  • How did you get that template? The ay you presented it is just top quality stuff.

ok but let's run through your ideas.

Savior - I think 30% haste for 7 seconds is too long considering the killer performs a stunned animation and cannot move while the dropped surv gets to run. So 10% haste for 3 seconds is somewhat towards the fair range. Aura shown to killer is a nice downside for using this.

Hurry it up - Hurry it up is way too strong for what it does. It means that fixing it alone, you get speeds of 2 people with prove thyself. IF this were to be a perk, 15-20% bonus speed for 5 seconds is more balanced because the gens already fly by way too fast now. Let's not forget that if a killer uses fearmonger, this perk is completely unusuable.

Boon - This is basically a bigger vigil that can't move and has 3.3x the effect. Way too strong. If you combine this with shadowstep and vigil, imagine how much it would be abused. It means I can litreally stand within the boon, leave no scratch marks and literally use sprint burst once every 15-20 seconds. Maybe 50% tops, IMO.

almost as if they have thousands of hours in the game...

besides, with mmr a 4k is a rare find

Pretty sure they do dude! They make a living from playing :0

    Stop dramatizing bro

To begin with, Unbreakables may not play at all for the game.

At the expense of Ds, consider that always count down the minute as they were removed from the hook. And observation is needed if he is healed or will repair then there is no salvation for him. So it's easier to chase after the savior if you don't want an extra headache.

If you don't experience what I do, don't call it dramatizing or even assume you know what it's like. People who have DS come charging at you to block hits etc and make you chase them. By the time you manage to get by them, the other guy is too far. So you think he has DS and you go find someone else to chase. That guy gets picked up and you find no one.

And don't you try and counter that with any arguments until you've been in my shoes. People who act like they know everything are the worst.

  • @Sakurra said:

No way. 200 seconds to block hexs is a lot. I was thinking yesterday about a perk idea for killers that will block your hexs. I think it should be 60 seconds for purple perk. The entity will block your hexs same as corupt.

I mean every idea needs to be finetuned, I'm just taking something I paid attention to as a benchmark.

People that complain about ruin being gone too quick usually say RUIN USUALLY LASTS A MAX OF 2 MINS. Which is why on top of that minute which they considered short, I added another minute and 20 seconds. That one just blocks hexes dude. You can still do gens even through the hex. I might not cover everything but here goes.

Devour hope - It usually never lasts till it has 3 stacks so having that perk I created will at least give killers that fighting chance to get 1 or 2 hits on the exposed rather than have this cleared before it works and be useless for the rest of the game.

Ruin - You need a slowdown perk so you use this, but I've cleared and also gotten my totems cleared in 20 seconds after the game starts. How frustrating is that?

Undying - At least you get to see people around dull totems while this remains up, other than that, not much effect here.

Huntress Lullaby - Need I say more here? People usually burst gens starting stack 3 and above so you need to get there before the totem gets cleared THEN HAVE IT SAY UP FOR LONG ENOUGH TO MATTER. So.... The new perk I created helps you reach the first phase which is like 3-4 stacks.

Retribution - Doesn't do much to this one cause you want them to clear hexes to see their aura. But well, if it was a new perk it would be nice to have.

Thrill of hunt - Again, nothing much here. Maybe just a heavy protection for your totems? I don't know..

Pentimento - Ahh the new perk. Together with the one I made, it's quite counter productive because you want people to clear totems for this to take effect so blocking it is a bad idea.

So yeah, covering those, I don't think 200 seconds is that strong. It just gives killers a fighting chance. The fact that I'm a surv main asking for this can only tell you it's to some extent a fair perk. What do you think?

Survivors = if a killer is face camping someone as last gen is pop and have no intention to move rather than pretending like your going to try for the but too scared to do anything , just go through the freaking exit because its really very upsetting, you apparently too scared so why even bother just let me or whatever die or bring borrow time so that the person can body block for you so you dont get hit (ofc I cant even expect this of randumb queue(swf this is never an issue and easily solved via communication)

Killers= staring at someone face who you never hook all round until they die , pathetic and if your that crazy for 1k points because you got 4 / 5 gen looped should change it where a survivor is transported to a different hook by entity to stop this face camping, that is so so scrummy. You de pip for it get like no lil to no points, is it really that worth it?

