What… what is your complaint? I don't understand. As Wezqu pointed out the spears lack the range, speed, and hitbox of huntress hatchers. There is also a speed decrease when he draws. I don't understand. Can you help us by clarifying your complaint a little bit?

Quite clearly, the spears have the hitbox of a school bus would imply they are too large and should more accurately represent something more the size of… possibly a spear! I'll pray for you, lil bro.

  • DBD has a lot of moments like this. The 'hump-tech' you're describing above but even t-bagging and some of the Moris are very intimate and darkly suggestive. It's just how the overall game and community likes it i guess. What else we gonna play?

  • @MikeStev said:

also can you promise no Leaderboard in the future?

Please spare some space for us : Casual Gamer

Please stop bringing dbd more and more in a competitive direction

    Bro those are terrible ideas

  • @ME_WeT_SauZe said:

I still have quite a lot of work myself but once you play enough and find the right killer for you things get easier, just as long the matchmaking doesn't throw you into a match with really high ranked survivors. That actually happens a lot more than you would think. And watch ohtofu and otzdarva on youtube they do really good gameplay reviews and tutorials on all killers

It's 'Git Gud'* and like.. a day for each killer.

  • @eff said:

I genuinely don't understand people who bully the killer after the game. Just had a swf (well, ofc it's a swf) who called me every single name from noob to dumb ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ for not getting a 4k. I mean, what's your problem, people? Without killers you wouldn't be able to play, you know the queue times for survivors. And even if the killer isn't doing good, what's your problem with that? You escaped, right? So?

And if you do kill all of them, they still get all salty. Maybe you shouldn't play games if your nervous system is this bad?

Also, I think having an urge to spam ctrl is some sort of illness too. So please, book an appointment.

    Just leave the match?

  • Camping and tunneling happen the majority of games i play. Only thing to do since devs have done nothing is deal with it. Some killers are bigger dicks than others.

I’m new to the game and bought it because it seemed fun, especially the killer role. But I have really bad anxiety and didn’t anticipate how stressful it could be. My first game put me against purple ranked survivors. I hit three people the entire game. No downs. No hooks. I chose Billy and kept running into things, lol. I figured it was because I was new and they were so above my rank, so I tried again even though that experience was awful.

Luckily, after that first game, I somewhat consistently got at least two other grey/yellow ranked people. I managed to get to rank 13 with Huntress and only Huntress. But it’s mostly because new players literally run in a straight line. It wasn't long before I ended up encountering people who knew how to dodge, and I realized I’m a terrible Huntress. It's kind of amazing how bad I am at hitting targets.

So, how long did it take you guys to get to a point where you were at least semi-confident in yourself? Who did you start out with?

I’m not complaining about being bad, by the way. I didn’t expect to be a pro on my first few tries, and I sincerely don’t care about losing. I'm just asking because I feel extraordinarily bad. Like, worse than average. And it's kind of discouraging. It would just be nice to know about everyone else's journey into becoming a decent killer main.

And, side note, I really wish they had a tutorial mode for each killer.

    Git Gud

  • 27 to 7.. that's a whole lot of good honesty.

Killer is easy blood points but I have friends that play this game so survivor is better.

  • You all really just proved this dudes post with spamming out "NaH We SeE NeRf NoED!". Lmao bunch of clown mains here...

  • @Peanits said:

You've always had the power to deal with teabagging. You are the killer. You move faster than them, you can hit them, and you even have a power to help you do so. If anything, it was in favour of killers for years since the guy on the hook can't just hit the killer to make it stop.

Absolute facts! Peanits knows what the people want.

  • @Getya_Mad said:

How about this: At least allow the killer to know when he is playing against an SWF team, or change the SFW to five people and let the SWF team figure out who gets to be killer. Survivors have plenty of advantages once the game starts without the benefit of communication with each other. Just a thought. Its not fun from a Killer perspective to hear two of your gens pop off because the person your chasing is either really good or really bad and dropping every pallet on the map before you. Honestly, try running the Ski Lodge against an SFW and see how long it takes you to down one survivor.

