It's beautiful.

first of all, Kaneki needs severe adjustments to autoaim of his power, or even complete removal of it since hits with power are literally free.
Also, a couple of addons need adjustment + enraged mode needs to be a bit tweaked too.
There's no way Jason's mask stays lmao. I tried my signature Pinhead build on him(thrill,Plaything, penti, face the darkness) and my lord those totems were CHILLIN.
-
I've been thinking how to explain to deal with Kaneki in my head, and I think I've found an easy mindset to help; try to treat him like My Little Oni.
MLO gaming is about playing each loop to the fullest. After sleeping on it, I don't recommend MFT at all. The 3% helps get to a loop, but I feel Windows of Opportunity would help ensure you reach safety. I'm a believer in consistency over raw power. A lot of downs I see by Ghoul are him catching people with their pants down, causing the most saddest chases and insta downs. With 2025 dbd maps, I'm often left asking myself "where are all the pallets!?"
I did say to greed by playing loops to the fullest, but this killer is very much deadly like a chainsaw killer; those Pallets WILL drop...and fast. This killer puts your team on a timer. Leave the medkits, grab the toolboxes!
-
I think you summed it up nicely. Nerfing the power recovery a tad would probably help make him more manageable. My time is definitely more valuable than the 1 survivor that's also stunlocked. Plenty of perks get countered by nature of killer powers or map design, so Exhaustion perks having a counter isn't really a big deal. There's plenty of other perk archetypes.
-
Nah, yall always sleep on Legion. I've been stanning them even during pre-AoT with old cornwind and dead hard for distance. Yall really sleep on that killer Instinct.
Ghoul has reveal addons but to Legion, info is basekit. Legion basekit ignores distortion and is a better doctor. You want to get good at killer? Legions still rhe way, because no other killer gives you the metagaming tools needed for split second decisions.

Look, this can be said for some perks…
But you can't say to me that No Quarter or Forever Entwined or Hex: Nothing But Misery or the god-awful Invocation: treacherous Crows are good perks and don't need a change.
If my teammates won't save me from the Ghoul then I'll have to rely on my treacherous crows....leave those poor birds out of this T_T
Ghouls don't like feathers in their meat

UUnknowns Still around and he was the most OP, uncounterable Huntress who can explode entire teams in 1 nuke. Apparently.
There's always a chance he'll be Deathslingered. If you played old Slinger this one is awful. Sometimes ignorance is bliss. But it's better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all, I suppose
-
Honestly he probably needs lower recovery after using power; fast intercept killers like kaneki, Wraith and Legion are something lots of survivors struggle with; people say Legion is bad but even before update if you build them to chase suddenly people don't know what to do. So Kaneki is nothing new to me, so that's what I'd say based off my experience.
I really don't care about the lock on or deep wound, that's just how this hero functions. But some better animations would go a long way I feel, especially for those long range munches
-
I haven't seen any of the cosmetic drops yet despite getting 4500 shards for linking

It seems like survivors don't want any new gameplay, since every time a new killer comes out they immediately throw a tantrum that they can't just run them for 5 gens on their first game and have to actually take time to learn.
I dunno man. Screaming for nerfs after a single day is pretty sad.I remember when unknown had 0 counterplay, was impossible to dodge and too OP. funny how perspective shifts after taking a chill pill

Every team I've been on who's lost to him would have lost to Wraith or Legion. That's how low level they were playing, with almost zero gen efficiency or understanding of the UI. The teams I've been who know what they're doing, they might throw it in the end but they finish 5 gens when the killer has like 4 hooks.
Kaneki is a threat in the 1v1 for sure. If you're used to punishing Demogorgon or Wesker for their really long miss cooldowns, you'll need to give yourself a bit more leeway, because his cooldown is quite fast. But even with his insane mobility, he lacks the map pressure. He just has a big scary terror radius, good chase and injuring potential, and not much else.
I feel like that big TR is working well for Kaneki; you can't spawn in afk and go to the bathroom against him and expect to win you need to actually play but if half your team is spooked by the TR(understandable, since he's fast) them nothing will get done.
Thats what I think, anyway. I play with self care enjoyers+ people spooked by TR so needless to say this killer is indeed Wraith tier