I don't know about your servers but the part about the killers that you mentioned, it does happen a lot to us. They just hook and stare at us.

For the part you said about the survivors, I have no problem if a killer wants to camp AFTER the last gen pops because what else is he supposed to do right? PLUS my issue with camping is KILLING THE SURVIVOR'S FUN. If the game lasted till the gates are powered, I'm more than sure you had your fun running and fixing gens, so to me, at that stage, camping is fine. BUT NOT AT THE START OR MIDDLE OF THE GAME.

Hope you see where I'm coming from here.

Surely, just punishing camping and tunneling without addressing the biggest problem killers have would probably make survivor queue times sky rocket. As far as I know, the average survivor queue time is already increasing.

But I do think a system where the hook progress stops or at least slows down considerably would work with enough additional conditions. However, again, something like that could probably only be added if the fast objective time for survivors was addressed as well.

Perhaps there could also be some form of additional objective added that requires interaction from both sides. Meaning this additional objective only adds a noticeable amount of time to survivors objective if the killer interacts with it as well, which would mean the killer couldn't camp. If the devs then just further increase the time of hook stages, and help survivors not have such a disadvantage once one survivor is dead, the game would probably be good to go as well.

yknow what? After giving it some thought, I do think the objective timers need to increase as well. I'm going to post something new.

Also, did you see my idea on the totems?

  • @Hannacia said:

Can we then also add that survivors that stay at the exit gates waiting for the killer to T-bag are instantly killed by the entity since they didnt take their chances of an escape? How about everytime survivor flashlight clicks or T-bags in the game they are hit with oblivious status? or something? hmm?

Camping and Tunneling is a tactic and some nowdays use it because killers dont have time to be nice to you guys. Let's be honest here..most of you survivors aint that nice to us eather.

Honestly, that staying at exit to teabag thing should be implemented. I know there are so many toxic little sheets out there, I don't like them either. There should be some form of punishment for BM.

I won't deny that camping and tunneling is a tactic but if it's done in a way that destroys anyone's fun then to me, there isn't any other way to see it. It's just wrong. I'm just hoping that bit by bit, we can fix all this BM and unfair parts of the game and yes, I do mean that in the context of survivors having that edge over the killer in general as well, not just balancing killers.

I agree that in normal situation camping from first hook is hard to deal with, with some luck even tournament level players have hard time to deal with.

Even I had done it sometimes, when I see survivors use nuclear option, I just have no reason to deal with it normally, that's just too much stress and frustration, so I will just play that game the simplest way possible, camp the first guy and see if they can handle it.

Both sides can do super broken stuff that make this game unfun and you just can't remove that only from one side. That's the main problem imo.

I feel you, that's the hard part to solve a really big problem so I think steps like my suggestion is somewhat necessary. Then after testing, fine tune. rinse and repeat etc. I don't think I was being too unfair in my suggestion.

  • I mean yeah they exist everywhere but I've only ever tried 2 servers so I can't comment for others. In Australia servers, most people don't camp or play toxic and I respect them so much. But in asia, damn... I feel like a factory dumped 10 years worth of biohazard chemical waste in the server.

  • @Tricksters_Wife said:

I'm assuming you came and made a forum account right after facing a Trickster that destroyed the survivors?

I've said this before and I'll say it again as many times as I need to. He's as balanced right now as he ever was. He's far from OP. The only situations he's OP in are ones that the survivors choose to put themselves in (i.e. unhooking in front of him, taking him to short/small loops, etc). Every single map has an area that Trickster can do little to nothing in. If you're having trouble going up against him, figure out those areas in those specific realms and abuse them against him. Best thing you can do.

If anything he needs a buff. More preferably being a 115% killer. The amount of time that a survivor can waste against Trickster by holding W and running around a tall wall loop is ridiculous.

*My previous comment was deleted or something*

You're right in some aspects. If you play in asia servers, you'll understand why most of us here think he's OP. Sometimes we don't just put ourselves in the situation, most gens we fix just happens to be in a spot where he can touch us, throw 12 knives and hook us for free.

As much as I don't think he's as god tier as some people have described him to be, I don't think he's that weak that majority of the players say he is either. I do think he needs a nerf in some aspect AND a buff in other aspects so he can better cope with some areas of the game and not be able to abuse that touch surv, 12 knives, free hook playstyle.

