At the end of day, survivor fun is the priority, and currently survivors don’t enjoy facing the Xenomorph.
Which to me is wild, Xeno is already the perfect killer for Survivors

Sadako already has a low 24m TR, we're not looking to go below that number, and Wraith fits with the current 32m, he has no terror radius whilst cloaked and moves at a greater speed so he has some ability to cover the map well, not as much as Billy for example but it's still faster than the 4.6/4.4 defaults.
We've gone through the roster about the existing Killers we wanted to adjust and they were listed in the Developer Update, right now there's no plans for changing Chucky's TR, we feel that given what's involved in his kit that 32m is in the right range. We might see new upcoming Killers with different TR's however, so not just the default 32m anymore.
This gives me hope for the Unknown T_T

Devs seem to not even taken any consideration how malicious its being used. It needs to go else amma stop posting till its gone. Why make here reddit 2.0?
We had to remove prestiges because this community can't handle statistics so I'm surprised down votes were added.

You're not guaranteed to be the obsession even if you force it, unfortunately.
Or in the case of OoO, that's the best case scenario. OoO with nonobsession status is the best!

You don't seem to understand the implications of the OP here.
That these changes are not thought out whatsoever and are probably just as dumb as having Bots replace players who DC while having a DC penalty that players will just easily circumvent.
It is very clear that there is no plan or strategy behind any of these changes. I could probably ask kinder gardeners to come up with a more consistent system than any of this.
I don't see how that's any different from live servers...Sable mains already all run up to me wanting my autograph or something.
-
I never ever ever ever want to see a Wraith or Hag, but that wouldn't really be fair.
-
You could visit YouTube.com and look up how to loop an m1 killer

Yea. I also know it doesn't matter when everyone runs it with the add on that increases your speed with every chain hit. And relying on playing pallet chicken with latency and hit validation is not a strong strategy. Nor is wasting a pallet every 15 seconds with the upcoming cooldown buff.
ItIt's A meme because it's a detriment compared to playing them normally. It's played because it's fun, not because it's good. It's like speed limiter
-
Thanks for the warning
-
I find it odd that they'd buff the turrets like this. Is this meant to help players who currently choose to ignore turrets entirely? Because as a survivor who enjoys using turrets(thank you alien players) idk if this is the way
-
Tbh, my idea of buffing turrets would have simply to allow Survivors to carry them at current Fixated speeds.
-
I can't comment until I see the addon adjustments but otherwise it seems OK
I'm not one of those "thana dying light" slowdown legions so these changes are looking fine so far
-
Legion buffs are cool, but i can't comment until I see what "addon adjustments" mean. My anxiety is the loss of iri button, haha
Welcome buffs for my one true main above pinhead
Oh, that Terror radius changes are nice! Thank you! That gives me hope foe the Unknown

Most likely, you cannot use the attack on titan cosmetic for spirit.
That reminds me...anybody know why Silent Hill was suddenly allowed in the last 2v8? M totally not jealous or anything...OK maybe

If you want my life story for the past decade, I've gone from LoL to OW, to F13 to Dbd with Yugioh on the side for all that.
Now I have Sparking ZERO on the rotation, I am a Dragon Ball Goku main. Every game I play I play what I find cool and fun, but it's an uphill battle against Sweatlords. But that's the eternal struggle I voluntarily signed up for. Heck, I mained Legion when I started in 2021
I enjoy single player stuff too, particularly Persona. Persona's 3 and 2 are permanently burned into my psyche
In grade 8 I was utterly obsessed with ninja garden 2 the new remake is something I'm working towards playing(I'm playing through black first)

Issue is on some maps it was very easy to find survivors with Nurse's calling and just keep interrupting them over and over agian, which was definetly very annoying thing to play against.
Which is understandable. I'm a tad biased, because I admit unlimited Hemorrhage is what kept me sticking with The Knight; Monitor makes default Terror Radius just 4m less than the max range of Nurses Calling.
If I could trade the Mangled off Sloppy for permanent Hemorrhage I'd be tickled pink. On the killers end, there's definite feedback that the Hemorrhage works, whereas Mangled feels hard to quantify on the killer side

Don't you mean Face the Darkness instead of Third Seal? Would make more sense.
There are better killers for such a build anyway tho. Just use Sadako.
Unless the nerfs changed something I missed, Merchant drones apply 3rd Seal.

