I cannot play trapper who I main when there is literally survivors telling other survivors where my trap is so what's the point lmao and using the exploit that lets them pass traps that haven't been dismantled which bhvr isn't patching so yeah trapper is disabled against swf. Looking for a killer that destroys SWFs.
You mean holding the trap? My man this is not an exploit... It's in the game for years now, so we can assume it is an intended mechanic...

LoPro was fine before his entire kit was way overturned.
The fun of playing vs Billy was greeding pallets in a high risk/ high reward way where most tiles were 50/50 and the better player wins. Now it's just "drop the pallet or die if the Billy has a few hours of muscle memory. And also die anyway if he has LoPro or Thompsons Mix.
The longer curving window was way too much.
I wouldn't say the better player won against his weak version... It was more of a if the survivors knew what they were doing you were having a rough time...
The issue with lopro is that it puts you in lose lose situations, and while it's strength was fine with how weak Billy was I dislike the concept in general.

Billy was massively overbuffed and I'm tired of pretending he's still remotely fun to play against.
Well unlucky if you don't like him, I think he is still one of the most fun killers to play against in the game. And I would not say he was over buffed, although I will say that lopro should have never existed to begin with and is still bad addon design.

Played 15 games today, 3 against pig. On ALL my pig games they were placing traps and crouch following you until 1 trap sets off and you die, or 2 your bt runs out and she hooks.
In theory the timer should stop on chases but crouch following is not stopping the timer.
Suggestion: If pig is near an active trap survivor (12 - meters) for more than 15 seconds or 20 seconds. The timer should pause + stay still for half of the time you were being tunneled.
I would not even call that a nerf, since that is basically the most sub-optimal way to play pig xD

Given the history of add-on design in DBD I do not find that hard to believe at all my friend, look at Billy he has all those useless add-ons that reduce delay&decay speed on the saw when all you have to do is burp your saw quickly so there's no point an you're better off runing diff add-ons, I find it hard to believe someone looked at that and went we should make 4 of those but it happened.
Yeah sometimes you need to question whether or not they realise what a useless addon is and what not.

I don't think it's even supposed to be a meme add-on it was just poorly designed then forgot about, sure feels like one tho.
I mean to assume that it is not designed as a meme addons means not realising that nurses power is far better than being a 115% killer without a power ^^ And I find that hardly believable.

I want Myers to shine again. Myers is the most outdated killer in the game not receiving many changes to almost none at all. I really want to see him back on top one day.
So I came up with my on rework concept for him.
I want Myers to somewhat stay the same retaining his identity as pretty much the scariest killer in the game. So here are my changes (huge change incoming.)
Some changes.
- Add-on pass.
- Allow survivors to have infinite stalk for Myers to feed on because currently it seems like Myers is the only killer in the game that can actually lose his power or run out of the source of his power.
- Myers should be able to fully stalk to Tier 3 and activate it at will so there will be no more 99% stalking or accidental Tier 3 activating.
- This will be a bit controversial but I think Myers biggest rework should be allowing Myers to gain a Tier 4. (I'll explain)
Hear me out!
Allow Myers Tombstone piece add-on to be base-kit but in the form of a Tier 4.
(I know this is crazy overpowered right)
Again… hear me out!
Tier 3 can be activated on command, but Tier 4 is OPTIONAL.
This now becomes a very HIGH RISK, HIGH REWARD function.
Myers (players) can now choose to continue stalking pass Tier 3 and stalk to gain Tier 4 but this being a very powerful thing to do, there must be a high risk, high reward function here. The reward being killing off a survivor yes but it won't be so easy stalking up to Tier 4. Myers now takes longer stalking players (like iri add-ons long) and no add-ons can affect the speed 🚫. This is a high risk and what makes it optional. Another high risk is even if Myers gets to Tier 4 and kills a survivor, he will drop back to Tier 2 and will now have to repeat the process over. But another high risk will be that it takes Myers slightly longer to stalk back up to Tier 3 now.
The big reward is killing a survivor off.
The big risks here are very slow stalking speed, no stalking speed add-ons to help Tier 4 and you fumble back to Tier 2 with another penalty risk to your stalking speed.
I've even had an idea that seems a bit game breaking but what if Myers got a new Iri add-on. This Iri add-on will ONLY affect Tier 4. Once Myers makes it to Tier 4 with this Iri add-on in play, he will be allowed to get a second tombstone kill. But after the second kill Myers will fumble back down to Tier 1 for the remainder of the match. In a situation what if you don't get the second kill in the 60 seconds you are given? You will fumble back to Tier 2 unable to gain access to Tier 3 for the remainder of the match.
HIGH RISK, HIGH REWARD!
I've even thought of new add-ons for Tier 1 Myers.
New add-ons.
- Gain a normal lunge attack while in Tier 1.
- Gain 5% movement speed while in Tier 1.
This can be a fun way to make Myers a killer that has variety. Let him be played in different ways.
So this is my concept… (Can't wait for the rude replies)
Insta killing survivors should just not be in the game, this downside might sound nice on paper but it is not really, stalking someone is really simple, especially with no limit to it, just force the survivor into a low wall loop and stalk up to t4.
Also being stuck t1 for the rest of the trial is basically admitting defeat, you will never get a hit as t1 Myers in open maps, you cannot gain Bloodlust and survivors will just outrun you...

