hot take

hot take: i think the gen requirement should be 6 instead of 5. currently the killer isnt really trying to prevent the survivors from completing 5 gens because the first one is basically free. by the time the killer actually finds someone that first gen will be completed basically making it 4 gens before anything is actually happening. by increasing it to 6 it would make it so the killer would actually have 5 gens since the first one (in this case the 6th one) is almost always free

  • Running Corrupt Intervention might be a good idea.

corrupt doesnt do anything when everyone spawns apart infront of a gen

  • "First one is basically free" Just ONE, really?

When I play killer, my first 3 gens are free. I can only chase 1 survivor at a time, that survivor has all the map resources to use, and changing targets does nothing when the person I stopped chasing takes their place on the gen.

  • The Gens are there to stall survivors while the Killer kills Survivors.

You should be asking how conductive the current 5 Gens are to whatever the point of "balance" is.

Otherwise if you're just concerned with Gen numbers, how do you know it's not the case the game is balanced around 4 Gens and the 5th one is there is to make it so the Killer actually has 4 Gens?

It blocks the generators you are far away from and survivors tend to spawn far away from the killer because, you know, it makes sense. Therefore, they cannot access the generator .

  • Kill rates are already in the killer's favor, and you want survivors to spend an additional 20% time doing generators? Have you even played survivor?
