The new DBD Creator Program. It means they are sponsored by BHVR. Point is, he's a big streamer who has many hours of showing how abused this can be.
But that's the problem with the us vs. them mentality this game has.. no amount of proof by the other side will convince any of us… and BHVR a lot of the time it seems just listens to the biggest voices… Is tunneling and slugging a terrible epidemic that happens every single game? Yes if you ask a survivor main, no if you ask a killer main.Yeah, and because he is such a streamer his opinion is obviously far more valueable than any other opinion. Classic.
But even IF I would be willing to record my gameplay (I wont), you are basically asking me to fail. And if I show that Fast Track was not as valuable as your godlike Streamer is claiming, you will simply say that I threw on purpose.
And fun fact - I even said that Gens can get done quickly. But I just said that it was overall not better than me with my regular build. But dont worry, if you complain enough, BHVR does another kneejerk reaction and nerfs the Perk into the ground. And the best thing is that most Survivors dont even care about Fast Track, since it is not as good as you or godlike Streamers want to claim it is.

Oh well if YOU tested it then case closed. When are you releasing your full video of your gameplay?
If you don't have video of multiple games of you trying to abuse it and failing due to it not being broken, I will believe an Iridescent Partnered streamer that has been doing multiple games on both sides illustrating how terribly broken it is.Of course you will, since it helps your unreasonable hysteria. (Whatever a Iridescent Partnered streamer is)

I agree, it looks really bad. I think they should have just given Survivors a small S-Rank symbol next to their Perks when he reaches S-Rank.

I would say that the only counter to this build is healing outside of his terror radius or simply playing injured.
I am aware that it's harder for people to do, but I see your point and Behavior should look at it if the data indicates that it's an issue.
I would personally rather deal with this build than full regression or aura reading, but that's because I actually do like playing injured (I like to be efficient on gens) so, the build doesn't bother me but I can see this being an issue in mid-low MMR.
I personally think it's a weak build on a high mobility killer like Blight, but that's just my 2 cents.
Edit: I want to add another thing as another crucial tip. Separate, do not be with other survivors, and he will not get perk value out of Infectious.
I see so many survivors and sometimes in my own games that will be together, let's say they're healing - they will go down together and it practically collapses the game.
If you're aware he has this build, work around it, and punish it. If you need any more tips on how to deal with this, I do not mind answering further.
I would say that the only counter to this build is healing outside of his terror radius or simply playing injured.
When using Distressing Blight has a 52m Terror Radius. You will basically be in his Terror Radius all the time, especially due to his insane mobility. Which also helps him to down people quickly with Infectious Fright. You are far away when he downs someone, but he is very quickly on you.
Separate, do not be with other survivors, and he will not get perk value out of Infectious.
While this is true, when you pick someone up, you need to be close to them. Which then prompts the Killer to go back to that location and at this point, there are two Survivors which are close to each other.
It is absolutely miserable to go against. Of course some muppets will now say it is due to Fast Track, but this is not true, this build has been around for quite some time. And not only on Blight, Billy is basically the same. And it just shows that Anti-Slugging is needed, because stuff like that should not be possible. And nerfing the Perks is not really a solution, because neither Infectious Fright, nor Coulrophobia, nor Distressing or Forced Hesitation (which is the Perk which was used on top of the rest when I encountered the build) are a problem on its own.
You can argue if Blight would be the problem and while this is the case to some extend, reasonable Nerfs to him will not change that this build on him is oppressive. And even if the Devs can somehow change Blight in a way that this is not possible, players would just jump to Billy who is the next best user of it.

It is good that Survivors are only Cosmetics and it should stay that way. Giving Survivors unique properties is something which could have worked at the beginning of the game, but it is far too late now. And I would also guess that not doing that was also something which helped the game massively.
And as already said, it will just create a Meta. So instead of playing the character you like the most, feel connected to the most or just has the coolest cosmetics for you, you would rather pick a character with a good ability. And this is just wrong IMO. What if someone was an Ace-Main for the whole time and then Ace gets one of the worst abilities? This would mean that this person would either have to accept that they play a weaker Survivor and be at a disadvantage or that they need to switch the Survivor.
And honestly, this would probably also lead to Lobbies featuring up to 4 times the same Survivor, which also looks really bad.

