PLEASE BHVR!!
-
That would just be a lot of tunneling. Not very fun, but of course, "survivor bad".
-
Heh, little did you know I only get to play against Deathslinger and Ghostface! GG EZ
-
Bugs are far too frequent, tons of killers need tweaking and new content takes priority over bug fixes, introducing more bugs.
-
Basic attack requirement is dumb and timer should be removed. If you're downing survivors in under 30 seconds then shouldn't you be rewarded? Knowing BHVR though they aren't going to do anything about it and probably just say it's underrated.
-
I just hope he doesn't end up like Freddy where he has literally no downsides.
-
Honestly I like the idea of having to juggle two killers and being able to pressure two sides of the map at will. Sadly that's not how they usually play. Right now they're only good at proxy camping.
-
So what else are they suppose to do? Die? If you have 2k+ hours you should know now that you probably shouldn't chase the guy who's looping you all game. Plenty of killers are viable in red ranks, it's just all on how you play them. I've wiped an entire team of sweats with Demo and Zanshin tactics ONLY before, but does that make Demo S++? Hell no. You have to learn how to capitalize on survivor mistakes as killer and punish the WHOLE TEAM, not just one survivor. The reason people play Spirit and Nurse is because they're the best killers. In every game there's a meta and acting like DBD is an exception due to bad balance is just dumb. Some people want to use the best ######### they have simply because they want to win. There's nothing wrong with it and if killer is too challenging for you, then maybe it's not the role you should play? I like killer gameplay because it's harder and more complex than survivor so winning is more rewarding. If killer were just the default "smack survivor, walk around loop and win" then it'd kill a lot of the fun.
-
Doc is annoying because it doesn't take a lot of skill to just spam shock to get ez downs. Especially on the newer maps with the pitiful pallets littering the map. Doc on Hawkins or Midwich is already a win from the start (of course considering the killer is actually competent).
-
You're not.
-
I think it's going to be a vampire of some sort.
-
Pig, Deathslinger and Demo have it the worst imo.
-
What about sweaty killer builds then? I always see people complain about survivor sweat builds but usually it's okay for killers to run Undying+Ruin+BBQ+Infectious or some variant of that.

Don't be afraid to use your cages. One of his biggest strengths is his ability to snowball quickly. But, also think about when you're using them. If you have two people downed and tormented its usually best to cage one, and then hook the other so you have a place you 100% know where to go after they get unhooked. As for his shockwave attack you should use it like huntress and aim where the survivors are going to be, not where they are. Unless the survivor runs in a straight line and doesn't attempt to dodge his attack. You can also use his power around corners to trick survivors into cutting loops wide. Just activate your trails and then let go and that gives you an ez hit.
-
If his vape burns out during the match he instantly dies and you can never play him again.
-
Because BHVR is too focused on releasing new content rather than actually addressing problems with the game. Eventually it's going to be so much they can't fix it anymore, but BHVR knows that there's nothing competing with DBD at the moment so they're pretty cocky about that as well.

Just say "gg" and leave instantly.
-
Nah bro it's Springtrap. King will have a new 10 minute video explaining why in about a day or two so don't worry if you're confused.
-
Freddy and Spirit are actually braindead. I guess Spirit at least requires you to listen for sounds, but even then any intermediate killer player can already and should be doing that.

I guess they do want to expand their lore more and more - for both older and new characters.
and maybe these stories are actually out of multiverses and that’s how the Legion story’s fit together, who knows.
frankly I don’t really care, I just don’t want all things LGBT explicitly excluded just because while heterosexual relationships are included. I actually hope, not every char gets their sexuality revealed. Only where it fits in the story naturally.
Agreed.
-
I think the idea of what they are and the implementation of them are what kills them. I like the idea of being able to rob survivors of strong loops, but also infinites shouldn't come back because "muh breakables". They should be like the ones at shack on Dead Dawg or the Badham Preschool walls. Bad examples would basically be everything else. The walls should be optional to break or have some sort of tactical use to them. Not "break or else u lose :)))".
-
I think they're starting to implement these things in the game. Look at Undying, a perk that has a change many people have suggested in the past of being able to relight totems once they're broken.

Because you asked what I mean:
you said you preferred the way that BHVR does not confirm any LGBT chars because it’s a horror game and they are going the „make your own headcanons“ route.
(this is wrong as you can see by the tweet that I linked in a post on thin thread btw.)
but what do you think about the lore of Legion for example: read the tome and tell me that the sexuality of Frank and Julie is up to headcanon. Felix has a pregnant wife. David had a girlfriend. Nurse was married to a man (and got insane after his death). All those characters have at least confirmed heterosexual relationships.
For a majority of characters though, their past relations are left really vague. Plus tomes aren't really that accurate to the backstories of most characters i.e Julie ended up being a murderous psychopath even though in Legion's lore Frank was the one who pressured the others into joining in on killing the janitor. I don't really care if we do or don't have LGBT characters, but I also think a lot of the mystery of the game would be lost if everyone had really detailed backstories.