Legion is one of the worst killers in the game. If you want all killers brought to that level you want every killer to just be an m1 killer where you predrop a pallet or 2 and they lose 3 gens?
It's not 2021, Legion is viable. Legion looks bad because people take Thana+ Dying Light and wonder why they can't penetrate ironclad SWF
-
I wish we could opt in at least, I'd love to make Object call outs

Renato isn't cute and is tall, try playing Quentin and see what happens
Poor Quentin, even with a makeover I think he's dbd s most tunneled survivor after Jeryl.

I feel like I used to loop way better too, as in 5-gen runs and stuff. Maybe the killer caliber just got higher or the gen efficiency got lower.
Clutter and odd geometry probably don't help. Loops almost seem designed these days for somebody to randomly have their headphones caught on a branch as they zoom by

What's been my strategy? Well, I'm quite the Autodidakt, so it always evolves on the fly, but it does feel like I was Made for This. Apply some Finesse with an Iron Will and a MedKit for emergencies and you'll be going toe-to-toe with the true One Eyed King if not the Dragon in no time.
Auto doc...that sounds genius.
-
More handsome than Thalita, I'll give him that.
-
Plz Mr Ghoul man start slugging so I can use wglf AND mft :(
-
This has huge implications for me; I CAN NOW FINALLY USE THE L4D SAFE ROOM EXIT FOR KILLER!!!
Your only place of safety....is in death! >.>
-
I enjoy killing him cuz he's kinda ugly...I'm sorry. And he's given me flashbang ptsd.
I let one go last night using the new Tokyo Ghoul skin id feel bad about eating my best friend
-
I main chase Legion I can't wait to get my hands on it and see where my power levels at.
Work can't finish fast enough..

It could be a passion issue; try new perks or builds to keep yourself engaged. I live for perks

To be honest I thought it was a fair change, his tail was humanly impossible to react to, the animation was only 0.2s, and the average human reaction time is around 0.25s. In other words, you needed to have pre-cognition and dodge before he used his tail, which was quite frustrating.
You can use empathy to react to the tail.
-
This killer is more fun to face than Wraith and huntress so it's a win to me!
-
First 2 weeks of Chucky was chucky 247. I played nothing but chucky that I went insane and started maining scene Partner because of him.
This is just not accurate.
-
For me I keep hitting 1100 ping. I don't get it, I'm a city slicker now. My net out in the sticks was consistently 130 ping.

Yeah I was theorizing even then with open handed it’s still dependent on your team also running aura, and let’s be so fr with the majority perk picks lol. What is the synergy between treacherous crows and calm spirit? Because I feel like I’m missing it. Will you explain so I understand? Because I feel like I’m falling short following the thought process other than stealth building, even then I would probably go with iron will over calm spirit with treacherous crows. Ie like Resilience(or prove thyself), iron will, treacherous crows, insert something else like lightweight, distortion, or calm spirit. Calm spirit wouldn’t be my first string but definitely an option for a fourth pick. Honestly I think distortion or lightweight would still be the better fourth insert to do a treacherous crows build considering how high risk you are and they would offer more value consistently across matches, but calm spirit still a very solid choice to go with it. Where’s your head at?
Crow Perk only works if a survivor is inside a TR when a killer scares a bird; this allows calm spirit users to use the crow perk mid chase. Your teammates won't find the perk as useful since they scare the birds themselves . Then you also need Eyes of Belmont since you can quite literally blink and miss the aura

ohh I’ll have to try that, thank you friend 🫶 because that might actually give it the legs I feel like it’s missing that makes me go meh.
Its pretty much mandatory if you actually like to run the perk, like calm spirit is to Treacherous Crows. I think Still sight is decent, but the opportunity cost of half a build can be a tough ask when you don't know if your next killer is a Wraith

