Very nicely done! You are a really good spirit!
@despised7 Just need good volume headset and learn the different range of grunts. That's about it. I haven't played Spirit in over 2 years but been playing her recently just to prove how bullshit she is to play as and how most survivors cannot stop her. Even in my game, you can tell I'm relaxed and don't care because I KNOW I'll win.

I'm pretty sure the guy in the bathroom has blonde hair, the guy who died in the final movie had dark hair (and an intact foot which the guy in the bathroom does not)
@ChurchofPig Ah, yes. I believe you're correct. Thank you for the correction.

I haven't had that issue. My issue is when I play survivor and see 4 hooks 8 steps apart from each other. (Edit: had an s on the end of survivor)

It is simple:
- Don't cheat, either by hack or lag spike.
- Don't disconnect; if you start a game, finish it.
- Be humble in victory, and gracious in defeat.
That is all you have to do or what is reasonably expected.
@Moundshroud That was beautifully said. I have nothing to add.

@despised7 I did a video for you but I don't know if you want more or just 5 games straight? Up to you. Also, I called you, "Despair" because I didn't realize your name was Despised at the time XD So ignore that lol. (Edit: It'll be done uploading and processing in about an hour and 20 minutes! Also, it's against a TRUE SWFs BULLY Squad XD It's pretty funny to watch)

@despised7 No worries. I'll start uploading Spirit videos tonight to show you how to do it. It's mainly just high volume with a good headset. Just hit first THEN phase on someone.

I think they just mean PH should also get BBQ bloodpoints for cages, no other changes.
@malatruse That was my understanding as well but I could be wrong.
-
@SilentHillOnDvD I have an 8-hour stream of myself playing Spirit to prove my point. I only lost once with a 2-man escape and that was due to me being nice. The rest was 4k's. Plenty of Spine Chill users trying to juke me and always got hit. A LOT of complaining at end game chat how Spirit is OP.
-
Spine chill tells you when a killer is LOOKING at you. Not which DIRECTION the killer is looking at you. Spine Chill doesn't work on my Spirit. I just clap all survivors XD

Personally, I hope they make it more "Anti-Tunnel" in a future Update. Like increasing the Timer or removing Scratchmarks/Bloodtrails/Grunts of Pain for 10 seconds after the stun so that the Survivor either is secured longer or has an actual chance to get away (like, the strongest Killers like Nurse and Spirit dont care about DS at all, so 10 seconds of basically being invisible can give the Survivor enough distance).
@Aven_Fallen I wouldn't be opposed to that change.
-
DS is being changed and the 4% should always be there as a last attempt against teammates who didn't even try to help you. (Edit: Changed for to against)
-
Server locations. If someone is farther from a server than you, you'll enjoy a bad match here and there. Vice-versa.
-
I see more people with SB than DH and DH isn't that bad.
-
Because I don't like being camped to death by a cloaked Wraith with no way to get unhooked safely. (Edit: Also, the burn effect takes like 2.5 seconds, not 1. You have a better chance of blinding him than burning him.
-
Wiggling is meant to help you get a second chance at life IF your teammates help. They did forget to remove the extra hooks. I would like for it to be reverted but I doubt it ever will be.

That logic makes no sense dude.
There is no reason to change BBQ in a gameplay affecting way, it's a fine perk as is.
How on earth did you even come to the conclusion those two things are even remotely comparable? Like are you just digging at BBQ for some misguided reason or did you just misunderstand what I was saying entirely? I am genuinely asking.
@Echorion You misunderstood @Ruma . The person wanted the killer to get BPs from CAGES also but not get the Aura reading from a Cage, though. So you don't get the aura reading from caging someone initially but you get BPs since you PERFORMED the cage animation and the survivors get stacks for opening the cage and rescuing someone. Hope that cleared that up.

Judging by this thread alone there is a lot of confusion on this. And I wasn’t aware of this game when LF was added so never watched the older dev streams..
if it really is only like 30 downs per char I will try it, currently i don’t have any. But I rarely play LF..
@Mooks I stand corrected. It's 25 sacrifices per character. You have to sacrifice 25 Dwights for the face of Dwight and so on and so forth.

Are you sure about that?
i thought I have read before that you need 100 sacrifices of said character while playing LF to unlock the mask..
@Mooks Nah. I got Megs' quickly on PS4. I have never heard of the sacrifices part. Just the chainsaw part. Once I started to chainsaw, I got the faces' quickly. Pretty sure it was mentioned on a dev stream around the time Leatherface was released on how to unlock the faces. @NotQueen @Almo Do either of you mind enlightening on us on how to unlock the faces for Leatherface? Isn't it chainsaw downs? 25-30 per character?

