To baby survivors more as per usual. Nothing new or shocking here.
Killers already have an immediate advantage by seeing items before the match even starts, yet preventing the killer from swapping their low MMR killer to their best is babying survivors?
-
So you won't just switch to Plague the moment you see 4 medkits
-
Run this perk or lose is never a good idea
-
Genuinely don't understand the complaint with backpacks one bit. Also Zarina's outfit is boring as usual. Haddie's is the best, followed by Mikaela.
-
Patch notes are almost never dropped a week before PTB, it's usually only a day before.

That's because they tend to drop the tomes and rifts alongside mid-chapters. Having the previous one extend all the way to the start of the next would give no downtime for breaks from the grind.
Personally I would prefer longer breaks between the end of one rift and the start of the next.
Isn't the break from the grind just whenever you complete the rift? I don't see how extending the availability of the rift would change how long you spend grinding.

Hoping they put out a new one soon. I've already finished this one. The extra BPs and such are nice.
New rifts always launch a day after the mid-chapter. The update will probably release on the 30th, so we'll likely see the next rift on the 31st.
-
Seems pretty unlikely to me. The show ended years ago, and there aren't really any characters or elements in the show that would appeal to anyone who hasn't seen it.
Just think about it, someone who hasn't seen Alien, Hellraiser, or Stranger Things have Xenomorph, Pinhead, and the Demogorgon to catch their attention with cool, iconic designs. While Supernatural has.. guy with yellow eyes, or a generic evil dog.
-
I don't know about a rocket launcher, but I do wish Nemesis got a more interesting ability that fits his identity as a powerful, deadly pursuer. Hitting survivors with a limp noodle doesn't feel all that great for a being as strong as Nemesis.
-
Not sure why they don't just keep it up until the mid-chapter. Not a big deal though, it was easy to finish this one with both the Halloween and Christmas events contributing progression.

So it brings us back to the question... why add it in the first place? If you were happy with his performance and happy with everything except insta-saw why add a mechanic we're now removing because, as we all could've told you before PTB, it was an awful idea...
I highly suspect overheat was added purely so addons would have more variables to alter. Because without overheat, all you can really change is charge, turn, and sprint speed.
-
I've experienced the same thing. My killer queue times are usually faster than survivor, even while the survivor bonus is at 100%. I suspect matchmaking just takes longer to place survivors into lobbies for whatever reason.
-
If you tried this with Friends 'til the End it won't work, as the obsession switches before they're sacrified. Nemesis is the best perk for this challenge.
-
While those are some fun ideas, I really don't think Slinger needs more to his kit. He has a fine, balanced ability that's fun and requires skill.
-
I'd pray I don't get any VR players in my lobby, they'd be at an enormous disadvantage.
-
I'd prefer survivors to not have unique attributes, as some would inevitably be the best, and others would be the worst. Imagine if you really like Ash Williams, but he just has a terrible ability. You'd also see a million of the same survivor that's regarded as the best, which is lame.
As nice as changing colors on outfits would be, it would get in the way of BHVR monetizing recolored outfits. I doubt they want to deny themselves that luxury.
-
Not a bad idea, fast pickups wouldn't break the game. Only make flashlight saves more difficult.
-
While an interesting change, I'm not sure we want to make the gap between good and bad Nurses even wider
-
It was fine when the trailer played before the "enter game" prompt, you skipped the developer information and trailer in one fell swoop. But yeah, please let us disable this after the first time.
-
It's better than the option for cross-progression not existing at all, strictly a good thing.
-
He was already nerfed, his turn after Slice & Dice is now capped at 90 degrees.
-
I don't wish it was meta, but I NEED them to revert Pharmacy's nerf. Loved using that for chest builds and unlocking archive challenges, now it's pretty much useless.
-
I like it best in sabo builds. Take a hit at hook, sabotage, then get hit again. That survivor is then guaranteed to escape. After that you only need one more protection hit, meaning you can guarantee the perk activates next time you pull this trick, and get away without even going down.
The build I like best is an okay toolbox with Mettle, Saboteur, Empathy, and Background Player. But you can swap in things like a medkit (preferably with styptic agent) or healing perks to help with taking hits, as well as Sprint Burst over Background if you want.
-
My only issue with hexes not currently being meta is that it's hard to progress my achievement to boon hexes. I'll have to wait until another hex becomes meta before I can attempt that.
-
It's a cool idea, but that effect is way too strong. Maybe it should only activate after being in the locker for 5 seconds or something.

