Is there a graphics update tomorrow as well?
Yes, for what was updated in the PTB.

Erm. Nurse? She changes how chases work.
EDIT. So basically a round-based PvP. Personally, I am not a big fan of Survivors being able to fight back in an active way.
-
" (who is almost always very low ping)."
No, not at all. Killers playing with high Ping (or even VPNs) are the reason, why Hit Validation will be implemented (currently disabled because of some problems with Killers like Huntress). If the Killer has a high Ping, it benefits them. If the Survivor has a high Ping, they usually have a disadvantage.
And personally, you should not play with players from far away. If you get red Ping, it means it is over 250 (I think), which is huge. You should not expect that the game is running smoothly at this point.
They decided to give one side the priority, this is the Killers side. But Hit Validation should filter out the most stupid Hits because of Killers with high Ping, so it is overall a good thing IMO. In the end, it is up to you if you decide if either you or your friend have a high Ping, but the Survivors who are put against a high Ping-Killer cannot decide.

In my opinion this perk should last the entire match, not reset once you are hooked. That downside makes it a weaker version of other perks and honestly for no real reason.
Yeah, because all of the preparation gets removed when you are hooked, Aftercare cannot really be a solid alternative to Bond.
I made an idea a few months ago:
When hooked you lose the Aura Read to the Survivor who is furthest away. And for the Tiers: Tier 1, lost Aura Read to all 3 Survivors, Tier 2 lost Aura Read to the 2 furthest Survivors, Tier 3 lost Aura Read to the furthest Survivor.
This would mean that the effect is not gone after getting hooked, but since it is the furthest Survivor, you would not gain it instantly back.

If you have 4 active DS then you are a god and it should not matter if anyone uses it.

Because if I go for someone else, they will use unbreakable.
And I can't counter unbreakable because of DS.
And if I go for someone else, not only can they just use DS once I down them again, but there is no guarantee that unbreakable will be used in this scenario.
Nah, if you would have gone for someone else, they would not be on the ground to either get picked up or use Unbreakable. You would have another Survivor who you can hook without any problems.

For you maybe. Some people are just competetive and want to win regardles of what it is.
Then DBD is the wrong game for you. I would suggest playing a game with less RNG if you want to "win regardless of what it is".

Lol yes, i agree. But you have to buy his addons precisely, and most of them are "uncommon" or "rare", which means that if you don't have any more of them you become useless again.. hello BP 🤑
Not really. The most important Add Ons are Bags, and there is a brown Bag. You can play Trapper with cheap Add Ons like the brown Bag and the brown Setting Speed and those change A LOT. Because Trapper is the prime example of Add On dependant.
Personally, I almost always use Tar Bottles and a Bag, and it also works against SWFs. But surely not on a consistent basis.
For Trapper, you should watch TheEntityLeftHand, amazing Trapper Main on Twitch (and enjoyable to watch).
-
There is no counterplay. Same with Leatherface standing in front of a Hook.
You just have to push out Gens, this is the only thing you can do. Dont gift a camping Killer any more Kills. Sucks for that person on the Hook, but this is the only thing that can be done. Accept that the Killer will get a 1K at least (probably 2K, due to NOED).
And if you are the person on the Hook, dont ######### so that your teammates can do Gens.
And regarding Survivors who crouch near the Hook: Do Gens. The Killer will not go away. If he is camping for 1 1/2 minutes he will not go away for the last 30 seconds...

You dont want games to be political. Especially not with certain German Leaders who would attract a community you dont want in any game.

Well, unfortuantely they are taken seriously and it's not my choice to make that decison as a $15.000 prize pool tourney exists. And your point about it being 1% is irrelavant. Am I not allowed to talk about the 1%?
You can. But ignoring the other 99% of the game does not make sense at all.
Of course you can pick that one game that proves your point, but again - does not really make sense.
Balancing around the Top 1% would not work. Or would you also be fine to balance around the Top 1% Killers? Because balancing around Top 1% Survivors but Rank 10 Killers (yes, I have seen this on this forum) is not really a good idea.

