Toy sword on Twins should be base to make them a little stronger so there not forced to run the addon every time.
Myers needs at least Memorial flower base so his stalking is stronger
Pig needs a little addons to base kit like the straps and increased crouch speed like ghost face
Clown needs soda bottle base kit he should start with 5 bottles at base
Ghostface kind of got his cooldown addons base kit but itβs not enough he needs a shorter cooldown and better addons
Slinger needs reload addon base
Nemesis I would say Marvins blood should be base so itβs not required
Marvins blood base kit? #########

Blood Favor π
Blood favor doesnt stop the survivor from moving xD also its a totem if you didnt know, its not hard to find a totem in dbd. Usually they stay most of the time alive for around 1-2min which can maybe give you in that time here and there a kill, but other perks can give you way better advantages then that.
-
"i am unstoppable right now"
Gets looped at basicly every single tile since Legion is a M1 killer.

My suggestion is to use lights as check points so regression can't get less than 25/50/75% depending on number of lights
ye well I believe that 75% is way too much of a regression.

Well with healing that was more or less a joke idk why you'd ever want to 99 your healing, and I could explain why 99'ing a gen can be good, but that's off topic. My point was just that 99'ing isn't unique to just exit gates, and that it's a completely fair strategy. It's a matter of investing time and preparing an escape. It's simple foresight and a use of the time you have at the moment to save yourself time later. The end game collapse is there so that survivors are pressured to leave once the gates open.
As for it being an "easy escape" I'm not sure that's fair to say. The survivors had time to leave anyways if they 99'd the gate, but why apply pressure to your teammates with the collapse and give them a sudden time limit to get to the gates? If they are healthy or so far ahead of you that they can hit the switch, squeeze through the doors, and run out, then something happened to put them in that advantageous position in the first place.
And like other people have said, there is No Way Out and Remember Me to help stall the end game even further. A 99'd gate is certainly not a free escape. If you pop that exit gate your whole team (including the killer) now has however long to get out or kill everyone.
Consider as well that the collapse activates when you close the hatch on the last survivor, and if the doors aren't 99'd at least then they're probably dead, so it helps in that scenario too. It's just a benign, completely fair strategy. Survivors invested their time well, and should totally be rewarded for it.
That said, I do not oppose a small regression to 90% if that were to be implemented.
Ye you are also right, I guess it is something that can be arguered around with but I do understand your point. It is also a matter of different opinions around what is fun for some one and what not. I would understand if ppl would get upset having a "forced" timer on the end game.

Glad to see someone that knows Nemi's potential. He's one of my mains because he is very oppressive in chase and can really get hits that were otherwise unimaginable with a basic M1. Learning tentacle is a very very good idea rather than using Save, plus, relying on Save could make you rusty and cause more misses. The one thing Save is good at (Which is camping) could be achived with other killers as well, so there's really no point to using the perk
yup, however I miss Legion with save the best though, that was fun tbh. xD
Its funny to see how many survivors dont know or underestimate Nemesis still to the day, btw a little Nemi brother tip, I am testing since a while Coup de Grace on him and it is leggit good on him. Since you never really M1 with him, just occasionally, you can save up the stacks very easily and then do a huge Coup de grace punch at a nice tile or loop where you cant really whip and catch the survivor off guard with that mostly.
Had even some survivors DC cuz of that perk oof
-
I do enjoy Nemesis more than Pyramid cuz the tentacle has much more depth into it and feels much more smoother and fun to use. And the zombies are quiete handy and funny if you get a free hit or down.
-
@JND said:
I don't think Pyramid Head mains left him for Nemesis.
In my opinion Nemesis is weaker and his zombies are not nearly as good as the cages.
Nemesis is also easier than Pyramid Head with a more accessible mid-range attack since it is very fast.
Agree with the first 2 but not with the last one.
Nemesis tentacle requires by far more control and knowledge and muscle memory than Pyramid heads punishment.

