  • It does. You are not supposed to be at low(est) MMR when playing a first game with a Killer.

I'm going to enjoy the week or so of no sprint burst untill MfT disapears into the void of "OP" perks

    I would say the same.

I guess it will be used a lot, especially because Killers are hyping it up as an "OP"-Perk. And people will soon realize that Sprint Burst or Lithe are simply better and will go back to those Perks.

The only people who will use Made for this will be those who did not run Exhaustion Perks in the first place.

  • You are playing hin for at max 4 hours and 12 minutes right now. Obviously you will not be that good at this point. Give it more time.

Personally, I think it was obvious that it is a more demanding Killer when looking at PTB-gameplay.

Do we need to bring up COH? That perk when launched broke the game with insta heals. Also killers haven’t gotten any op perks in a bit last one I can think of COB over a year ago. Didn’t survivors get a bunch of buddy perks last chapter?

Didnt know that a Chapter from 2021 was released in the last 4 Chapters. BHVR is really slowing down with Chapters, man.

Subtle cheaters are going to have a field day with this perk I'm telling you.

I have read this multiple times, but I dont really get it. If they are cheating (aka being faster while not using the Perk) you will notice. And if they use the Perk, they are not cheating.

  • How would you nerf SWF?

And please dont tell me that you would give them an action speed debuff, this would be silly and you should know it.

  • Depends how the teammate was playing. If they were good and were let down by the other two just like I was, I will try to get them as long as the Killer is not camping. If they are camping, there is no point because then one of us would get slugged and it would be a guaranteed 4K.

If the teammate was not really helpful, I just let them die.

In general, I also have the feeling that the more decent teammates dont hang around for the full 2 minutes but just kill themselves on the Hook in a 2v1 because they know that it would be rather pointless to go on.

Use DS vs a Blight or Nurse, or anyone with a chase power really, and see how much it helps.

Given how many restrictions it has and how you REALLY have to tunnel to have it activate, they could legitimately buff it to 8 seconds and I still don't think it would be meta.

I would use it with a longer stun. Because DS back then at least discouraged people to tunnel. At least for a bit. It was a joke for the stronger Killers, but nowadays it is a joke for basically everyone.

    @Topic:

The thing why DS is needed is because it is Anti-Tunnel (even tho every Anti-Tunnel in the game is pretty bad) without Endurance. Currently the biggest problem with Anti-Tunnel is that everything resolves around endurance. A basic attack right after Unhooking removes:

    • Basekit Endurance
    • Potential BT
    • Potential OTR
    • Potential DH

If DS would actually be useful, it would create another layer which cannot be removed by just pressing M1 after an Unhook. And when it was still around, Killers were more hesistant with tunneling. Nowadays it is whatever, the Survivor will most likely not have DS and if they do, it is just 1,7 seconds of distance, which is around 7 meters. Barely anything.

  • Boons are rubbish. They are a failed concept. Aside from CoH in its OP-Stage (which was done to promote Mikaela, since it was a survivor-only paragraph) they were always bad. And I hope we dont get more Boon-Perks.

Even before the most recent nerf I think that Boons were already failed and even if CoH saw a lot of play, I think it was more beneficial to the Killer than anything else. Since Survivors are too ineffective and they set up their Boon over and over again instead of doing Gens, which just resulted in easier games for Killers. Even IF Survivors were able to heal because of CoH.

Nowadays, whenever I see someone setting up a Boon, I already know that there is nothing to expect from this person. Boons are the same as Self-Care at this point.

  • They did not say that they rework her. But that they look at her ability to 3-gen. So lets see what they do with her, in the end it will not be enough to buff her Chase-ability as long as the 3-gen ability is not nerfed heavily.

Personally, for me, they can just remove her. She is the first Killer where I said they should killswitch her and rework her and when done with that, offer a Refund-option for those who dont enjoy her anymore. I really dont understand how Skull Merchant went into QA like that and the testers said "Yeah, this is fine".

  • You have the cosmetics exclusive for some time AND way cheaper than in the store. Plus you get all ACs back if you complete the Rift, so you get at least 4 unique Outfits and a bunch of Recolors for free.

And completing the Rift is not hard anymore.

Let alone it was known from the beginning that Rift Cosmetics will emd up in the store.

  • Survivor Nea P67. I just like her Skins the most.

Killer, I dont really have a Main. All my Killers are P10-P12 with the exception of Hag, Knight and Skull Merchant (those are P9 and will never be higher). I mained all kinds of Killers over the years, but none of them after the Prestige-Change, otherwise some of them would be a lot higher (mainly Billy, Nurse, Doctor, Piggy, Demo and Nemesis)

  • Nah.