Did you read the title? It says 'AT TOP LEVEL PLAY'
Top Level play is 1% of all games played on DBD. Around something like that.
If you are talking about tournaments - tournaments can be a fun thing, but should not be taken seriously since DBD is a party game.
-
Are we now seriously applying a Tournament game to the standard DBD game?

Seeing as behavior cannot stop 3rd party coms cheating (and it is cheating to use 3rd party programs to give unfair advantage with coms not designed for or balanced into the game) rather than just letting it slide they should balance the game as if everyone is using this exploit.
It is not cheating. Only because you lost, does not mean that they were SWF or even if they were SWF, that you lost against a cheating team.
BHVR have said that using Voice Comms is not cheating, and they even offer the possibility to use Voice Comms on their official Discord. So calling it cheating is as wrong as it can be.
-
"Wouldn't they make more money from separate pieces?"
Yes, they would.
Personally, I got the Nea-Cosmetic, and I will also get other Sets, if I like them. In general, I like Sets, since they give the possibility to create Cosmetics which were not possible before because they would create clipping issues.
-
As Survivor:
When I pip OR when I escape OR when the other 3 Survivors escaped.
As Killer:
When I pip or get at least a 3K.

Spirit: hits after phase -> no fatigue (m1)
Wraith: hits after uncloak -> no fatigue (m1)
Deathslinger: hits speared surv -> no fatigue (m1) - surv breaks chain -> fatigue (not m1)
Legion: hits in frenzy -> fatigue after ending frenzy (not m1)
Oni: hits in blood fury -> fatigue after ending blood fury (not m1)
Blight: hits in rush -> fatigue (not m1)
Nurse: hits after blink -> fatigue (M1)?????????
Nurse has Fatique while the other Killers, who use their M1 have a weapon-swipe animation. Its not like the other Killers have "nothing".
-
As said, they were talking about Prestige Rewards during the 4th Anniversary.
But I would not have too high hopes for it. Could be a charm, in the end, which indicates the Prestige, so that players can see that you are prestiged while not using the Cosmetics.

Funny how that "LOL" is probably the most meaningful contribution you've written.
And for some reason you keep missing the point over and over and over. Survivors are allowed to have synergy, while killers have cooldowns, special requirements and basically every resource available so that none of their perks synergise.
Don't worry tho you really got your point across ending your statement with a bang, cause if your opinion is all "######### killers playstyle" then I'm sure most people won't miss your incredibly biased opinion around here.
I play both sides. And sorry, but "LOL" is completely correct for the statement "Killers have to play perfectly and Survivors can make dozens of mistakes". Because tthose go hand in hand with "Survivors are Potatoes in Red Ranks"...Yeah, what of those two statements now?
I am Rank 1 as Killer and I play nowhere near perfectly, and still manage to win most of my games. And if I can do that, the majority of Killer Mains should be able to do that.
But yeah, I know, Killer is very hard, blabla. Both sides are easy to play.
"And for some reason you keep missing the point over and over and over. Survivors are allowed to have synergy, while killers have cooldowns, special requirements and basically every resource available so that none of their perks synergise."
Killers also have synergies? I mean, look at the stacking of all the Slowdown Perks, as an example.
And Cooldowns - there is no Killer ability with Cooldown which does not justify it. MAYBE Clown, because he is so weak, but even Clown with unlimited Bottles might be too much. Besides that, comparing anything what Survivors have with Killer abilities is not really possible, IMO.
Like I said before, I play both sides and I am also not happy to see such an unsafe Unhook which results in an immunity-situation. But I would call this quite niche, because, as I said, you dont know how many tries were before this particular game.
And I am always against players "abusing" certain Perks (even tho, using DS and Unbreakable together would not be abuse, even if some Killers say it...), because those will eventually ruin those Perks for players who use them on a normal basis.
-
You can be sure that the reason, why Jason is not in the game yet is NOT because the Devs dont want him.
-
SWF-Topics.
Yes, there are some strong SWFs, but the number of those is very, very low. And the existence of them is used as an excuse for losing, basically all the time.
And SWF will not go anywhere, so there is no point in discussing.