So what’s your opinion on lore of Nurse, David, Legion, Felix?
What do you mean by this?
-
I honestly think bhvr is going to keep the whole "make your own headcanons" sort of route. I don't think we'll see any LGBT characters confirmed anytime soon. I prefer it because really it is a horror game and, while the lore of the character may be an appeal, it shouldn't be the sole focus of a character.
-
That system would be way too abusable. Just learn how to brush it off, after all it's just a video game.
-
Do bones.
-
DBD dominates the market for aysmmetrical horror games right now and BHVR knows it. If there were a legitimate competition to DBD I think the game would be in a much better spot than it currently is.
-
Stop releasing skins and fix #########.
-
No survivor bad and killer is victim. That is the true killer main mindset.

Do bones.

I feel like most of these types of questions can be answered by invoking "Because the Entity does/doesn't allow it."
It's the Entity's world after all.
Yeah but that's just really lazy. Although we could just leave it at game mechanics.

A scientist who researched The Entity heavily and even managed to make things from the Fog, case and point The Hatch existing. He got lost in the Void, but found a way out using the Putrid Serum; I assume he then tried to make more of the stuff next Blight but couldn't for some reason. Talbot found his journal and all his work in his lab (hence why he's got things like Plague Bile or crushed up bits of the Rose Bouchets in his add-ons, and literally has Vigo's Journal for one) and tried to replicate the Putrid Serum too to escape, creating thirty-two different compounds. Compound 32 (one of his add-ons) was his 2nd to last hope. It failed. Compound 33 was his final chance, and it failed him (which, same), turning him into the monster that is the Blight. His current location is unknown, but he's probably not dead and instead found a way to manipulate the Entity's Auric Cells into making a sub-realm to himself.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/197240/how-powerful-are-vigo-and-the-entity
Vigo's just a smart person who found a way to manipulate the Entity's Auric Cells, which is what it uses to create everything. The Entity is, as far as we know, a limitless being who can reach across multiple dimensions and affect the minds of everyone it touches, provided it has food. That food comes in the form of emotions- like Danganronpa, Hope and Despair being the two main ones- and the stronger the hope/despair the stronger it becomes.
Now I can't stop thinking about it since I referenced Danganronpa so have a gif of Junko Enoshima.

I played against a booli squad on Ormond playing Demo. 1 was a baby and died fast. I ate 2 unbreakables and then 2 of the survs bled out on the floor since Ormond loops literally allow you to loop a killer for that long ez pz. Finally got the guy and he stroked his dick a bit about how he "looped me forever" on the most piss easy surv map in the game. Post game was just general nastiness and overall I just didn't have any fun.
Another time was by a competent booli squad on Mothers Dwelling. All of them had DS,Unbreakable,SB,BT. Playing as Demo once again, it was a complete slug fest and back and forth of them getting up again and getting downed again. Tough match but it was fun. I really wish I could see the post game chat but my monitor conveniently unplugged and I couldn't get it back on for a bit.

That sounds more like punishing a bad unhook to be honest.
-
Posting anything on here that isn't killer sided is suicide. You know that right?
-
Only when there's not an obsession in the match is when tunneling or camping becomes a problem.
-
Its just usually just trolling. Getting mad about it is probably what they want from you anyways. I also doubt BHVR has any control over that type of stuff as well.

The desire to ignore the reason why people are moving to killers that you complain about instead of asking what's wrong with the older killers is strong with you.
Maybe if the other killers didn't have masses and masses of counterplay while survivors had relatively little then perhaps people would be more open to using the "fun" killers.
Survivors have plenty of counter play. It's all about forcing them into mistakes.

I just hope they fix nurse's bugs before they make a whole tome for her.

Its all about the mindgames.
I know that but mindgames aren't reliable when good survivors expect them. You cut corners wider and take weird pathing and his ability is useless.

where's the " make him more fun to play as and against " part?
While I agree that PH isn't that good in his current state. I don't see these suggested changes making it to the game anytime soon. Survivors hate his ability because it leaves them with no choice. you either drop the pallet and get hit. or you keep holding W and also get hit. you either vault the window and get hit. or fake the vault and also get it. (excluding the free tunneling pass he has)
If anything. These changes will only increase the amounts of frustrated survivors asking for him to get nerfed.
(okay. now my opinion)
I like the " Route B " idea (except for twice as fast activation time. maybe instead give him add-ons that increase the activation time. but not make it base-kit). but because of what i wrote above. I can't see it happening anytime soon.
So to Compensate I guess. We can slow him down and make him move at something like 90% while in his POTD mode. And increase the cool-down for existing that mode without attacking (POTD). this will eliminate the reason why survivors hate going against them. and hopefully make your suggestion possible.
I was hoping to remove his zoning and reward genuine skillful plays with the ability. Also he already moves at 90% in POTD stance.
-
It's not holding the game hostage, it's tactically waiting for hatch.
-
There's wayyy more smurf killers in rank 20 than there is survivors. Maxed out builds with BBQ, Infectious, Pop, etc. Plus this was not a sweat squad, or else the perks would be way different.
-
With how immature people are in this community it's terrible. Unless you could disable it by default or something.