120 seconds? What? That would be so overkill, gens are fine at 90 seconds.
I'd be fine with longer gens if they were more interesting to do... More minigames and such...

I am sure that you all heard about the question “what is the most hated perk”, but what about the least hated one?
I am trying to come up with a killer build that involves perks that survivors don’t necessarily hate or consider toxic. To be more exact, what is the perk that you don’t mind being used by the killer or that you actually hope they are using?
Thanks a lot, people of the fog!☺️✌️
Do you mean least hated but decent perk or just not hated because it is so utterly useless the killer would be better off running nothing instead of that perk?

Although I've enjoyed the new Chaos game mode it has made it very apperant that there are not many killer sided perks that a 'worthless' and plenty of survivor sided ones that need a huge buff to be worth running.
In the spirit of discussion what killer perk have you gotten during the Chaos mode that you think was worthless and why? What could be done to it to make it better?
Also, objectively, do you agree or disagree that there are far more worthless survivor perks than killer perks and why?
Literally 30% of them... The most useless one probably being Predator and Bloodhound, for obvious reasons...

Nothing really to say, I have some opinions, and I feel like Lighting Round-ing them, so here we go
- Nurse is the closest thing to a fully legit cheat-engine you can have in DBD
- The STBFL nerf was completely pointless
- Anon mode was a mistake and serves no purpose that privating your profile and setting your messages to friends only didn't already serve
- A Monster Hunter chapter would be awesome
- All previous modifiers should be available in custom games
- Lerys and Hawkins are good and well designed maps that provide unique ways of playing survivor instead of just mindlessly looping the same 3 structures on every map
- GOJ and Disturbed Ward are terribly designed and should be reworked to be not have all of the safety on the map be in exactly one spot
- Skull Merchant isn't badly designed, y'all just suck at countering her
- Blackwater Swamp should be burnt to the ground
- We need more killers that break the humanoid template, gimme more monsters and 4-legged creatures, not more humans or human-adjacent killers
- Trickster should have a DIO skin
- There is quite literally zero incentive in actually winning a match of DBD, the fake SBMM that is actually a slot machine in disguise just managed to gaslight y'all into tryharding and making yourselves miserable
- Most of the skyboxes and invisible walls just need to go away, there is zero reason I shouldn't be allowed to launch myself off the GOJ or Thompson House main buildings with Shred
- Bring back Spacebilly (A cold one, I know, but still, thought I'd mention it)
- Wesker should be able to launch himself off of high places like Demo can, maybe then I'd actually feel something playing him
- Raccoon City or the Mansion from RE1 would have been much better maps then RCPD
- TTVs are not nearly as toxic or showboaty as some of you think, and even if they are, who gives a #########, nobody forces you to engage with them once the match is over
- Maining a killer or maining a perk build is really silly, since you are limiting how many different ways you can play DBD
- A Mimic killer would fit into DBD perfectly if they're given more tools besides just mimicking survivors (Another cold one, but I'm mentioning it anyway)
- Rapid Brutality is a good perk on a lot of killers, mainly Singularity and Clown
- A Warhammer Fantasy chapter would be better then a Warhammer 40k chapter, I am completely biased, Skaven forever, yes-yes
And finally
22. Weaving Spiders is a good perk, even before the buff its getting in the DnD patch
G'night
- Nurse is a fine killer, people just lack coordination/skill/knowledge on how to beat her
- Basically nobody runs the perk anymore, but they went a bit too far by doing both things, less cd decrease and losing stacks whenever obsession loses a health state.
- Perhaps? I only don't like it because you cannot report people's steam profile for cheats and what not.
- I don't think it would fit thematically... Unless ofc you want nothing but cosmetics.
- Obviously there should be custom game modes, the possibility to create such modes yourself and none of it should be time limited.
