Yes, it’s real. It’s a current tome challenge. I’ve never seen anyone point after a stun before and I doubt it’s very common at all. Because usually people hope to stun and buy more time before they go down.
I do it sometimes. Either to get them to commit to chase or its gloating. After which is followed by a "You little poo" by the killer. Me in this instance lol. Makes some people salty.

Idk. I mean in that case, stunning the killer in the first place is bm because you caused them pain and more time. There really are players that take stuns personally whether its from head on, pallets, power struggle, DS etc.
Pallet stuns are actual gameplay lmao. Pointing is added for salt. Idk how you correlate the two. Its ok that they pointed and bmed. I'm 100% ok with it. Surely you're just kidding

There is a challenge to point at the killer after a stun. but it happens so often there is no way 90% of the people are doing it
What really? Thats hilarious. I havent gotten to it yet then

I know there is a challenge for that, but even then there is no way in telling.
but I will def Bm. as revenge for Bming.
don't know why there angry.
Guess They don't like the taste of there own medicine
A challenge for what?

@Quizzy said:
Is pointing really bm? Now i understand tbagging. But i usually say come here when i stun or throw pallet because im asking to be chased more. Not to be mean. But i guess everyone interpret things differently i suppose
Pointing during a stun? How is that not bm? Its like haha take that. I do it sometimes too

I'm not? I run into it a lot actually. I thought it was funny so I shared

I can confirm that it has happened after every match for the whole day. 100% survivor before nothing after. It comes back after restarting the game. around 15 matches today I'm done restarting it I'm going to go touch grass now lol fix your game

To be fair, I think one reason they are ok with one click on the challenges and want the bloodweb to take a moment to finish is because if you misclick on a challenge you can undo it but if you misclick on the bloodweb you can’t.
That said I’m not against one-click bloodweb picks being an option you can turn on.
Easy fix, make it a feature you can turn off in menu

thanks will do

No I checked the last page. How would I know I had year 5 cakes on some if i didnt?

I play any killer and find them early its an auto dc. On first down its a 50/50

The game is unplayable at the moment because of the dcs. Every game there is one. Not an overexaggeration. Yes thank god its on what a horrible take.

No, because they're limited time only.
Meaning they're seriously about to start doing this to us, because why in the world would they be limited time only if they would still be available later for shards? What's the point of removing them?
I really hope there's just some clarification to do here.
Its to make some money for giving players early access to a cosmetic. Which I'm ok with so long as we get a chance to get them later. It would be an unbelievably douchy move to just make them a timed exclusive

yes the thing murdering the people in the trial should be feared. I think its dumb that survivor mains think that the killer needs to be their plaything.

Looked over the recent streams from this year.
Nothing like this in sight.
What, specifically are you talking about?
A timestamp would be helpful.
NOTE: I'm specifically talking about the 'MMR hell' you claimed they acknowledged and declared were fixing.
What part of i dont remember are you confused about? That places us on even footing. If you want to find it then go look for it. I heard what I heard but it was awhile ago so I dont remember where it was from. Dont want to take my word for it? Dont. I dont care. Dont believe me? also dont care. Im not trying to convince you of anything. For all we know they backpedaled on it like they do with a bunch of the stuff they talk about. I hope they are working on it still.

I was curious about the acknowledgement and 'fix coming down the pipeline' for this issue. Where did you get that from?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3221923#Comment_3221923
That seems to be most areas now. I see it just as much on Otz's streams as I do at my own likely intermediate MMR.
Even if this were true, you'd hit a point where killers are bottom MMR too.
@legacycolt said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3221636#Comment_3221636
What is the fix down the pipeline you were talking about?
It was a stream earlier this year where they said they were going to integrate how much you contribute to the team into considering the impact on your mmr. So if you carry the whole match and die on first hook saving the team it wouldn't be strictly considered a loss as it is now. Sorry i dont remember which stream but I think it was around the big patch where they reworked a bunch of perks.
This fix would prevent bad teams from holding your mmr down since escaping is a team effort. It would also incentivize more altruistic plays in the endgame.
-
@StarLost said:
You probably have a high-ish MMR on killer and a low MMR on survivor.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3221636#Comment_3221636
What fix...where?
There is no such thing as 'low MMR hell'. Unless the SBMM system breaks down (lobby dodges cause this to happen), you should be getting an opponent that you have a 50% chance of escaping against.
In the comment you responded to I gave an example of low mmr hell. You not understand what im saying or disagree?
-
You keep "losing" because you keep being paired up with bad teammates. When escaping 100% is a team effort. No matter how good you are if your team cant play right you will lose. Thus giving you more potatoes. Low MMR hell. Luckily the devs have a fix down the pipeline for it.
You keep getting better teams when you play killer because winning is more in your hands. So If you are even remotely good at killer eventually you will reach top mmr and face the sweat squads. It makes the game kind of unfun but once you understand the bs its easier to not get so mad about it.
Its up to the devs to fix it. My suggestion is to make your effort on the team count towards survivors "winning" and raise the soft cap on mmr
-
ITs all legal stuff. I guarntee if they could have gotten all those characters they would have, but we got 2 final girls in Laurie Strode and Cheryl Mason
-
Yes I just watched it. Ive been a fan for like 20ish years and its up there with the first 2 for me. It would have had an argument for best if it wasnt so slow and there was more meaningful horror/action in it. I think it had the best hellraiser plot.