I also switched it for Deja Vu and felt I was better off with the tiny repair boost and the info rather than a perk I may or may not get any value from. All my matches ended with me still having tokens too, either because I died, everyone died so fast they weren't even worth using, or the killer did so bad i didnt even need to bother and barely had any tokens to use. They can listen to the outcries and nerf it, I really don't care, but it's not amazing unless maybe you're in a 4man and all of you are running it. But I'd have to try that out for myself to know, and I doubt I can get together three people who even want to play survivor anymore.
Oh, I also dont care about Fast Track itself. The Devs can nerf it because Killers were crying about it, I dont care about the Perk. And I guess most people will not care who played it. What I care about is that it would be another thing which gets changed because Killers complain instead of just waiting a bit. Because once new toy syndrome is gone, Fast Track will be used far less, since it is just not as good as the Meta Perks for Survivor.
But the brainrot is strong with this one. I have seen a Killer today who complained more about Fast Track on a Survivor than the fact that the Survivor was cheating (a Dwight with Fast Track, Hyperfocus, Built to Last and Deadline). And the best thing is that Fast Track did not even have much impact, since there were only two Hooks by Cheryl and my SWF-Mate and myself were slugged and never hooked. Yet this Killer, even if they knew that Dwight was cheating, complained more about Fast Track than cheating. Complete brainrot with all the complaints about Survivor Perks.

Spotted the survivor main trying to justify this broken perk. I watched an Iridescent Partner Streamer spend an entire night abusing this perk and 9/10 times he got at least 3 if not 4 survivors out because most killers don't slug and tunnel as much as these forums suggest they do.
In fact, no I will not tell you the build, but he managed to finish a generator entirely solo withing using an entire toolbox. I saw this multiple times.I tested the Perk and it is not as good as people think it is. It is just the typical hysteria from Killer Mains when something might not be useless anymore on the Survivor Side which was useless before.
Let alone that the scenario you described was also possible before the Buff. The part that Gens can be done faster with Fast Track is not new, what is new is that it is reduced charges and not faster repair speed. But this does not matter if the Killer does not even kick the Gen.
So, no. I tested it and came to the conclusion that it does not benefit me more than my regular Survivor Build. Even if single Gens could be done fast (again, this was possible before the Buff), it does not really save the time I lose by not being able to be efficient in other ways.
-
Fat fingered, sorry
-
I dont think that new players will ever think it is unfair that someone else hits more Great Skill Checks and gets a Gen done slightly faster (it is only 1% per Great Skill Check, after all). And honestly, it should be the case that there is more skill at doing Skill Checks which can be achieved. Obviously, repairing Gens overall is not the most skillful interaction, since everyone can press M1. But the Skill Checks are basically the only way of Skill Expression you can have while repairing a Gen and as Survivor, you have to do that A LOT. Dumbing that down would not be good IMO.
Because why even bother going for Great Skill Checks if you dont have any real incentive anymore? Sure, more BPs is nice, but since you can cap out on the Objectives Category, this incentive might be meaningless. Personally, I was already a bit unhappy with them nerfing the Skill Check Progression on Gens from 2% to 1%, even if they increased the BPs. Obviously it was a very easy and logical way to make Gens take longer, but for me it was removing a lot of reward for actually being good at Skill Checks. This should not be reduced further.

I'm not playing this game much but I see this perk getting used almost every single round at least once and every 4-5 games a full team runs it
Let's be fr here. I've played 19 matches tonight and have seen maybe 3 individual people with this perk. I tried it out myself and found it to be too situational and inconsistent in soloq to be worth running.
This is my experience as well. I had another evening of running my Gen Build, which includes Fast Track. And again, I have to say that I am not impressed. There are some Gens which were done crazy fast, but I dont think this was overall more helpful than my regular Build. Plus, most of those Gens would have been equally as fast with pre-Buff Fast Track, because there was no difference between charges being removed or if it would have been Progress added like before, because I did those Gens uninterrupted. And if you dont get interrupted, it does not matter if you put "Mini-BNPs" in the Gen or just do it quicker.
But there have been situations where I am pretty sure that me running a Gen-Build did not lead to better results. E.g. I could do a Gen extremely quickly because I had 9 Stacks of Fast Track on a Gen which was already filled with 3 Stacks before. But I was also 2-Hook in that game because nobody could get me in time since the Killer came back, which would not have been the case if I had my usual Deliverance.
Also, I think the time I would have saved by running Deja-vu in my regular Build to find Gens would have been more valuable than the time I save on Gens by using a Toolbox (with Built to Last), Hyperfocus/Stake Out and Fast Track.