There's thousands of hours of footage of boosted rank 1 Spirits getting no hooks, genrushed and ran around to death but people still cry about her.
It's not the situational aspect of the build it's the fact that the hypocrisy is real. This build exists and in those scenarios is uncounterable. It's just not a problem because survivors are allowed to be strong and synergize their builds freely. Can you imagine if survivor perks got the same amount of restrictions as killer perks?
"After repairing the last generator, if it's on the South side of the map, Adrenaline activates."
"After getting hit by a basic attack while falling, press the active ability button to gain a short burst of speed."
Killers are forced to respect survivor builds (DS, DH, etc), run certain perks JUST to be effective, and play as perfectly as possible to have a chance vs decent survivors, while survivors are allowed to not just mess up but get rewarded for playing poorly. A save that risky should not equal a free escape.
"Killers are forced to respect survivor builds (DS, DH, etc), run certain perks JUST to be effective, and play as perfectly as possible to have a chance vs decent survivors, while survivors are allowed to not just mess up but get rewarded for playing poorly. A save that risky should not equal a free escape."
LOL.
Regarding the other stuff you wrote:
Well, it is the synergy. You cannot really do anything against synergy, except nerfing Perks, which are fine on their own. And yes, I also consider UB + DS fine, because ######### Killers playstyle.
But it is whatever, I am slowly giving up on this forum. Like I said, you will be praised here for your Thread which is basically only about "whataboutism".
-
Well, this is a complete Perk Build dedicated to it and it only works if he gets Deliverance to work (like that, at least) or if he does not use up his Unbreakable or DS before Endgame.
Let alone that there might have been more than enough matches were it did not work, which we dont see.
But dont worry, you will get Upvotes en masse on this forum.
-
No. If you want to use a Perk against slugging, use Unbreakable. Slugging is a Counter to DS, so if you want to avoid this, dedicate another Perk Slot to it.
-
I highly doubt that you got 15 games in a row where someone DCed to give the other person the Hatch.

Mori are not that commun overall i have seen more key then mori but at the the same time you have 4x time more chance to see a key and dont forget survivor can find key in chest.
Key and mori dont have the same power lvl if survivor hide and do gen killer cant mori them because they wont get hook worst case scenario the 3 gen themself they send a survivor to the killer to be the sacrificial lamb and they just hatch escape ruinning the killer last strat
I mean if you are really, really bad as Killer, you wont get to use your Mori, this is correct (same for Keys). But I doubt that this should have any relevance.
And well, not common... Just do 20 Killer Bloodwebs and 20 Survivor Bloodwebs and tell me how many Moris you have seen and how many Keys.
@ausanimal said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1598794#Comment_1598794
The only change moris need is that you need to hook all 4 survivors before you can use it, it stops killers using a mori after first hook like they do now because the other 3 need to be hooked so all they can do is re hook that survivor again, if they can't hook each survivor once then they cant use a mori. The other 2 area fine just make the green on the same you have to hook all 4 survivors and the yellow one is fine as it is.
The yellow Mori can be Basekit. I would not say that the green Mori is fine, since removing 25% of the enemy team early is also an easy win for the Killer.
But yeah, hooking every Survivor once before starting to Mori would be some way to balance it. Personally, I would not have any problem if Moris would be completely destroyed, but Devs favor the animations way too much.

Besides that, Moris are way stronger and way more common.

Man, must be one of those SWFs. You simply cannot beat them.
Ah well, fun that they are messing around.

So you are defending Moris by using whataboutism? Noice.

This is honestly my only problem with his power. I think the rest of his design is very well done. The fact that faking out the projectile is stronger than the projectile itself. Same with Deathslinger is some situations. Very weird. You don't even have to commit to dropping the sword for the slight slowdown, just clap and drop it.
Exactly. You cannot really do anything about it, because even if he is using his M2 to create a trail, he is still at 4,4 m/s, meaning he is still way faster than a Survivor. And when you come to a Pallet or a Window, you either have to drop/vault it, meaning he can get you in the animation lock, or you have to fake it, which gives him the ability to use the M1.
Using his power outside of animation locks is very risky, if he does not hit, he just as a really long Cooldown. And this is probably my biggest problem with him as well (after they took care of the Camping/Tunneling problem or at least lowered it).