There might have been a bug in the opposite direction then? That or I'm just confused on what they were going for. I made it a point to get all characters to P3 level 50 which got them to Prestige 9 before the prestige system rolled out. During ptb all of my characters were P11. Then they pulled it back to 9 on release. I thought they were going to give me more levels based on the fact that I got them all to lvl50 too?

Perhaps you should bring a perk like Bloodwarden to prevent that escape?
Perhaps you could hook them further away from the exit gates?
Perhaps the Survivor doesn't 4% off the hook leading to their death the majority of the time?
Your OP wreaks of entitlement.
Whatever dude lots of what ifs. If they beat me proper id have less of an issue with it. End of the day I got my last down and hook I earned that. Base game mechanics took it away seems like hand holding to me.

I'm not mentioning about the ''free escape'' situation, I'm mentioning on why your idea isn't healthy.
I don't think you understand what I'm trying to state, if they had to waste a perk slot for Borrowed Time JUST to have counterplay to an endgame camping/tunneling killer, then that wouldn't be a good idea, as your idea stated that base kit Borrowed Time should be disabled in endgame, again not a good idea. The killer can instantly go back for the unhooked survivor and down them with no penalty, as DS or Off the Record are disabled.
You shouldn't have to run perks just to have counterplay in some situations when the killer is camping or tunneling during endgame, it's like you having to run Iron Will verse pre nerf Spirit to have counterplay.
While I do somewhat agree 10 seconds BT during endgame wasn't a good idea at all when they were releasing it back then, making survivors have NOTHING for them during endgame unless you waste a perk slot for Borrowed Time, that is never going to be balanced.
The survivors do have something in endgame. Its to not get caught or prep for that situation aka earn your escape. I dont get why you feel that the survivors having something to hold their hand in endgame and the killer nothing is ok. So the killer should just be robbed of their kill by default by your logic.