I didn't say I wanted a Black cop specifically where are you reading this? I said I would rather him been an OC for more freedom in cosmetics and backstory.
You said you wanted a "black cop/detective", I don't know how else I'm supposed to take that. Besides, nothing's stopping them from creating a cop/detectective character. Though frankly I don't think there's much reason to, given that we already have a bunch of cop characters from Resident Evil.
-
Why do you want a black cop as an OC? Very oddly specific.
-
These sweaters have existed for years. Chucky has a sweater as well, and he's obviously not survivor-like or anything. It's just something fun they give to certain killers who could realistically wear an ugly sweater.
-
Kindred used to be stapled to my build. But after teammate's actions were displayed to all survivors, it hasn't felt nearly as necessary. When someone isn't on a gen, it's fair to assume that person is going for the rescue. Very few situations arise where a rescue isn't properly executed in my solo queue matches.
-
The difference is tunneling effectively disallows that survivor from playing the game. There's nothing survivors can do that makes the game basically unplayable for the killer.
-
Have hated Deadlock pretty much since it released. Blocking up to 2 minutes of generator time for doing absolutely nothing is ridiculous.

@BlightedTrapper Some returning holiday outfits for Dwight (Dwelf/Mr. Elf), Meg (End of Semester), and Huntress (Solstice Devotee) are all back in the store today, and they have a 30% discount on their auric cell price until the 4th of January I believe. The other outfits (Deck the Trials Collection and others!) should be returning on the 14th, not sure about discounts for those yet though. No shard discounts from what I see, unfortunately. :(
Thanks for telling me. Pretty disappointed to hear they're only 30% off though, that's barely anything off the regular price. It's gotta be at least 50% off to be tempting.
-
Is anything besides sweaters discounted for the winter sale? And if so, what's the percentage on the discounts?
-
No matter the killer, you always aim just above the torso
-
Chucky's kid is genderfluid, I doubt he has anything against drag queens

No it's not, they had a huge sale around Halloween a little while back
Yeah, a 30% off sale. They've never had 50% off everything, and probably never will, as nice as that'd be.
-
I'm a pretty big fan of that Hangman's Trick change, would make the perk more interesting and useful at deterring sabotages.
-
Dance With Me would definitely become meta with that haste buff, MFT all over again. It'd probably be okay without that.
Diversion buff is fine, it's a pretty inconsequential perk.
That Autodidact buff could be too strong depending on the increased skill check probability. If you ask me they should just remove the penalty, and give 10% progress per token up to 5 tokens.
The Scavenger buff is exactly how it was on the PTB, which is way too strong. That's up to 26 extra seconds saved on a gen just for hitting skill checks.
Plot Twist and Lucky Star are mostly fine.
Desperate Measures buff is the most busted thing of all. Have fun facing 56% faster repair speed.
-
They just need to let us see our teammates perks so we can properly coordinate. Wake Up should also increase gate opening speed by 50%, the current speed increase won't help at all in 99% of matches.
-
That'd be very nice in my sabo build, I'd be able to bring a medkit instead of a toolbox because Saboteur will inevitably be interrupted.
-
50% off everything is obviously too radical. But they should at least do discounts from 50-75% off on select outfits.
-
No reason you should have to kick two gens just to activate it.
-
It's masterful if your sole measurement is "did this killer get stronger?" From the survivor perspective he's going to be absolutely miserable to face, and he was already frustrating to deal with before.
-
I already figured this out a few months ago, but it's good to put out there for people who may still not know

This is great news. I guess the License Holders wanted more money, so the Devs had to go this way. I would have been fine with it for licensed Chapters to be honest, but for original ones it would be a big No for me.
I was only okay with the idea on half-chapters, given that the DLC price is the same as just buying the single character outright. It's purely an optional discount on an outfit at that point. But driving up the cost of the Alien chapter with a mediocre survivor skin was a big no-no from me. It's effectively a price hike on chapters.
-
There are usually Halloween discounts on the auric cell price every year. Though they haven't really been doing many sales lately, missing their usual discounts on summer or Greek Legends skins this time around. Hope they're not starting to phase them out, especially now that they're releasing far more cosmetics.
-
Thank you so much! The void realm sounds super cool, seems we'll finally have events that really shake up gameplay! Also glad to hear outfits are no longer bundled with DLC!
-
Lmao, perk is so weak the game doesn't even realize it's active
-
The problem with lowering your survivor MMR is it means you're getting in games with weaker survivors, not just weaker killers. And a match between a clueless killer and clueless survivors almost always ends in the killer's favor. Funnily enough it's probably easier to win as a survivor in higher MMRs, given that your teammates are far less likely to drag you down.
-
People will say absolutely anything to avoid confronting their lack of skill, huh? Look at any big killer streamer, they win more than 90% of their matches. Some like Scott Jund are just bored of playing killer due to how easy it is. Keep in mind you can always improve. You might need to improve your macro game, learning better awareness of everything going on in the map. Learning when to drop chase, improving your mindgames. Trust me, you'll enjoy the game more and find more ways to improve if you stop believing survivors have succeeded in their devious plot to neuter killers.