- Hawkins is an atrocity with a literal infinite and 30 unsafe pallets that can work when pre dropping and running around the part of the room it connects to, I don't think it is a well designed map as it suffers many issues indoor maps suffer in general. Lerys just spawns ridiculous window setups and has the same indoor map issues as always. I much prefer outdoor maps.
- Too strong main buildings are not limited to those two maps, but I agree that those two main buildings are an issue.
- Fully depends on which version, the current one maybe, although she is still one of the most unfun killers in the game to go against.
- Swamp does indeed have some issues namely dead zones too strong structures at one place, the size and many more... But I think it could be made decent with changes.
- Both are fine and the visuals really don't matter as much as the gameplay of the character.
- I could not care less about skins.
- True, if the mmr was visible people could at least aim towards the top, but currently there is just no reason to want to win the match except for the win itself...
- Agreed, bad enough to get stuck on things you see invisible walls are just unnecessary.
- Agreed, and probably not a hot take at all.
- Sure, why not.
- Can't really comment on that, but if those were not indoor maps then most likely.
- Perhaps for content, but not as persons I guess...
- I mean it only says you play mostly one killer and that is fine, however it is not really an argument for anything… it does not necessarily say your opinion is more valid than others who don't "main" a killer.
- I guess?
- On singularity not, because the majority of time gets eaten up by teleport, attack cooldown and so on, on Clown however Ai agree.
- Don't really care as long as the gameplay is good. However most 40 K characters are probably too big to fit the sizes of playable characters... And would therefore need to be shrunk down, which would be silly.
- I don't know about that, but that's just a debatable topic and not really a right or wrong thing.

Sorry for the rant but somebody please explain to me why, after 8 years, this damn map can still spawn three open windows in the main building? Good survivors will abuse the ######### out of these awful windows and you’re almost guaranteed to lose if these windows spawn in the right setting.
It’s beyond me how there can still be god windows in this game. You may think that’s the only instance of this egregious oversight, but there’s many more. Exhibit B: Mother’s Dwelling main window under the stairs pretty much has no counter play for M1s. I just don’t get why these still haven’t been addressed when it’s a matter of changing a few values.
How hard can it be???
Chapel is a great map otherwise, but this window is just so busted...

I had a Croatian friend that played overwatch and he told me he much preferred playing on NA servers because there was so little communication on EU servers due to language barriers.
Even outside of EU on DBD I've run into many Mexican and South American players that speak no English post game. It's definitely not true all younger people know English.
Also even ignoring the increased toxicity that would come with VC you inadvertently make DBD harder to balance than it already is. Because if you put all survivors on potential SWF level then you'd need to buff killer accordingly (Hexes for example would probably need to be reworked at that point because they'd be nearly unusable if one person knowing the location meant everyone did) but then they'd be too strong for teams that don't use the VC. I just think that even besides the toxicity DBD has never been balanced around VC so while adding the technology would be easy enough it would have a ton of unintended consequences.
It's kind of alright now with discord as 4 mans are fairly rare and it's mostly two duos or a duo and two solos in a game but if it was technically a 4 man every single game I think it would cause far more problems than people realize.
Obviously not all, but the vast majority in Europe does.
I would say it would be easier to balance, because you don't have two groups of players anymore (swf and solo) so you can take that into account to begin with.
I don't think they would be too strong, you could still just ping them or write in text chat, like I said, best case scenario is we get all 4 things.
It would need to be rebalanced around it for sure, but I don't think that is an issue.