I'm a pretty crap killer player(except when playing wraith) and I've put trickster to the test, that 12 knives playstyle is really too much for survivors to handle. I can even constantly down most rank 1s without much of a thought in maybe 30-40 seconds? The more casual players I can down in even 10 seconds. And that to me already makes a statement that he's too strong in that aspect with no room for counter play, even when played by such a below average killer player.

You're right in some aspects here but especially in asia servers, you'll see the kinds of things tricksters do. Sometimes you just have no choice but to eat 12 knives and get hooked. I jest you not, there is just no way for any non pro player to counter him in some situations.

I don't think he needs a nerf as bad as some people say he does, but he's definitely not as weak as the majority of people say he is. If anything IMO, don't flame me for this, but he does need a nerf in some aspects AND buff in some other aspects.

AHH no wonder I felt like something was wrong.. hahahaha. welp...

I did prefer going up against quickscope tho. That one was easier to bait because you know they can't resist shooting when you're about to turn a corner or vault a window so you just switch direction suddenly to juke it. Now you have to look at him to know when he's going to shoot.

  • @Hippie said:

Pyramid Head is definitely a better Killer than Slinger. His ranged attack is far more useful and can hit multiple Survivors, and doesn't penalize you as long as Slinger's does... not to mention Pyramid Head has utility in his torment and cages. Slinger has nothing... except for his slow, slightly clunky harpoon gun and his gimp leg.

With the nerfs that Slinger received (increased TR, aiming speed decrease, whatever), it helped him be a little more enjoyable to face in a 1v1 scenario. However, his map pressure is still abysmal. Making him a 4.6m/s Killer would be an interesting change and could definitely improve his map pressure, and altogether make him more enjoyable to play. I personally enjoy playing him as he currently is, but he definitely feels weak... and DEFINITELY feels weaker than other ranged Killers like Trickster and Pyramid Head.

Also, I would love if the PTB were used for testing possible changes to things in the video game, and not just for new chapters or midchapter updates. They could even incentivize people to play the PTB with these smaller changes by offering BP bonuses or shards (preferably shards).

You do make a fair point here but let's not forget to change the terror radius to 32m for deathslinger as well if his move speed does get buffed.

Corrupt but for totems is actually pretty ######### good idea. i want to see that in a game.

People should really start to think when using "Toxic".

It's kinda lost meaning at this point.

It's not toxic by default, reason matters a lot.

I see survivors ######### up and didn't go for save in time, I can stay there to get free second stage -> not toxic, actually smart play to punish a mistake.

I see survivor using Gay charm and I tunnel him just for it (never done it) -> Yeah, that would be toxic.

I teabag killers after every stun for fun -> yeah toxic

I teabag killer when he is ingoring me and focusing weak link -> not toxic imo, just trying to get an attention to save teammate

It always depends on reason. It's not toxic just because you don't like it.

It's a loosely used term but I have the exact same idea as you. I think the part about going back to hook to guarantee hook stage 2 is perfectly ok, in fact, it should be encouraged to punish a mistake but camping from the start is just wrong because it eats someone's fun when no one made a mistake yet and there's barely any viable counter play to salvage that situation. As for the teabagging to take attention off teammates, I agree too, not toxic. I only ever teabag when killers are toxic/tunneling my teammates and I need to take heat off them.

then there will remain camping and tunneling + also the generators cannot be started yes you are a straight genius (sarcasm)

Hold up.. You calling me morally weak or the killers morally weak, I'm confused.

  • @Zozzy said:

Or we could i don't know..... balance maps and perks so going for 12 hooks is actually viable?

That's a viable option but it shouldn't be the only idea. If you want balance, more than just maps have to change.

  • @Icaurs said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2655159#Comment_2655159

No I'm glad people a proposing new ideas. DBD has gone in a completely different direction to where the devs wanted it to go, an while it has changed, it hasn't changed enough to compensate for the new direction. Please keep suggesting new ideas, its good for the game I just want offer reasons as to why it would or wouldn't work.

I was a little on unclear when I said "do generators". I meant in a skilful sense its easy. 4 survivors with discord or something can easily get around it. I's not difficult. However I've played solo survivor and have seen first hand what happens when killers camp and how often it is results in multiple kills. Obviously some killers its impossible to get a save if they choose to camp, this needs to be addressed.