I can't tell how much of an effect it's really having but i hate that it's encouraged so many players to use gen rush builds. They've always not been fun to go against but in my experience they were uncommon to go against but now it's at least 2 every game.
They play so disrespectful as well, trying to ignore my precense as much as possible and it's so frustrating when they get away with it.I have been trying a Genrush-Build as well and to be honest, I dont think it makes that much difference. With a few Fast Track Perks and a Commodious + Stake Out/Hyperfocus, a Gen can be very quickly. But I think that me not having any of the other Perks I usually run evens out the Buff in Gen Repair Speed I am giving to myself.
At least result-wise it does not really seem to have an impact when I run a full Genrush-Build.
-
If you were perkless and the game lasted less than 4 minutes, this means you did not have any map pressure at all. And this would also mean that you most likely did not have many hooks (if any). So Fast Track was not really relevant here.

Personally I don't like when there are god pallets on a map I don't see that as skillful it's just guaranteed waste of alot of time unless your like nurse which just ignores everything with normal loops and depending on the killer you as a killer or survivor can try to outplay each other but with God pallets there is no such interaction it's just boring you have to break and sure maybe the experience gets a lil better when broken but still ain't fun in my opinion that they exist in the first place.
You say it isn't the killer job to prevent gens it's to kill then wouldn't camping and tunneling be arguably be the best way to do that? Yet I've seen you're posts to fight against those. Why? Is it because it isn't fun or just bad interaction?
Finally the Stigma of Otz. Otz is loved and appreciated by many sure maybe he's seen as gospel by some but his experience and skill has earned him some credit yet I have my own opinions I agree and disagree with Otz on some things yet whenever I agree with some takes with Otz and try to discuss the topic on the take I'm just written off as a mindless Otz fan and it really shows in these forums.
Ideally the maps would have only very, very few god Pallets and the rest should be unsafe Pallets which are 50/50. And to be hoenst, this is not the case for the new map, the weak Pallets are not fair either, since they are very easy for the Killer to outplay. So basically the opposite of God Pallets.
And yes, tunneling is the best way to play Killer. I have never said anything else. But I know, I am only the Survivor-Main who has no idea how Killer is played. Because it has to be like this, since I dont complain constantly how bad it is for Killer. (Since it isnt)
And nah, sorry. Your thread consists of a one-liner and a Link to an Otz-video. That people say that you are a mindless Otz-Fan with that is deserved.

I'm not going way weigh in on the rest of your comment any more than to say I believe the top killers should see some nerfs and the bottom should see a bunch of buffs, but I absolutely agree that MMR needs to be stricter.
I've been matched against Lilith Omen a couple times recently when he was doing a Blight win streak, and I just have to wonder why on earth that happened. Why am I, a solo queue survivor who's only slightly above average in terms of skill, being put up against one of the best Blight players in the world? And I repeat: a Blight player who was doing a win streak, so we were all dead at 3/4 gens both times because he was obviously going all out to ensure his streak kept going.
I remember Behaviour made MMR stricter for a brief period not long after the system was introduced, and a bunch of content creators and others at high MMR complained about having to wait longer to find lobbies. I understand that must suck, especially if someone is a streamer and has an audience they need to keep entertained, but it shouldn't come at the expense of 100s of innocent solo queuers just hopping on for a few chill matches. It just leads to matches where the survivors get decimated, then on the other side of the coin, the next match those survivors could get matched against a brand-new killer and the killer gets decimated. Matches that are genuinely close are much rarer nowadays. It's usually a complete stomp for one side.
I've been matched against Lilith Omen a couple times recently when he was doing a Blight win streak, and I just have to wonder why on earth that happened. Why am I, a solo queue survivor who's only slightly above average in terms of skill, being put up against one of the best Blight players in the world? Yes, this is stuff which can happen. Most of the time it is because of backfilling. A Killer dodged and so the Survivors get a new Killer, just with queuetimes favored over fairness. Most of the time it is a less experienced Killer who gets thrown into a game which will not be fun for them, because someone else was entitled and dodged and sometimes it is a far better player.
But another thing is simply the soft cap of MMR. Once you are over the Soft Cap, you basically have random Matchmaking. Lets say the Soft Cap is at 1600. And once you reach 1600, you can face opponents who are also at 1600 or those who are at >3000. Because otherwise the latter would never find games.
But this just leads to inconsistent matchmaking, something which should be prevented by MMR. Like, my SWF-Mate and I sometimes get Killers which dont know if they play DBD or Minecraft and then in the next game, we go against gamma_ssg, who is one of the Top Blight players. You went from one stomp to a totally different stomp. Yesterday we had a player who had almost 300 hours. I am on almost 11k hours, my SWF-Mate is on almost 8k hours. It is not fair that someone gets backfilled in our Lobby like that.
Which is also why every change to MMR needs to come with a punishment for Lobbydodging or the removal of the pregame Lobby. Because most frustration comes from dodging, at least this would be my assumption. But I doubt it will ever happen.
@Topic:
Dont get your hopes up for a MMR-Rework. If anything happens, it will be very minor. My guess would be that they count the Survivors as a Team instead of Individuals, e.g. if you die but the other 3 Survivors escape, you gain MMR instead of losing it. I think this is the only change which will happen.
As I said, they should do something about Lobbydodging, but they wont do it. They would also not make MMR more strict, because this would mean that Streamers would have a harder time finding games and if you have someone like Otz who streams for hours a day in front of a few thousand viewers basically doing Lobby Simulator instead of his challenges, you would have really bad advertisement for the game and the Devs dont want that.

