Regardless of how long it's been a thing, it should be kept
It allows for good enough of counterplay and predictions and lets Spirit play around the sound to bait the survivor
its perfectly fine
-
A standard freddy game is as follows:
- Freddy finds survivor
- Survivor runs to pallet
- Freddy spams snares and holds W until he gets a hit
- Repeat all game
very, very fun gameplay
-
I don’t use them or other stupid things that the devs should’ve removed ages ago.
moris, iri heads, etc are things I don’t use as I know how unfun they are to face
-
No it shouldn’t be
also people in here comparing spine chill to object omegalul
-
Please direct me to where it says that either side should be the power role
-
OH BOYYYYYYY:
- Remove AutoAim err i mean aim dressing
- Map Seeds
- DS nerf
- Remove Bloodlust
- Change Slinger's free zoning through ADS spam
- Keep Spirit "bug"
- Proper game health support and testing
- Actual events not fueled by greed
- Working map generation, not getting either 0 or 100 pallets
- Actual addon/perk balance, their stance on OP things is that they are acceptable if they are not seen much. OP is OP is OP.
i could go on and on and on

Some hipocracy here, the game isn't balanced for swf. Yet you say you want a skillful and competitive game. So which is it?
So the solution is to remove it altogether? BHVR should be closing the gap between solos and swf, thats the first step to improving balance
-
“Don't allow survivors to play in a SWF and force people to try and play solo game against random ranks of killers.”
so prevent people from playing with their friends, effectively kill the survivor pop for a month
“I'm just wanting to play against at least a mix of 1 toxic, 1 casual, 1 beginner, and 1 chill player in the same team against a killer of any of the 4 categories.”
so an unbalanced match
“Encourage players to try and play the game for fun and not for competition since this game is too off balanced to ever be an Esport.”
your definition of fun is not the same as everyone, I personally would like to game to be more competitive and skillful
-
It should be like slingers
this message has been brought to you by a huntress main who refuses to use op stuff
-
ill just say this, nowadays when I see everyone is PC, i have higher expectations than seeing default cosmetic console players
-
Believe it or not but this game has the potential to be competitive, BHVR just refuses to support it
IE: no input for map seeds, proper spectate for killer, etc

People running away because they are bullied are victims just as the ones who cannot run away. Those people being excluded, because they are "too sensitive" or "not though enough" are the ones who deserve our sympathy, not the ones who dish out the punishment.
You are essentially saying, that it is okay to be mean in a video game, as you can just close it. Sure.. you cannot play it when it is closed, you are getting excluded, which in part is the intent of the one bullying you, but it somehow is the solution?
I am not sure where some people in this community (even some prominent ones) get their ideas about how cyber bullying works and its extents in general, but multiplayer games are just another interface where you are in touch with people. They can harm you just as much as they can do through other virtual channels and the pain they inflict can be just as real.
Saying: "its just a game" is only true as long as it is being played for fun and not used to harass or humiliate the other party. Then it starts to become more than a game. Yes, sure .. you can flee any channel through which you can be hurt. That does not make it right and any sensible person should be fighting tooth and nail against anything to which the answer is: maybe it is best you do not play this GAME.
bro you @‘d me over something from 6 months ago
im too lazy to even look at the context lmfao
-
I once bought a race change in wow, their rules for refunds are generally within 3 days or so.
i requested over a week later, explaining how I really disliked now being undead with issues relating to clipping and personal preference. the GM said that he was going to accept it despite policy stating he shouldn’t as my enjoyment was more valued to him than Blizzard losing a mere $20
this what proper customer support looks like
-
No, that’ll just get Corrupt nerfed somehow

Honorable mention to Pyramid Head for giving a middle finger to half of the survivor meta.
If by meta you mean the only forms of defense then yes