I would disagree. Myself and a lot of others agree that when you play fairly, it's a better experience for literally everyone in the match. When you actively know you could be ruining someone's game, their entire mood and attitude in real life just because you rely on rubbish tactics that would never ever work in tournaments or against a full team of rank 1s is a shame.
I think if you can't effeciently get a 3-4k without slugging/camping/tunneling every single person, you're not as good a player as you may think you are. And at red ranks, when you rely on those tactics to win, it's bullshit, because if you're a red rank you're obviously good at the game, so you're basically just throwing yourself under the bus and instead of making the game only fun to yourself and every other player, you're only making it fun for yourself. And that isn't true either, how can you have fun relying on bs tactics if you know you don't need them to win? It just seems like a cheap bs way to win.
@ttvbardberd I prefer to win. I'll do what I need to do to win. It's in my nature. To play a game like this and expect to do anything less for the enjoyment of others when you're putting your skill against others' is like playing COD and letting others' get free kills on you because they aren't as good. I don't actively face camp but I'll camp if I got to and I'll tunnel if I have to. Have you ever just stopped doing gens for a few minutes to help a killer get 2 hooks on everyone? I doubt you would because that wouldn't be beneficiary. If you lost every match to a death because you're being friendly or never killed anyone because you was being nice, you would stop playing. That's just how I view this game. Nothing against you, it's just how I play this game.
-
Thats why I said I would like a mute button also and its proximity, not map wide. Maybe 7 meters away proximity chat but yeah, didn't think about teammates telling on others'.
-
There isn't such a thing as being unfair in a game where your job is to kill efficiently or the survivor doing what they have to do to escape.
-
I would love it. I just want a way to disable each person, too. Also, I better be able to talk to the killer :D Would love to talk smack while looping XD or tell the killer to stop chasing me, I bruise like a banana! lol. Would make the games even better. Just picture getting hook camped then singing kumbiya to the killer XD

I've been playing some more, and I'm getting dominated as Nurse. I understand she's supposed to be hard to play, but I struggle to even get a single hook if I'm playing against even mildly competent survivors.
I'm just looking for some tips, because I like to try to scare people, but getting no kills in a match really puts a damper on my mood
@aTerribleSurvivor Use your first blink to get as close as possible to a survivor and use your second to correct any mistakes. Don't try to blink directly on top of a survivor or they'll just run towards you. You can blink at the ground if they run at you so you can stop yourself from going really far away. Memorize how far you go while holding different timing blinks. Take chances to blink even if its hard to see them. It'll help you get comfortable. That's about it.

If a killer could crouch, I would lose my ######### lol.
-
Pig. I like to crouch roar continuously as I butt-rub a survivor. It's hilarious to me lol.

Remove the camera YANK from her traps and make it so you can disarm her traps by wiping as an action. That's about it. She'd be fun to go against and she couldn't just get a free hit when she teleports.

@Reinami She doesn't do either. She doesn't even move corn.
-
The sounds were messed up and on top of that, sound was not directional at that point so yes, she was very weak. Sound got fixed a few months afterwards and they made sound directional, which made it impossible to lose her or even have a fair chance against her. She should make sounds every 2 and half seconds to know where she's at. She's very fast so you could still mindgame but its fair on both sides now.
-
If you're messing with the game files, you should be banned for tampering and cheating. Simple as that. The files aren't there for you to mess with.
-
I like the new animations, personally. You can hide behind thin trees now, you can crouch lower behind objects to hide better too. The new hurt animation makes it easier to run while still maintaining a bit of hiddenness while you weave between objects. I didn't like how the locomotion changed the quick turns, though. Not one bit. I also wish they would add back the crawl speed. That was actually just right.
-
I'm usually chill but switch to competitive after 2 gens have popped. If it's an event, I 2-hook and let everyone go, ALWAYS. If the survivors are running OoO and are making it clear that they're here to ruin my day, I switch to competitive and I usually 4k. Otherwise, I try to be chill unless I get rushed. That's my motto.
(Edit: As a survivor, I'm competitive from the get-go and try to do my best to loop the killer so my team can do gens since I lost trust in solo's a long time ago. I prefer to take the initiative and run the killer. If 3 gets out and I die, I count that as a win, regardless of a pip or not as a survivor. I do the same as killer. 3k-4k as a win.)

@Pika_Belle I have never met a survivor in-game who liked playing against Spirits. Not once. Bubba is a toss-up for me. I really enjoy Bubba. I know windows are his worst enemy. Just like Oni's is T-walls. I quite enjoy slapping Bubba in the face with a pallet after running him around a loop with his chainsaw in full swing then slapping him without him breaking the pallet. It's just me playing the game for too long. I can time my pallet slams. The only one that I don't do that with is Demo. That Shred seems a bit janky when trying to stun him in mid-Shred. Otherwise, I enjoy the chainsaw Bros. Probably the most fun I ever had in this game. I also really enjoy going against Huntress. Playing OL-AY! as I run from hatchets is incredibly fun. My absolute favorite to go against is Myers and Billy. Myers due to his terror radius and not knowing how close he is to Tier 3 and Billy because that dumb look on his face as he revs XD It just kills me lol.