Ah, gotcha. And you saw this a lot? Do you still see it a lot? I've seen it maybe twice in my 5k hours, but I will be honest, I could of just missed the rats lol. I mean, they are just hiding. Ah well.
#BringDistortionBack
Because they ARE rare. And they still happen. As I said in a previous post, the only difference might be that Rats now have to spend more time in Lockers.
The last time I encountered a rat was a week ago or so. And that person was so inactive that they had an AFK-crow, something I have not seen in months before. And this person was basically using Still Sight and Left behind to see where the Killer is and if Hatch spawns, to see where the Hatch is. But this does not mean that either of those Perks needs to be nerfed, because they are simply not good. And it is the behavior of the people which is an issue, but I would not even consider this a big problem. Because it is very rare and there is not really any way to change it. They tried to make AFK-Crows more aggressive, but this backfired because they were too common and people would get AFK-Crows just for evading the Killer in normal gameplay.
And the real reason why Distortion was nerfed was because it was a good Perk and Killers complained about it. Because suddenly Killer Mains think of Survivors being unproductive and hiding and care for SoloQ, when the reality was that people claimed that they never find people because of Distortion and it would lead to tunneling, because Survivors without Distortion would be tunneled.
Obviously the question appears what people do who dont run any Aura Perks at all, because they would probably play under perma-Distortion and still get Kills… But this was not really a thought the Devs had when nerfing Distortion, they just did it because people complained.

I'm just gonna copy and paste Reinami response since your being oblivious
So you spend 50 seconds breaking 3 god pallets, and then another 30-40 chasing and downing that survivor, then another 15 or so to pick them up and hook them. How many seconds is that? Oh yeah, 3 gens popped.
Nah, I just ignore Reinami.
But just a question - why do you people always act as if God Pallets are permanent? 3 God Pallets are gone and those cannot be used anymore, meaning that while you spent 50 seconds on that chase to remove 3 God Pallets, it does not mean that the next chases in that area will take as long, since the ressources are gone (which is completely normal DBD-gameplay… but I am the one being obvlious).
Let alone that it has never been the goal of the Killer to prevent Gens from being done, the goal of the Killer is to kill Survivors. and especially the first Gens will go fast while the last Gen can take as long as the previous Gens combined.
So focussing on that one chase which took 50 seconds is just dumb and someone like Otz should know how the game is played. But I also know that he caters to his audience which consists of players who are almost exclusively worse than him (which is no offense, since this also includes me and Otz is just very, very good at the game) and stuff like this gets a discussion going since people sometimes see it is pure gospel when he says something.

So before it's nerf Distortion was in the top 10 used Survivors perks and of course Killer players hated it but if a Survivor is just hiding all game and letting their team die other Survivors players don't like that and refer to it as Rat behavior.
Of course all players should play the way they want to but Survivors are on a team and need to work together to escape
I have almost never encountered such a playstyle with Distortion around. And nerfing Distortion into uselessness does not even change anything, it just means that players who want to play that stealthy spend more time in Lockers.
-
It does not, but there is perception bias. I also have the feeling that the first game on Billy I am doing is on an Indoor Map. But I will never remember the days where this did not happen.
Same with OP - 6 out of 7 games on Indoor Maps. But the next time OP picks up Singularity, they might get 0 Indoor Maps, but wont remember that.
So yeah, sometimes it can feel that way, but there is not really any connection that the Killer you play influences the map. You just notice it more if you end up on a Map which is bad for your Killer.
(Boosted Maps need to go tho. 100%)

