Buff the repair speed to 12-15% and we can start talking, there is too much risk of snowballling an entire match just because of someone trying to get value out of this awful perk. Its just a bad idea of a perk from the beggining, you shouldnt run the killer near a gen thats being repaired. Most of the times your teammates will curse you for doing that, even if you are giving them that little to nothing repair buff. Absolutely not worth the risk, even less in soloQ. I can only hope for this perk never comes in play in one of my matches.
The issue with buffing the numbers too much is that it risks becoming too good in ideal conditions, that being two-floor indoor maps like Midwich and The Game. And then in any other situation it remains useless. There's zero saving the design of the perk, it's rotten to the core. Needs an entirely new effect.

I would've just let him get the kills. Poor dude is probably in agony trying to get that dumb achievement.
-
Maps and keys kind of feel like relics from the past, they just don't get any acknowledgement.

So if the match reaches endgame with no kills, what else should the killer do? Sit in the corner and let the survivors conga line out the exit gates with no resistance?
Practice chases, do something fun. Staring at a survivor on the hook sure isn't why I queue for killer.

Because the killer will do everything in their power to tunnel you out, or camp you on hook in end game.
If it's endgame, what else should the killer do? Going for another survivor is risky -- you aren't guaranteed to get the down. So the safest option is to just defend the hook you've already got and confirm the kill.
Unless they have a challenge to get sacrifices, what's the point of camping for a 1k? What does that prove, that they can stare at a hooked survivor for 2 minutes? Gee, that sure is a huge outplay. Sounds to me that it's just saving the player's fragile ego, cause after all, they "beat" at least one survivor.
-
Pretty good changes, especially the new disarm mini-game.
-
Yes, but only for Champion of Light. I'm looking forward to pairing that with Chemical Trap and Residual Manifest to flood the killer with debuffs. Otherwise I don't really care, far more interested in Hillbilly's rework.
-
In a recent survey they asked if people would be interested in cross-progression, with the catch being that DLCs bought through Xbox/PlayStation/etc. stores wouldn't transfer. I already knew the reason was because the platforms didn't want people getting DLCs that were bought elsewhere, but it's nice to see official confirmation.

I agree with this 100%, both of those add-ons were cool and Mother's Helpers was especially a genuinely useful add-on outside of meme builds. Also, bring back Leafy Mash, it was another cool add-on that benefited from stealth Billy/silent Billy builds.
I also think Pighouse Gloves can stay over the new purple Overdrive add-on because it benefits more from Overdrive than it did with Overheat. It was a cool idea of an add-on but no one ever got value out of it since it required you to overheat. Now that Overdrive exists and replaces the mechanic, it would actually work more consistently while not being busted.
I'm glad someone else agrees! And that's an excellent point about the Pighouse Gloves, that add-on could be genuinely good and fun with Overdrive replacing Overheat.

The biggest example for me is Nemesis. I like the character, and his kit, animations, and sound design all make for a satisfying experience. But facing him feels kind of miserable when every loop is basically a guaranteed hit for him.
Trapper isn't as bad as Nemesis for me, but I'm still not a big fan of facing him. Love Trapper, very cool design and traps feel great to pull off. But stepping in something you had no idea was there isn't very fun, and it's kind of annoying to stare at the ground any time you're on the move.
-
They could probably live without it, yeah. Feels like there are very few safe loops left in the game. And I would know, I run Chemical Trap often and pallets the killer is forced to break are pretty rare.
-
Whatever buff he gets, it better not give survivors even fewer options for counterplay than they already have.
-
I think that'd be fine if it just replaced the portrait of the survivor using the legendary skin.
-
It's funny that you point out how Dead Hard pretty much only counters the top tier killers, while basically any other killer is unaffected. That's a good thing.
-
Free to play would make the prices worse, I've seen it happen plenty of times when games make the transition. The low entry fee (especially on sale) is a much preferable state.