IMO if someone wants to honor Puppers, they should do it because they want to honor him. And not equip a Perk because it gives a Benefit because everyone would run this Perk, whether they liked Puppers or not.

This is why a Charm was a good idea by BHVR. People who supported him could wear it, people who did not know him or did not care did not use it.

The game is survivor sided if killers don't use stragedies. So killer getting kills by facecamping is just stragedy and he outplays survivor if he succeed getting 2K or more.

Are you wearing a funny hat?

Let alone that your post has nothing to do with my post.

I mean... it is not really tape is it ^^

While this is true, you probably wont use any method that can be detected by the game or EAC. Which is basically the same as tape.

And since, for some reason, it is allowed to play with Filters to make the game as ugly as possible for a slight advantage, not allowing a crosshair would be strange.

I would recommend to play without it tho.

  • To be fair, this guy has 2 Hooks at 1 Gen left. It is not like he is camping right at the start.

The bigger problem with camping is how effective it can be when done right away. Especially if you include Perks like Deadlock.

Not saying that Killers deserve Kills in Endgame (because they clearly dont, if they suck all game, they dont deserve to get a Kill in Endgame), but it is way more understandable that someone camps when there are all Gens done or only one left.

  • @Deathstroke said:

You should lose still mmr with one kill and if devs aim for 60% kill rate so 2K should still slightly decrease it or very least keep it same.

You still lose less than you are "supposed" to lose. If you get outclassed on a regular basis, this is the game telling you that you are not in the MMR-Regions you should be.

If you facecamp yourself to 1-2 Kills you might still lose MMR, but it will be less than you "should" lose.

  • As already said, when you play a Killer for the first time you will not start at the lowest MMR. You will start at the average of all your other Killers and after a few games the MMR will be calculated somewhat correctly. (At least this is how it is supposed to work)

If you would start at lowest MMR with a new Killer, two things would happen:

    • You would only get Baby Survivors and those will be destroyed. If your Killer is a regular 4.6-Killer you will not even need your power to destroy the Survivor Teams you will face. That you play a Killer for the first time does not mean that you forgot how the game works.
    • Queue times would be a mess when a new Killer is released. Since then every player of this Killer would be at the same (lowest) MMR. So imagine Thousands of Killer players queueing up at the same time with lowest MMR. You will probably have to wait for at least 10 minutes for each game, possibly even way more.

It makes totally sense that you dont start at lowest MMR with a new Killer.

Its not necessarily better players. Some maps are just busted or busted setups just spawn. Garden of joy main building is near infinite against m1 killers. And don't get me started on spawning shack window into cow tree into jungle gym window. Or mother's dwelling where it literally takes 30+ seconds just to walk from your spawnpoint to the gen the survivors probably spawned on.

But, its hard to say without OP posting videos for us to look at.

Yeah, but if it happens frequently and becomes the Norm you cannot blame Maps all the time.

I do not want to start another thread for a similar question but ... how good are survivor bots atm ? Did they receive any update since they were added , like can they use perks and randomize their strategies etc ?

If you were to rate them 1 to 10 (noob - pro swf) what would they be atm ?

You can give them Perks and Items.

From what I have seen so far (and I am not playing against Bots very often, almost never), I would rate them 3 out of 10.

  • Probably just play, try to improve or lower your MMR.

If it happens frequently that you get 4 Survivors which need Bloodlust 2 or Bloodlust 3 to catch, this probably means that they are way better than you.

So if all of them are that good, you might want to try to catch them (if there is really no weak-link), because you might improve. Or at the very least you will lose some MMR which you keep when you facecamp because this should usually end up in at least one Kill, probably even two.

yes 1 teachable that will be talked about as "op" but will never be used

As already said, the other two Survivor-only paragraphs had an OP-Perk each. Which is understandable since you need an incentive for people to buy the paragraph who are not completionists or fan of the character (in this case Nicolas Cage). This is different from Killer only-Paragraphs, since those provide actual gameplay.

And because of this and because there will be 1 OP-Perk, I really hope that the Killer Community can relax for once and not flood the Forums with Complaints once again. The Devs know that they are doing, they will create a Perk which is too strong, but it will be nerfed soon after. No need to flood the forum, no need for the usual tantrums. It will happen, even without the "valuable" feedback Killer players provide.

So they should just chill, let Survivors have an OP-Perk for a month and then it is back to usual.

