That's the only way, there isn't a visual notification or anything like that to tip you off... if their camera is stuck in the void than that's only shown to them and not you or the other Survivors...
Sometimes, the other Survivors can see their aura drop into the bottom of the map, so that sometimes tips the Survivors off that the Survivor that was hooked in the basement is now bugged.
But, sometimes that actually isn't a 100% confirmation either... I've had that happen to me in-game where I saw a Survivor get hooked into the basement and shoot straight under the map (Their aura), but than they just walked out of the basement and they were fine...
Basically your answer is...
Besides them not leaving the basement, running into walls, not moving to proc crows, or DCing right after... than no, there isn't a 100% confirmation on if they were bugged by being hooked in the basement.
So no to a solid confirmation, and maybe to subtle hints...

I saw some streamer who thought he is entitled to get spared because he "clearly had basement bug" and according to him the killer obviously knew...

I hook in basement cuz it's harder to save from there and those who rush saves can't get those instant saves there without getting punished.
I didn't even know there was a bug until like this morning.

I slug sometimes and I have some dc too. Thing is ,unlike OP , I don't feel entitled to have survivors stay and crawl for the rest of the game just so that I could get my e pin bigger with that 4k. I can't understand what's so painful in the last guy getting hatch lol. This is not CSGo or something.

bodyblocking is griefing because I have no tools to thwart it and it is frustrating since it denies me a hook by virtue of the killer being too kind and not just shoving them out of the way. It's an exploit at worst griefing at best. You don't like being face camped so why should I have to deal with bodyblocking? Oh who am I kidding you're obivously a survivor main.

If the killer was to those ranks before rank resets , then yeah it's fair.
But hey , if you wan't to say that a person's skill changes based on their rank somehow then I am wrong.

I think the point is that the match didn't make it possible to even get to a point where you can get enough points to get a pip, which is not the survivor's fault. And yes I agree that the survivor didn't have to work for that hatch and might not deserve the pip, but he doesn't deserve to deppipe either.
Well , survivors are still a team so if all the other 3 sucked or DC'd then why would OP expect to get a pip because of that?
Take a team vs team game like overwatch. Lets say all of your team are crap. DO you still get a safety draw/win because of that? No. You get a loss.
So , playing survivor is kinda similar , but you can stil end up getting safety pip or even a +1.
Not much you can do about that.
And anyway , any player who played long enough knows how easy it is to pip anyway even when you die. I don't think the devs have to make it even easier.

Even if the killer remembers you and targets you it's still not something they can get banned for.

Swf have it built in , so they won't care.
And the dev's idea about having it as a survivor base kit went into the trash.
As for me , the change doesn't really matter since there are way better perks , so I won't be using it unless there will be a challenge in the tome.

Maybe BHVR don't just straight ban because one person reported them.
Maybe you are too touchy and report people for them saying something that's not really offensive.

You prob never played against a scratched mirror Myers on the hospital / lab / the game maps. Walls block all of your view so awareness is not a thing you have there , but he can see through them.
And you can't really hear him breathing when you on a gen with how loud the gens are.

It's funny how they had no issue letting people buy the cosmetics way before the event was supposed to start. Money comes first i guess.
I don't really care since I didn't spend a penny on them and won't but it's looking really greedy.
BHVR , next time please just don't release EVENT cosmetics before the event itself , ok?

The only thing they should touch are the beads. She is strong without it already and is hard enough to avoid her even when you CAN hear the phasing. No need for her to be stealthy, it's too much.

Mid chapters don't come before it was 1.5 months since the last chapter.
Last chapter was 17th September. Do the math. The best we can expect is the end of October or beginning of November.

It was a lie.
Had way too many games where the killer was close or exactly the same rank as the lowest survivor rank and the highest survivor rank was like 10 ranks higher.

After lowering my resolution to a stretcehd 4:3 the skillchecks are smooth like a baby ass and are not too hard to hit.