Except we know how pointless VC is because let's use overwatch as an example a game with VC that allows you to opt out.
My understanding is everyone in bronze and silver has VC off then gold and plat it's a bit more common to have it on then diamond and above everyone turns it off again especially in EU where not everyone speaks English. Reasons for this is generally to avoid toxicity and general introvert behavior or in the EU case it's kinda pointless cuz people can't communicate anyway.
So take DBD a community that in my experience is especially sensitive to toxicity and I think it's extremely likely 50%+ of players would turn it off effectively turning it off for the remainder making the entire thing pointless.
People only actually want to be in VC with their friends and we already have discord for that.
How do you assume that people in the EU don't speak the same language? Basically everyone younger than 50 speaks english in europe? I have played with dutch, belgian, italian, spanish, polish and other people and they all spoke english… At least in europe there really is not a language barrier, as basically everyone speaks english…
I think turning it on or off is just a thing of personal preference, I don't think it has anything to do with rank… Like when I play dota with friends some of them use the voice chat for communication, I prefer to write in the text chat, but we all have it enabled, and dota can be assumed to be far more toxic than this games community, and still all the stuff people warn about has never happened to me or my friends, no screaming and ear blasting, as everyone knows they will just mute you 2 seconds later, so why even try… And players you once muted stay muted, it is a fairly simple concept but effective.
Well we only ever know if they develop the feature and go for a test run, and then they can see how or if it gets used, I don't think it is too hard to implement considering every even horribly bad free to play shooter tends to have a voice chat… So the ressources spend should be not too much…
"People only actually want to be in VC with their friends and we already have discord for that."
Well kind of, but that's kind of twisting the purpose… The reason people want to be in a voice chat with their buddies is to talk while playing the game, not necessarily about the game, but just in general… However that's not the purpose of the voice chat… You're not sitting there starting communication… You make callouts, there will be games where there is just nothing to say and other where you make calls… Just like in dota for example… For example in dbd:
he has perk x, hex perk over there, he is camping, I'm going for unhook, don't finish x gen or we will be 3 gen'ed , reset at x , just run I will take a hit, x pallet dropped, don't go there it is a deadzone and so on… It is not about having a chat or bonding with those randoms, but if you wanted you could which is great, but about being able to give necessary information to your team and I think it would work perfectly fine for it. You could surely try to get other stuff to not have to use voice chat, for example text chat, a ping system a chat wheel and what not… But the most usefull thing would always be voice chat, because you can use it without the need to stop playing, whereas all those other features at least to some degree take your attention and your hands away from the game. At best we get all of them, just like basically any other game out there has it anyway… I will never understand why it is such a big deal to have basic functions in this game… -

BECAUSE PEOPLE WERE COMPLAINING ABOUT THESE CHANGES IN 7.6.0 PATCH NOTES AND THEY WANTED FULL OLD GLASSES AT BASE KIT TO ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO RUN DIFFERENT ADD-ONS… Don't response to that because it's like talking with a wall.
The point of those changes was mostly to get the 10% in that got changed in the basekit changes like a few years ago.. 6.1.0 or what it was… So why would we put the full value in? You have different options, just because barbs glasses is the best one does not mean you should just remove the whole thing… Also nothing of what you said explains to not just buff it further and implement current barbs glasses into base kit… 10% of 1.8 should lead to a buff more than 1.7 right?
Dude just express yourself more clear… As your texts were kind of misleading. Sometimes you were reffering to changes made years ago and then again to current ones…Makes it hard to follow.
Also you always have options, the question is only what is the best option and you will always have a best addon, well maybe not for Oni or so, or Blight before his reworks, those addons were pretty much decent all across the board.