It's 2 minutes if you do nothing, or go get BP, or spam power.
It's far less if you hit them out. And as someone who actually doesn't give a ######### about crouching, and you claim not to, I have never actually seen a full 2 minute end game collapse with the gates open. At least not with 4 survivors standing.
I hit them out. And doing so I've actually forced mistakes and extra kills because of it. And anyone who truly has thick skin has surely done the same over a long period of time.
Those are options not available to slugs. In fact, it's not even available unless very specific conditions are met. I had a match recently where I'm not sure what his issue was, but the slinger tunneled and slugged Nancy it for 4 minutes until she bled out. Threw the game for it, since we did gens. But she never got to abandon since 3 people were still standing. Pretty ######### gameplay for everyone, honestly. But still possible even right now.
If she was picked up, she could have abandoned after being picked up 2 times/slugged for the 3rd time. Which is also a reasonable use of Abandon.
I did that yesterday, just to give an perspective of how much time Killers want to waste. Faced a Blight with Double Speed, Coulrophobia, Forced Hesitation, Infectious Fright and Distressing. Obviously his goal was to never hook a Survivor and his massive Terror Radius meant that healing was somewhat possible, but healing and getting away was not. The game went for minutes without any progress on Gens or Hooks and at some point I just abandoned, same with my SWF-Mate and the last two Survivors abandoned when they were both downed. We tried to play for a while, but were not allowed to, since even if the Killer grabbed someone, they just dropped that person. (Must be one of those M1-Killers I hear about, who are the only ones who slug. And with 0 Gens done, he had a lot of pressure…)
Compare that to: 2 minutes waiting that Survivors leave. Which is 100% the Killers decision that they want to wait 2 minutes instead of just forcing the Survivors out.
And yet people think that a few teabagging Survivors at the Exit Gate are the worst thing in this game.

Ah yes, a picture of Gabriel completely proves your point why a map with below average size should be cut in half to be the (by far) smallest map in the game.

Solution would be that in a 2v1 the slugged Survivor can abandon. This would mean they dont have to waste their time on the ground for 4 minutes while the other one is hiding hoping for Hatch and the Killer can still slug for the 4K.
When it will happen? Probably never, since it is such a clear case where Abandon would be good and if it is not implemented by now, I dont think they will ever implement it.

To the first part. Isn't that like objectively false? I am not trying to be rude but like… gen speeds are a big issue in DBD.
Like… it's the reason killers tunnel and slug now. That or they are toxic but saying the majority of tunneling/slugging killers do it to be toxic is just simply ignorance.
Don't get me wrong I am not saying "Survivor doing gen fast is bad and evil and toxic grrr ):<". But also having 3 gens pop in back to back in the first chase right after the first injure is just kind of absurd, especially when the chase started in the first seconds of the trial.Sorry, but I am also tired of this argument that X is the reason why Killers tunnel and slug. Whoever started saying this nonsense is either a big troll or straight up lying. And parotting it does not make it better.
We have years in this game where tunneling was ALWAYS the best strategy. Because it is ALWAYS more beneficial to turn the game into a 3v1, since this is just how the dynamic of the game works. In an ideal scenario against 4 Survivors the Killer has 1 on the hook, 1 in chase, 1 going for the rescue and 1 is free doing Gens. In a 3v1 the last one is gone. And this never changed.
However, all the years we have Killers saying that if X happens, they will tunnel less (or when Y happens they threat to tunnel more). And regardless if X happens or Y happens or does not happen, the tunneling does not change. Just the goal post gets moved, because now we have the case that if X2 happens they will tunnel less. And so on.
Saying that more Gen Progression Perks are the reason that Killers tunnel is quite ignorant and also shows that the gameplay is not really understood. Because all Gen Progression Perks which were released are outright bad. This includes the buff of Fast Track. Is it better? Yes, 100%. Is it good? Hell, no. Meanwhile, Killers get a very useful Buff to PGTW. Which gets completely ignored by them (and which I repeat - was buffing one of the most popular Killer Perks instead of trying to make some of the least used Killer Perks useable…).
I am 100% sure that in a week or two nobody will talk about Fast Track anymore. The only thing which is uncertain is whether this is due Killers realising that the Perk is not as strong as they think it is (or to be more precise - as those clickbaiting Content Creators told them…) or BHVR doing another kneejerk reaction and nerfing the Perk into the ground. I guess it is 40/60 on the latter, but hey… We will see.