The right set of Toolboxes can get a gen done in 27 seconds, they can make finishing a generator thats nearly compete so much easier.
The great skill check nerf. Was a 1 or 2% nerf. Honestly Im not noticing any difference
And its prove thyself makes the efficency completely obsolete, seriously this perk is so underrated.
The map changes are nice. But concidering suruviors spawn right on top of generators regardless of how the map is. It doesn't solve the poor early game killers have forced upon them
"The right set of Toolboxes can get a gen done in 27 seconds, they can make finishing a generator thats nearly compete so much easier."
Are you serious? What does one Gen matter? Old Commodious Toolbox was able to speed up the Gen Speed for at least two full Generators. You cannot compare the new Toolboxes and Add Ons with the old ones, they are nowhere near as strong. The nerf was significant.
"The great skill check nerf. Was a 1 or 2% nerf. Honestly Im not noticing any difference"
It was the easiest nerf that could be done to Great Skill Checks.
"And its prove thyself makes the efficency completely obsolete, seriously this perk is so underrated."
Prove Thyself is a bad Perk. Splitting up and doing multiple Generators is always better. PT is only really used for the extra BPs.
"The map changes are nice. But concidering suruviors spawn right on top of generators regardless of how the map is. It doesn't solve the poor early game killers have forced upon them"
Shorter Chases = better Gen Defense.
But once again, this would mean that the Killer is actually competent to get people. And players who stack 3 or even 4 Slowdown Perks are usually not that competent.

But yeah. "never did anything". Sorry that you as Killer have to be responsible that Gens are not being done and not some Perk.
-
It is a Healing-Action. And Botany Knowledge affects all Healing Actions.

While Killers have it better than Survivors when it comes to Perks (more Perk usage overall for different Killers since they dont play the same as Survivors do), yes, there are some Perks which are used in every Build. This is, because also on Killers Side, a lot of Perks are just garbage. Why would you ever want to give up something like Corrupt Intervention over Cruel Limits? Just as an example.
Even tho, I kinda see it problematic if every Build (regardless of the Killer in play) starts with Corrupt, PGTW, BBQ and maybe adds Sloppy Butcher to it. 3 Slowdown Perks and massive BPs. Yay, fun and unique, I guess. And 100% a Build which fits the Killers unique Power. /s
But, I am pretty sure that at least Pop Goes the Weasel will get a Nerf in the future. The Devs are continuing to make the game easier for Killers, and while PGTW is not a completely effortless Slowdown like Ruin was (new Ruin now requires effort), in the end of the day it is a Slowdown for just playing the game. You gain pressure by hooking people and even gain 25% Gen Regression on top.
So I guess, somewhat after they introduced their Start Phase-Change they talked about in the 4th anniversary, they will also take a look at some Killers or Perks.
Regarding Corrupt Intervention, I guess it would only get a Nerf if the Start Phase-Change would make it too powerful. But I cannot really see that and IMO Corrupt Intervention is an important Perk since it helps out weaker Killers (and especially Setup Killers) a lot.

I imagine nobody talks about the "good" spots because most survivors assume their idiot teammates were just blind (which is the case like 50% of the time) or, even more likely, they die and leave the match before it's over so, depending on the hex in question, they might not even be aware it happened. Alternatively, they found it... therefore probably didn't think it was some incredibly hard-to-find spot. If you can destroy a killer's entire perk slot, it should at least not be sitting out in the open right next to a generator. Which it is way more often than it should be.
I mean, sure, the open spot on Disturbed Ward should not happen at all. But when I look at a map like Autohaven, it is inevitable that Totems (Dull or Hex) spawn next to Generators, because there are not many structures/junk where you can hide them in. So more "clean" maps will have easier Totem Spots than Maps which were fairly new and have more stuff distributed on the Map.
They said that Totem Spots are an ongoing process and they have improved quite a lot. But it is a lot more work than simply placing them on a different spot, because on some Maps, there are simply no good hiding spots, even tho they can (and should) at least change the most obvious spots (like the one in the open on Disturbed Ward).