I figured that too. It’s time for the MFT meta again😈 gonna get so much value from it with the wave of Kaneki and the legion enjoyers
I appreciate you putting on your warface

Languid Touch and Genetic Limits are two perks you can run to inflict Exhausted and thus deny survivors their Lithe. Some killers have add-ons that pair really well with either of these perks.
The popularity of Lithe and exhaustion perks in general already made me create a sort of counter build on Artist 😂.https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/84PX1Q5WLMLI/20250319203745-1.jpg
Even Zanshin works too; Lithe players are predictable.
OP, I can handle Lithe. For me it's Finesse.
-
Trust me, this was how I already played. Survivors still aren't used to Legions who can down people.
"What the heck?! I'm on timeout! You can't stab Me again!"
-
KIllers actually sent themselves to GoJ when Toba Landing was right there??? Seriously??
-
M2 killers have plenty of options to choose from already
-
SSometimes, Kinda depends on my build. For example, with 2nd wind no i hate being chased, at least first.
I rock scene Partner a lot so those games I'm down

They very rarely put this kind of thing in the patch notes, but changing tile spawns, replicating tires to other maps (usually the weaker tiles), tile chain prevention, pallet and tile RNG weighting, and so on are things they are regularly changing.
This is also why I make it a point to include this any time game balance is being discussed, since "weakening the strength of maps, tiles, and pallets" has been an ongoing effort (by demand) and usually only the full map reworks ever make it into patch notes.
Just one of the many ways they've been pushing kill rates higher over the past few years at this point.
I remember in peak Skull Merchant era they made the gens favour her more like with making 2 gens spawn in the rpd main lobby consistently

Sometimes I wish we could see who upvoted and downvoted posts, just so we figure out who's being weird.
But that might be a bad idea overall.
I admit to sometimes upvoting wild takes purposefully to fan the flames but that's some next level dedication..
-
I can't play "web" based killers like Sadako, Dredge or Xenomorph. I feel beholden to object spawn RNG, and sometimes survivors just don't care about it at all and can safely pre run everything. So when they are too aware, I just feel useless.
Coins make me feel bad, man
-
Sometimes I try to get value out of something, whether it be wicked+ second wind in the End Game or trying to coordinate a head on play in solo with Empathic Connection.
Who cares if I die if somebody sees me tbagging and realizes what it is I'm trying to do
-
First main: Jake (i was laid off and Old Man Jake looked homeless)
Current main: Legion, Wolf, Lisa Garland
Fav map: TOBA TOBA TOBA
fav perk: right now I'm crushing on Treacherous Crows : 3
Fav item: Blight serum
Favourite "chapters": Nicolas Cage and Attack on Titan
How many p100s: Feng Min; i figured a high prestige Min + flashy or killable outfits like S.T.A.R.S. will make killers tunnel me on their own without me looking I want to be chased. Those Feng moans bring all the killers to my yard. Get bamboozled, killers!
Hours: working my way up to 4000
-
Preserving the crawl speed would be all the perk needs to retain some of its original flavour
-
What's considered a win? Because I'd gladly die to secure a 3 man out. That's a win to me. But if a win is an escape, then hiding all game becomes a comp strat and I'm bad at the game for even trying. How do you gauge skill?
-
Ramming drones reminds me too much of playing Vice City as a kid ramming helicopter blades into pedestrians lol
-
BBest Way to handle bullying is to recognize that it's happening and to be patient and bide your time for an opening.
These gamers will start strong by farming their 3x Flashbangs but eventually somebody has to do the gens. If 2 or 3 people are following you I treat em as deadweight and try to get the guy on gens
Pretend to get angry. Pretend to tunnel. Let em think you're bothered. But when it matters, never give them what they want. Keep your eye on that prize

I've had salty people try and report me for giving hatch but I'm still kickin. Bunny Fengs hopping around are my weakness. Sorry, Steve...
Diplomacy is a legitimate tactics and unfortunately your teammates simply got out perked in the 1v1v1.
