Pinhead is the most annoying to go against for me. The Doctor and Freddy are also annoying. I like Dredge, but I've been playing a lot against him recently and nightfall has gotten pretty annoying.

I really don't know why maps are so light and sparse now. I know the 'stealth' aspect is downplayed, but having bushes wouldn't hurt with how prevalent auras are.
I truly think it was in large part because of the power of the Blendette haha (though too dark is a problem for both Killers and Survivors). But yeah, seeing this OG Coldwind makes me sad that the maps aren't this atmospheric anymore. They've gotten so much lighter than even when I started playing back in 2019.

Probably. There's also going to be, "Why the ######### aren't you doing anything?! Get on a gen!" or "Why are you on a totem when you should be on a gen!" The short-tempered people will probably be more enraged and do toxic things as a result, but that's mostly just sad for them. If they're that angry over a video game, they need to reassess some things.
But it also will, on the flip side, help a lot of Survivors out. And that's worth it, to me.

I hope you try it! If it's cooked properly, it's one of my favorite foods. When I make it, I boil the corned beef in water (it makes an absolutely delicious juice) with some carrots and cabbage (the way I do it, the carrots and cabbage get cooked, but don't turn to mush), and then I'll broil the top of the beef with a rub of mustard and brown sugar. It gives a really beautiful flavor. A lot of people also boil potatoes with the meat, carrots, and cabbage, but I prefer to cook them separately and mash them. Then you can spoon the juice over everything. It's perfection lol
If you have leftover meat, you can make a Reuben sandwich. You get some rye bread and add corned beef, some sauerkraut, a slice of Swiss cheese, and some thousand island (or Russian) dressing. Then you grill/toast it. It's good.

Unfortunately due to some... new dietary restrictions this year (grumble), my Xmas dinner was picking and pecking at some really good things my brother-in-law made (he likes to make different things each year, and 90% is vegetarian to accommodate us), none of which is described in the Google answer lol Cheesy Buffalo Hummus Dip, Mini Quiches, Breaded and baked ravioli, and I made deviled eggs as I do every Thanksgiving and Xmas to keep my late father-in-law's tradition alive <3
Ham is traditional for me, but I recently heard a lot of people say they eat a roast so I think I'll try that.
I absolutely love Thanksgiving food so I'd happily eat what you ate growing up lol

The big round things are Yorkshire puddings, a staple of any roast dinner in britain, pigs in blankets (the bacon wrapped sausages) are a must on Christmas, kinda overdid it on stuffing, roast potatoes are there too, and theres a good bit of turkey too
Oh that's what Yorkshire pudding is? Never knew! I've heard of it, of course, but never saw it. Your meal sounds delicious (and since stuffing is one of my favorite foods, I'm envious lol)

Oh wow, a roast sounds like a great idea. I've never had that for Christmas. Not sure where you'll be eating for Christmas, but it sounds like it'll be great no matter what.

Ultimately, it will depend on BHvr how they want to do things, but I hope this game will succeed.
Wow. That's an excellent point. I'm not really on social media, so I wasn't aware of the lack of chatter outside of the DBD community. They truly do have to have a great marketing campaign to draw in different fans. Maybe giveaways with big-time Twitch streamers who aren't (or aren't just) DBD players. But yes, even if it's a great game, it unfortunately won't matter if not enough people are aware of it. You need a great game and exposure. But as you also said, it can be so hyped that it quickly fizzles. I'm hoping it's great and that they market it smartly. Thanks for the reply!

I don't remember the number, but if it's the one I'm thinking of there's nothin you can do about it. Server side issue. Shouldn't cause any problems. Just gotta go on to the next match.
It boots me from loading into matches, or, I load in, I get auto DC'd a few minutes into the match. And then I get assessed a DC penalty.

And belive me, once you got your two 30mins DCs that are bearable full, you will 100% get a legit DC :)
For the people who genuinely want to DC, but want to work around this penalty, I could easily see them just going AFK instead. Sucks because this system can't detect an auto DC versus an intentional DC. So I'm getting screwed even though I genuinely want to play and am not DCing, and the people who rage quit have a workaround. :/

It does reset as far as I'm aware. The highest I think is 48 hours. Someone can correct me on it but I think that's the maximum. One minute for the first two (?) offenses and then five, then so on.
Yep. I don't DC, so I've never had to deal with this before. And unfortunately, troubleshooting why I'm getting automatically kicked with BHVR hasn't been any help :(

Also these real murders took place in 1990, which means the family members of the victims are probably still alive today, and i think that is bad that this character was made so soon.
Personally i don't think characters should be inspired this closely to real life serial killers. I get they need inspiration but they need to be careful not to honour them.
Killing is not cool it's just tragic at the end of the day.