The only scenario I can think of like that is hooking outside a gate. Which is something a killer has control over, by not hooking close to a gate (assuming your not going against a sabo squad or hook RNG ######### you over). One change I would like to make to the basekit BT is for the survivor to lose collision so they can't body block for their teammate. That would make it easier to secure trades during endgame.
I still think it shouldnt be an auto loss even in that situation. With previous people I thought of the idea of making BT active in endgame but not base kit. So at the very least they have to bring a perk to get that kind of an escape
-
@Tizzle said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3216308#Comment_3216308
You want to flip flop the situation by disabling BT in the end game so the Survivor has zero chance of escape just the same as when DS was not disabled and granted a free escape?
This is the exact reason why this was a terrible idea in the first place, the idiots then seem to think everything needs to be disabled in end game.
The game gave them an unearned unfought for escape. If you take away the killers ability to fight for the last kill it is unfair. As I said to someone before I would be more ok with BT being able to be active in endgame, but not base kit. If they used a perk to do it thats fine. So long as its not an 80 sec or 60 sec window.
-
@Spirit_IsTheBest said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3216323#Comment_3216323
So, your point is that they have to waste a perk slot to actually have counterplay during endgame tunneling/camping? If they decided not to bring BT, then what can they do? I find your idea to be ridiculous.
Its ridiculous for a survivor to earn an escape with their build and skill but not ridiculous that with no perks they are granted a free escape? What logic is that?
-
@SpaghettiVase said:
Why do you think you’re owed even a chance at escape?
You're wrong its more like "Why do you think you're owed a second chance to escape after losing the match?" Because they already had a chance with hatch
-
@Spirit_IsTheBest said:
So, the survivors have a chance to get away from a camping killer, it wouldn't be fair if survivors had nothing, if they didn't have anything the killer would instantly go back for the unhooked survivor. Now if were talking about the perk ''Borrowed Time'' then it should be disabled in endgame, 20 seconds is too much for endgame. But if were talking about the 10 second base kit endurance, it should stay active at any point in the trial, gives the survivors a chance but makes it fair for killers.
Yet it requires nothing on the survivors end? nah. I would be more ok with Borrowed Time being able to be active in endgame if base kit is not. At least then a perk had to be brought in to get that survivor out. Instead base game hand held the person out the door. Which is dumb
-
@VideoGameMage said:
Basekit BT has better counterplay than OTR and DS did in endgame scenarios. Only time I feel basekit BT is un-counterable is when the survivor is unhooked right beside an open gate, which you really shouldn't be hooking next to a gate in the first place, if you can help it. Hooking further away from a gate at least gives you a chance to force a trade.
Yes but in scenarios where killers are unable to do so it shouldnt be treated as an automatic loss
-
@Tizzle said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3216261#Comment_3216261
What you're lobbying here for is the exact reason why DS and OTR were disabled in the end game.
How can you not understand that?
DS and OTR taken away in the end game was because theres nothing the killer can do in endgame to stop it. So it grants free escapes. Which Basekit BT does, so why is it active in endgame?

A killer should be able to secure the kill in end game period.
But.. why? If they've been unable to secure the kill throughout the rest of the match, why should they be able to guarantee it just because they downed someone at the easiest point in time to do so (as the later into the match it gets, the less resources there are to work with)?
There's an argument about a permanent imbalance at high levels of play which I agree with, but that's not the fault of BT in endgame and that's completely the fault of imbalanced maps, healing speeds, awful generator regression, and potentially the wonderful Hyperfocus Combo:tm: to delete generators.
So, why should you be able to secure the kill in endgame. Why should you be guaranteed a death simply for getting a down, when there are three hook states for a reason. Why shouldn't the survivor be entitled to a free escape by that logic- after all, the killer should earn the kill by downing them earlier to eat through hook states, or down them in a better place on the map to hook them away from the exit gate. Not just get the kill for free.
The entire argument just reeks of a double standard, and I hate it. The whole concept of free escapes and free kills is massively iffy and there's absolutely better arguments that can be made as opposed to "they should have to earn it so I don't have to earn it" and vice-versa. For instance, "RPD is a terribly designed map, particularly with the killer I was playing, and combining this with the 4% and overall feeling of powerlessness that came from the entire situation was demoralising, can we please nuke RPD further and fix the most imabalanced things to extend the middle of the games for longer".
(and again, this isn't to do with basekit UB which I think is a genuinely terrible idea and not at all needed. i know you said nothing about it in this comment but i also know these forums and would like to make my stance on it crystal clear).
I think you misunderstand me. Its to have the ability to guarantee. As in fight for it. Not "I'm entitled to a kill because I downed someone" Its I beat him even with the bs in the match. Why am I forced to deal with in game mechanics that take away my ability to secure a kill? You twisted my discussion to one of entitlement which is not what it is about. If they beat me using skill or perks that arnt bs. Then its a fair loss. Which ill be mad about in the moment but a loss is a loss. When in game mechanics take away my ability to fight for that its unfair and busted.
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
Why are perks like DS and off the record turned off in endgame but not bt? Does the same login not apply to Base BT? It should be off in endgame.
Why? It provides an ability to counter being camped to avoid Survivors, particularly during solo queue, being completely powerless against the killer just waiting half a second to swing.
[for the record, i am completely against the entire finishing mori + unbreakable basekit system.]
In end game dude. Its completely uncounterable. During the match its fine. Endgame no. Even bubba cant do anything about it. If you are caught in endgame the other survivors need to pull something to get that save. They need to earn it. Not just get it for free because of base mechanics. Your logic is like the equivalent of arguing that camping shouldn't be happening in endgame. A killer should be able to secure the kill in end game period. The mechanic takes away the ability to do so. Its completely unfair.

