Eh, this atleast keeps 1 survivor busy.
Fair point. I just don't want the new feature to somehow become a boil over on RPD situation where it's abusable so easily

The threads about killer being unfun and weak is getting old. Killers are not leaving either. Right now survivors are much faster to get in matches than killers during the peak of the day.
There has been 6 years of constant and unrelenting survivor nerfs to the extent that experienced killers practically never lose now because the game is so broken in favor of killer.
If you are not winning, all that can really be said is to git gud. Stop crying to BHVR to make the game easy for you. Survivors are practically spawning in the dying state as we speak.
And lastly, if you think killer is hard, please play solo matches. You will experience the hardest, most unfair, and most impossible thing in any video game. Survivors are extremely disadvantaged and this is why the game is losing its momentum. It is definitely not because "killers are weak".
Solo survivor is so horrible to play as. I have to run DS cause farming exists and self care since people refuse to heal you.

So let me get it straight, you went in a fight against me with an assault rifle while I picked a wooden stick. I would have known that an assault rifle was possible, because weapons were allowed in the first place, then I decided to go with a stick. How are you possibly the toxic one for me making a decision I know is not gonna end up well for me?
As for when infinites were in the game, guess what else was in the game: Iri hatchets+infantry belt+1 hook Ebony Mori. There wasnt a single day where I didnt see a huntress run this, then proceed to proxy-camp. Was that not killers abusing something that was broken? Or Ruin+Undying(on release, not the current one) being spammed every single match. Undying was meant to give Hexes a second chance, not respawn hexes at full power. Was that not abusing something broken? Or Nurse with 5 blinks, increased recharge speed and Tinkerer, giving her 5 blinks and practically infinite blinks, allowing her to search the entire map within 20 seconds and downing survivors within 10 seconds on average(because how are you going to dodge 5 blinks?)
Not even talking about the amount of killers using Pain Resonance, Pop and Ruin together with Tinkerer. Or Blights using Alchemist Ring and Adrenaline Vial.
You see how all your complaints start breaking down when survivors have to consider facing that loadout? Again, Survivors do not know whether you pick a stick or an assault rifle. They simply have to come with an assault rifle incase their opponents come with an assault rifle, then you come with a stick and then cry that they picked an assault rifle and call them toxic for "daring" to assume you would pick an assault rifle, when 80% of their opponents pick the assault rifle.
Preach my friend. People focus so much on survivor these days that killer had some broken toolkits that were arguably worse to play with. Mori off 1st hook while camping not to mention the disgustingly killer sided hitboxes (some of which still exist to this day)

This is what really annoys me about DBD opinions. Killers get mad at people wanting to have fun with friends cause Solo Cue is miserable to play a lot of the time. You guys get so mad at meta when you use meta yourselves.

Honestly, most players are survivor mains, there are like 3.5k killers left, no wonder everyone is siding with survivors.
Will laugh my ass off when in a few months dbd is empty of killers.
Will come back here check you all crying. 😂
I mean, you're the only here crying about "SwF Op"

my swf friends and i did this a few times becaused we decided that for a whole night, we werent going to try very hard. 4x murky reagants, 4x jigsaw, 4x whatever and even so, we spent each match making sure the killer got at least 2 hooks. aside from that, i've never seen it happen on accident or in a way that totally swayed the game pre match.
most of the people complaining have terrible time management and expect to be babied because their favorite killer doesnt 4k every game, so obviously that means everything about the game (except for them and the way they play/killers they play is broken, duh
People need to learn that a lot of loved killers like Ghostface and even Legion despite the buffs aren't stacking up with the meta so they can't reliably 4k these days

surv perks affect the surv that brings the perk (a few of them all the survs), and killer perks affect all the survs.
Keys are totally trash now, so survs bring toolboxes or medkits. Nerf toolboxes and you’ll see medkits.
sorry, but you can’t nerf everything for survs
The funny part is toolboxes aren't even as strong compared to medkits and even flashlights. Toolboxes require specific set ups to be strong which is a testament to how they're not the strongest thing in game.
-
1. Map Offerings aren't the issue. It's the maps being unbalanced that's the problem. Those 2 things are comparing apples to oranges. Every map is unbalanced (except for Swamps And Shelter Woods being miserable for everyone).
2. Most survivor/killer perks are either weak, underpowered, or too niche to be used in all forms of play. You see meta survivor perks (and killer) because the other perks are weaker in comparison by a long shot. (Compare something like Aftercare to Borrowed Time and my point is easy to see)
3. Toolboxes aren't even that strong compared to medkits. Toolboxes require a survivor or multiple of them to waste 3 or 4 perks just to make them strong (the only reason toolboxes would be op is a swf setting/top MMR but I doubt every swf /top player would do this just to be boring.)
Survivor isn't close to being overpowered in dbd. Neither is killer. The second people realize no side is op is the moment we can actually focus on other issues instead of "KiLlEr Op" or "SuRvIvOr Op"
-
In my opinion, the 2 really poorly designed killers are Trickster and Clown. Both are anti loop killers with no map presence or gen patrol via ability, both have an ability that's so inconsistent (Trickster more inconsistent depending on tiles), and both encourage the more sweaty gameplay to reliably get kills

