You'd still want the event as you are helping reach the bigger BP gains sooner. The sooner we hit 500% the sooner we can all go back to regular
You'll be home by Christmas!

I'll play it until the bonus is maxed out but then I'm back to normal mode, blood gens aren't fir me, gameplay wise or bp wise.
Thanks for doing your part o7

Only way to encourage the dropping of cans is to make a healthy survivor want to use stealth. Maybe expose perk like Starstruck.
-
The changes came in this dev update; they are nerfing Pentimento. That's the Pinhead rework
-
This mode may as well be default; we need as many soldiers on the Frontlines to meet those event quotas! Get off the main queue folks!
-
I'm gonna miss the Haste stacking. More fun and wacky builds are gone
-
I don't think its op but it's a perk that benefits the least fun playstyle to face as killer; pre running.
Its not the rarest thing for me to see triple Finesse. Have fun playing Oni or Nemesis into that

He's saying he wants to take you out on a date and finds you very interesting. You better offer up a smooch if he pays for the meal. Especially considering how much food prices have gone up over the past 5 years. 🤣
(Kidding of course lol)
unless.... 🤔
I thought he was riding off into the sunset or something. Pulsar is the dbd equivalent of "where is Ja?" So I was worried for a sec

This gutter trash killer is an abomination designed for the lowest of skill floors. This thing needs, on top of merciless nerfs that I hope make the players cry real tears of rage and sorrow, tweaks on its beyond absurd hitbox.
Tears of rage and sorrow? Bro…
I sure am glad BHVR released this chapter and then decided to hide in the bomb shelter if that's the kinda feedback they're gonna get
-
Some events have different metas and this time Pigs number is up. I don't think its a big deal, you can pick a different hero or adjust your load out.
Survivors adapt to new metas by altering their loadouts(Fixated) well just have to do the same.
Killers are just tools at the end of the day. You don't have to play just 1 character until the end of time.
-
Slinger doesn't need to be a joke, he just is. I didn't like his old TR but I sure miss his faster shots
-
If You're gonna suggest anime facetiously you could offer a legitimate choice like Shinichi from Parasyte : p
But for real, a Mystery Inc. Survivor chapter would go so hard
-
Just my 2 cents but I can handle what Kaneki brings to the table, but his recovery after power is probably the sore spot that sticks out the most.
I can handle the hitscan lockon free hit, but the ability to m1 so fast is kinda the deal breaker.
-
This is an interesting challenge! To be fair, if bhvr didn't do this, the forums would be blowing up about how lame pain res+dead man's is on these event gens
So I think this is the best way to test this feature, free of all the perk and power creep.

Unironically Pig got nerfed along with Freddy since the blood gens don't activate RBT. 🙃 Seems that BHVR has their priorities in order as usual.
so watchu doin now, bud? Bustin out those party hats at the start? Or saving the hats for later? Or is this just the time to let Piggys knees rest?
-
Well have a good time estimate by this weekend; it's hard to gauge progress by a work day.
-
I don't feel like I'm getting rushed per se, but rather I'm finding it harder to find people. It's probably all the Fixated gaming, which may give the illusion of facing literal geninjas
-
Im kinda fine not getting much. I'm curious to test out gens that are immune to generator perks, I'm adapting my builds to rise to this challenge.
These events change how survivors play, sometimes I find it interesting to observe how the local wildlife will respond to the new stimuli.
Events like these are a good excuse to horse around. In fact, I think tonight is a "Count Barkula " night
-
The lunar event style gen of giving all survivors BP on completion needs to be the standard
-
Precisely why I think healing under hook against kaneki should be illegal; doing so is depending on charity.
Friends til the end is pretty nutty too
-
I wish the decay were slower id love to "wake up" a couple blood gennies
-
Skull Merchant only seemed tolerable because she would never chase. So for people who typically go down fast, skull Merchant era was actually a nice change of pace since you'd be slow boiled.
Kaneki as he is is just an overtuned Wraith/chase Legion. Kaneki is fixable, Skull Merchant never was.
-
I'm a natural Resilience gamer so I love all the usual suggestions! Just for the sake of spicy and scandalous conversation, I'll tip my hat to Treacherous Crows.
I'm gonna be injured anyways, so I may as well put the birds to work. Kaneki has a large TR but on some levels a large tr doesn't help and just spooks solo q.