It’s because of entitlement.
There isn’t as much free stuff as previous events. I.e. directly earned from the Halloween event.
They’re ignoring every other free thing from rifts over the past 12 months.
this here, ladies and gents, is the attitude that let this *ahem* "event" happen in the first place
-
It’s a cash grab in a Halloween costume
not an event
-
At least COD's battlepass is usually worth it with high quality cosmetics all the way through
also the game works and is fun
-
am i the only one who remembers the hill bug? or stuns only stopping certain killers for 1 measly second?
they are slow to change things, its not a survivor or killer thing

But..."happen" is so dramatic. What this all boils down to is folks not liking the quantity/quality of event luxury items.
It's reasonable to be irritated...but to push the needle past irritated into borderline boycott and righteous indignation is supremely silly.
If you don't want it, don't like it, don't need it: don't buy it. That's all. If that happens enough, the profit incentivized business that we treat like billy locked in the basement will notice lol.
Tl;dr- chill bro, they're pixels.
Accepting minimal effort just let’s the devs get away with stuff like this
sorry that some of us aren’t content with being given garbage charms instead of actual event rewards like before

How is that a good thing to keep? It nullifies the purpose of her power.
If you think that then you must be a standing still andy
even a half decent spirit can play around it
-
I mean it’s a bug, though it’s otherwise a good thing to keep
prayer beads are garbage anyway

I don't get why so many players get bent out of shape when a business sells them more optional products for their already paid for product.
You aren't required to buy cosmetics to enjoy the game. We don't -need- extra mechanics to have the fun we already enjoy.
So we got a lackluster freebie this year? Big deal, lol. 2020 has had way worse problems than our collective BPS budget. 🤣
This is the attitude that lets stuff like this event happen
-
game health and proper support is needed, not this cash grab garbage they seem to keep pushing
but we all know what is more profitable
-
pls no set they are awful
just do what they did with the bunny outfit
-
Are you asking if it’s weird for people to try and have fun?
what
-
“I don't want to be as disappointed as last year”
got some bad news for ya

While I can sympathize with where you stand I really dislike when people take what I say out of context. I never said kiss their feet, I said adjust your attitude because it comes across as selfish and ungreatful. They aren't owed your support and you aren't owed their development time, time they spent making a cosmetic that they give to you for FREE.
What should I be grateful for exactly? I already bought the Feng outfit before the sale, got burned, and have nothing to do except login for my daily reward since this “event” is as deep as a puddle
BHVR made this “event,” decided it was good and pushed it, despite what they had as events in the past and knowing the response to last years Halloween event.
they are not deserving of pity points because they decided to bestow upon up lowly players with a few shards and BP
-
Even the marketing team was misled
-
Make it so it only works when both are looking at each other
killer can play around it similar to spine chill while keeping its main use
-
@HollowsGrief said:
While I do agree the "event" is poorly executed I feel like this needs to be said: complaining about being given FREE STUFF is a pretty entitled way to think and is really an extremely selfish mind set. Sure they gave more stuff before but they never had to give ANYTHING for free. That being said I am not saying that makes being greedy is okay either just that being upset about only getting one free thing instead of more free things is an extremely childish mind set. You are owed nothing, be grateful for the gift, if you get one at all.
They as a company are not owed players, they earn them
This entire event spits in the face of players, but yes, i should be kissing their feet for some table scraps

@CrustyCake said:
This isn't a triple A company and this isn't a triple A game. Not sure I understand why people keep comparing it to triple A company and games. They are great examples of what they should aim for, but BHVR's DBD player count and funds are not even close to the mentioned games.
I hate this defense so, so much.
DBD is came out in 2016 and they did a better event 2 years out
If you dont think they aren't swimming in cash from all the MTX's then im not sure what to tell you, they arent some tiny studio who just released their game
-
people have been saying this for awhile, but its fallen on deaf ears
-
1 pallet across the entire main section of the map
it unfortunately goes both ways instead of being fair for anyone