Honestly I think the devs need to stop pumping out content that is clearly unfinished let alone untested and instead spend a year developing new game mechanics for both killers and survivors. The current game design is on too delicate of a balance that does not allows for the drastic change it needs.

That last line about pumping out contents is GOLDEN. I really couldn't agree more.

Sad thing is, there are too many kids on this forum that don't know how to carry themselves. They say things like "git gud" or "you just suck so you complain here" etc. I'm sure you've seen loads of those. Then they don't read your full post, understand the idea and motives but they proceed to make senseless comments about specific parts they don't like, for example, just a minor bit of nerfs to the killer.

And they don't provide reasons why and solutions on top of it.

Even when they suggest something and you tell them you've already tried it, they just go all sour and say things like "Nope this doesn't need a nerf. Don't whine here because you're bad at the game boohoo."

And that's the whole reason why I think twice before posting any suggestions. Cause of the braindead kids.

What about a NON-insidious camping bubba? Can't do anything as well right?

Problem here is not the perk. It's the toxic behavior but that part is really hard to fix.

  • @BrokenSouI said:

Thank you my friend. I needed the laugh.

As much as insidious is already a stupid and useless perk, can you not be so condescending in your answers? I think a little bit of respect for other forum users would be nice.

  • @Icaurs said:

Here is the issue you don't address in this post. Camping and tunnelling killers are easy to beat (Do generators) but if the killer decides to just tunnel you out of the match that's it you're dead, and no DS, BT ect will change this. This strategy both screws over the survivor on the hook as they die, and the 3 that survive receive no points. This also happens to be the most effective way to play the match as tunnelling a player out allows for less survivors doing the objective. your post does not fix this at all. Face camping may be the worst of it but tunnelling is not much better, proxy camping may allow for a small window to get a save but it's still unlikely.

I have said this before but the radius timer idea has been proposed years ago, tested and failed due to survivors abusing it. Also how would it work on indoor maps, it wouldn't. (but make it so you have to be on the same level) then this would allow for work arounds and the mechanic could be easily abused. example camping on top of the stairs of basement is not really any different then camping in basement itself.

Solution: I don't have one. Unfortunately most the community has pushed for a more competitive form of DBD and this is the result, meta every match and really unfun playstyles.

I understand your point but I think I need to be more clear where I am going with all of my ideas. I am more for making the whole game enjoyable to both sides.

Yes, to counter camping, fix gens, but you never know a killer is camping until your progress is massively crippled by camping together with him and waiting for a safe chance to rescue so that's out of the question. You say it's easy but you haven't been in my server and seen how toxic people are. If it's a bubba looking at the hook, would it still be easy? If it's a perma tier 3 myers looking at the hook, would it be easy?

Sometimes when ideas don't work, you need to find out why it didn't work and find out which part works as well. That's the way to fine tune ideas. Of course I know no idea or solution can please everyone so the next best thing is to keep a best fit solution, in the middle ground of 2 arguing parties. For this game, the issue we have is a lack of fun because we cannot do anything when killers camp us and killers have little counter play against people who abuse DS or whatever perk.

That's the whole reason I propose my changes, I hope you can see where I come from.

Real wold analogies don't fit in a game like dbd. You're playing as a Killer, trying to appease a God by sacrificing 4 teens, so stop.

If 2 Survivors come for the rescue, and we use your 15 Meter Radius, the Killer can either chase 1 Survivor and lose the hook, or remain in the Radius, making it go slower, allowing for more time on gens.

Also, why should I change the way I talk? Is it hard for you to understand? Maybe you should READ BETTER!!1!!!!

"laughs in 2 Survivors being at the hook, which happens a lot when camping"

"If 2 Survivors come for the rescue, and we use your 15 Meter Radius, the Killer can either chase 1 Survivor and lose the hook, or remain in the Radius, making it go slower, allowing for more time on gens."

First of all, you read your own lines. Your english is trash. Laughs AT 2 survivors being at the hook. Just compare the 2 lines YOU TYPED, NOT ME. Your trash english isn't my fault.

Second, yes this is a game, but you fail to see that everything including a game will have problems, which you need real life analogies to create a right attitude to fix those problems but clearly you're too much of a self entitled kid to understand.