I genuinely don't understand what survivor's gain out of teabagging on exit gate, hatch, etc. even when they didn't even escape clean, instead, for example of my last game, being on second hook, it's not something that's gonna make me uninstall the game and start crying about, just don't understand the purpose or the gain, "Do you want a cookie?"
Because BM and trash talking can actually be fun. For example in a game like dota when you gank someone and after you killed them you just put the "?" in chat and then he tries to go for you and will most likely do the same and that way some fun little interaction starts happening ^^ I actually made friends through doing that and it was hillarious :D
Sure there are also people who do it just to annoy the other side…

Just a small issue I have with nurse add-ons the spasmodic breath is basically a nerf that takes away your power for 60s, I feel like this could have niche uses if the "cooldown" wasn't so long so I'm suggesting lowering the time this add-ons active to around 20 or 30s this would still let you commit to playing a tile but not frustratingly lock you out of your power.
I know nurse is super strong and not top priority but I'm tired of having 60+ useless green add-ons just loitering in my Inv alongside nurses other 2 challenge add-ons.
I guess it is supposed to be a meme addon. But yeah, the thing is pretty useless… Nurse basically has 3+ meme addons.

Right, so even they think its a competitive game.
These people screaming "party game" are trying to hold onto something that isn't real. DbD is a competitive game.
I think those reviews are from the beginning of the game… Where people did not know looping and the game had real infinites… There is no way that a game with as much rng as DBD can be considered competitive… Even comp needs to do so much to make the game somewhat competitive and cannot fully negate some things.

Kind of yes, but then again by not implementing the full thing now and instead removing it, are you not just taking away the option to take the addon? And it still does not really explain why you don't put in the whole value of current barbs glasses.

Source of that data?
@Peanits said:
Earlier this week, we asked you what statistics you would like to see. Since then, we have collected data on some of the most popular requests and designed some fancy graphics for them. There are a few things to note:
- This data does not include the recent PTB.
- Data involving rank was collected shortly before a rank reset (April 1st to April 7th).
- These are very general statistics, so use caution before drawing any conclusions.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/719/CPIDC1XE8JBT.jpg
Average Party Size
This is the overall average, between all ranks and platforms, of how many other Survivors players are queuing up with. More than half of the total Survivors are playing solo, while only 3-6% are playing in a full Survive With Friends group. This is based on the group size out of the total number of matches.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/771/II0BH5BS6HP0.jpg
Party Size Survival Rate
This is the average chance of Survival per Survivor depending on the size of the Survive With Friends group they are playing in. This is an average between all ranks on all platforms.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/270/X1L1JQEBEOMA.jpg
Survival Rate by Rank
This graph shows the average rate of survival per Survivor at any given rank, per platform. Please note: The data collected is using your rank after the match, so players who depipped from rank 1 down to rank 2 would appear as rank 2 for our purposes. This is likely the reason why you'll notice a large gap between the survival rate of rank 1 and rank 2: Players who survived were more likely to pip and maintain their rank, while those who died were more likely to depip and lose their rank.
This data was also collected between April 1st and April 7th, after the pipping thresholds were originally changed but before they were later tweaked to be more forgiving for Survivors. Because of that, the statistics at this rank are from a small sample size consisting solely of the best players that could maintain rank 1 with the strict pipping conditions.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/198/WJGATDU9GIYC.jpg
Average Game Length
This graph shows the average game length at any given rank for each platform. This is the time from the start of the match until the final Survivor either escapes or is sacrificed.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/103/8BOLFYNH0D9I.jpg
Most Popular Killer by Rank
This chart shows which Killer is the most popular depending on rank, per platform. For example, on PC from rank 1-4, nurse is the most popular Killer, while Hillbilly tends to be more popular from rank 5-12. The highest overall usage for any Killer at a given rank is the Nurse at rank 1, coming in at 22.39%.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/398/4A494UUNC0WZ.jpg
Highest and Lowest Kill Rates
This chart shows the deadliest (yellow) and least deadly (red) Killers per platform. These stats are an average for all ranks. Since there are four Survivors, a 50% kill rate equates to two Survivors escaping and two Survivors dying.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/928/2YVQMEWUS0KN.jpg
Most Used Perks (Survivor)
This chart shows the most popular Survivor perks based on rank ranges between all platforms. We decided not to display ranks 13-20 as they tend to be more random (newer, lower ranked players tend to use whichever perks they have rather than picking what they want specifically). The numbers displayed are the percentage that perk is used of all perks used at that rank.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/781/T8VE1J9V3G07.jpg
Most Used Perks (Killer)
This chart shows the most popular Killer perks based on rank ranges between all platforms. Like the Survivor perks above, we decided not to show ranks 13-20. The number displayed are a percentage of the total perks used at that rank range.
Is there something that confuses you? Maybe you'd like to know a more precise number on one of these stats? I'll be doing a live Q&A in the official Dead by Daylight Discord server tomorrow at 2PM EST.
If you are not in the Official Discord server, you can join here: https://discord.gg/549m9NT