If you're good the bully squads you're talking about are a free win. The actual bully squads are the teams who are or act like they're in a comp setting. Can't stand that amount of sweat with no warning. Just boring at that point

I think since it only can be activated once per hook stage they should extend the range a bit so you dont have to be within chainsaw distance to counter bubba.

yeah? Hows that mental gymnastics? Perk was middle tier got nerfed to low tier because 1 killer can abuse it. Pretty simple

I agree. I dont have a lot of time to dedicate to the game sometimes. Pre the reworked progression system I was able to get 1m spend it and call it fairly easily. It felt rewarding dedicating my time to the game with what little time I had. After removing the bp bonuses on bbq and wglf the same time i spent before only nets maybe 250k-500k. So now no progression for the time I can put in. Its made me play the game a lot less. It feels far less rewarding.
imo I think taking away bbq and wglf bonus is a way to further incentivize the role incentives. So they are punishing the player base to fix their game design flaws. Its further infuriated me thinking about that after they removed it because they couldn't even implement it right.
My suggestion is to make the bbq and wglf bonuses base game. Even if they arnt a full 100% bonus. The concept was healthy for the game. Old bbq rewarded not tunneling, and old wglf rewarded altruism. Now with them gone people are tunneling more and being less altruistic. Overall horrible implementation.
Also I'm going to post this as a separate topic as I think that its worth talking about a fix like this.
-
Its situational and highly dependent on the killer, the teamate on hook and how good of a match it was. If its an m1 killer that improves their odds of me going for them but if its bubba then Im far less likely. Was that survivor productive? I'm far less likely to want to help a teamate that hid all match. If it was a good game I'm rank 1 and I got a bunch of points. I wouldnt mind swapping with that hooked survivor.
Either way the people who get bent out of shape that you didnt die for them to escape are the worst. Same with the obvious 2 or 3 man squad that leave before the person being hooked even gets a chance to hop off hook.
-
not long at all. I could get Iri 1 in one day if I tried. Survivor on the other hand is very hard. I play mostly solo so how fast I get to iri 1 is very reliant on the team and killer I get.
-
As killer I dont really care so long as I feel like I had a chance to win and I screwed it up. If I feel like the match was unwinnable then it pisses me off. The same is for when I'm winning if I feel like team didnt have a chance to beat me then its not fun. I like close matches win or lose.
As survivor I play for fun unless I'm doing challnges or trying to get to rank 1. If I'm not doing either of those I prefer escaping but I'm down to sacrifice myself to save other good teammates. The two things that make me not enjoy a match is teammates throwing / being paired with babies and killers who camp people to death or tunnel with no provocation. What I mean by that is if they camp or tunnel at 4 or 5 gens, late game I dont care.
-
Attack on titan is great horror. Outside of that I disagree with variety making people lose interest in dbd. On the flipside I agree with the notion that dbd shouldnt lose its horror feel. Plus to me the survivor skinds look like comicon cosplayers and not the actual characters. Which to me is better. To put your mind at ease devs have stated in the past that they what to keep dbd horror oriented so I dont think we'll see a nutty professor skin haha.

I'm just here to laugh at all the comments defending swf by saying its rare. High mmr is high mmr. Its that fact that it exists not that it is always encountered.
I'm a firm believer that devs dont care about how op a swf can be at this point. Making valid cases on these forums is like yelling truths out into the ether expecting something to change and instead you get a bunch of people who play swf at high level poking you in the eye with sticks and bad arguments.
I've had people unironically state that the communication that swf is capable of is a non issue. They are in an echo chamber too just more people who most likely play in these swfs trying to not get their toy taken away from them.
Then the devs never acknowledge any of these kinds of arguments. Instead they swear to boost up soloq only to backpedal and make changes that poo on soloq. Waste of time imo swf will not change

Yea, it will discourage/reduce facecamping even when no one is using it, a bit like how the bandaid pre nerfed DS discouraged tunneling to an extent even when no one was using it.
A while back, killers would tunnel hard with no fear of any downsides when there was no obsession because they knew no one could possibly have DS. With the introduction of an obsession every game, it made them respect the fact that survivors COULD have DS every game, thus discouraged tunneling.
The killer gets a notification that they perk is active so theres no discouraging facecamping outside of someone actually using the perk. It will not have the same effect that ds did.
