Hi, as you've heard the images were very disturbing. I'm working with the hosting company to implement things to make it safer for all of us. It's not quite as simple as only allowing posters who have a certain amount of posts the ability to post images as we of course have to consider things like tech support, bug reports where images are pretty vital and we don't want to restrict users from receiving help.
For right now, the ability to post images will be switched off during the night EU times, and over the weekend whilst we assess the situation and look for a longer term solution - the forum is growing a lot and my concern is that these things will happen more. So I really want something implemented that protects everyone, because people really shouldn't have to see those images and I am so sorry for those that did, they were utterly sickening.
This is not a decision we made lightly, but due to the ongoing situation this was a step that we really had to take.
Take all the time you need, I'm hoping a proper solution can be found.

Itll probably be never as its easier to avoid a lawsuite not that its behaviors fault mind you but its just better to take away the tools people use whem they are trying to be mean
i don't think bhvr can be held legally responsible for what people on the forums post

doing dumb ######### is funny

I don’t know how you’d fake something on what seemed to be some kind of concrete sidewalk.
i don't know what was posted but it could have very well been a shot fron a grindhouse movie or something, a lot of those gore photos are fake.

wesley willis's entire discography

i'm convinced they just randomly chose what words to censor, i refuse to believe someone can be dense enough to censor the names of perks and survivors in the game.

They never made any main games. In the past BHVR made a lot of games on GameCube and Nintendo consoles. All of them were licensed games they never made any original games. They worked on one game that was the most godawful game ever. Made by Activision SpongeBob Heropants. It was ######### awful. How ironic that next year after that god awful game came out. Dbd would release in 2016 and the rest is history
do you know if it was the same staff that worked on those? it's entirely possible that there aren't any common devs between those games and dbd
-
ok then get out
-
don't agree with most of this, but i wouldn't mind dbd being sold to another company. red barrels works with the unreal engine and is making their own asymmetrical horror game, maybe they'd be interested.
-
neas are either new players or the most irritating people in the game
sometimes both
-
i'm betting there's some hidden mechanic with an absurdly convoluted method of using, probably involving the basement

I can't get over the texture of the boba itself to enjoy it with anything.
right? it's like gelatinous and chewy at the same time, it's just gross. the tea itself is nice though.
-
jeff got 5 variants of the same basic outfit, 2 unique cosmetics and then completely abandoned
-
anyone here ever tried milk tea? i tried it with boba recently but the texture put me off.

"Just add a hook upstairs that'll fix the problem with Boil Over!"
"No! not like that!"
smh
i get it, but unhookable spots are just as much of a problem as boil over. bhvr needs to reevaluate how they do map design because whoever is working on that is not doing a great job.

Remove the pc players from crossplay. Problem solved
console players with crossplay turned off still get hackers, people found ways to enable it for themselves before it even got enabled for everyone.

I'd rather they found a way to make it useful.
i'm with you there, but removing the abusability of it is at least something, and at this point expecting bhvr to make good changes to the mountain of junk perks is expecting too much sadly.
-
absolutely not. this would only make games more frustrating for killer, there's no reason to give that big of an advantage to survivors.

It was already a relatively weak perk. Now it'll be useless.
i'd rather have a useless perk than an easily abused one. it served no purpose beyond enhancing bad play on both sides.
-
didn't expect a good change on that perk, let alone one so soon. fair enough then

Completing all challenges earns new archive cosmetics faster, so it blocks players who don't have money to buy a chapter.
the 2 or 3 challenges that can't be done really aren't gonna make much of a difference. they put the necessary perks in the shrine as well.

Eyrie is fun though
it's huge and the main building is painful
-
with how previous reworks and killer changes have gone, expect the worst.
-
i wish there was just a killer fov slider, it really is not much of an advantage, for sure not one that's worth an entire perk slot but god i just do not like the default fov at all.
-
well, that narrows down map offerings to dodge i suppose
-
depends on my mood really

Or the nurse was oryginally supposed to be a teacher but they scrapped this idea during the development. It wouldn't really need much of work.
i think it was just a red herring to throw people off
-
it might be a little too,, ick for dbd but a crossed chapter could maybe work?
-
god i want a soma chapter so bad
-
according to bhvr this is perfectly acceptable, sorry. don't worry though, it got "brought up to the team" so we should see an end to it in approximately 3-6 months

Guess boil over is probably gonna get nerfed...
ideally they'd just fix the maps where it can be abused, but that takes more work than just nerfing it so i wouldn't count on it
-
not gonna touch the bleeding out part, but crows should definitely start showing if no gens get touched for an amount of time.

@Mandy said:
The killswitch is there for something that's absolutely game breaking and can crash the game or be severely exploited where the game cannot end for example. Neither of those apply here, survivors can be slugged etc.
Whilst I appreciate RPD can be frustrating right now, it is something that has been brought up to the team.
wasn't aware an uncleansable totem is game-breaking or can be used to hold the game hostage, very cool
it's not like survivors take 4 minutes to bleed out and that time can be further stretched by no mither/unbreakable/exponential/other team members picking up
-
no
-
i guess the "oh they'll just bleed out" argument is enough for them. not like no mither significantly increases that time lol.
-
best is silent hill, worst is a tie between ghostface and hellraiser because one is just the mask license and the other had that nft debacle

Nope. People are just willing to shell out that much just to play this game. Same as people using stretched and filters.
Didn't TheGannMan get banned?
i mean i don't see why a pair of headphones would be exclusively used for dbd, high-end headphones generally cost a lot of money and i can't imagine anyone would buy a pair like that just for gaming
-
enjoy your day off
-
ever gone against technician squads? they all run that perk and intentionally fail skill checks on gens to quickly lower their progress to 0. it sucks.
-
i love blight but i do wish there was more killer variety. maybe the legion and ghostface changes will affect that?
please?

Also might I add that I am very disappointed in so many people who clearly have not seen Deadpool...
ah well i feel dumb

i'd maybe find a way to deal with irritating games beyond contributing to a problem you don't wanna face yourself
also stop calling yourself daddy that's ######### weird
-
i've had 1 bad experience with a ttv and the rest were either uninteresting or nice. sounds like you have bad luck more than anything else
-
random number pulled from an untrustworthy source and promoted by a major content creator, nice
-
try and move unpredictably, if he's staying at the other end of say, a car loop, move to a different part of the loop or a new one altogether because he's probably trying to hug-tech, that's all i got.
-
i don't really get it but as long as they keep that stuff in kyf and their own tournaments i don't really care either
-
no, but pretty much everyone you play with is gonna hate you.
you do you though.
-
i think that'd be a good change, as much as i dislike the massive amounts of healing buffs that can be equipped, i pretty much never see this perk run. would be nice to see a little variety.
-
@GannTM said:
I wouldn't blame the players for running those perks. They're good perks, why wouldn't they run them?
right? let people run what they want, it really doesn't matter. if you like running off-meta stuff, you do that but don't expect to only go against people playing "fair". i run power struggle, blast mine and flashbang as survivor and usually get stomped by people running stronger builds, and that's fine because that's to be expected. this guy is running a pretty damn strong build with a meme add on chucked in, so i really don't see the point of this post.