Considering this possibly the newest set of data on that matter we can either see this as a direction or just blind guess..

Yes MMR means it is not a party game, but sometimes there are games that are not party games that do not have MMR.
Well I would say you are wrong in both parts… Because A. even before it had mmr it had a different way of measuring skill and putting people of similar skill together, which is technically nothing else than mmr, it is just not a number but a rank, and it had different things that were relevant.
B. I honestly don't know how party games work when it comes to matchmaking… So let's say you play whatever partygame… TCM or Mario Party or whatever… How does the matchmaking decide who gets paired with who?
I would differ between competetive and party game by looking at how much rng is involved… If we look at competetive games as a whole they really focus on player skill and mechanics and try to negate RNG as much as possible. In that sense for example dota 2 got rid of some % chances and made it every x hit, that fall under the category of competetive game. However DBD really does not do that, the game has so many RNG heavy factors that just turn the game into the complete opposite direction just because you got unlucky: Skill check when leaving the gen, 4% on hook, map RNG and so on and so forth, based on those I would say DBD is not a competetive game but goes rather in the category of party game.

Idk if "we should add this feature so everyone can turn it off" is the own you think it is.
The great things about having options is that it is up to you to use them... You can set the graphics how you want them, the key binds and so on... I doubt everyone would just turn it off, but we would see that. If you are free to disable it, and it therefore does not change your experience it is hard to argue against other people wanting it or wanting to use it... I mean it is fine if you don't want something, does not mean I should be prevented from using it because of that.
Another example would be someone wanting mini games instead of skill checks when doing gens... It is hard to argue against it when you can just toggle between both in the options menu.

I play both killer and survivor and I agree with you. The wiggle time is too long. You have to hit 21 successive skill checks, and even when you do, if they have iron grasp I think it's like 25? It's nuts! They should either lower the amount or implement a gimmie - ie if you're at 19 successful skills checks and the killer is not right next to a hook, they should let you get the wiggle. It used to be faster in the old system and they really increased it too much if you ask me. It's even worse when you hit 21, but the killer already started the animation to hook you so you don't break free.
Those skill-checks might as well not exist considering how easy they are to hit, so I don't think counting skill checks is a fair measurement... Overall the killer has like 10-15 seconds or so to hit you before you wiggle out, that is somewhat fair in my opinion. Considering the other option would make you not being able to hook people when they go down at specific spots.

The survivors can stand in front of the flamethrower and literally stick their face inside the barrel of it and stand there and nothing happens to them , so it doesn't seem like that
Because it is not supposed to affect them... Same as survivors not being able to be pallet stunned... The rocket launcher on the other hand is supposed to affect them... I mean if we brought that amount of logic into it every single weapon in the game should do more than just put them on the floor... Especially the chainsaws... And jumping through upstairs windows and dropping 15 m would probably also instantly kill them.

Old Barb's Glasses were decreasing cooldown by 15% and base breaking speed was 2 seconds. OLD I meant OLD not a recent one in the game.
OK, and why did you not take the current version? So another 10% off of 1.8 seconds break speed?