Bruh it's a competitive multiplayer game. You want CoD to get rid of parties too? BHVR would never go for something so dumb. Git gud.

  • @SlingerKing said:

Why is the killer punished when someone aggressively unhooks someone right in front of them and he Downs them. I'm not talking about Downing the person that was just unhooked I'm talking about downing the unhooker this is stupid and it's a total crutch perk that needs to be fixed.

The perk is meant to be an anti tunneling perk not a get-out-of-jail-free perk.

Translation: "I can't tunnel or be toxic and that makes me salty.". Git gud and stop bothering Devs over made up problems.

  • @Redhawk_uk2 said:

I noticed in matches I would place my trail and it would vanish within seconds and it turns out that unlike every other killer, Mr Pyramid isn't allowed to put his power near gens, exit gates and hatches. I don't understand why he has this restriction when you can put a hag trap or a trapper trap practically on top of these places?

What does every think of these "dead zones".

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/2ENP0DJ5GJBM/screenshot-20200616-184618-chrome.jpg

Because they dont want to encourage killers being toxic and annoying.

  • @csandman1977 said:

Give it time. Many pyramid heads are going to stop using cages.

    1 BBQ. Bloodpoints are important.

    2 Pop. Best slowdown perk.

3 his mori. His built in mori needs the survivir to be tormented. Getting rescued from a cage removes torment. Hooking people keeps them tormented.

The cage is good at certain points in the game. The hook is good for most of the game.

See the main issue there is with your first point. Killer mains actually run on salt as opposed to blood points.

  • @OmegaXII said:

To be honest, every time i see PH tunnelling posts, it reminds me how strong DS and BT is.

DS and BT only work on tunneling killers soo.. Yeah they're strong because salty killers are everywhere.

  • @adalesmo said:

They've been buffing killer nonstop for a really long time and introducing new killers who simply don't have reasonable counters. if a doctor actually uses his ability optimally, there is no counterplay if you cannot interact with either a window or a pallet for 2.5 seconds. Few doctors are able to do so, it seems, but there is absolutely no counterplay when you come across them. You can hope to luck out and get a spin or other dodge, but the odds are miniscule, at best. If you're running deafblind against a Spirit - as you fundamentally are - you have no ability to tell where she is, if she's using her ability to begin with, etc., to decide what to do next. If an Oni gets his ability, you're screwed unless you and everyone else hide for the entire duration of his ability, since with his flick, being downed is unavoidable. Deathslinger is basically a ranged Spirit, since he can shoot you instantly, giving no reasonable opportunity to avoid his hit.

Even before all of this, the devs said the average kills per game were >2.5.

Been playing for many years, but the direction the game is heading in is pretty unhealthy, especially for solo queue survivors, but that's another issue altogether. Soon killers will be getting free 4ks with no skill required (some already are) - since the opposing side can't reasonably do anything to prevent being downed.

Careful exposing the Killer community, that's tOxiC.

  • @gatsby said:

Killers really seem to get angry at the perk. Like the amount of times I've been tunneled off hook is a little insane. Let me use my dang perk in peace thx. Even when I get the heal off, being tunneled is still lame and makes me not want to run it.

Is Second Wind toxic or something?

Second Wind isnt toxic. Salty killers are the problem.

  • @Financial_Stability said:

I dunno it seems kinda weird that a survivor knows they're oblivious. Especially around demo portals, it clues them that there is a trap near them.

Basically the story is simple OoO im freddy, i knew it was gonna be a hard match. i managed to kill them but ace was toxic one of the characters i blocked his names but im gonna probably submit a ticket. im gonna do it actually.