The Walking Dead is a far more recent IP. The series just ended 3 1/2 years ago, so more people will probably know it at this point. Plus there are spin-offs planned or already realized. (Including a Daryl Spin-Off)
Castlevania on the other hand is older, especially the videogames. The most recent content is the Netflix series, but it has been years since they released a new Castlevania game. And even longer since they released an actually good Castlevania game…
And for Alucard and Soma in particular, Aria of Sorrow and Dawn of Sorrow are around 20 years old, Symphony of the Night is almost 30 years old. And ingame, I am not sure if you can already buy Soma in the Store, since it was a Rift-Skin.
-
Just to clarify: That you get a message that your report was resolved does not mean that someone was banned. This message meant that someone checked your report, but nothing else. Plus, if you only reported ingame but did not write a Support Ticket, your ticket will most likely not result in a Ban at all.
Obviously not getting ingame notifications if reports were worked on is concerning, but if you got them before it did not mean that someone was penalized. You will not get any information from BHVR if someone was banned or not.

I am afraid aswell that this perk could lead to even more tunneling, because it is one of these "They could have this perks" because you will kinda only know in end game chat.
Another problem I see are subtle cheaters abusing this. I mean who could tell if a gen really only lost a certain % of whole progress.
Those are nonsensical arguments which happen every damn time someone picks out the current Survivor-Perk which is now a problem or a reason why Killers tunnel.
Subtle cheaters are no reason why the Perk should receive changes or not. Otherwise you can nerf every Perk with just saying "subtle cheaters". IMO if there is a Perk subtle cheaters might use it is Hyperfocus and if someone is using Hyperfocus without Stake Out, it is a sign, but even then, there needs to be more solid evidence.
And when it comes to tunneling - it is just another excuse for Killers who would have tunneled anyway to tunnel. We know those threats at this point which come up when a new Perk is released. But in the end, Killers will tunnel anyway. Saying that Fast Track might lead to more Killers tunneling is just not logical, tunneling is already the most efficient way to play Killer and also the easiest way to play Killer, which has no downsides (if you pick your right chases of course) and only upsides. So Fast Track excisting does not change anything on that.

Killer gen regression is very laughably weak compared to what it has been in the past. Survivor gen perks are basically the strongest they have been since before pain res existed, while gen regression for killer is basically the weakest it's been since then. Survivors don't need a 1 for 1 gen perk every time killers get any form of slowdown when they already have insanely broken gen perks capable of finishing a gen solo in under a minute as is.
When the game already isn't balanced, you can't give both sides something every time or the game remains unbalanced. If killers get a buff to regression but survivors get gen speed buffs at the same time then nothing changes, except it forces killers to use regression perks even more to counteract all the survivors using those gen perks.
Survivor Gen Progression Perks are not good. And this include buffed Fast Track.
And you did not even say anything to the point I made - why buff one of the most used Perks instead of one of the weak Perks nobody runs to have some variety?

they need to make it feel size appropriate by cutting it in half, everyone feels its too big, you can hold w endlessly and every single killer will drop chase, i havent had any killer commit once you start holding w, i played only survivor last night and not a single killer got a 4k, i think i only died once because i was taunting a slinger at the exit gate
The map is below average in size. Obviously "cutting it in half" would be a stupid idea, do you even realize how small it would be?
Sometimes people just dont realize how big or small maps actually are. You cannot just say "Map is too big", when it is below average in size, lol.

If Fast Track gets reverted so should pop. nobody gets gen perks this update.
This is what Killers seem to forget that they got quite a huge buff on PGTW. Which I dont understand to be honest. I have checked it a week ago or so and PGTW was in the Top 15 Killer Perks (now it is Top 4 according to nightlight).
I simply dont understand why the Devs decide to buff one of the most used Killer Perks (Slowdown-Perk on top of that, the most boring kind of Perks) and dont try to buff some of the unplayable garbage Killers have. Even if they want to look at a gen-related Perk, there is Undone as the 138th most used Perk (out of 139) which is hot garbage. Why not try to buff a Perk like this instead of going for one of the most picked Perks?

There was numerous feedback how broken it was on the ptb including multiple videos showcasing how broken it was.
Those videos were fabricated scenarios which dont happen in regular gameplay. I tested Fast Track this evening with a full Gen Build and I am honestly not really impressed.