Nurse isn't easy to use at all and Wraith is easy to use and not particularly strong.

What I meant was their effort compared to the results you get.

Nurse is not easy to learn, but once you have learned her (which does not take that long), you will have incredible results. Other Killers are way harder to use after learning them, but wont get the same results. This includes really strong Killers like Blight, Spirit or Wesker, but also strong Killers who are not at the top like Huntress or Billy.

When it comes to Wraith, he is probably the best Killer ouf ot the more simple ones. Not saying that he will get results similar to Nurse or Blight, but he is not really deep and is fairly strong for basically "Bing Bong Hit".

you literally called the trapper not waek

It makes no sense to prove something to such a baby surv

you would shout that the killers are op even if the killers were deprived of the ability to walk and m1

Nope, I did not. Trapper is one of the weakest Killers, but this is fine. He is a simple Killer, it is ok that a Killer like him is not as strong as e.g. Blight or Wesker. (The only outliers are Nurse and Wraith IMO, both too strong for how easy they are to use (relatively))

The rest of your post is nonsense as well.

Maybe... it is you who is the problem? And not the Killer you are playing?

firstly KR is not equal to winR

secondly, these statistics were taken a year ago immediately after the dh nerf, when the survivors had not yet learned how to use it and the killer had eroption cob and overch

Since then, survivors have received a lot of buffs and killers a lot of nerfs, and a year has passed.

    so stop doing sophistry

    Always the same nonsense.

If they would publish new data right now you would still see that all Killers have decent Killrates and are not performing really bad.

At some point the Killer Community needs to accept that Killer is not in a terrible spot right now and that every Killer (including Trapper) can win against the majority of Survivors.

I still wonder why they make this when the obvious solution is makin Cypress Mori basekit.

    This.

The reason why they make this is most likely because they want people to experience Mori-Animations. (I personally dont care about Moris at all. I watch them one time, think "huh. neat." and than I dont even pay attention anymore when I get morid)

Because since Moris are not OP anymore, almost nobody is using them. But they create those animations and want people to experience it, what I totally get. But it would be enough to make the Cypress Mori basekit and it does not need anything more.

All their work on the Finisher Mori (and all around it) is just a huge waste of time nobody asked for with a far easier solution for their intention.

Imagine having to not group together and play well or entering a match equipped to counter a play style one dislikes. Disgusting!

I mean, it wasnt "basekit unbreakable" to begin with. It was like 40 seconds to pick yourself up, which is quite a lot. As long as the Killer did not want to slug multiple Survivors, they should not have noticed it anyway.

And if the Finishing Mori is still coming as planned (or somewhat as planned), there needs to be something to counter slugging.

  • Yep. Imagine having to pick up Survivors. Horrible.

Weren't you one of the people primarily worried about passive movement speed increases getting to insane? Seems like thats slowly whats happening.

(Though tbf i have no problem with this perk on its own its just when mixxed with the proper team and perks it can make uncatchable survivors. This perk on its own is perfectly fine imo)

I am someone who said that you cannot mess around too much with Movement Speed.

However, I think the restrictions are just fine, especially because it cannot work with Exhaustion-Perks. It can also provide some more variety.

But it might be possible that they need to make sure that it cannot stack with Perks like Hope.

  • Yeah, I am also quite excited for it. Especially because they did not nerf the Perk (yet), so it might be still a decent alternative for Exhaustion-Perks.

I dont run any Exhaustion-Perk, so I am thinking about using Made for This. Last time I was excited about a Survivor-Perk was Reassurance, but this got nerfed into being unuseable unless you are in a 4 man-SWF, so I was not that optimistic regarding Made for This, but apparently Survivors are allowed to have a decent Perk for once.

(Even tho, could be entirely possible that I wont run it, but at least it got me interested)

  • 22k, bought the most recent Haddie-Skin a few days ago.

Usually I spent them on Skins, I buy Chapters with actual money. Except for the Skull-Merchant Chapter, because I really dont want to pay the inflated price because of the extra Survivor with 3 bad Perks. So I bought all 3 characters with Shards.

  • @Seraphor said:

What do you mean "all survivors have to escape"?

Killer MMR scales depend on how many survivors die/escape. A 2K is roughly neutral.

Survivor MMR is individual, if YOU escape, it goes up, if YOU die, it goes down.