he was toxic and then i just let him die on floor without taking game hostage, yes i literally placed myself above ace and shake my camera a bit but he also t bag me multiple times with object, in the end i didnt take game hsotage and i couldnt do anything different i didnt have hooks neither i picked him up when he was about to die and then i dropped him i did it because i wanted to see if i could get a hook, i couldnt find any then he died. @Peanits @MandyTalk and others, can you adress this situation, i can give you their names in private. this cant stay like it is, they recorded the game, they played toxic like ass** and they they trheating me because i let him die on floor, survivors in a nutshell they cant stand losing when they play with their 4 man swf squad. i got the pictures without the censored parts and the full discusion, tehy literally said you cant do that, you know what u did, you are gonna get banned i know devs, im gonna send the video, sad is that they literally tried to ruin my fun during the game so i ruined their fun and now trying to get me banned, survivors cant be more patethic tbh and it makes me sad. i reported them for harrasing and now im gonna submit a ticket aswell. the worst part is taht i dont even know if they actually know wich stuff is reportable and wich is not, getting slugged for 4 minutes is not reportable even if i placed myself in front of you watching you die, wich is more i didnt have any hook nearby anyway. is beyond my understanding is like if some people didnt even have a functional brain.

    Playing Freddy deserves a ban.

Can you guys give me some perk builds that are actually fun cause it’s getting really stale. I have all perks on nancy so I can do anything really.

    Currently i’ve been doing

    Vigil, Sprint Burst, Fixated, Hope.

And it’s nice to mix the game up.

    Any others like that?

Best solo build is Spine Chill, Resiliance, Dead Hard, and Kindred. Take surviving into your own hands because solo is booty rn.

  • Attempt to Dead Hard and wind up on the ground exhausted..

  • @TheCursedTitan said:

I currently just get on the game after rank reset and feel like playing a little trapper, but as usual I get the SWF that everyone decides to bring a flashlight, Lightborn is good and all but to sacrifice a perk slot for it and completely like have to adapt to a different style of playing is difficult especially when you don’t have Lightborn, I’m usually a survivor but this is a thing that bugs me most, only one person should have a flashlight in a friends group it’s unfair to the killer who doesn’t have said Lightborn when he gets blinded 4 times in a row due to survivors over all abusing the fact they can all bring a flashlight and chain blind in general, one survivor may not be able to chain blind but all of them can one right after the other and that’s enough to make anyone dc due to the fact it’s just really frustrating especially when you just wanna have fun but people again make the game annoying to play, probably gonna get hate for this but let’s be honest everyone hates something. Laters

If you're that sorry over flashlights then run the perk designed for them. Stop changing a game cause YOU gotta problem.

  • @NitpickDropkick said:

the killer experience at rank one is stressful at its best and just dreadful at its worst. I have heard many killer main streamers/youtubers complain of the same fact. Its just not worth sweating your ass off ever game just to have a chance and im done with it.

I have lost all hope that these devs have any clue how to fix their game and im sick of SWF groups roaming around in a game that was clearly balanced around solo que. I was looking forward to the balancing map changes and im saddened to see that only the most obvious of issues was even looked at. This leads me to think that the balance team of DBD plays and balances around what feels right for low skill solo players. Ruin was nerfed into oblivion entirely because new players understandably couldn't hit that skillcheck, so the devs removed it. Even though at high ranks it only gave the killer a sliver of respite from gens flying. Pretty good job so far.

DBD is a great idea, ruined by incompetence. And I don't think its going to get better anymore. Anyone in a similar situation to me and is fed up with this nonsense, go play Escape from Tarkov. Its a game that can crank the intensity to 11 like dbd, but made by devs who actually care.

Killer is easy, stop being a baby. Nobody who "quits" writes a novel about quitting. You're just venting about a bad game or two.

  • @Rydog said:

Can you please address the sanctioned griefing mechanic that is the Memento Mori? It moves the game's goalposts like no other mechanic in DBD, and I don't understand what the upshot of it is, for anyone. The red mori effectively erases a life from every survivor, and it takes Bloodpoint-earning opportunities away from killers.

Aside from "it's funsies for the killer to throw a grenade into the center of the match for kicks," I don't get it. And that's a stupid reason anyway. Like, what is even the design philosophy behind these items? Why do you believe they are enjoyable, or what do they add to the game? Why is DBD better off with these items as-is?