They changed Breaking Speed in Patch 6.1.0 that's why…
Not really... You would think 30% of the value subtracted would lead to the remaining pallet break time, but for some reason that is not how it is calculated...

Literally the last thing anybody needs is getting their eardrums blown out by some 15 year old screaming into the mic to unhook them while the killer is still carrying them to the hook. No thank you.
There is this awesome magic spell called "mute button" have you heard of it?
-
@SoGo said:
I don't need to lose my ears because someone decides it will be funny to scream into the mic.
Another thing, half of the players won't use it anyway.
There is this awesome function called mute... Also 50 % of people using a feature sounds great... How many people use higher fov? Also what percentage of potential usage does a feature need for you to deem it worthy to implement?

I recently recorded myself playing for the first time & played as I normally would. When I watched it back, I realized that I was yapping to myself the whole time, making random noises, & singing to the Entity to send me skill checks while I was doing gens. I'd feel so bad for any teammates if proximity chat was real, hahaha
Don't use open mic but push to talk then... If that's your only concern xD

OK, I just bought blight and overall I'm having fun, but the gliding is annoying. Is their some hidden trick ti using the gliding to my advantage. Cause it seems like every wall u hit I glide.. And also, what kinda build should i use with blight?
What do you mean you glide? Do you mean you cannot bump into things? Just look at it from a slight angle... He basically bumps into everything since they changed collision.

doing gens is easy, and kinda boring, the chase is the heart of the game right? so why dont we make it so gens cant be worked on right away, and need a type of resource before repairing, could be gears, gasoline, power cords, etc.
some gens would just need 1-2 requirements and survivors need to scavenge the map for those parts, some could spawn in basement, or corners of the map, near lockers, and take the resource back to the gen, but since it would take time to look for and find the parts doing the actual gen would take maybe 20-30 seconds. (numbers can be adjusted) the parts would have multiple spawn points so killers cant protect the parts.
more items could be introduced to help out, or reworked. maps can show potential locations, keys could unlock a part behind a cage, etc. the goal is to make survivor feel like actual survival, while the killer is doing their thing. is this too drastic of a change?
or it could even be a game mode. thoughts?
Could work, but would need severe Rebalancing, probably better as a seperate game mode.
Overall I would prefer gens to just have a different mini game instead of skill checks, just something you can do while doing gens that is a bit more entertaining...

Nemesis cannot have his rocket launcher because of the reason that "it would not fit the theme of the game" but when you play against xenomorph you can have literally flamethrowers firing at him ? Give nemesis a rocket launcher that downs survivors that he directly hits and damages survivors for one health state near the explosion's radius . After one-two vaccines used , nemesis can receive a single shot rocket launcher that he can use , he is slowed while aiming and has an aiming animation simmilar to deathslinger . (If xeno can have literall walls of fire firing at him , nemesis can have his most iconic weapon)
If something as generic as a rocket launcher is his most iconic weapon that is kind of sad to hear... Well that aside, there is a difference between the killer getting hit by stuff like that or the survivors I think the argument was that it would be ridiculous to hit them with a rocket launcher and all it does knock them down.

What never made any sense to me is that all his traps unarmed, and he starts with so few at the start of the trial…
I propose a buff. All his traps are armed at the start of the trial.
Then rework all of his add ons again. The new odd ons determine where his traps are randomized across the map.Add ons on make more traps spawn around the main building, killer shack, exit gates, or hooks. Closest/Farthest from trapper. Closer/Farther from obsession, etc.
I don't know about that... Not only can you not tell which traps are in a good spot, but you also don't know which are the ones you did not place to begin with... Seems less like a buff and more like an annoyance... I'd rather have so he either spawns with all of them, or he can grab them out of lockers, so he does not need to go to the end of the world to pick up traps anymore.

This is fake ( image edited )
It looks nice and could be a new way for tracking indoors instead of crows... Maybe you could set off something else that gives off a noise notification however I feel like it would make the game probably perform somewhat worse so I don't know...