Unless you're playing Billy or Demo STBFL is overrated compared to other perks you can run, I wanna address the killers besides Demo that are famous for their STBFL synergy.
Trapper: Trapper can get good use out of this perk, but you could use something like Agitation or something else to lock an area down, or just slowdown gens, it's a good choice on Trapper but imo it gets outclassed.
Doctor: This is an ok perk for Doc, I know Otz got his streak with this on Doctor but if you don't pair it with Discordance, it's not that good, this is also an ok perk with the Restraint class of addons but eh, there's other things that are better for Doctor, like Sloppy for instance, it stacks up with Madness in terms of wasted time meanwhile Save might shorten a chase.
Pig: If they see you going into crouch at a loop, they're gonna run away and do their best to force an M1 out of you.
Deathslinger: Due to his movement speed, he can't really afford to ignore someone all game unless you're cracked out of your mind.
Nemisis: This is especially one that I heavily disagree with. The tentacle is extremely good at pretty much any loop if you use it right and if you do nothing but M1 all game, you will suffer massively due to you not tiering up infection and not being able to get your hits sooner. At low loops, you are nearly as lethal as Huntress or Trickster and going for an M1 just for the pallet to get dropped is horrifically bad. Nemi's tentacle is underrated when it comes to being good with it because that 3rd health state doesn't matter, you're a quickdraw Pyramid Head that can and will get use out of your power at any point you have LoS at short range. If you replace Save with a good info perk like Lethal or Infectious, your snowball game will be way better than if you had Save.
Now I know you saw me mention Billy being on the same level as Demo for Save value and I know it looks crazy but I'll explain: When it comes to the best Billy builds, Bamboozle is a common ally of Billy's due to windows being his hard counter. Save is just a replacement option for Bamboozle so that when the M1 gets forced, you can get back onto them faster with a follow-up chainsaw to catch up.
I agree with Nemesis 100%. I dont get it what ppl see in save the best, the best thing you can do with it is to face camp a survivor and deny the unhook with more then 5 stacks. You mainly down and hit survivors with your tentacle since you can whip over 70% of the loops in dbd if you get the right angle which you should get if you know how to play him right.
You sacrifice basicly your tentacle ability to become a slightly better M1 Killer, gratulations, just go play demo then. You have no reason to not use your tentacle or try to replace it, it is a very effective power. Ppl who prefer to play with save the best can ofc do that and play a more M1 heavy Nemesis, which is however a waste and a shame to not use his power correctly.
I understand if ppl struggle to play Nemesis cuz the tentacle is rather hard to hit and the hitbox is quiete tricky, however this doesnt justify trying to go AROUND it by turning him into a M1 Killer. Unless you really enjoy playing a M1 Killer for some reason you can ofc go for it but I personally cannot understand the mindset of someone who plays a character to NOT use his features and abillities.
-
@Pulsar said:
Running Nemesis with his best add-on (Marvin's Blood) completely removes the downside you mentioned.
Thats not true. With save the best you still waste alot of time trying to build up save the best, yes maybe you will get some free downs with it but you can achiev the exact same results with many other perks for example Coup de Grace.
-
@galanonim25 said:

@Exult said:
In that case would anything that saved your progress have to be regressed automatically? 99'ing is a tactic and not an abuse of mechanics or some kind of exploit. If the gates worked like this...
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2582688#Comment_2582688
...which I'm not entirely opposed to, wouldn't it only make sense to do that to chests and generators as well? That is, if 99'ing can't happen to exit gates why would it happen to generators and chests? Or healing (which, why would you do that anyways except to get resilience value and heal last minute?)
I've never heard anyone complain about 99'd exit gates.
Idk what you mean with gens and healing, there is not real benefit to it? However 99 a gate is basicly a free escape in most situations if the survivors have enough distance or are full health or with someone to take the hit that just runs behind the injured survivor.
There are more then enough situations where this happens, this takes away alot of tension and interesting interaction. Once you have gates on 99 you dont feel unsave, everyone knows that they have basicly their escapes ensured unless they mess up really hard. The reason why survivors often take such high risks at the end game is BECAUSE it is so easy to make the escape.
Or lemme explain it in a different way. Me and my swf grps are personally haveing alot more fun when we have a very close game WITH the end game timer running and we are trying a desperate save on somone with potentialy more sacrifices but we still are not mad to die, we are happy since we tried to pull off a risky move with alot of tension and sweats while the timer is going.
And this 90% mechanic of me should provide this kind of gameplay. I dont want to have a easier kill in the endgame, I want a longer endgame, instead of a quick save with borrow and everyone makes it out without any effort or risks.
I wouldnt mind if the killer isnt supposed to grab survivors on gates aswell just to make it abit more save with the 99 stuff on gates.
-
I dont mind lerys, it is one of my favorite maps!
-
I also think that having gates beeing 99 is just way to dull with barely anything the killer can really do about. The argument with "just open the gate yourself" doesnt make sense cuz you are not gonna give up your entire pressure and momentum and open the gate, the survivors will just escape like that.
However having a constant regression would also be way too much. Keep in mind that we have some maps with rather dangerous gates like Lerys or Coldwind, Mac Millain, Autoheaven etc, all these rather smaller maps or indoor maps with very narrow gate entrances are very unfair from the survivor perspective in most situations.
I have also thought about something simiular, in my version the gates would regress to 90%, that means if you want to have a "99" gate then someone has to stay behind and keep it to 99 and the rest has to deal with the rescues, also a 90% isnt that much of a problem for most situations to deal with cuz survivors can take hits for each other.
Also that would give survivors more reasons to actually open the gate if they dont want to deal with that.