While this is true, it is still stupid that you lose MMR when you die but the rest of your team escapes. Yesterday I was tunneled the whole game by a Doctor, I was the only one being hooked and dead after three Hooks, everyone else managed to escape. So I managed to occupy him for 5 Gens and still I am the one losing MMR, because apparently I am too bad at the game and holding M1 on a Gen would have been the more skillful play.

(Yes, I know that they changed it that you lose less MMR when your team is doing well overall, but I dont think that with a 3 man-escape the Survivor who died lose MMR at all...)

  • This should not be the case. This is a Multiplayer Game and not a Singlepalyer Game. Having the opportunity to play some games against Bots is fine, but this should not be the majority of times. So there is not really an incentive needed.

Also, what would players prevent from just using Bots themselves and go into Bot-games? Basically BP-Farming when they are away and spending those BPs when they play Public Games again.

  • It was clear that BBQ would not drop to 0% pickrate. However, on most Killers it was only used for the extra BPs.

A Blight or Billy might still use BBQ because it works with their power. A Trapper or Hag wont use it anymore.

To be honest? Probably just bad matches before they met you. I know when I get hit with three or more bad matches I will turn into the biggest *** sometimes.

Why is it always that if Killers behave like ######### that someone comes up with an explanation that it must have been the fault of the Survivors before?

Like, Killers are the pure souls of this game, it is not possible that one of them is acting like this on their own. Meanwhile, Survivors are evil.

  • @killeriseasy said:

Yeah but in an event that a hook is sabotaged and the killer makes a mistake the you should be able to wiggle off. Wiggle perks rarely work as well

Another thing which was not mentioned is that wiggling also prevents the Killer from going to any Hook they like. They have to choose some Hook which is nearby. Otherwise you would always end up in the Basement.

When it comes to Wiggle Perks - they have to be weak. Hooking is a very basic game mechanic, it would be really bad if wiggle Perks would be so strong that hooking becomes rare.

  • I love Ghostface, he just sounds like he is tired of that #########.

Not a sound, but I also really like how Dredge acts like a snail when stunned.

  • If you want the pressure of EGC, open the Gate yourself. The topic of 99ing gates came up so often and the discussion is always the same. On top of that the Devs already confirmed that they thought about it, but decided against it.

  • Pretty killer-sided if you dont let yourself get looped around the Main Building. Best is to ignore it entirely, if the Survivors are doing the Gen in the Saloon, they can do it.

  • Balanced in the sense of neither too strong nor too weak:

    Survivor:

Bond, Prove Thyself, Quick&Quiet, Adrenaline, Empathy, Object of Obsession, Open-Handed, Borrowed Time, Lithe, Alert, Dead Hard, WGLF, Wake Up, Vigil, Stake Out, Detectives Hunch, Windows of Opportunity, Deliverance, Distortion, Inner Strength/Inner Healing, Fixated/Self-Aware, Off the Record, For the People, Flash Bang, Made for this, We Will Make It, Kindred, Hope, Lightweight, Resilience

    Killer:

Brutal Strength, Agitation, Enduring, Tinkerer, A Nurses Calling, STBFL, Devour Hope, Monitor&Abuse, Blood Warden, Make your Choice, PGTW (after the Buff), Hex: Haunted Ground, Discordance, Corrupt Intervention, Infectious Fright, Thrilling Tremors, Surge/Jolt, Mindbreaker/Fearmonger, Hex: Retribution, Hex: Undying, Hex: Blood Favor, Starstruck, No Way Out, Lethal Pursuer, Scourge Hook: Gift of Pain, Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance, Scourge Hook: Floods of Rage, Dissolution, Nowhere to Hide, Genetic Limits, Bitter Murmur, Whispers

For Killer Perks, obviously in a way that they are actually used with a Killer who benefits from it and in combination with other Perks. E.g. Infectious Fright is good on Oni, but not TOO good, but basically useless on Hag.

In general I like Perks which award the Killer for spreading Hooks, e.g. No Way Out is great. I wish Grim Embrace would also be great, but not with the current effect.

  • Personally I think we have enough maps. Especially with the feature that you cannot get on the same Map twice in a row, you will have a good variety of Maps to play on so that every play-session feels different.

Also, if they would add more Maps to older Realms, this would mean no new Realms will be created. So Killers will come without their own Map. And the last time this happened (with Blight, Twins and Trickster), players were not happy either and wanted Maps for all of them.

  • Dont know about dodging.

However, there is currently an Archive-Challenge, this might result in more Flashlights in general.

But overall, yeah, Flashlights are still the weakest Item and help the Killer a lot. But I dont mind Survivors trying. The only two times I really get upset are:

    • Survivors trying to use a Flashlight instead of the Pallet I am under.
    • Survivors trying to CJ-Tech.