Your team doesn't have to die, they just need to get hooked. That is a massive difference. People can still survive and win the game with 2 hookstates
You know what I mean. Give it a week and nobody will talk about Fast Track anymore. I am 100% sure of that.
The only thing I am not sure is if this is because people realized it is not as bad as they thought it is or BHVR is doing another kneejerk reaction nerfing the Perk into the ground again.
-
You can literally remove half progress of a gen with ONE person running perks revolving around that perk, and people complained about this perk in the PTB?
…while your team is dying. Why do people always skip over this part?
Fast Track was a bad Perk before. Fast Track is still not a good Perk, even if it is better now. People were panicking about Fast Track when it first released and this panic was, as always, unjustified. Now Fast Track received changes and people are panicking. Because for some reason, people think that one Survivor Perk (which was either new or received changes) needs to be the next big thing which is concerning for Killer. And almost always it turns out to be a non-issue.
With all the gen perks being added, stop adding more.
They are all bad tho. The only good ones are Dejavu, but mainly because you find Generators quicker and have better tools to avoid 3-Gens and Resilience, but this is because it is an overall good Perk.
-
No. You would then have Cheryl (if you dont own her yet) and the Charm which was given out with the DLC. But the DLC will not be cheaper and you will not get any compensation for already owning Pyramid Head.

"these situations were not coming to pass outside of coordinated tests that required setup for the perfect scenario"
I'm actually really glad to see you guys acknowledge this. This sort of artificial gameplay, typically created by youtubers with their friends for views, has been going on for a long time. They then get their viewers stressed out thinking that what they've just watched will constantly happen to them. I hope we have more wait and see approaches going forward.
Those videos are horrible. Those are highly fabricated scenarios which will never happen in regular gameplay, only because Youtubers want their clickbait titles a la "Gen completed in 6 seconds!!!" when the build is 4 people with fast track, BNPs etc.
This would be the equivalent of saying that Trapper is an OP Killer, because you can down 4 Survivors which are standing in a perfect line in around 15 seconds.

Show everyone's + allow us to select our own server(s). It hasn't happened recently but there have been numerous times in the past where everyone was seemingly thrown into the wrong server with 100+ ping.
This is not something you can really control. I think this happens when Servers in your region are full, so all 5 players get connected to a different Server. Granted, they could just let the players wait longer to get into the Lobby if that happens, I am very sure that players would rather wait a minute longer than playing a game where everyone has 200 Ping.
But the game is already trying to put you on the Server with the best ping and only if that is not possible because there is no capacity, you get connected to something else.

BBQ, Ruin, Pop meta
I really miss extra BP from BBQ and overall killers had time and reason to spread hooks more with this build.
Looking back, I dont like this time period at all. As Survivor, I dont think that there was really any real reason for Killers to spread Hooks. They could tunnel someone out and then get their Stacks afterwards. Granted, there was less tunneling back then.
And as Killer, I really disliked how it made me run BBQ on every Killer. It was a nice sidequest on one side, getting your 4 BBQ-Stacks was always the goal for me. But on the other side, I felt forced to run BBQ because otherwise I would miss out on BPs. Given that this was also the time where the grind was horrible, it meant that I would not play a Killer before I unlocked BBQ in the Bloodweb, because otherwise it would be too long.
@Topic:
I think the time from 2020-2022 was the most fun for me on either side.
For Killer it was around the Release of the first Resident Evil-Chapter, simply because I really liked Nemesis and had a lot of fun with him. I basically only played Nemesis during that time and I had such a blast.
For Survivor, I liked the time where MfT was released. Simply because it was the first time in years that a new Perk was released which made me change my Build.

On one hand, it's a valid point, but the OP's complaint is specifically about the endgame. Would Jay_K's idea be acceptable if it only applied in endgame?
It would be more acceptable in Endgame. But then we are at the point where we have to ask why Survivors should be punished for playing well.
IMO it would be better if it would be somehow tied to unique Hooks the Killer has. I think it is more justified if a Killer who has 6+ Hooks in Endgame and did not tunnel gets an advantage in Endgame compared to the Killer who has 1 Hook before reaching Endgame, because they tried to tunnel.

oh It is? 😂 I always though survivors where above heads and killer was next to ready button.
Your own Ping Indicator is next to the Ready Button. The one of other Survivors is above their head.
-
@random1543 said:
Yes we should be able to see everyones ping.
There is the red tag at the moment in lobby but swear wont show then you'll load in and oh no killer has bad ping.Isnt this your own Ping? Because this would also explain why it is meaningless, since you can have great Ping but if the Killer has 200 Ping, it does not matter at all.

So in other words, the anti-tunnel would only activate AFTER tunnelling has already happened.
Brilliant. What a deterrent.
Exactly. And the usual case is that Killers go for Hooks after they tunneled one Survivor out. Because at this point it is just BP-Farming for them.