FWIW MFT isn't actually that effective vs Kaneki - yes, it does something, but when compared to the effect it has on other killers like Legion or Slinger (or any M1 killer too if they can force Endurance) he's shockingly adept at dealing with it. So I don't mind seeing MFT stacked across the lobby, because that's one perk that isn't one I actively dislike.
The best thing Mft offers imo is squeezing full value out of each pallet as mft let's you greed some crazy pallets. It makes sense since you really don't want to pre drop vs Kaneki you want to treat him like MLO by forcing the stun.
I feel it's overrated, it's really not a Kaneki counter. But it does help in the playstyle that Kaneki demands.
Is it worth the opportunity cost of 1/4th of your build, in a slot that competes with Resilience or WoO? Imo, if you're not comfortable playing unsafe Pallets, it's best to drop MFT for maybe Balanced Landing or maybe even an info perk like Alert or he'll, even something insane like OoO
-
Gen rush is your best bet; slap on Resilience and reject those offhook heals. You get more value spreading out than clumping up. Your life is on a timer like with Bubba once those Pallets are gone you're dead so you really need those gens going before yall die.
Some slight stealth and info go a long way, too. From my own personal experience running Treacherous Crows, I don't feel any more at risk vs this killer being permanently broken with Iron Will than I do normally.

I had someone dc against wraith the moment I hit another survivor 😅 I guess he didn't like seeing thantaphobia pop up
Thana is a "go next" perk now.
-
Now this is the kind of metagaming I can get behind. I prefer WoO and Resilience though personally. Gen rush is the key right now

the only people enjoying the killer are the ones playing it because they cant sit there barely even trying and just get 4ks everytime because either everyone just dies super fast due to how op it is or people see its the new killer and just go next on hook.
That's just not true. Is he op and overtuned, sure. But he'll get nerfed. But even with a numbers change, that won't change what he brings to the table, and there's plenty of survivors who can appreciate a killer you have to loop.
For years, survivors have complained about strong anti loop killers whose only counterplay is to hold forward and leave early. Now we have a killer who counters hold forward and forces you to loop. That is gonna be appreciated.
Even if Kaneki is stronger, I'll take him over Hag or Knight because I just don't find them fun regardless of their power level.
What makes Kaneki upsetting is either you cannot loop, or your teammates do not respect you looping and just do nothing while you burn the pallets. Problem #1 can be fixed with practice, problem #2....I got nothing for that one.
-
I prefer face the Darkness and play thing because I'm a nice guy killer who tries to hook everybody once :)
-

Just pre drop pallets and the ghoul will die
im not convinced this actually works. I feel you need to treat him like a MLO killer and play the pallet a bit tighter and pray for the stun; Kaneki vaulting the pallet could be really bad for you since you cant run back into him. Dissolution is quite popular too so I think that habit could backfire
i feel tight looping+ chaining the tiles is the way to go. Pray that the gens get done before the level becomes a wasteland
-
This feature is awesome. No more suffering from toxic sweaty slugger who cant just finish a game and humanely put their victims out of their Misery.
Killing a bot is no fun, but the game is over. Allow me to recognize defeat and gracefully concede and q into the next game. The entitlement got out of hand by others expecting survivors to sit there, possibly for a couple minutes as the last survivor spite-loops just so somebody can mori their favourite survivor
-
This level is terrible. I'm a rare breed who is "enjoying" going against Ghoul, but man Haddonfield blooooooows. This level is atrocious to see Ghoul, Huntress and Knight.
Don't get me wrong, I hated old haddonfield. I hated it so much I mained Agitation on Demo so in the off chance I got sent there, I'd use that perk to cheese the level as punishment. But those days are long gone. Why do we need to continue suffering here?
-
Dbd has a wide variety being the Smash Bros of horror that I love to check out the various sources materials. There's something for everybody. Some things weren't my initial first choices, but checking them out sure was fun. I was really surprised they added Japanese Ringu, for example. And now I think that was a keen choice.
Checking out dbd source material is like, a quarter of the fun . Bhvr put in love and care integrating TG by making Kaneki an original sort of killer instead of using somebody from the show; these guys aren't trying to smash random junk in and call it a day.
-
If survivors are aware and don't go down in 6 seconds there are better killers you could take. But Kaneki is an excellent mistake punisher, I'd argue he demands too much from survivors. I think for a round 1 nerf, a hit to power CD and power recovery would go a long way, and then take it from there.
His overall design isn't something I hate. A killer that forces me to loop instead of mindlessly making call outs and pre running is cool. But not everybody else is in a team

better yet, don’t run invocation perks at all. F-tier perks
Having holier than thought teammates gatekeeping perks sure is a good self fulfilling prophecy to ensure a perk stays terrible.
Invocation are rough as it is, the last thing we need are reminders from our own team.
With John Ghoul running around, being broken not a big deal anyways.
-
I like info against him, with a sprinkle of stealth. I don't recommend this build, but for example my Treacherous Crows build has had some close calls by having John Ghoul zip into me but he thinks I'm a bush since I make no noise.(crow, calm spirit, iron will, eyes of belmont)
Gen rush is good too. Resilience my beloved! Acts as gen progress and doubles as a chase perk. Leave the medkits, grab the toolboxes!