Hug tech is not a part of this conversation, don't try and bring it up because it has nothing to do with what I am about to say.
Blight feels just terrible to play since his collision changes which again I am pretty sure they just hard amped his primary collision and removed the secondary collision although I could be very wrong.
I can't pre-turn 2 degrees in the middle of a 4-lane wall without colliding. I can't get close to anything even slightly jank. Regardless of hug tech it's not only worse than before but feels WAY worse. I'd rather play around no collision again than the current iteration.
Imagine if on billy or bubba you didn't maintain a 90 degree angle while sawing for the collision you were playing around, you instantly got tantrum/stunned. IMAGINE if on survivor you got stuck for looping tightly against a flat wall, how awful would that feel?
I'm pretty sure they lazily "fixed" blights collision instead of actually fixing it, they couldn't figure out how to keep it somewhat the same(hug tech is yet again irrelevant on this point) so they just amped collision registration numbers by a lot.
I've been over killer(nothing to do with killer powerlevel obviously) for a while but this just seals the deal, especially knowing it'll never get changed. I'm not saying blights bad whatsoever but they did what I absolutely didn't want them to do and ruined the fluidity of the killer. I didn't care about add-ons getting changed, I expected them to get severe nerfs since I picked him up, I knew at some point the hug tech would be patched and accepted it even though it only provided a higher level of interactivity in a interactivity deprived pvp game, I just didn't want him to feel like junk which he does now.
Killer is pretty much dead for me now and survivor's barely holding on with the free leave button still existing.
Felt the same for me, before you had some tiles with weird collision where you bumped for no apparent reason, but now it is basically every tile that works that way...

Saying that "a large part of the community is playing with exactly 3 people in a premade" is probably not true. Do you have any proof of that?
They gave out data about that quite some time ago I think... Fully depends on what you call large...

Right, so those people are wrong. If a game is using MMR, then by definition it is not a party game.
So was DBD a party game before mmr?

Chucky comparable to spirit blight nurse? Are you talking about PTB because that sounds absurd he's a pretty bad killer outside having potential free hits every 18s.
That is pretty comparable to Spirit don't you think? People even argued for him to be up at this level before the current PTB changes…

If something makes someone feel uncomfortable, it's a valid thing to point out. Not justifying it ignores the reality that people have different reactions to what it's supposed to mean. If a number of people see it as a joke, that doesn't mean it's okay or acceptable.
I got an answer here, you can move on.
The point is though, we don't need to justify anything… You need to justify the restriction of making it a bannable offense, or reportable to begin with. Since we don't advocate for a change, why would we need to justify anything?
Many things can make people uncomfortable, but usually that is something that is up to those people to take care of themselves, of course that changes when it comes to behaviour from other people, but there will always be a limit of behaviour you will need to tolerate, despite it making you feel uncomfortable, and bm in video games is one of them.
Well it is certainly okay or acceptable for the people who think it is a joke, and that is just as valid as an opinion as your who states the opposite… After all it is just a game and the actions presented don't resemble anything bad… unlike all the horrid things that is done to the survivors in their moris and what not…

Taking it into RL is so childish. But i guess no sense of right and wrong.
But isn't the whole argument of the pro side that it resembles a RL gesture…. And now it is childish?

Its not a matter of perception. Its a matter of meaning.
We don't punish ill intent, we punish an action… Otherwise you might as well report people for calling gg because the meaning was clearly meant as an insult for the other sides play…

I dont care whatveer person it says. They think thats the deal and everybody can see the resemblence of this action. Its trying to harassment, there is nothing to discuss. If you think you can excuse such behaviour, its up to you. But we live in 2024.
Well the resemblance is just really not there… It is really far fetched to make anything else out of it than some silly immature bm gesture… Yes we do live in 2024, where we apparently get offended over everything now… The year is not an argument to reason that something with no resemblance whatsoever to a real life gesture is supposed to be a banable offense.

You did? 1.8-1.7 is 15% ? Is this one of these weird bhvr calcuations again similar to how gen speed works?
As for what I meant with that… Apparently the break speed increase also suffers the same weird calculations… According to the wiki:
