But then the question is, would buying a skin for Mina require her base character to be purchased first?
Well yes that's how it works you have to have trickster in order to get the skins
-
Can we get back old ugly Quentin so he can be the abomination lol
-
People really like Mina and the sales did really well Devs should absolutely keep making new skins of Mina she's an untapped gold mine

Holy flashbang batman I don't check these forums for a week and it's collapsing.

So if I get this right, it needs a swf with really good players and the best perks availible and Blight becomes decent to play against?
How is this a reasonable statement? A majority of the playerbase isn't playing on that level. A majorty of the playerbase is playing soloq. In soloq, you cannot communicate.
A brute force pallet break - > get power with hit before survivor can make it anywhere - blight takes very little skill to play and gets great rewards.
This nerf addresses exactly that playstyle. Good blights will still be very strong, but bad blights will finally get punished for this, excuse me, lazy playstyle.
It's not just about nerfing aspects of the game, that are clearly too strong. Something that blight has been for literally years at this point. It's also about incentivising healthy gameplay.
His line of thinking is basically "he's the only Killer that can handle the top esport level Survivors" like ok? That just proves blight is so strong he miserable to go against as average level survivors
-
Didn't devs address this by giving a blood fountain at the start and a addon to get more blood fountain
-
Because it would turn into a cod Lobby and people know what I'm talking about
-
I can't agree with this anonymous is there to protect sure some people use it to be toxic but we can't remove just cause of that I really don't wanna be the target of streamers and content creators.
Like on Twitter if you play wrong or you do something they don't just like. They will make a twitter cancellation witchhunt on you and find your twitter to harass you or like YouTube to be put in those dbd videos or compilations with your name there.
I do not want to be a victim of any of this which is why I never turn off anon mode but I'm sorry it has to stay.

Why are people defending this? If one little graphic change (that wasn't there before) will make it so people can play without issues, then just do it. Lots of people are colorblind, that's why there are colorblind settings. Lot of people have motion sickness, that's why many games have adjustments to help with nausea. We don't just tell these people not to play if a small fix will help.
I have a hearing condition can I have some accessibility so I can adjust some sound options and also have some accessibility so I can play as and against Spirit since it's a killer that fully relies on sound.

The number changes were suggested by our Consultants, as things that can be done by a Designer without programming bandwidth. There might be slight number adjustments to the live release based on the PTB feedback, that still remains to be seen.
Why they are not directly in the game, is that they have to go through a release cycle, so they'd be with the next release. The next release is what this PTB content is including. There's no way to put them into the game without a release.
If there's any changes to be made from the Killer survey, they'll be in later releases, we work many months ahead.Im sorry but what kinda consultants are you hiring if they saying to give a .05 buff to a killer or 1 second off a cooldown? You may need to reevaluate having them if they doing this again.
Furthermore I hope Devs realize these miniscule buffs are absolutely not good enough and they give more substantial buffs in the live release. Literally everyone agrees this was the most disappointing part of the patch.

hooks didn’t respawn if you sacrificed a survivor on one, back then it was easy to create an entire hook deadzones. 1hook in one section of the map and survivors would know that and take advantage. Remember original rpd and boilover? Hooks now respawn after sacrificing survivors.
Old deadhard
Old ds
Old infinite loops which most killers couldn’t counter
Old circle of healing
Faster gens times
Bigger maps
Slower animations/ longer cooldowns
Spinechill/resi vault speeds
Killer used to be way harder, any killer main from the pre wesker era knows that despite where the game sits right now balance wise killer is still easier than back then.
Hot take but I agree with the killer main in me will never forget the horror of old dead hard and infinite old haddon field windows

I think anyone who isn't speaking with spite rn toward the killer will agree they don't want him Skull Merchant treatmented (most people who say this are just really really sick of them, so like you have to take said opinions with a pinch of salt).
Me personally I just want them to be more fun to face, so like as I said the animation lock surrounding the first bite coming from a range and over rocks just feels terrible to go against. To have that much mobility is one thing, but I feel if you do with that short a CD (I don't want the CD nerfed) maybe the first bite is how to make them feel better. Not necessarily lose it just make it so he has to land near and cant do it over pallets or obstacles or from across the loop.
That way it rewards skillful play with his mobility, and feels better on the survivor side.Like I believe we're being more then fair we're not trying to repeat skullmerchant. But the matter of the fact is blight has been king of dbd for 6 years in this broken state and this first round of nerfs doesn't affect good blights only bad blights who zone with 4.6 and the second round of nerfs are just gonna address his problematic add-ons like the speed addons.
After all this I believe Blight will still be top of A-Tier at the end of all this that's hardly a SM treatment I'd say.