Why do you think it's called a "dead zone" ?
Then why are you getting mad a perk that only delays death for a few seconds in a Dead zone"?
-
I would want to have this in game, however I'm skeptical cause it could just be a thing where you just tap the gate and ignore regression kinda creating the same situation we have now

You should see what the hag can pull on that map as she is also quiet nasty on it too.

I actually love Midwich as survivor, unless it's a Nurse for obvious reasons.
Balanced Landing makes looping easier and more enjoyable imo
-
Call of Brine is a pretty good perk, but it's something I wouldn't put on just any killer. Because gen tapping exists, it would be smart to use this perk with a killer with movement abilities or decent map patrol

This ######### is so ######### annoying. It makes absolutly zero sence tha t a little midget can block a non human beeing that casually breaks pallets and wooden doors with zero effort. The Killer shpuld be able to push the survivor aside without even realising that a survivor is in his way. Why does the entity enhance there physical capabilities if there is no possibility to push survivors aside
Okay so what I'm hearing is you're basically salty for survivor trying to help each other as a team? And you're ignoring the amount of anti altruism perks to discourage this? Got it

That’s how the game is supposed to be played. You are not supposed to connect all loops and stay alive in a dead zone. You should die if you are a dead zone.
I swear you guys are so used to this OP perk that you have lost touch with balance.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2896068#Comment_2896068
The huge majority of killers would trade noed deleted for dead hard. Noed is not played that much at medium to high MMR. It’s only a noob stomper.
So survivors aren't allowed to try and survive in a dead zone? They're supposed to just not survive and die neglecting the role as a "Survivor"?
-
Nah cause I'm somehow the one person who finds out about Tinkerer in the most dangerous ways possible
-
I don't mind stealthy gameplay since I'm more chase oriented. However, it's annoying when you reach second stage or die on second stage because of the Dwight crouching behind a rock close by the hook

Everyone is asking for voice chat... I really don't understand why.
Sure, some people would use it as intended. Others would spam racist obscenities or just simply play troll "Benny Hill" music at max volume.
They just need "Doing gens" indicators and stuff so a Solo and SWF aren't running to a hook rescue at the same time. Simple.
I wanna troll people with Ayesha Erotica
-
All they really should look into is hook distribution. Some maps it's child's play to get to a scourage. Other maps, the hooks will be in Narnia (Another reason why Backwater Swamp is made for suffering in general)
-
I'm a bit more biased based on my solo cue experiences with these characters. A lot of Jake's are new or just painfully oblivious, M*g is close to being a M*kaela, and Dwights are less consistent in helping a team
-
In my opinion, it definitely could use a slight buff to make it more reliable but keep in mind it can also have the unintentional effect of getting to crazy of a buff (Boil Over on RPD). It should increase the chances of getting skill checks until you get max stacks then it will slightly decrease the odds

She can't. You don't have time to go around trapping totems unless they're very conveniently placed where you're already trapping. Am I missing something? Since when did picking Hag make you immune to boons/losing your hexes?
A 2% speed book isn't exactly going to hurt Hag when her power gives her easy map traversal. You aren't supposed to chase people with Hag. She's supposed to survey the area and trap areas of interest

Oh yeaaa,
Or when you main trapper in the early stages of dbd only to have games where survivors could perma sabo your traps. Making you a half ass m1 killer. Good times there lol.
Kids today just don't know how good they have it in comparison XD
Not knocking on you OP, but trust me, sabo is no where as bad as it use to be.
Oh no bro. You are bringing up old instant heals, insta gens, and other broken stuff. That's some PTSD for DBD veterans

You would. You're friends would simply be doing better if they ran an Exhaustion perk regardless of how good they loop. Most the time you ever don't see an Exhaustion perk is simply because they want to challenge themselves because it's already too easy or they're just meme'ing. If your intention is just to win you would always be running one.
That's actually wrong on BL in regards to some maps with zero use. There are some maps with very little use, but there are some spots on even the worst maps. No map has literally zero spots.
I have to disagree with this. Shelter Woods is the only place you cannot use BL except for basement but there isn't a use for that in chase.

People keep saying Dark Theory is trash, but then they haven't played as Hag against it, have they?
Hag is one of the few killers who can effectively trap totems from even being touched while pressing other areas in the map. I'm pretty sure she can handle Dark Theory.