Second, we have the new Halloween Challenges with the Midnightgrove Rift. Third, on top of that, the outfits and associated charms.... for free ... 50-60% cheaper prices on the main game and DLC's.... up to 75% cheaper prices on selected outfits... free weekends to play.... everything for free and that is not mentioned ? ( it is pretended that the devs do nothing ? ) and still complain ?.... just because there is no new game mode ? and if it's not the game mode then you write: just something small to give us some new content even if it's limited." lol this is a cheek! Now seriously what do you think all those things are ? ( Halloween Rift for example ) .... as I said your opinion I respect but I in your place would be ashamed of such a post. I'm sorry, but I can not understand this
If you dont mind a new limited game mode then so be it, I dont mock you for that, I also cannot understand someone like you who doesnt mind playing the exact same game for years for my part. But everyone is built different

...How? DBD crossovers rarely go both ways, this one's just the other way around. I don't see how it's disappointing that a game has an event that DBD is promoting...
that dbd again didnt really tried something unique and fun for a big event such as Halloween.
-
@jesterkind said:
For Honor did a massive collab event with Dead By Daylight, and BHVR put out a charm specifically to promote and commemorate that event.
This crossover event did not go both ways. The charm was not "DBD's half" of the event. It's For Honor's crossover event, and DBD is promoting it.
It's not that BHVR didn't care and just lazily put out a charm for an event- there was no event from DBD's side.
@SacrilegeGG said:
The important thing to understand is that it's a For Honor event, not an event for both games (which is what everyone assumed from calling it a crossover). We just get a charm as a thanks.

T3 was never useless. Getting to tier 3 is a legit power spike which shouldnt be a thing on a killer especially when it takes them so long to get their tiers. Oni's is actually good because its 60 seconds of faster speed and insta down.
It was before the buff "nice" but not necessary, since the movement speed buff it is definatly a huge spike and powerfull.

dafuq T3 range is insane that would make T3 again useless.

Because they want to, which is the only reason anyone needs to play however they want as long as they don't break any rules.
That's it, it isn't any deeper than that. The vast majority of the time whenever people try to go deeper than that, it just heads into cringy player shaming territory or creepy assumptions about people's IRL personality and/or mental state based on how they play a video game.
Seems so, there is also something to keep in mind that dbd is one of the few games where you can play in vary different ways and mind sets.
Maybe its just my narrow way to not understand that side but I personally couldnt enjoy a game when I win literal min without any counterplay really to it.

Everything I said applies to both. They are going to bring their best stuff, and killers are going to bring their best stuff. If you don't and they do, you will drop in rank and they will rise, and you will end up playing with people more on your level.
So you determand the skill of someone by the amount of items and perks someone uses? Thats weird tbh
-
@illusion said:
Killers complaining about the perks survivors are using are just as bad as survivors complaining about killers using good perks. Of course they are going to use good perks. You brought perks that, if they had lost, they may have complained about. You need to assume that they will have those perks and learn to play around them. Builds aren't sweaty, players are. And if you get up into high enough ranks you will see more and more sweaty players. On the bright side, if you lose enough, and they win enough, they will pass you by and you will see more survivors around your skill level, and mindset.
I actually meant the items xD

They are both information perks?
Corrupt still shows you the approximate spawning area.
I feel corrupt just let's you set up better for the endgame by giving a 3 gen strategy while lethal is more to try to end the game earlier.
Corrupt has nothing to do with spawn points. It simply blocks the furthest gens away, however survivors dont necessarely spawn the furthest point away from you unless they use the cloth offering. Survivors can also spawn with you at the same corner of the map just a few meters next to you if you didnt know.
Corrupt is more like a "force survivors to move towards you" perk and kind of area control perk.

Fair enough. I can respect consistency even if I don't necessarily agree with the overall statement.
But to answer your overall theme - How can people play like this. The answer is simple - not everybody is wired the same way.
For me, it takes a real conscientious effort to NOT try. I'm hard-wired to always be giving it my all because I was raised with the mentality of "if you aren't playing to win, why keep score?". I've tried caving to the social pressure to "relax" in the past and it's only brought me greater frustration.
Honestly, it was freeing for me to just let go of the shackles and play how I want to. Personally, I find it baffling that people would want to FAFF about with strangers they have no guarantee will extend the same courtesy. It's one think when you go into a game with mates with the attitude that you're going to meme all over each other. But with strangers? You don't know what you're going to get, so you better have your dukes up and ready to fight.
For my part I also stopped taking this game seriously, but it still gets on my nerve if I want just to play a chilled game like you saw on that picture I wanted to try out coupe de grace as Nemi boy and took ruin undying to compensate the weaker perk in that case, also put in a party streamer trying to get my 1million for the new survivor. And bam I got a sweaty squad that bust my ass, ofc I know that would happen since I didnt went all out and played seriously, but it is still frustrating and sad to see that ppl still think they are the ######### if they beat you and rub it to your face. And also knowing that even if you would go all out you would never be able to beat them as they can do it with you.