Lastly to give one final counter argument to your point, so? If the killer chases another person other than the one that just got unhooked, tunneling has been solved, which is half my agenda for the killer's side. If he camps, the timer slows and it only allows him to camp one person per game. With the current survivor behavior where they try hard to rescue even though they know the killer is camping, gens don't get fixed and the killer just camps till the hooked is dead and chases the rescuer. On average, at least 2 people get killed, sometimes even 3 and the occasional 4 for hard camping killers. With my solution it only allows time for the killer to camp 1, let 3 escape. Which is part of solving the other agenda, stop killers from camping. Which means if you want 3 or 4 kills, you don't just camp. You work for it and everyone has their fun.

    ANYWAYYYY....

No amount of logic can ever appeal to a kid like you and I wasted my time even thinking there was even a tinge of logic in you, I now clearly see you want the last word and can never make sense, so you got it. I'm sorry, I was wrong about every point I made and you are so correct about everything you have ever said in life. I should have understood you better and paid more attention to your feelings. Make your last comment so you have the last word, I will no longer be replying to you.

Stop with the real world arguments. It's a video game. You have to bring arguments that have nothing to do with our actual conversation to feel like you're providing something to it. I provided actual counter arguments:

*laughs in 2 Survivors being at the hook, which happens a lot when camping*

It's worded as a joke, but is an actual argument, seeing as it's a fact that is a Killer is camping, atleast 2 Survivors will come for the rescue, pleas counter it

Stop with the real world analogies? If you don't use the mindset of the real world then problems never get solved.

    Here's another one for you,

If your partner wants to break up because "reason" and you disagree.

Are you going to talk it out a find a compromise? Or just be like "nope I disagree" then let it end there because it's "just a relationship"? Finding reasons to dismiss actual concerns is the kind of mindset that break things, leave it broken and never create any new amazing thing.

If the people that invented planes stopped at the first problem they faced, would planes still have been invented?

They saw a problem, the made a solution, they fine tuned it and they created something amazing called planes.

I'm not bringing irrelevant things into this topic. I'm telling you your mindset needs to change in order to address concerns people have and FIX PROBLEMS (which is more important in your daily life).

It's just a game? Ok so let's buff DS to a 20 second stun and being able to use it twice in a game. If the devs ever do that, how would you feel if you post on the forums that it's a problem and I comment " Nope not a problem. I don't have issues with it. I've also tested it before and it's not a problem. Nope. no no no."

    Annoying isn't it?

Anyway for your argument, word it better so I people can understand. So what if 2 survs come for the rescue??

I've been providing constant counter arguments but you keep ignoring them. I'm going to pull a "You" move and READ EVERYTHING AND THINK BEFORE TALKING. JESUS CHRIST.

Ignoring stupid or irrelevant comments is bad? I didn't know that. You didn't read and understand my points then go ahead and make stupid comments but you expect me to acknowledge you? Oh grow up. Go read how I reply to other OPs. I never talk to them like the way some kids *cough cough* reply to my post.

Anyway I already addressed the issue with your counter arguments. point, explain, conclude. If your boss gives you an idea in future and you disagree, are you just going to tell him "Nope, that's not going to work." and not provide a solution or contribute to solving the problem he had?

If you want to use my words, know what you're saying. Jesus christ, you don't even read and understand your own words. You're way below the age range I expected. How is someone the age of 4-6 using forums?

In all honesty, there's no reason to reply to this thread. After reading several replies from it, I've realized the OP is a Karen and believes "shouting aka all-caps" is a valid way to debate other people. OP calls other people kids, yet has a tantrum anytime someone says something counter to what he is saying. Sad.

Caps is a mode of emphasis, not just screaming. There are certain words that need to be made clearer than the rest to project a point.

How about you go post something and then let the angry mob comment after not reading your posts properly and understanding what you mean but writing a stupid comment anyway? You can clearly see that when you carry yourself properly (as clearly shown in your first reply), I reply you properly.

If you want to think I'm a Karen based on the other posts from kids and expect me to be patient about it, then sorry you feel that way but I'm not going to change that behavior for those people.

*laughs in 2 Survivors being at the hook, which happens a lot when camping*. Also, how do you want me to use my brain when it's melting due to someone constantly whining about game tactics. You don't see me crying about genrushing, tunneling or camping. Wonder why? Because I know why they're being used

I didn't know trying to fix problems that people actually face is called whining. Ok I'm sorry for making you feel that way. Get your mommy to buy you ice cream later, yeah? Be a good boy.