It has never been this bad. There is always a few here and there that would break it up and it would even die down after a few days. I would actually be happy with a tombstone Myers at this point.
We say this evrrytime a good killer comes out. Chucky. Dracula. Vecna. Wesker. It's always been this way.

Allow me to introduce myself.
- A person that plays Hag and Wraith.
Remind me to never get on your bad side!
-
Don't get me wrong. This killer is STRONG. what really elevates him is survivor inefficiency and current map design. If Survivors just don't know what they are doing, they get rolled hard. But what if they go up against position conscious looper?
I think at most he needs a cooldown recovery nerf after using power and some better munch animations (less rock eating) but after that he'll be better from the survivor pov.
For a real easy roll, Vecna was so much easier. My first time playing him i got a 40 Windstreak just messing around. I'm not getting those results with this killer against good competition. This killer sure does a number on self care lobbies though

Currently the killer stops the survivor dead in their tracks, interrupting any exhaustion perk they might be using, and isn't giving any "on hit" speed boost like any other attack.
The killer can also bypass the recovery cooldown apparently.
So those bugs combined means you can gain zero distance and are stunned while the killer is able to two tap you from healthy nearly instantly.
I don't necessarily think this is as much a design problem, as not working as intended (to be as fair as possible). But the bugs are absolutely an issue that needs to be fixed.
It doesn't? Like plagues sickness? I've never noticed, but that is definitely something that should be fixed. Countering exhaustion is one thing, he already counters hold W like plague counters medkits so I don't mind but if survivors aren't getting a boost after a munch that'd be a huge problem. Is this consistent?
-
What's wrong with being munched on? Just because something plays different doesn't automatically make it horrible. The animation lock is worse for the Kaneki anyways.
-
So what's your opinion on prayer tablet plague?

Literately facts. I was talking to someone saying how adding this weeb slop is just sort of cringe tbh. Sure Tokyo Ghoul is a "horror" anime series, but not in the same scope as a game like Dead By Daylight. DBD is not anime horror. It's slasher horror and it should stay that way.
Sounds like you had your mind made up from the get go.
-
the only solution is play 2 weeks after a new dlc if you don't want to see new content. However, if a killer becomes unpopular then you may miss out on some field research.
I can't find enough Vecnas to save my life. I want to keep practicing against him so I don't get rusty but they are a rare breed now. Unknown too.
-
If everybody is playing ghoul, then nobody can ruin my dbd by playing Hag or Wraith
-
Killers would need an across thr board nerf. Killers should just expect every match to be a 4man swf and play based off that assumption. I've never liked taking advantage of lack of communication it feels like cheating

Otz underplayed how powerful Ken was going to be like CRAZY. Probably a huge part of why bhvr did next to nothing to tune him when moving over to live. Not necessarily the same thing as what you're saying but it is interesting that even he had to admit; and I quote, "oops ghoul is much stronger than I thought". Like c'mon bro you should've known he was gonna be a problem. Everyone was just too excited ig they didn't think for a second how oppressive Ken would be… Well besides the vocal minority who played the ptb and got ignored but who gives af about those slime rats am I right?
His whole chat was roasting kaneki so hard I had to switch to Hens to get some more reasonable takes. But that's not on otz I guess, we all have our preferences, styles, metas etc.
-
TThere's So many perks to pick from, how do you settle on 4?
I'd recommend Yoichis Empathic Connection it's a really solid perk with various applications if you love your fellow man. You can wake up gates with it, call for heals, and maybe make a head on play for example.
Babysitter is boss, well make it is clutch, and sometimes looking out for yourself is the best way to help others; Resilience can give you Resilience in chase, but also allow you to press that final gen and power through
-
Idk why I've been running into it but yeah I've been facing Kindred lately. love to see it. It's one of those perks you just can't hate.
Thr Ghoul demands efficiency, so I think Kindred makes a ton of sense.