Trickster requires line of sight but on Tricksters delusional there's so many Line of sight blockers and cutoffs like objects door ways and buildings it makes it very hard to get hits with trickster.

There are two reasons there are no meaningful Ghoul nerfs:
1: Ghoul is fundamentally poorly designed. A killer that injures you for free from a distance AND has great mobility is inherently unfair. They can't meaningfully nerf him without a total resdesign.
2: Survivors are currently the strongest they've been since at least 2019. The vast majority of killers are not viable and feel absolutely miserable to play. Ghoul provides people who do not have 20k hours in the game with the possibility of winning. Take that away and half the killer playerbase leaves permanently.
1. I agree with
2. I don't agree with having a super easy Killer that's easily beats even Strong survivors due to how easy their kit does all the work for them is atrocious for the games health. Look at skull merchant she was like that prior to Ghoul

for me I feel like my main gripe is around the first hit, like how far he can pull himself to you and then you have to deal with that crap animation lock, if it was he had to land right by you and then "grab" I feel it would feel better, not this latch onto a nearby wall and grab from across the loop.
Like wesker where he has to dash onto you to hurt you then it'd be okay. Though even with the changes how awful the first "hit" feels, if it was like he has his mobility but needs to be close to get both hits I'd not care as much.
like the first hit into dissolution and blood favor etc is what makes it such an eyeroll to face.I think if Ghoul players are so adamant of keeping him 4.6 then his grab attack has to be nerfed in some sort of way like making him a bit more like nemesis where he has to Kagune mark people first before he can Injure and empower with a grab attack.

Wouldn’t that just make him a better stealth killer than any other actual stealth killer?
I don’t usually engage with the camera system not just because the rewards aren’t that good but also because the coverage is so spotty that I’m not getting line of sight on anything anyway so what’s the point? Meanwhile I’d be leaving myself vulnerable while my face is shoved in a camera to a killer that could be behind me as easily as he could be across the map.
A Valid take usually the door spawns are so atrocious and depending on the map especially indoor maps you don't get much sight and if someone you get that 1/100 luck of SpringTrap on camera vision of him breaks so fast you can't even reveal him
-
Its not useless just not worth it? Wasting time just to aura reveal for a short time is not worth maybe if it did something more then it would be worth.

@Mandy said:
One thing to consider with all of this, is certification. Right now we can put things on the PTB branch of steam with relative ease, even if the build is not fully polished - all translations done etc. That is not something we could do on part of the main game, also the certification process takes time, our production timelines would have to change pretty drastically meaning there would be less time for changes to the game etc.
Ugh ok geuss forget that idea if it's even less of this nothing burger patch then it would genuinely no point doing them

@bm33 said:
Can give him permanent undetectable but I don't see that as being something survivors would see as being worth it to hop off gens over and over to go stand at a camera, especially in a solo q lobby where they can't coordinate. When Hex Plaything is in play survivors don't go out of their way now to remove the one time effect, if they pass a glowing totem that's when they'll stop otherwise they are just more alert to their surroundings. Permanent undetectable I think would just have survivors be more alert the entire match rather than wasting time standing at a camera over and over.
Make doors deactivate for a time after looking through a camera to shut down a teleport option, that would be a better incentive to get survivors to hop off a gen and stare at a camera.
I always thought that made sense being at a door to deny the tp

Thanks for the added detail there! I appreciate it. If you don't mind me asking, what about The Doctor feels inconsistent to you?
Jumping in on this, Doctors Move speed while charging is very slow compared to other Killers and it creates a sort of infinite looping cause doctor can never catch up with the survivor while shocking.
Right now his movespeed while charging is 3.0ms which is very slow please buff it to 4.0ms

The only one that actually looks good is Demogorgons

I feel the diminishing returns won't have the effect people think it'll have, minus rounding out some edge cases like power of two which I guarantee people here do not face on a regular basis. the best builds are already "generic 4 good perks"
It won't effect meta perks cause most of them don't have stacking modifiers it'll only make mid perks worse and then build variety and the meta will be even more common

I ran it with Deja Vu and the only matches I won with it were those where the killers got barely any hooks and we would have won anyway. The FT was incidental and basically a wasted slot.

It took how long for Blight? 6 years? So we have 5 more years for Ghoul. Be patient.
If they take that long to do something about Ghoul I actually believe alot of Survivors will leave this game or just move to killer and cause an oversaturation of killer players.