Killers just shrug off DS and continue to tunnel. It needs to be buffed to work twice.

Basically a proxy-tunneling killer downs a survivor. Then they hook that survivor and stay within heartbeat range to proxy-tunnel the survivor off hook. They take the DS, then down and hook that survivor again. Then they proxy-tunnel the survivor off hook and kill them.

This isn't a perfect buff because the tunneled survivor still gets killed without really playing the game but at least it gives them a 2nd run.

DS right now is suppose to be an anti-tunnel tool, but it doesn't really work as that since the Killer just shrugs it off.

yeah the better killers can shrug off DS, just look at ortz fighting 4 rank 1s. I'm trying to improve the casual gameplay. Imagine being just decent at the game, wanting to enjoy it, get genrushed and feel pressured and now you have to face 4DS. kind of unfair especially if it works twice. There has to be a balance.

Right now, I very commonly see people getting unhooked and straight rushing into the killer's face and take chase. Hop into a cupboard and the killer just watches it knowing that if he opens it, he eats ds. People are using it aggressively to waste the killer's time and that's really not how the perk is supposed to work.

On the other hand, if you don't get tunneled, DS is just an insurance in case you did.

  • @Bran said:

    imma be real deal here:

    Survivors

    • ds is (mainly) fine right now. survivors should not be able to do gens or other objectives and be safe from the killer. even if it had a shorter up time.
    • bt is also okay. it does exactly what it should do. i could argue against the speed boost, but i won't.
    • ub is one time use and is a give or a take anyway.

    Killers:

    • the anti-camp mechanic as i always say would only have to work if another survivor is not in the radius (if it were made a thing). therefore survivors could not proxy the hook. if the killer got 10 meters, survs get 20 meters. this is the best way to do it this route. killer does punished for camping and survs can do gens. also there of course would be the whole if the killer is within the radius for x seconds it would start, but then if a surv comes up it reverts to normal.

Your idea on the killers side are great.

The surv ones tho. If you play killer you'd understand how annoying it can be when survs abuse the 4ds thing. In my server, toxicity is a norm. I've seen 4DS 4DH 4UB and it really is too much for a casual killer to deal with. So nerfing the timer on ds would be good. In return, don't deactivate it on doing objectives. That way, DS becomes just an insurance if the killer camps you and you get unhooked in front of the killer. The other changes I made already pressures the killer away from hook so when they work together, I think it makes a better game.

Why do I need to explain everything to you? As someone who thinks they are higher than anyone else, you should've known how abuseable your idea was. If you're going to suggest something, think everything through. Example:

If the Killer is within x Radius, hook timer is stopped. Easily abuseable, Survivors can just loop around the hook

If the Killer is within x Radius, hook timer is stopped, but if he is within a chase, timer continues normally. Easily abuseable. Survivors can wait outside the radius and run away as soon as the Killer starts chase, denying chase

    There, here's your constructive criticism

As mentioned in my previous point, if you even had the brain capacity to process my words, THAT'S HOW YOU SOLVE PROBLEMS IN REAL LIFE. I NEVER CLAIMED TO BE HIGHER THAN YOU. STOP BEING A LITTLE VICTIMIZED KID.

Your first point was already addressed in a comment that you mentioned before. Are you too sleepy to read roor something?

Your second point is invalid. My nerfs punish killers for staying inside the radius. If a survivor camps outside that radius then just chase him normally??? if he comes in to radius and get chased, that's even better because you get to "camp" with a normal timer and lock someone else down in a chase??

I'm ignoring your 15m Radius because it will never exist, because it already did and was abused. Think next time you type. Calling me a kid isn't really an insult, but it's kind of hypocritical seeing the kind of comments you're making

    To add on, picture this.

If in future when you have a job. You ask your boss if you can take leave to do something, then he answers you with "what's the weather like today? Has my dog eaten?" and whatever irrelevant thing to you taking leave, wouldn't you be angry as well?

You're making irrelevant comments or comments on issues I have already talked about so I don't see why you blame me for being pissed about it. I just hate repeating myself.

Your idea has been tried and it was abused by Survivors, no need to discuss it further.