Trickster cannot pressure at longer ranges due to how lasceraction works. The metre goes down rather fast and he has to hit 6 knives which due to hitboxes isn’t easy
@Phasmamain Same with Gunslinger until people got better with him and you can throw knives over objects where pallet spawns are while crouched. Me and my friends tested it on PTB. You can do the same with Gunslinger and Hatchets. I still stand by the fact that I don't want to get butt rode by a projectile killer. Plague can't hurt you without M1'ing you. PH is easy to dodge since he stops for 1 seconds before unleashing. Hatchets are a pain in the ass but you just need to dodge 1 then run like hell. If you made the new killer faster, he'd just butt ride you to death. What if Huntress was normal killer speed? You know how unfun that would be? I will say, they should take her hum out and just make it her terror radius since it wouldn't be that bad, though. Honestly, I rather wait until he's released and give it a few months so people could get use to it. A lot of people said Huntress was bad and after they got good with her, there was a lot of hatred on the forums.
Same with Gunslinger. My dumbass advocated for the chain to be harder to break and we got it. Now I hate my life XD so I learned to just chill for a bit and see. I didn't like the Billy CD, though. I still don't. I see why it was implemented but I enjoyed watching a guy rev continuously as I looped them around a pallet XD I miss those days. I'd say give him time but speed increase is not one of them.

@Pika_Belle It's a 2-way street. No one wants to play against something that's unfair and unfun. I'm not saying that have a right to say mean things to people because they don't but at the same time, you need to understand what they have to deal with. (Edit: I have a ton of hateful endgame chats on my videos when I won so some people will act like that no matter the outcome. I will still say, I can play whoever I like. And I've not had issues playing against spirits myself. Most killers you have to change your playing style with, it's how the game is. If every single game was boring and the same and you had to play the same for every single killer you went against, thenni doubt you would play either. But because of the defense from saying why spirit is "uncountable" I'm sort of getting the vibe that you agree that I should get bullied for playing her. As that is what my post is about
@Pika_Belle I gave you honest and sound reasoning and you revert to, I can play who I want and you just need to git gud (Just change your playstyle with no counters) yet you want people to sympathize with you while you won't do the same for others and the reasons why they dislike the killer? Eh, you're right. Play who you like but if someone doesn't ENJOY playing against a killer with no counters and they manage to beat you, don't come to the forums and wonder why you don't get a lot of support. Good luck on your matches.

Trickster is slower while throwing knives and is capable of downing you that quickly
@Phasmamain Yes, I know. It's so you can't be butt rode to a 1-shot. I'm honestly sick of getting projectile killers but we keep the same low objects in the map. If most objects weren't easy to throw over, I wouldn't honestly mind a bit faster projectile killers but it's becoming too much. The new Ruin plus someone just chucking things at you from a distance making you lose much more progress with minimal effort is tortue.

But spirit does have a sound queue out of her terror radius you hear the vaccum sound. It gets louder as she is closer to you. Her phase is only silent in her terror radius. My build is spine chill, resilience, quick and quiet and dead hard. Im a looper, and i dont usually have issues looping a spirit. I can usually tell if she is coming through the pallete so drop it on her head during phase, because I listen for the sound of phasing i know she is close or I know to get that fast vault. Also the whole directional sound queue from survivors is a lil i dont know the word, "weird" when I'm pretty sure most sound systems are dolby 7.1 surround. Are we not supposed to play with sound now
@Pika_Belle It stays the same and its not directional. If I moaned all around you and you couldn't pinpoint me like in the old days, you wouldn't be playing Spirit. Spine Chill is useless against Spirit, by the way. It tells you when a killer is LOOKING at you. Doesn't tell you WHICH direction they are LOOKING at you from, though. Are they looking at your back? Front? Left side? Right Side? At an angle? It gives you a general tell that the Spirit is coming for you but not any real way to tell where at. You still MOAN in a locker. Very loudly, too. Your scratch marks stop immediately as you enter a locker. You can't tell if she's gonna swing immediately when she comes out so Dead Hard isn't reliable for her and I use Dead Hard on all of my builds. Resilience doesn't do much except maybe help vault faster but she'll catch you before you can vault most of the time anyway since you can tell which SIDE of the vault she's on but she can hear you so she knows. Hope that helps.
(Edit: My reply for Tinkerer Forever Freddy. If he's using Tinkerer instead of Teleporting, he'll get you once with a scare but you'll be prepared after that. It's not that bad. I run self-care since my teammates are usually urban evasioning around the map for no apparent reason and I prefer to not have to worry too much about putting myself in more danger to get 1 heal. Its about 8 seconds slower but its safer than having a teammate blow your stitch.)