The perks simply need to be nerfed. Especially WoO. Basically draws a giant red arrow from one of those YouTube clickbait saying "RUN HERE"
Why would WoO need to be nerfed? Actually good players already know where windows and pallets spawn. And SWF, the most powerful survivors, can just call out which pallets they've already thrown, so they don't need WoO. The only thing it does is prevent solo players from running to dead zones, and help newer players who haven't developed map knowledge.
You're also forgetting that WoO can be countered by killer's best information perk at the moment, Ultimate Weapon.
-
Because updates for this game always have bugs or gameplay flaws. A 3 week period before the changes go live can give them time to address the issues.
-
People really pout and throw a fit when people unhook in front of them? Why? The outcome is indentical, they're off the hook and you can heal them. Only difference is the 1.5k bloodpoints is shifted from you to them. Are you really going to throw the entire match over 1.5k bloodpoints??
-
Nostalgia is a hell of a drug
-
It's already running for 2 weeks, don't think I ever remember a Blood Hunt lasting that long. They're only running it now because there'd be no incentive to play otherwise, due to no active rift and no updates for 2 months. Plenty of people will be hopping on for Alan and Hillbilly's rework, they don't need to bait people with additional rewards.
-
Players who have zero originality and just run whatever they saw at the top of "dbdtierlist.com" are boring, sure. But when I look at these perks, I'm amazed at how generally unproblematic our current survivor meta is. Nothing on the level of old Dead Hard, Circle of Healing, or Made for This at play.
-
They really should look at normalizing terms like these for perks. It's annoying when I'm looking for haste perks on killer, but some perks don't refer to the speed buff as haste.
-
Don't see why not, shard payout is pitiful and needs improving.
-
Kill rates are already in the killer's favor, and you want survivors to spend an additional 20% time doing generators? Have you even played survivor?
-
It effectively does nothing at all. In most situations it will only save 1-2 seconds on a gen. Just let that sink in.
-
Problem is even if his power is improved, he's still the lame version of Freddy. I don't think there's any way to get the Freddy people would actually care about.
-
Just play a lot during the anniversary, unlimited streamers
-
Extremely unlikely. They never gave Ash a killer like Eligos or Baal, nor the iconic cabin as a map. Alan Wake is even smaller than Evil Dead, I just can't ever see that happening.
-
Not something I've noticed. After they introduced MMR almost nobody AFKs anymore.
-
Undetectable killers/perks is exactly what you're looking for. Sneak up on survivors and confuse them in chase, true horror experience.
-
I like the idea of being able to help teammates after death somehow, maybe as a ghost that can buff survivors or hinder the killer like you said. It would also help the tunneling issue if sacrificing a survivor wasn't a pure buff to the killer for the rest of the match.
-
I think that would be an alright change, the perk is hardly ever worth running in its current state. It'd also be nice to have a hex worth cleansing to better synergize with my Haunted Ground build.
-
You were hit before the vault animation ended, I don't see the issue. I've been hit by a Wesker through a pallet after clearing it and moving 5 feet away, this is nothing whatsoever.
-
BHVR asked in a recent survey if people would be interested in cross-progression, even if DLCs from the platform's store won't transfer. Hopefully that's indicative we'll finally get it soon.

The problem is most of the perks are simple number changes, but the devs refuse to just change them. I think I could fix most perks in one day by just changing numbers and some unwanted negative effects.
It really is frustrating how much they drag their feet with perk changes. I've been begging them to buff Pharmacy, Wake Up, and Mettle of Man for ages.
-
The perk is still strong. There are over 100 perks in the game that need help before Dead Hard. Or is a perk automatically useless unless it's so good that it may as well be base kit for all survivors?
-
I sincerely wish they do this. I just think it's very unlikely, unfortunately.
-
Even with your explanation, I can't fathom why you wouldn't want to hear Nic Cage talking. Unless of course his voice is just annoying in general to someone.
I definitely don't want them to drop voice lines from future characters. But the option to turn it off sounds fine.
-
I really want them to, but I'm not expecting it. Ash isn't all that popular of a survivor, and BHVR probably wouldn't see it as profitable to record like 10 minutes of lines, from Bruce freakin' Campbell, for an older character without any immediate monetary return. I think our best chance at getting more lines for him will be when they release his asylum skin in the shop, but that's still quite a long shot.
-
While the audio spam is annoying, it's a good thing that they're doing literally nothing rather than gens.
-
I hadn't even considered that, I guess they'd have to? Not really a big deal with the prestige rework though.
-
Never thought I'd see the day where people complain about Deja Vu. Is saving 5 seconds on a gen and seeing a few auras really so upsetting?
-
I don't know about dead silence, it'd be kind of unfair if even a pro survivor has zero tell that the killer is right on top of them without line of sight. But less sound would certainly be nice, it's crazy that undetectable Dredge has almost no benefit over a full terror radius.
-
That'd be a nice change, but I think ultimately his kit is just flawed. Dream Snares are just Clown bottles if they were the most boring thing ever, and Projection is awful compared to all of the teleports in the game now. A character like Freddy Krueger should have a way more fun, creative kit.
-
They'd have to change Trickster's chase theme to sound like actual music first. But nope, guess the music-themed killer just gets blares and screeches.
-
Does new Billy really overshadow Bubba that much? Bubba still has more versatility than Billy, not to mention greater snowball potential.
-
Try to keep a mental note of each survivor portrait on the left of the screen, and remember how many times you've hooked each of them. If there are multiple of the same survivor, just think of them as "[survivor name] 1" and "[survivor name] 2" to avoid confusion.
-
I think it might deserve about 150% regression speed to be decent. Though I'm not of the opinion that regression absolutely needs to be meta like so many in this community. I'd prefer all slowdown nerfed to be around mid-tier, and killers can get more basekit slowdown to compensate. I think that would help build variety a lot.
-
I think the opinions are almost always very uninformed, usually stemming from a bias for which role or character they main. While there is some good feedback the community gives, like the outcry when they tried to nerf Billy's engravings a while back. Most of it is just begging for their overpowered crutches to return so they can abuse them. "Revert Circle of Healing, buff Dead Hard, buff Pain Res, buff Pop."
-
Probably the least interesting licensed chapter so far. Kinda neat though.
