Forget the terrible matchmaking (and yes it it horrible), you're starting now? A game with a horrible grind??? Dude leave now! You're looking at thousands of hours before you get ok perks in all killers.
I mean it's feasible, but it's like trying to break the top of a mountain by smacking it with a floppy peepee....
-
For someone like me that has an eyesight disability, you have no idea how much of a god sent that Windows of opportunity buff is!!! God damn!
-
Depends. If I try to play (central eu) killer in the morning to middle in the afternoon then yeah it takes forever while survivor games are instant.
It's the other way around during the night though, my killer queues are about 20 seconds in average.
I must say i suck tier 3 peepee as killer and probably have low Mmr so that must be why

That’s fine, I’ll still be playing DBD too, I’m just hoping people will give the competition a chance.
Oh don't get me wrong, it's great that dbd gets some competition! Other games of the same genre is a really good thing, but i just don't have the patience or time to start a grind heavy game.
But again, a litle bit of competition could even be really good for dbd as it would finally make the devs put in a bit more effort towards easy things to fix
-
I'm not going to quit dbd after grinding my way to where i am now to start another game that also has a grind and perk tiers.
I've been playing 3 games for the past months: dbd, rocket league and rainbow 6, and the more i play the last two mentioned the more i find the grind senseless, unnecessary and unwanted.
-
If that means the game won't freeze anymore than fine by me
-
Gee i don't know let's think about it...oh yeah it was a dumb "feature"
-
I blocked messages and friend requests at a certain point, and it was the best decision i could have made.
-
I'm going to say it depends... À lot of people here say killer is easy and survivor is way harder... But in my personal experience it's the other way around, I reached basically rank 1 playing solo yet with killer was never able to go beyond rank 8, even now days struggle to keep up with a random team of green ranks.
-
Blight.
I'm a potato with all of them, but holy molly do i suck with blight. I've had my share of good matches as nurse on the past but i don't think i had a single good one with pinball boi

I must admit.... This add on is my guilty pleasure. (very guilty even)
I put it on with an extra box and always have a head pop here and there. But i do it like once or twice a year so it's not a common thing i do because it's kinda bullpoop to go against...
-
That's a pretty good idea!
Next person to post must play:
Nurse with - bamboozle ; enduring ; spirit fury: play with your food
-
If you're rank 16 the only way to go even lower is to.... Well... Stay there and wait for rank reset, where you'll be pushed back to 17, stay there for another month and wait rank reset and be pushed back to rank 19 if I'm not mistaken.
Thing is, you'll be back in rank ~16 again in a few matches since its easier to pip on those very low ranks so it's not a strategy i would advise.
-
*gets slammed by a pallet *
"oh yes, harder daddy"
-
I mean, people who play survivor are more tortured when killers camp and tunnel so they are doing it the correct way, imma right??
Right?
Jimmy? Not the pitchfork again, Jimmy!!! I'm just joking, I'm still healing from last time! Not the my poop dispenser Jimmy ohhhhhhhh!!!

That's 115 cakes that could be going towards someone in need. Remember that next time you queue up without one.
Nah, I'm on ps4 and I'm still having performance issues. I'll start using them as soon as they are completely fixed. Trust me, i need those points as well
-
I'm hording 115 on my nemy.... Fight me :)
-
You know your pain. I decided to suck it up and play even if i was hating every second of it. I'm probably in alot of killer bully montages but it allowed me to max nemesis and trickster, get 115 cakes on nemy, 40 on tricky and 5 on freddy. It was painful but I'm happy to have done it

I had not gotten that far. The intention was three colors, and some way to fit in a juggling animation. But discussions with other designers and the UI team indicated three was going to cause interface complexity issues. So that was dropped before I had designed what the different bottles would do.
I'm very happy with how it turned out in the end. The various other developers (programming, UI, VFX, audio, QA I hope I didn't miss anyone) involved in the implementation did a great job!
For sake of also giving positive feedback, i just want to say i love the clown rework. I still don't use the yellow bottles because i still haven't practiced, but i like how changes were made but it's still the same old clown we've known.
-
Lately (after a long break) I've been playing no blink nurse with I'm all ears (tier 1), enduring (tier 1), spirit fury (tier 2) and play with your food (tier 3)
Wanted to have bamboozle but... Grind is a good thing.... Right?
Can't get more friendly than that
-
Just played the first match, with nemesis.
Still freezes after a tentacle hit, and hooking. No freezes seen when bloodlust kicked in and way better than for this past month. Far from perfect but not kidding, this patch saved dbd for me.
-
I used to do this in the old game map, with the 2 terror radius increase add ons and nurses to see what was going on. I stood still watching a guy self care 10m away from me (thanks nurses) and.... Well.... After 45 seconds i got bored and downed him. It's good laughs though

Hand it over... That thing... your medkit..
Chill there gael.. Find your own medkit

If killer waiting times are high i play survivor and vice versa
-
My personal experience is this:
From early morning to ~4pm its easier to find survivor match (solo queu)
But in the evening it's way faster to find a killer match.
It's also the best thing of not maining a role... I just play what role has the shortest waiting times
-
I will admit, last night i decided to do a killer match before going to bed since i completely forgot about these current issues.... And oh my god it was so painful. I'm definitely putting killer role on wait for the moment.