Where would you put Freddy? I've always considered him an M1 killer, despite his map traversal and anti-loop power, so just curious
I would say he is clearly an M1-Killer. But the line can blurry at some point. I think it is important to consider how often a Killer can injure with the M2 and how useful the M1 is in a chase. And if we look at Freddys chase power, then it is not really different than Clown and nobody would say that Clown is not an M1-Killer.
Freddys only way to damage without using M1 are the Dream Pallets, but I would not really consider this something which would not make him a M1-Killer, because the amount of times you actually remove a Health State with those is pretty low.
The map traversal also does not really help him in chase. Sure, you can cut people off, but I think it is way more efficient to do that as Ghoul.

but factually tough he is an m1 vs injured survivors by definition after this change . He does not have an m2 damaging state and will always have to m1 for a down .
Nurse does also not have any way to damage with an M2. You cannot say that just because a Killer has to click M1 that it is an M1-Killer.
A M1-Killer typically cannot traverse the full map in seconds. Or a M1-Killer cannot be on you after seconds and cut you off after they put you into the injured state (or mending state).
-
@NotVerySuss said:
I hope it's not intentional or else he is officially just another M1 killer.
lol.
He clearly isnt. Not getting cheap scamper-like Hits does not make a Killer suddenly an M1-Killer. M1-Killer clearly has become a buzzword at this point.

I love you fixed the Dodging problems they had of only dodging right. But Killers like The Unknown, Huntress, Deathslinger, Springtrap and Trickster Very Difficult to play against when ur in a real Game.
The fact they can dodge attacks they cant see coming or know is happening kinda needs to be looked at. I know most players play with other Players but the fact Survivors DCing/Abandoning matches leaves bots makes this a concerning issue for Ranged Killers.
Yes i tested this with My Main The Unknown P52 btw.
@[Deleted User] said:
I think bots should be made relatively weak. They already have something going for them that makes them much stronger than normal survivors because they do gens. I can't tell you how many times real players have ruined my survivor matches by not doing gens. A bot is already a better teammate just by doing gens
How can you two struggle with Bots? Seriously, if there is a Bot early in the game, there might just be one player less like before. Bots go down very quickly in chases. Bots also do random things like crouching mid-chase or "hide" in the open. Against certain Killers they like to use up all the ressource. As Nemesis, just infect a Bot and you will not have to deal with Syringes pretty quickly for example.
And from my experience, they are also not really doing Gens. Especially because they are also very scared of the Killers Terror Radius and run away immediatly when they just hear a little bit of it.

Sadly BHVR seems to aim to make DBD the most generic looking game on the market. The removal of Flavour texts is bad and I dont know who had this idea. But whoever had it had not the best idea.
-
This wasn't a comeback, it was a mockery. Especially compared to what survivors got— Windows Of Opportunity is still a problem, and rather than address it, BHVR gave survivors an even stronger new version of it.
Five Moves ahead, especially with the Cooldown-Increase, is not really a better version of WoO. Let alone that WoO is not really a problem at all.
-
Not so much to be honest. Trickster changes dont really concern me, I never was a fan of playing him. He is most likely better for Trickster Mains, but this makes him even worse for me to play. But I am fine with that, not like I really played him at all.
Will not look forward to face him more often.
Survivor is whatever, Perks are meh like always and it is another Skin.
Not looking forward to the map at all, people are hyped about it because the map looks pretty, but it is basically an Indoor Map and I dont like those kind of maps.

The point I'm trying to make is not "bad killers should still get kills". It's to point out the hypocrisy of "if 2+ survviors die before X gens are done its tunnneling and is bad and shouldn''t be possible but on the flip side gen rushing isn't real and if a killer cant get a kill before X gens are don they're trash". Or to simplify it even further
"If a survivor dies before gens are powered they got tuneled and BHVR needs to fix it because that's BS"
vs"If a killer fails to get a kill before EGC they're trash, even if they're spreading hooks, BHVR should make it even harder for killers to secure a kill"
The point is that the Killer who tunnels and the Killer who complains about not getting pity Kills in Endgame are the same persons. So we have a Killer who tries to tunnel, is too bad and then wants to get a Kill gifted in Endgame, because they sucked too much before to not win with the easiest way to win as Killer.
Someone who goes for Hooks will not really complain about 15 seconds of Endurance. I usually go for Hooks, but when I am in Endgame and 4 Survivors escape, because I played nice and did not tunnel, then I did exactly that - played nice instead of tunneling. Which then also lets me not complain about 15 seconds Endurance in Endgame, even if I camp in Endgame as well.

Well that argument doesn't really hold up much anymore cause I think the Grimoire killer is gonna be big and spider like with those spider legs.
They could bring a spider like killer like that Jurogumo people been talking about
The Killer is still humanoid and has the proportions of a humanoid Killer. But yeah, a hybrid Spider would be possible.
