I don't even understand how survivors have fun running only ever running the same meta perks every match. Most of them aren't even fun or interesting at all, literally just moving faster in chase. I would've got bored of playing survivor within the first 10 hours if I couldn't do healing or info builds.
-
Old Freddy was somehow even more boring that he currently is. Giving survivors a 50% repair debuff that requires them to miss a skillcheck to snap out is such a dumb mechanic. It's not interesting from the Freddy's perspective either, just an M1 killer that debuffs survivors.

There was an attempt to make her hitbox smaller, but it wasn't received well from what I heard, so they went back on it.
It would make long range shots way less viable, which is probably most interesting thing about her.
In that case, wouldn't the best solution be to have the hatchet hitbox grow over distance? Closer hatchets require additional precision, longshots aren't punished.
-
Guess it couldn't hurt to add that feature. Though I'm pretty sure hatch escapes using keys only happen about once every million matches.
-
If you don't finish any generators until the end the killer will regress them, wasting tons of progress. It's far smarter to only complete gens that won't cause a 3-gen.
-
The cooldown is rather trivial compared to the main issue with these perks: you need to stay glued to another survivor. It's terribly inefficient for two survivors to constantly have to stick together. Unless the killer leaves you completely alone, and neither of you ever need to go for an unhook, you're gonna have to split up. And these effects are specifically meant for chase, when it's a terrible idea to allow the killer to chase two survivors at once. It's just an inherently flawed idea.
-
Killers are already handed free kills in the endgame, given that many anti-tunnel/camp effects are disabled during that time. Not to mention the fact that most survivors won't leave if they have a fair chance to save teammates, which often leads to additional kills. I just don't think the solution to gen-rushing is to give killers an even stronger endgame.
-
Would definitely be an improvement on its current state, which is pretty much nothing.
-
Issue is there's only so many ways they can make killers with high map mobility, and strong but counterable anti-loop. They're already running out of ideas for killers with healthy gameplay in general.
-
No way people are calling Deja Vu overpowered now. All it does is show a few gens to survivors, which are already easy to locate in most maps, and give them 5 seconds off a highlighted generator. This is one of the most honest, fair perks in the game.
Guess I shouldn't be surprised at this point, there is not a single thing in this game that won't receive complaints from someone.
-
People really think Background Player is too weak? It's a fantastic choice for pallet/flashlight saves and sabotaging. I could think of dozens and dozens of perks FAR more in need of buffs.

She is a literal priestess yet when the Greek collection comes rather than going for a gorgon or other similar thing they make a crappy fish skin with basically nothing on it if you consider that skin good then you're welcome to a laughable opinion but sure, the butterfly one was a rift reward and the ONLY one they have made that is even passable, now go look at ANY other killer newer ones included and look at the detail and effort in their skins, then go look at plague's store page, it's pathetic
For a while there it seemed they were unwilling to give her any skins that didn't fit with the ancient Babylonian theme, and I can imagine those sold pretty terribly since they're not very cool. Thus they didn't see the point of making skins for a killer that sell bad.
They're only now experimenting with more expanded themes for her, and I guess they haven't quite found their footing yet. Hopefully they'll improve.
-
Her Greek skin was great, as was her butterfly one a couple years back. Though I honestly can't tell what her cat one is supposed to be.
-
I like Chemical Trap as a general perk, and Lucky Star is great in my disappearing build with Lucky Break, Quick & Quiet and Inner Healing. Haven't felt very compelled to use Light-Footed yet, but it might be decent in a flashlight/pallet saving build.
-
Just buff it to 150% for now, see if it's okay.
-
Would absolutely love this. It'd allow for perk synergies across teammates, and prevent too much Kindred or Open Handed. Not to mention make Camaraderie actually exist in solo matches.
-
I wouldn't mind Autohaven if it weren't so dark. It's often hard for me to see the killer at a distance, or even in close proximity at loops. Turning TV to max brightness isn't very helpful.
Overall I don't mind most maps though. My favorites are generally the MacMillan ones, or Father Campbell's Chapel.
-
Probably Father Campbell's Chapel. The main building is gorgeous, and the fairgrounds provide really cool atmosphere! Kinda wish they were willing to spice up existing realms more often like this.
Luckily it's also not too bad from a gameplay perspective. Neither killer or survivor feel bad on it.
-
I try to mindgame, but I'm pretty awful at it. Many survivors I face make these double rock loops look like god tiles, meanwhile I go down about 5 seconds after dropping the pallet.
-
Totally agree. Love to get points for activating perks like these.

Inner Focus Is Haddies perk....... Inner Strength Is great love her.
Lmao I'm dumb. Yeah I can't think of a situation I'd ever run Inner Focus. Guess I figured you were some Inner Strength mega fan who wanted your favorite perk buffed just because, all on account of your icon.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
So is all of that being nerfed? I hope not but it would be cool if perks like inner focus got buffed to be useful! That big meta shift hurt the game more than it helped it in my opinion. I feel like if all the perks are viable and good people would play around with more builds.
How is Inner Strength/Healing not useful? It can give you up to five free heals in a match, and ignores healing debuffs like Sloppy Butcher. It's also fairly time efficient if you don't waste too much time hunting totems.
If there's any healing perk that needs a buff, it's Pharmacy. Only works while injured, usually have to actively hunt for the chest, 6 second unlock and 24 second self-heal. That'd be like Inner Healing only activating if cleansing while injured, and you have to stay in the locker for twice as long.