Also, dear repliers: I already headed off all of your whataboutisms. I'll repeat: The Memento Mori moves the game's goalposts like no other mechanic. It fundamentally torpedoes the basic game flow to a degree that no single perk, item, power, or add-on possibly can. Keys are the only other thing that mess with the game flow nearly this bad, but that is an entirely different topic that I also feel strongly about (I'm only mentioning that here out of some warped sense that I need to provide some sort of balance for all the inevitable empty SURVIVOR MAIN / KILLER MAIN replies, which incidentally is a tactic that doesn't work on me because I don't favor either role).

Moris are dumb. They are a terminally bad design choice. I don't know why they still exist in the game in this form (and no, I don't care for any "well they're better than they used to be" rationalizing, either).

Big facts! Moris ruin the game and encourage salty killers to tunnel off hook.

  • Not any of them really. This isn't a horror game anymore.

  • @CriticalWeasel said:

I've been playing this game for about 5 hours today and every single team.. literally EVERY team has been red ranks and I'm a rank 10 killer :)))) literally all day. Haven't moved from rank 10 once cos of this

Maybe get some kills against the Red Ranks? Idk that's kind of a wild idea

  • @SweetTerror said:

I've been playing this game for a couple of months now and I've managed to work my way to level 13 killer (not bad considering I only have a few hours a day to play this game😊). But it's gotten to the point to where I keep facing red rank swf and...it's not fun anymore. Nothing worse than approaching the exit door and seeing all four survivors lined up in a row teabagging you as they walk out (true story!).

Recently I leveled up Freddy to the point to where I really want to play him, but all I keep getting matched up against are red ranks. It's nice to think if this game considers me to be that good, but I know I'm not! LOL

Is anyone else a little too apprehensive to play killer? I find playing as a lone survivor far less nerve-wracking, because I'd rather be paired up with a red rank instead of going up against them.

    Don't be a baby.

  • @Reniat said:

So im playing as Demo at rank 1, and im playing pretty poorly. Make some pretty glaring mistakes, and end REALLY behind. At this point I just decide "im getting tilted, I'll just quit and reset for a bit." Why bother continuing to get dumped on if i'm just not hitting my groove.

I leave the game, and then say something simple like "just playing badly. Wanted it to be done.". IMMEDIATELY all of the survivors start just shitting on me. Calling me #########, telling me to uninstall, it was like someone turned on the toxic hose and sprayed it into the chat.

I get people on the internet will be toxic, but the sheer amount of toxicity I experience in this game on a weekly basis is just something I've never experienced in my years of playing games online.

This game in particular was after a string of bad games for me (I've had a rough night in the fog), and it just really makes me want to be done. This game is SO REWARDING and fun 80% of the time, but it genuinely makes me feel like trash the other 20%.

Probably because you spend your free time as a homicidal killer chasing people. Either 'git gud' or DC.

Fractured cowshed was the map, pallets everywhere.

    Grabs getting cancelled.

Toxic gg ez messages post game.

Nope im out. Im a rank 1 killer on ps4 and theres too many bugs that punish killers.

Theres too many broken mechanics that reward survivors.

I play for the pips, I never bring a mori because Moris only get you a black pip.

Hopefully the game gets fixed soon and i also mean moris.

  • Lmaoo absolutely yes. Too many sensitive killer mains and it would bring in younger people which results in more players. Behavior, I want a dance move where I spin into a split and bang my balls on the floor in front of the killer! This is not a horror game anymore, just stop it. This mess is as competitive as CoD..

  • @AnnoyedAtTheGame said:

SWF groups are ruining this game so much. When is the issue going to be address by the devs to make it fair for the killers and also solo survivors?

Why are new players being punished by being put up against the pro SWF groups?

Where is the balance in this game?

Maybe stay out of Red and Purple ranks? This is a social game, people play with their friends. Killing SWF could actually stop this game. Remember, just DC and let the survs have a laugh.

  • @Trollthem said:

Dear devs , You nerfed the toolboxes , new killer perks doesnt help against gen rush ....Please understand that Perks/item nerfs are USELESS can you just fix the damn gameplay , it annoys every killers , even some big streamers are annoyed about the gen rush

You cant even chase 1 minute there's already two/three gens done , i enjoy the new killer but i cant enjoy it enough because of the gen rush , i must constantly stress about 'Oh where should i go , lets protect the gens , dont chase anymore go protect the gens' Its really annoying playing killers right now so you really should work about this its your biggest problem right there and you have to open your eyes.