I kinda get why they did it, not really why they also nerfed Mangled too.
A lot of people on both sides seem to be split as to what's more problematic, hemorrhage or Mangled but I personally thought Mangled was so incredibly boring. At least hemorrhages slowdown only applies if you successfully interrupt a heal.

I also wonder if pinhead is permabanned from 2v8 when they start adding more licenses
Sadly this will likely be the case until the situation changes.
Bummer, because I was hoping to overload my poor noggin by doubling my brain power trying to triangulate the box with 10 Seekers of Pleasure running around

Nah, the short burst of Undetectable after deploying a drone is still there, and it's now her strongest feature.
She's also pretty quiet, so Undetectable from perks works very well on her.
I could have sworn it was removed entirely, that was my favourite feature of her kit. But I'm genuinely happy to be mistaken here.
Welp, guess I have to buy that new skin after all...
-
They really need to undo that unwarranted hemorrhage nerf
What's a person got to do to get some consistent hemorrhaging?
-
@jesterkind said:
Lean on her stealth.
Her drones barely function anymore, even when they aren't bugged, but her stealth has always been pretty solid (at least for this iteration, release SM's stealth was kinda bad) so you can play her as a sort of budget stealth killer and it can work.
It's a shame, really, because her power was super interesting and fun to play both as and against, in my opinion, but what happened happened. Right now she's basically only good for leveraging her admittedly above-average use of Undetectable and occasionally getting a ranged injury if things go well.
She still has stealth? I thought they took away her pocket Insidious, which was my favourite aspect of hers
-
I looped a Xeno around it's turrets and saw his tail get aim dressed into the turret.
Xeno is fun, but man when you miss or get lame Control Points they really feel bad.
Tunnels should feel awesome, but there comes a time when the spawns do nothing for you and the survivors are too aware
From the survivor side Xeno is a perfect killer, I only wish the opposite were also true

I read this and my first thoughts were for @100PercentBPMain you will have to immortalise Pinface by never changing your pfp!
That'll be my sight to show you :)
Pinhead is the one killer where I feel like I have something in common with survivors. Whether you are survivor or killer, everybody loves the box!
-
They nerfed Demos best addon while he was unavailable so yeah balance is on the table

I'm still waiting to see AoT comeback so we can play in 2v8...such is the nature of the licence beast.
It's better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all :(

Rest in peace

There will not be refunds on perks or the character, whilst I understand the sentiment, you've had opportunity to use the perks prior to the removal in April.
If you do not own the character, the perk names will change to the general perk names that they will receive. If you own The Cenobite, you will retain the perk names and flavour texts.
It's been a while since Stranger Things, but do newer players get to see the original perk names and text if I have them? Or do new players only see the new, generic stuff?

Interesting, why do you like Toba Landing? Everyone I meet hates Toba. 😂 I don't mind Toba Landing, it has some nice little loops.
It's got everything for me. Foliage for creeping, odd loops to counter chainsaws, elevation for Balanced, decent main building, overall very good for survivor. Killers have decent gens.
It's got something for everyone, I feel.
-
Dbd is losing its best killer..that's really a huge blow.
Hopefully he can come back with a better deal and a better license holder
-
I was on break before 2v8, now I feel it'll time to go back.
I played 1 match of 1v4 to dust off the old Invocation build, but our first chase down Dcd and then another Dcd when they saw me do the invocation
I chuckled as I got the authentic 1v4 experience
-
I can actually see a Killer bot capable of this.
I had a Wesker bot load in after 3 gens popped and was like "7 minutes is all I have to spare..." and slaughtered everybody within less than 2 generators.
I almost wish I could have let myself be taken over so I could partake in the machine uprising
-
Midwich and The Game uses to be my favourite levels until Toba Landing. I still appreciate Midwich.
-
FFor What it's worth, stealth still helps you get like, half a meter closer before survivors would have became aware of you. It ain't much, but every inch counts when it comes to the tentacle
Just got to treat stealth nemmy as just having Monitor and Abuse

Aw, what does that sound like? Squishing noises? I haven't had many Tricksters barage me with the blades on hook to remember what that directly sounds like. 😅
Kinda sounds like a bull in a China shop tbh, you'd think there's an earthquake with all that glass shattering
-
Only thing I actively dislike is that he triggers my misophonia; the sound tricksters make by spamming knives/main event while you are on hook seriously bothers me.
Why do knives sound like shattering bottles? I call Trickster "bottle kid" like from Trailer Park Boys
-
It's not that it's meta, it's that the face camp community had to find new ways to troll people and make people miserable by power tripping
Nobody actually cares what oni/twins mains do