Because he knows the types of coding?
You cannot be trying to say that DBD isn't spaghetti code, its a well-known thing lmao
-
and hits continue to wrongfully hit me as survivor witht he killer being toxic in chat
but you dont see me shedding tears
-
only thing decent is the Nea shirt, rest is pretty bad

Yeah I don't get it either really. This particular blight event doesn't really excite me but, hey, it's just a free little thing they're doing in the game so why would I be mad about that? It's not like any of the stuff in the event is needed to play the game one way or another so who cares?
Aside from new killers, honestly the thing I like the most is the Rift journal entries and such. Getting little narrated bits of lore and occasional flash animations is kind of fun. 🙂 Yeah there are cosmetics in the Rift but honestly charms are kind of silly and as a killer you can't even see your skin outside of the menu so that's not a big deal either.
I've definitely gotten my money's worth and more out of this game personally, you'll never hear me gripe about the game being trash or whatever. Sure there are minor things I wouldn't mind seeing tweaked but on the whole it's a fun game with a ton of variety of killers and maps and possible loadouts. So I honestly don't get all the fuss about this event, it's definitely easy enough to ignore if you don't care about it.
Fun fact, the previous events were also free, as was the cosmetics at the time
also this isn’t even an event lol
-
So if I pour coffee on you but say sorry and give u a thin napkin, it’s okay?

And who are YOU ?
someone who understands that calling out greed is good
if this was a company like EA or Blizz, people would call it out, but because its a "small indie company" (its not) then it must be okay
-

Stop playing DBD if you aren't satisfied, nobody forces you to stay.
But stop complaining because you are useless to this community
calling out greed is good
being content with bare minimal work is what leads to "events" like this
You are the problem

They're working on it with the MMR system. The first release of the MMR system didn't go well, so they disabled it, so they could do more work on it.
Also I'm going to point out that they have a graphics team and the team that handles things like matchmaking. These are different teams of people and as such they can be working on graphics updates and improving matchmaking/gameplay at the same time.
thinking MMR will ever work in this game
oh no no no pepelaugh
-
but...4 survivors on 1 gen is good for killers
better than 4 people all around the map

dude if we could do more go for it I mean for what they have done they also bad word people over who buy the outfits before they got to be 9k I mean they still not getting any money for me.
I happy they did something was it enough no it was but they f up and right now not much they can do
but refund for tho who spent more for tho outfits be good but I know it still wont be enough right now most want blood which I don't blame them.
no one got control over this event other then the dev we didn't think they really do this but it over all we can do now hope they don't doing it again but knowing them they will we wont know till it happens.
excuse me for not being happy with them given some shards and BP in lieu of a non-event.
This isn't a new thing with them btw, between Sets, previous events etc. the money moves have always been a problem with this game
-
@SleepyWillo said:
They bought something for an agreed upon price.
Did those people expect the price to never change or go on sale?
Honestly I feel its what those people deserve for still supporting BHVR with this obvious cash grab.
The thing is, most games that pull moves like this DO allow for some form of refund as it is unreasonable to assume people should expect a price drop within 48 hours of something releasing.
WoW does this, even when its not a price drop, their CS often allows for refunds/exchanges very frequently if something happened. BHVR is just a clown fiesta.

I think we should be happy we got anything I just want to streamer charm thing fix not working for some ps4 x box switch players even tho some streamer trying to help with that not working I feel like some pc user getting more then 1 or 2 of this charm.
And this is the attitude that let this "event" happen in the first place
-
There is no scenario in which Self Care will beat out Inner Strength or a medkit
it is objectively an F tier perk
-
If people accept this minimal effort to appease players after putting out this cash grab in a Halloween costume, it will only serve to let them do it again
some BP and shards doesn’t make up for it and I’m surprised so many are eating it up
-
i mean, nice...?
doesn't really make up for a horror-esque game not having a halloween event
-
MY MAN CALLED WGLF OP
OH NO NO NO