If you dont fix the gen rush then i'll invite everyone to just unrank yourself on purpore and bully the new players at low rank , to see if they'll stay in the game or not , because if they don't fix this asap i'll just find my 'fun' against the beginners .

Lmaoo you're gonna get the WHOOLLEE damn community to derank? Bruh just be better... Like tf else are survivors supposed to do? Sitting on a gen for +80 seconds is already enough small talk time.

  • If you are in a lobby as a solo surv, it is almost guaranteed because you cannot coordinate how many totems are left. So that means you have to search for every single hidden totem and make sure they're broken.

Also, it awards killers who couldn't get it done during the actual match. A speed boost and insta-down is literally what you would give to someone struggling.

  • Seeing alot about farming. I cannot say I know the intricacies of the bloodpoint economy, but I doubt there's a ton of people with nothing better to do than farm a currency as worthless as these for 20 minutes back to back. Like... it's Dead by Daylight. What am I gonna save up for? A purple medkit?

  • Then don't opt in to rematch.

  • @Volfawott said:

That means most builds and perks with only really work once.

Well guys we know he has discordance so nobody work on a Gen together

Nea as decisive strike better make sure I slug her

Killer has Devour hope or Noed better destroy totems

Killer has nurses better not heal in The Terror radius

Blood warden better 99 or leave immediately

    You get the picture

Then change your build during intermission.

  • Stop whining and run BBQ, Ruin and NOED like every other toxic killer. You'll get at least 2 survs every game guaranteed!

  • @Bongbingbing said:
Don't know if anyone has posted this before but here goes.
SWF Ranking is kind of messed up, I see it all the time on streams where they are playing SWF and are matched with a killer who gets destroyed because they're going against red ranks.

My Suggestion is, instead of an overall average of ranks which i think is the case now, have the group match to a killer of the highest rank in the group?
That might seem a bit harsh but to be fair, SWF are already unbalanced.
_ (Knowing where the killer is all the time, Knowing when to hide, what gens have been kicked/ are being worked on, Where the totems are if one survivor has seen, who's going to save from hooks, when to distract the killer, Where traps are placed, what pallets have been used... ect..)_

You're probably a killer main, play enough survivor you'll realize unless you get one hell of a squad 8 games out of 10 it is just a dysfunctional mess. Survivors are self-centered and pretty stupid, SWF communication between at least 2 people helps keep each other in check.

  • @Dreamnomad said:
I was all prepared to make some snarky comment like "Congratulations!! You've posted the 1,000,000th thread about camping!". But since you used the word genuine, I'll give you a genuine reply. When I first started playing the game I was a camping monster. Every game. Camp. Camp. Camp. I was really blood thirsty. I didn't care about bloodpoints. I didn't care about salt. I didn't care if everyone except one survivor died. I just wanted to see them die.

It was as simple as that really. A lot of that was part of the learning curve for me. When I first started I didn't really understand why I could smash someone's head in with a sledgehammer, put them on a meat hook, and 30 seconds later see them running around as if nothing happened. I figured if I made sure they didn't leave the meat hook then they would die. Sure enough it worked. Better yet, I didn't have to chase after the other survivors! They just came to me! That's way easier that running around constantly.

Eventually, I discovered the beauty that is BBQ. Hey, this double bloodpoint thing is pretty sweet. I started to understand how nice it is to get actual progress with blood point gains. Then that became my objective and I didn't really care all that much if survivors lived or died. Don't get me wrong. They still do a whole lot of dying. I just don't care all that much. It doesn't make my heart race like it used to. I actually enjoy good chases and look at the game from the survivors perspective once in a while. That was my evolution as a killer. I can't answer for everyone, but hopefully that gives you some perspective.

Bro, that first paragraph is just not 100%. I appreciate you being real, but god damn.

  • Bruh every killer runs NOED, Ruin and BBQ, and you're trying to nerf the only way survivors fight back -_-