Thank you for not bringing up Treacherous Crows

I've said for the past 8 years Meg is the only one i'd date in real life & that's why she's still my main.
Wouldn't particularly disagree Kate is objectively the most attractive, but the rest of that tier list is night & day for my own personal opinion.
Of course all tier lists are subjective & I certainly got a laugh out of the rankings!
To think I came back to the forums again & made my first comment on something light hearted like this gives me some hope for the next few months though, doubt i'll be here past the Anniversary we'll see 🤷🏻♂️
Hey, welcome back bud. I appreciate Meg too, her old horse face grew on me before she got a makeover
-
I disagree only because I believe map offerings go against the chaotic rng/rps spirit of the game.
Map offerings are what give you the ability to take perks or play styles that are only viable on specific areas to abuse. For example, taking balanced landing on levels that favour Balanced, or using The Game/midwich for scream/starstruck abuse or indoor levels for Scratch Mirror.
I don't think you should be only trying to go for cherry picked conditions so you can have an easy time. The ability to swap to The Plague to counter medkits was removed for similar reasons.
I do actually agree that map design is the problem, but there's only so much of that you can abuse without prep. I can't wait until designing builds around maps will be a thing of the past.
I'm going to miss going to Toba 24/7 for both sides but it's for the greater good
-
Killers would be too OP if they could lunge with impunity
-
Bhvrs general policy is that you won't get banned as long as a reasonable effort is made to TRY to advance the game state.
I've stalled out games for 15+ minutes in the 1v2 and have never gotten banned. That's because I keep making "attempt" to do s generator but typically the killer has too much mobility like Wraith, Blight or Spirit or the other survivor is actively working with the killer.
If you're caught in a never ending stalemate, you have no obligation to concede. as long as you're waiting for a chance. Especially in the 1v2, that typically puts you in the clear because it's the killer dragging the game out. Dropping items while trying to slowly poke a gen or wait until a slug bleeds out isn't a crime.
At this point you're too far in to give up anyways because killers get upset when they find somebody they think is a rat so they'll bleed them out or find some other way to punish them and waste their time. So you have to commit all the way.
Hatch exists to end games that are already over. Other people having an emotional reaction to a survivor going out the hatch isn't the survivors problem. I practice what I preach...just end the game, folks.
So a survivor might think they outplayed you when you in fact showed mercy. So what?
Just as a clarification...I'll go out my way to be friendly and spare a survivor if I sense a REAL rat. Rats and sandbaggers hurt to see even as a killer.
-
I hate to side track with my pointless commentary, but reading this thread makes me crave some My Little Oni lol. The one mode where camping, tunneling and (mostly) slugging are non-issues, and it got no love at all.
Bhvr plz bless us with 1v8 MLO

The issue is the damage to matchmaking that lobby dodging/shopping does, due to how the backfilling works.
They were gonna kill themselves on hook and ruin the match anyways.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
I've noticed that survivors have essentially stopped doing gens as of late. That goes for my survivor games and my killer games. There's almost always 1 or 2 survivors who won't do generators.
The amount of slowdown a killer can stack means that all 4 survivors have to be efficient on gens and have decent chases. In one killer game in particular last night, I had 4 hooks before the first gen was completed. Players simply aren't doing anything. It's an epidemic at this point.
As for why, well... It does feel pretty awful to work a 90 second gen through Pain Res+Grim+Surge+DMS for example. I think the slowdown stacking has to be addressed. 3 and 4 gen slowdowns is completely excessive.
Grim DMS literally makes me just want to space out and just admire the flora and fauna of Toba

Give me Funknown or i riot
Oh, and 2 Legions because why not.

S T O P sending me to Azarovs! I know nobody is sending me there because they legitimately enjoy the realm like how I love Toba Landing.

@BritneyMitch said:
The argument against this isnt even real. If people are lobby dodging because they see perks they dont like isnt that a good thing? Like that player recognized that they were about to get into a game with someone who is either playing for different reasons than them or a different skill level. I do not think dodging lobbies so more like minded people play together is a bad thing.
It's a made up problem to deny QoL improvements under the guise of pretending to act in the best interests of survivors
If somebody wants to dodge because they hate my birds perks then good riddance.
People hyperfocus on the negatives without considering the big picture.
-
I don't care for either tbh. I'd say otr is easier value and more consistent. I'm partial to DS only because I enjoy forcing it with Plot Twist.