@Phasmamain said:
Plague and PH are both 115% to be fair so it’s not out of the question
@Phasmamain The thing with both of them is, they both slowdown when powering up (except super puke but you have to cleanse for that or dodge the freebie that they get), and PH is a bit slow so you can still try to dodge it. They have to do a wind-up. They can't just continuously throw over an object. If you crouch and you can still be hit continuously by a projectile, that's not a good direction to go nor do I want to be butt rode by a projectile user. It's already bad when I get shot over an object by a gunslinger and dragged out with no real way to defend myself behind a pallet. I don't want even more oppressive styles to emerge. That's just my 2 cents.

@Phasmamain Its a good balance QOL change. Helps newer players learn his timing and when to dodge and for good killers, it's their job to be able to predict which way a survivor is turning with your flick. Really nice thing that the dev's did.

I personally find forever freddy the most unfun killer to go against tbh. I'm a survivor main and i dont moan if I face a spirit and especially with stridor, because I understand she needs sound to get her downs. I usually get a good run, and playing her myself I know how to juke a good spirit. The people saying she is easy and requires no skill probably havent even played her themselves especially in a red rank lobby and have no intention of ever learning to juke, and just moan about her. But the same works for every killer, the juking only works for so long before you get downed
@Pika_Belle All killers have tells. You can try to mindgame the other side with those tells. That's what makes a chase, A CHASE. The greater skilled player prevails. Gives you a rush and makes you feel on top of the world. That goes for either side. Even Wraith has to uncloak, which is his tell that he's close. A Spirit can watch scratch marks. The moment they stop, come out of invisibility. You get a speed boost like Wraith and if they're hurt, you should know if they are below you. I've made guides on her in the past to show how you can tell exactly where someone is with Spirit IF you already M1'd them, which is what you should be doing anyway.
With Spirit, she has 0 tells on her location. I'm not talking about the "husk" noise. That's like saying the survivor moans but its EVERYWHERE around you. How would you like to go invisible then here moans EVERYWHERE and have no way to tell where that survivor is? Would be a bit bullshit wouldn't it? Couldn't see scratch marks, blood and couldn't tell where a survivor is moaning from? Wouldn't be fun to play against, would it? That's how survivors feel. You get 0 tells and since you're hurt, you're a like a giant groaning beacon from about 6-7 meters away and its DIRECTIONAL. You can even tell which side of a pallet they are on while invisible and since you come out so fast, they can't usually react if you stand directly behind them. They can't tell how close you are to them. You have all this info, including corn and grass moving. Survivors can "guess".
Sounds use to NOT be directional and Spirit was almost NEVER played because it was almost impossible to tell where a survivor was while invisible unless following scratch marks THEN you could mindgame a Spirit but the moment they made sounds directional, that became null. I just want a fair match between killers vs survivors. I play both. I know what's unfun. I've played this game for YEARS. I hated Undying/Ruin as a combo. I liked the old Ruin. I hated infinites on Freddys' Map as killer, since if they had Balanced Landing, you just lose. I remember when Bubba was barely faster than you with his chainsaw so you had to literally butt rub someone with it before getting a down. I believe in fairness all around. If you think I'm a killer main, I have videos where destroy Rank 1 killers. If you think I'm a survivor main, I have a ton of video's where I destroy Rank 1 survivors. Spirit has no tells. That's her problem. Give me 1.5 seconds of sound every 2-3 seconds to tell where she's at while phasing near a pallet so I can try to outsmart her. Remember, Spirit has speed add-ons. She's faster than survivors and can stay in her mode for up to 14 seconds with add-ons. If you can't mindgame a survivor because of a quick sound que, you never was good with that killer anyway. You was being carried by an easy killer with no counters but guesses. That's why I advocate for some type of fairness for her.
(Edit: To answer you about Forever Freddy, you can still wake up from alarm clocks around the map, even if its a bit annoying. Without them, this forum would be a dumpster fire about how unbeatable Freddy is all the time. Alarm Clocks keep his power from being overpowered and unbearable. They are there for BALANCE. So, yeah, he's a bit annoying but you can still loop him and escape before waking up with Alarm Clocks and you can wake yourself up with failed self-care skill checks, just not gen ones. Multiple ways to counter that build but most won't say that. They'll just claim OP. Iridescent Hatchets are some bullshit, though! lol)

@DontNerf I don't mind the roar as much anymore since with Billy, you won't get many long-range snipes as it is. I would like for all killers to have a unique laugh when someone DC's that is different from their hit sound. Would be pretty epic XD