He's pretty miserable to play against. When at literally any loop he can just plop a guard down to force you away, and it's pretty common that you won't even have enough time to reach another loop. Really not a fan of these killers that just force downs on survivors with little counterplay.
-
No reason pink addon with bandages shouldn't work, maybe it's bugged or something. You might just have to run Streetwise or Built to Last for that extra juice.
-
I highly disagree with everything claiming showing hooks won't encourage tunneling. Sure, if someone wants to tunnel a survivor from the beginning it won't change anything for them. But if a killer who wasn't thinking about hooks before looks at the counter, and notices one survivor has more hooks than the others, I could definitely see many players deciding they want to go out of their way to hunt that survivor.
I say this as someone who generally goes for 8 hooks before sacrificing. I believe it would change a lot of killer players' mindsets, and overall negatively affect the experience of survivors with more hook states.
-
Difference is the killer gets to play the game no matter what. The killer strategies that are being limited effectively take all control away from the survivor player they're being used against, through no fault or mistake on the survivor's part.
-
You're not considering that survivor players still need to reach prestige 3 with every single survivor if they want all perks.
-
Seeing aura is cheating, but Deadlock delaying up to 2 minutes of gen time for free isn't?
-
Definitely not. She's already very powerful, and a complete nightmare for solo queue to deal with. I'd much rather face Blight or Spirit than Hag. Heck, even Skull Merchant would be preferable.
-
Slinger's fine, just make Xeno more fair instead.
-
Normally I'd roll my eyes and say you're being overdramatic, but I'm honestly having similar opinions myself lately. Killer tends to win in about 3/4 of matches, and even when I survive it doesn't feel that great. It's not even burnout, I've been taking frequent breaks. It's just a miserable, unrewarding experience for solo survivors.
-
Maybe it's to make room for more perks that you activate while repairing in the future?
-
Was shocked they didn't killswitch Blast Mine along with all the flashlights
-
Terrible idea unless they make the gen repair minigame more interesting. Being forced to stare at a machine for 90 seconds would somehow make repairing gens even more boring. Besides, survivors really don't need a nerf right now.
-
It takes survivors ages to set up turrets. The least it should do is slow Xeno down a bit, given that a good Xeno will never be knocked out of his power. That is unless the survivors wasted a bunch of time setting up two turrets next to each other.
-
This has to be bait. There is WAY more you can do to avoid going down against Wesker. Playing against Xeno is fat GG at literally any loop.
-
Would love them to bring it back as well, I really like that silly orange shirt
-
Survivors getting nerfed across the board while only a specific killer playstyle is knee-capped would be miserable. Solo queue is already a huge uphill battle in most scenarios, further hampering it would bury the mode.
-
I'm feeling more miserable in solo queue now than I've felt in a long time. There's just so much more that can go wrong for a survivor than the killer. Might have to face Nurse or Xeno so you have zero way to avoid going down, killer might camp or tunnel, teammates might ignore gens, people will kill themselves on hook. It feels rare at this point to have an enjoyable game as survivor...
-
It's a little bit silly how they introduced this achievement on Alien, who isn't likely to hit a survivor casually lugging around a turret.
-

I can confirm that I did not make achievement progress on Xbox when hitting a survivor who was holding a tape with Sadako. I am hoping it was a bug.
Have you checked again? Sometimes achievement progress fails to update immediately on Xbox. Going directly to the "All Achievements" page often shows the true progress for me.
-
Vittorio is the new David for me. Another buff, rugged dude with a sweet shirtless cosmetic.
-
I think they might want to prioritize the many characters who never got a tome of any kind.
-
Switch to flashlight last second. Unfortunately killers can make item-related challenges pretty miserable, usually with Franklin's.
-
Unfortunately it'd be a bad idea to change things like traps, as certain skins will most definitely be harder for survivors to see than others. Stuff like chainsaws, kanabo, and Victor should be allowed though.
-
Everything should be at least somewhat counterable without perks or items.
-
Honestly I wish Nemesis had a different power altogether, maybe his flamethrower or something. Getting free hits on survivors at loops with a limp noodle isn't very satisfying.

1 in 3?? You must play in SWF exclusively
My soloq matches get to endgame every 1 in 12 matches. Plus I have to not be on the hook when the exits get powered. Plus I have to beat other survivors to the exit gate switch. Plus I have to hope no one sees my aura and uses it to kite the killer to me before I have the gate 99'd or opened.
No wonder nobody uses Wake Up!
Realistically I'm not making it to endgame a third of the time either, I was just making a generous estimation assuming a player is competent. There are just way too many factors preventing you from being able to use Wake Up, for a very meager reward in the end.
I wish I wasn't awful at making it to endgame, I'd love to run an endgame with with Wake Up, No One Left Behind, Hope, and Adrenaline.
-
No idea why Ash isn't dominating this poll, he makes the most sense and would definitely be the most entertaining.
-
Sole Survivor doesn't need a nerf, but Wake Up! could definitely use a buff. Given that you'll probably only get value from it in 1/3 of matches, it could at least give a 50% buff to gate opening speed.