That would be accurate. We want to keep alot of reality out of games (especially one involving hooking people violently like holiday decor, people can get WEIRD) but that's personal bias.
I agree. Personally, I would find it too disturbing to have a real person. I might be okay with someone very, very historical being in the game--but I'd prefer a fictionalized version of them (like Vlad the Impaler is really in the game as Dracula. So no real victims as Survivors, no historical accuracy about family, etc.).

Is it fair to say that even if it's from a thousand/hundreds of years ago, you still do not want a real serial killer being in DBD? So no Vlad the Impaler? But you would be fine with someone loosely based off of him being in the game?

When I contacted BHVR about it, they basically said, "Sorry, we know it's frustrating, but it's an automated system so there's nothing that can be done about it."
It's unfortunate that in addition to losing my blood points, offerings, and items, and having my challenge progress reset (nothing you do counts if you're DCd), I now also have a DC timeout penalty. I can't even try to play. Today, I managed to get to play two games. That's it. After that, auto DC came back and I got penalized.

He never gets a DC penalty when it happens so at the very least he can go into a new match right away. Only time it's happened to me (I'm on ps4 too) we both get kicked at same time so assume everyone else was kicked as well.
I wasn't getting any DC penalties for it either, but now I am. Thanks for the comment and info!

My swf teammate is on ps4 and it has been happening to him pretty often for like a month+ now. Last time was as I was opening the exit gate and he was standing next to me, would've escaped but nope, the game randomly kicked him. Has happened as he's being carried after he has been downed or midchase, he knows it's about to happen because all of a sudden he can't move/wiggle. Every time he can see the killers load out on the end game screen even though the match is still going - on his screen it says the killer DC'd too. I made a bug report here when it first happened to him.
Same! I'm also PS4. Contacted BHVR about it and went through some basic troubleshooting and nothing fixed it. This only happens with DBD. Really does seem like this is an actual issue on BHVR's end. I sincerely hope they fix this soon.

The only DC's I see is when Survivors magically disconnect when they go down in or pretend to camp them for 10 seconds.
Thanks for the link. I posted a bug report and contacted BHVR about it. I will say, I've gotten auto DC'd after having been downed by the Killer or even just hit. It looks like I'm rage DCing, but I'm not.

I am having the exact same problem. I keep getting disconnected from the host, either while loading in or in the middle of a game. I contacted BHVR, did all of their troubleshooting (which was basically just reinstalling the game and other, similar steps). Nothing worked. They basically said, "Sorry, it's probably your system." But this only happened recently, and it doesn't happen with any other game, and my internet is also fine.

I keep getting booted from games either while it's loading or in the middle of the game. I contacted BHVR and none of the troubleshooting worked. I've only managed to play a few games successfully. The overwhelming majority of them are auto DCs.

Kindred is something I almost always run. I, too, have noticed that the Killers aura no longer shows up--even if I am the hooked Survivor.

I've been getting manually DCd/kicked for days now. It is entirely possible that is what is happening in your games. And yes, it's also happened after a Killer interaction (like getting downed), so it appears like it's a rage quit when it's not. So even if it seems someone is intentionally rage-quitting, I'm now suspicious that they just got kicked.
(I have made a bug report about this).

Yesterday was even worse. Deathslinger downed me, and when he went to pick me up, the pickup animation froze of him trying to get me. I moved my camera around at different angles to see him (so I was not the one frozen). His locked animation spontaneously resolved itself and he tried to pick me up again. The same thing happened. As soon as he went to get me, the animation froze. I thought maybe he was bugged, but then the next thing I know, I was DCd. It must've looked like I rage quit on him.
I was only able to play 2-3 games yesterday. I kept getting DCd either in the game or while the game was loading. It was a total mess.

That's really weird. When I was playing against the Knight, I went to quickly tap a gen he had kicked, and I also got locked in the repair animation. Couldn't move. He came over to hit me and then it DCd me. No penalties for any of these DCs either, and I have lost my map offerings (when the DC happened during loading). What platform are you on?

This definitely isn't the buggiest release I've been a part of. Trickster and Twins were both worse. Legion was bad after people discovered Infinite Mend.
I don't know what is happening, but Trickster and Twins were nothing compared to this. I don't think it's my system because my issues are only with DBD. Ugh . . .