Seriously, I hate CJ-Techs. They might work in some Youtube-Videos because the Uploader did 50 games for their two successful attempts, but I have not seen a CJ-Tech work on a Killer and neither did it work on me when playing Killer.

Yesterday I lost a game because of it - the Survivor in question managed to go down where two Survivors were already slugged, because they tried to CJ-Tech the Killer. Said Killer had all the time in the world to get me as the last person.

(However, as Killer I love CJ-Tech attempts. Especially when some really bright Survivor tries it two times at the same Pallet while first getting injured and then getting grabbed...)

All the nana nana boo boo stuff is pretty lame.

There should be a big BP bonus available once End Game Collapse has started, a bonus you get less of depending on how much time is left.

    Nah, not really.

This would discourage Survivors to go for Endgame-Saves. If you get more Bonus if you just leave, someone who got hooked might not be able to get out. And the Killer will also not really have a chance to get more Kills than the one they are camping.

I can understand the intention when everyone is at the Exit Gates, but I think it is totally fine for the Killer to just force out the Survivors. And if someone is really that sensitive from a bit of crouch-spamming, that is their problem.

But if there is an actual reason to stay around, it should not be punished.

  • @NotAnotherDoctor said:

This post just helped me come to the realisation that survivors complain about slugging but stand at the exit gates for two minutes.

Hypocrisy at its finest, now that I realise it

Difference is the Killer can force the Survivors out. A slugged Survivor has no chance of speeding up the process (if they dont have Unbreakable).

  • It wont really change much. The Survivor will still be on that Hook and if the Killer needs to be a bit away, they will still be back quite fast. It will allow an Unhook, but the Survivor will still be tunneled since there is still no real Anti-Tunnel mechanic in this game (aka something which does not resolve around Endurance).

It is not like the Survivor will be unhooked, fully healed and teleported to the next Gen or Exit Gate. They will still be there, the Killer will just have to leave a little bit of distance.

  • Still no "Genrushing"-Build at all. I mean, for Forum-Killers probably. But objectively? Nah.

that was without PERKS , perks exist mah guy , just resilience by itself reduces that number by a considerable amount , you are telling me that survivors do not run prove thyself + resilience pretty often this days?.....or even back them?....

also I literally mentioned those 2 gen repair speed perks for a reason when talking about the 8 seconds extra to a gen.

and the only reason why the game were lasting more and people were dying more often was because people were refusing to change loadouts and they were always giving up like they do this day still , thats just Solo Q right there.

I remenber playing a lot during that time i can assure the only reason why i was loosing against thana players was because teammates were terrible at knowing when to repair than messing around doing nothing and giving the killer free stacks of thana by taking hits ALSO broken medkits heals were a thing back them but nah lets ignore that right , survivors cant adapt 🤔

if you think the perk currently is viable on legion ...bruhh dude just 1 guy needs to always heal in the entire team to avoid the slowdown (6% on 3 people injured is just terrible) unlike plague which survivor are forced to stay injured or giving her range attack + the perks doesnt help you to track or anything is just lame slowdown which can be replaced by a chase / aura / another better slowdown perk.

Its funny that you start your post with "that was without PERKS" (only real with capslock) and then pretend that the Killer only ran Thana and no other Slowdown-Perk.

Gens should not take up to 3 minutes when you stack Slowdown. This was one of the reasons Thana was nerfed. Not effective, as already stated, but justified.

Just because the exit gates are powered doesn't mean survivors are garaunteed to escape. And it doesn't mean the killer failed either. They only fail once you escape through the gate. Until then they ran 3 perks while all the gens were up. It's fine where it's at

What I mean is, a Killer who got 0 Hooks before all Gens are done and one who got 7 Hooks before all Gens are done get the same benefit from NOED. However, it should be a higher benefit for the one who got 7 Hooks and the one with 0 Hooks should not get a benefit at all.

This would also weaken camping - it is impossible to complete 5 Gens and do 5 Totems while a Survivor is camped. However, if NOED would not be massive handholding for campers and bad players, a camping Killer would get little to none value out of NOED. But a Killer who played well, but just not well enough would get way more value.

(OhTofu once made an idea I really liked, which would remove the Hex-Status from NOED and give a Token for each Hook the Killer gets. Each Token grants 0,5% Movement Speed and after some amount of Tokens also an Instadown (both after all Gens are done). This would reward Killers, but not those who played badly)