If it was changed the way I intend it to, people will see that they are affected by the hooked person's Kindred. If I alone run Kindred and sit on the end of the map, my Kindred just shows me that it's active. But I don't know if I see them all, because eof my Kindred or because of the hooked person's Kindred. Therefore I still don't know if someone else is gonna go for the save if they are way closer to them, you know what I mean? :)
I might be on the ignorant side of the question but... Doesn't every one see each others auras once someone with kindred has its perk activated?
-
It just shows survivor mains who complain about how killer sided this game is are just slacking and are to lazy to put the effort to get better ammirigh?? Huh?
.... Jimmy..... Jimmy put down that pitchfork.... Jimmy its just a joke JIMMY!!!
-
I don't understand what you mean, but again I'm not the smartest man...
On a personal level, kindred is great how it is and i run it almost 100% of the times I'm in solo queue
-
I'm going to disagree with you and do something i rarely do by saying you are wrong.
One of the best points about this game is killer variety, and trying different things. Some perks are better or funnier to use on different killers. It's not normal to grind for hundreds of hours just to try something on a killer. And we're not even talking about P3'ing here.
If you really think the grind is fine, especially for new players, than you don't have a good state of mind.
Just for info, how long have you been playing for?
And dude... You gotta tone down on the whole imposing you're way of thinking on to people. If it's a fact then it's a fact, but for a while now you have this "if you don't think like me you're in the wrong, no discussion possible" mentality and it's really not positive.
-
Dispite me getting owned every match and really missing most of my tentacle attacks causing me to lose match after match.... I'm somehow having fun, and had a huuuuuge laugh while memeing with someone who didn't see a zombie comming her way.
The only thing I'm still not sure about is the speed boost survivors get after first tentacle hit. If they are not losing a health state, should they really get a speed boost??
-
That's the worse part. I suck with this killer but I'm loving it! It's nemesis for gods sake! Even if i swore not to get it cos don't have patience to grind yet another killer. But.... Omg the lag spikes are insane!
-
I just played my first match with nemesis on ps4, and this is unacceptable!!!
-
I'm still around but playing less and less.
Last few days I'm leveling up my freddy because i want to be a freddy main again (stopped playing him after rework) but I'm less motivated to play this game
-
Until they fix the grind I'm not getting any new characters
-
So if i understand, the consensus is that blight is ok but if someone took the time and effort to master him, he's tough to beat so.... The solution is to.... Nerf the character?
-

This was at ormond too.
Yes... I play scratch mirror myers in random maps.... Don't juge its for the lols :D
-
Scratch mirror myers with 115 speed? That would be too powerful.
Remember, you're not supposed to chase them, you hit and run. It's a very different playing style
-
Don't you dare make them change scratch mirror myers! It's literally the funniest thing to do in this game!
If you want speed boost to get to tier 3 there are already add ons to help you with that, even some that makes tier 3 last longer.
-
I'm not going to sugar-coat it and mean this in the nicest way possible.... Get used to it. Matchmaking has been horrible for killers for months and months so expect to get thrown in these rank 1 matches very often, and of course that means toxic teams. It sucks but that's unfortunately how it is and personally i don't think Mmr will change anything (even though deep down inside, I'm begging to be wrong)
-
Give it a litle bit of time. I'm sure things might feel iffy at the moment but it will hopefully get in place after you do several matches
-
Just play better next time forehead
/s
-
Dumb question since we're at it.... The rewards are supposed to start once Mmr is implemented.... But.... What's stopping then from turning them on now?
-
Maybe he was running out of time and couldn't decide what perk to use. Happens to me all the time.
Last time i ended up using beast of prey on doctor.
-
Survivors. I've been playing multiplayer games for years, ranging from fps, poker, racing sims, the dark souls series but from my personal experience and what i see, the survivor community is the worse I've ever seen. Is the killer side better? Mmm...there are some gems out there for sure.

I enjoy messing around with friends in dbd I dont mind losing games to spirit as long as we had fun ik this is really rare but the one thing that does remove my and my friends fun is the grind. We can't do anything about it other than pray that the devs listen and bless us with something.
Oh i completely understand and worse case scenario... If he only plays survivor.... The grind will still be ungodly but a bit less than killer. Unless he chooses 1 or 2 killers to play and that's it, but what's the point of buying dbd to only play a couple of characters?
Wish you all the best of luck and fun in your games
-
If you're a true friend you'll tell him to stay away from this game.
Don't get me wrong, i love it but would i play it if i was starting now? No way in hell, UNLESS he has thousands of hours to spare.
Against my advice 2 of my friends got this game. Spoiler alert they don't play anymore. Wonder why?
-
Is this what we're coming to? Is the aura reading useful? It can be, (wich makes it healthy for the game weather you want to believe it or not) and so what of it? A PERK is designed by defenition to give you something, some kind of advantage at a certain time or situation.
Plus It has many counters, but let's not talk about that right? The killers are lazy.....
Reminds me of the time i was playing with a friend, told him to counter bbq (this was just before a hook) but he decided to run at me like a headless chicken and getting us both caught.... Of course he then resumed to complain about BBQ... But sure. Its time to make people feel bad or less of a player for not wanting to put the effort to learn how to avoid something you don't like.
-
I almost play solo survivor. What about people who have no one to play?