Except they aren't, this is how it should be but it isn't. As it stands Chery's voice is recycled for Lisa and The Oni's voice is not altered in any way upon changing into the Minotaur, and for the matter the Greek Minotaur for some reason still wields a Japanese Kanabo so I refer back to one of my previous comments:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1588891#Comment_1588891
There is no significant visible increase / difference in quality between the current legendary skins we do have, and just the premium very rare cosmetics we've been getting over the past 4 years. Just because it says "legendary" doesn't mean it actually is and unfortunately it seems to be more of a marketing ploy than actual quality content.
Well, exactly. This is why I would not buy them. But IF there would be a difference, if they would make them unique, I would buy them, even if they are 15 Euros, when I like the character.
-
I would buy them (also for 15 Euros/Dollar) if:
I like the Character itself.
And the Legendary Skin differs from usualy purple Skins. So, different name in Lobby, different voice and for Killer different secondary weapon. This would be worth the extra money.
-
There are also good Totem Spots, but nobody talks about them. Probably because Survivors dont complain about stuff like that on a constant basis like Killers do.
This is on Storehouse on one of the walls of the Storehouse. Without the Map, I would not have been able to find it:
Totem Spots on new and reworked Maps are sometimes insane. In the end, Hex-Perks should be a risk/reward, you can have a Hex-Totem next to a Gen or so hidden that it does not get found for minutes.
-
Of course Exhaustion Add Ons should be removed/reworked. As said, they were created when Exhaustion went down in a Chase. Especially Huntress is dumb with her Exhaustion Add On, 3000 BPs to negate Perks? Yeah, right... And the brown one is as good as the green one, since it does not matter at all if someone is exhausted for 30 seconds, 90 seconds or 10 minutes.
Just imagine the other way around - old Ruin with new Instructions (no Skill Checks) and old Toolboxes. Killers would riot, because Ruin would be negated.
But negating Exhaustion Perks is fine... eh.
I really hope they rework those Add Ons when Huntress gets her Add On Rework, and there is hope for that, since they removed Exhaustion from Doctor as well.

When did i ever say its good for killers to tunnel? i was just pointing out that DS has a function whether you get the stun or not. There are zero other perks in the game that are as powerful as DS. Its mere existance changes the game.
Now. If you are going to put words in my mouth at least try to make me say something close to what I was talking about.
But this exactly is the function. If there is an Obsession in the game and the Killer does not have any Obsession-Perks, DS is very likely since the other Perks which are Obsession-Perks are pretty weak (except for Object, but a) the Killer sees it and b) having an Object in the game does not mean that nobody has DS).
And well, your wording "too much passive play"... "changes how the Killer plays".. "Just look at how killers play without an obsession and you see the strength of passive DS." looks like you think that it is a bad thing. If this was not meant this way, apologies for that.
I mean, if anyone asks me, there should always be an Obsession in the game. At least this is probably 50% of the reason why I use DS - to create an Obsession.
-
Piggy
-
Practice. You cant play Spirit and Freddy all the time and expect same results in a Killer which is new for you. Also, try to play Killers with full-loadout, so only playing them when you got a decent Build on them.

DS doesnt have to be used to be powerful. The simple fact that there is an obsession changes the way killers play.
Much like old ruin gave killers too much passive power, DS does the same. By existing it makes the obsession mechanic pertinent and powerful.
Just look at how killers play without an obsession and you see the strength of passive DS.
You are acting as if it is a bad thing that Killers are not free to tunnel because they might get hit by DS. I mean, I know for sure what happens when no Obsession is in the game.
-
If you need NOED to get your kills, at least dedicate a Perk Slot to it, lol.
-
Yep, no player should depip if one player disconnects. Blackpip minimum for all Survivors and the Killer, IMO.