The Fast Track that's in the PTB is not going to be the one that goes Live….we're making adjustments from PTB (that we already have planned) so I wouldn't say nerf for the final version but more of a sidegrade.
Wow we can get Fast Track nerfed in only a month
but when a majority of complaints over a Year can't get Ghoul nerfed 😑

Just wanted to mention: per Lilith's video Blight will be getting 2 phases of nerfs. The first is what was mentioned in the dev stream. This is intended to raise his skill floor (people will have to use power more).
The 2nd phase will be a power rework (I think). Check out the video to get the whole story.
Note: Lilith is for sure 1 of (maybe only) consultant BHVR is working with to implement these changes for Blight.I know either Hens is or he knows someone who is cause he's received and revealed information about from consultants

I think a big problem with Doctor is the fact that survivors can press the vault button as they're running up to the pallet/window. This effectively means that from your perspective, you can shock a survivor before they start the vaulting animation, yet they will still vault over anyways because them running was actually apart of the animation.
This is rarely a problem for other killers, but it feels horrible for Doctor, especially when latency is factored in. I think the simplest fix would just be to have his shock cancel the vault unless the survivor has reached the point in the animation where they are actively touching the interactable.
Yeah I think Doc when he shocks needs to cancel pre queued up animations from survivors

He was a weak killer compared to the average killer, always has been, but he has gotten weaker. That's not because stronger survivors, because in general, due to how Doc has dropped in how common he is, I therefor expect less survivors to know all the weaknesses. Which is true. But the counterplay to each weakness has been increased:
More lockers, meaning easier to dodge static blast
More jungle gyms where the window and pallet are on opposing sides
On average bigger pallet obstacles that are not only affecting Doc, Huntress is the biggest example other than Doc that has gotten weaker because of other balancing things. Huntress was pretty much always in the middle of A tier, but I can give you names of quite a few Huntress mains who will say she's mid B at best. Not because survivors have gotten stronger, but because tiles have changed.
I would have considered Doc somewhere between top C-mid B. Now, the only reason I wouldnt put him into D is because static blast does give him quite a bit of info.
Doc could shut down killer shack within 3 loops with well timed m2's, he can still do that. Doc could shut down most other loops within 2 loops or at least force a pallet drop. He can no longer do that, it is mathematically impossible and the average lies around 4 loops before a pallet is forced to be dropped. Like, imagine a killer who was designed where survivors needed to go from tile to tile because they couldnt loop a good doctor, not because they were bad, but because staying at 1 tile would mathematically guarantee hits for doctor within 2 loops.
So just in short, before, on average, it was mathematically impossible for survivors to loop any tile more than 2 times without getting hit if both sides played perfectly. They needed to drop the pallet and move on, or risk a hit.
Now, its mathematically impossible for Doc to get a hit within 3 times if both sides play perfectly, and while mathematically possible in the 4th loop, that will depend on ping.
It doesnt matter if survivors got better, mathematically speaking, doc got weaker.I think he's been power crept by newer killers who's got better abilities, faster cooldowns
-
Used to also main Doc I can agree that the problems with Doc is his shock blocking of 2.5s is too short and his Slowdown while charging shock is to slow and needs to be 4.0ms
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
Agree with the general ideas why Doctor is weak. When reading your suggestions, I have some concerns tho. I have played Doctor a very long time and after I played him recently, it is quite obvious how much he has fallen off (I learned him back when you had to switch stances and played him a lot after the Rework and always quite regularly).
To your suggestions:
1 and 5 should obviously not happen together, but I cannot currently see if this might not be too much Shock Duration. It sounds really long, but in reality it will probably be fine. However, if either of those happened, they should do something against his camping potential since you can interrupt Unhooks very reliable with the Shocks.
2 Fully agree on the Slowdown, it is too much by todays standards. 4.0 at least sounds reasonable, I dont think he should be full speed, but not losing distance or only losing a very bit of distance (when being slightly lower than 4.0) should be fine.
I dont like suggestion 3. Simply because with Shock Therapy you at least have to aim, while Static Blast would be an action block without anything you really have to do except for pressing one button.
Suggestion 4 is interesting, but a few things here. I dont think that a permanent 8% breaking Speed increase would be too strong, even when paired with Brutal Strength. Because it will be at least 8%, since you should have people in Madness 1 very quickly. But I dont know if 16% paired with Brutal Strength is not a bit too much, since you cannot go down from Madness 2 as Survivor. But this is just a feeling. Not a fan of Pallets breaking instantly when using M2 when all Survivors are in Madness 3. It will be a once in a blue moon-scenario, but the Survivor in chase would be the one screwed the most, even if they are the one who cannot snap out of Madness at all, so he basically has to deal with it because the team is not snapping out of it fast enough.
I think the buffs to 1 and 2 should be the focus and go through

If it's the start of the game, i ignore them. If they're being particularly persistent then I'll slug them. They usually start playing normally after that. Less often they'll DC. If it's late game and they've clearly lost then I'll hook them so they can get to their next game
Accept that doesn't really work anymore? Cause if they're being persistent and you slug them they can just abandon giving them what they want it really is a lose lose situation
Abandoning when being slugged really needs to go