Camping and tunneling aren't toxic. They're strats, valid strats at that. They're no different than genrushing. It's efficiency. People who want to win will play efficiently, wether the opposition is happy or not. You trying to nerf it due to, as I've stated on other discussions with you, selfish reasons. You want Killer strats removed while barely touching Survivors.

Let's revisit your own post for your sake, ok?

Yes you did mention it was tried before. (Make a point)

*missing explaination* (Where is your explaination?)

*missing conclusion* (Where is your conclusion?)

You just said tried before, no need to discuss and shut me down before listening to what I have to offer. You call that constructive criticism? Where did you learn that? The teached or parent that taught you that needs to find a new job.

That ds nerf is barely anything, I'd say it's stronger than current DS as it doesn't deactivate when progressing the game but still weaker than old DS. Lmao, I'm the kid as you start insulting me while I'm actually providing constructive criticism

So adding that part that the killer has to be 15m (give and take), When you catch up to the unhooked and down him. That's 20 minimum. You just have to wait for 10 seconds for DS to deactivate. THAT'S CALLED BARELY ANYTHING? LMAO.

  • @GrayEyes said:

Expect the problem here is that he's right they've tried you anti camping idea before

It was just abused with good survivors looping the killer around hook while others slammed out gens

No anti camping idea you can think I'd gonna work that's why they haven't been implemented

Not trying to be negative Nancy just being honest

Ah they have? Well they can always tune it back to that game state and if the killer is in chase, it acts as if the killer was not in the hook's proximity. That way, the running survivor has to lead the killer away from the hook.

This way any nearby survivors camping for the unhook has to wait for the right time as well.

Also, no, you're giving constructive criticism or somewhat along those lines and I appreciate that. Kids on forum nowadays LOVE victimizing themselves to try and win arguments. "Make killer breathing more audible?!?!?! NO. WHY YOU SO BIASED AGAINST KILLER. DO YOU KNOW WE HAVE A TOUGHER TIME THAN FARMERS? BOOHOOO"

    but as for you...

YOU MADE A POINT, EXPLAINED IT AND GAVE A CONCLUSION TO IT ALL.

LEARN FROM THIS GROWN PERSON, KIDS.

I'm the biased one? I just told you that you're only nerfing Killers because you don't like it, but you're not changing anything on the Survivor side, if someone is biased, that's you

Are you blind? Did you not see DS TIMINGS SHOULD LAST 20/25/30 SECONDS? Stop being a kid and trying to victimize yourself when you cannot win arguments. If you don't know how to be constructive, learn or get out of the forums. I don't think you'll be saying things like these in a meeting room at your workplace in future when you grow up.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/295990/trying-to-solve-camping-and-tunneling-game-being-surv-sided

Unbreakable is the only viable counter to slugging, there's no reason to nerf it.

DS is the only viable counter to tunneling, it should probably be buffed so it works more than once since more killers just shrug off DS and keep after you.

    Borrowed Time is fine.

What you are talking about doesn't address tunneling or slugging at all. Also, your solution for camping has been tried before. I would suggest adding the modifier, "while the killer isn't in a chase".

If you don't read everything and understand it, don't comment. You're making stupid comments. I'm nerfing ds AND adding a punishment for killers that stay too close to hook so people have space to breathe when unhooking?? Stop being a kid like everyone else and reading 2 lines then answering with your personal bias.

  • @D_HERO said:

The comparison is wrong. I do think face camping is not fun to both side but other than that, I can't agree with you.

Tunneling and proxy camping are the counterparts of genrushing and looping. It is just the best killers can do. If they couldn't, then this game would be just 5 players to watch 5 gens fixed quietly.

How is tunneling and proxy camping the counterpart of genrushing and looping? If you're so bad at the game (sorry for saying this) that you need toxic strats to win then no matter how much logic anyone shows you, you can't win as a killer. I don't have much problems when I play killer. In a loop, it's your ability to end the loop vs the surv's ability to keep it going. Can't compare it with toxic things like tunneling. Yes, tunneling is a strat but it doesn't change the fact that it sucks out the fun for survivors. If you think looping is toxic then how else can the survivor escape you? You don't have to tunnel to win but survs need to have that teamwork and effeciency to win.

You can force survivors off gens but you cannot force a killer away from the hook to safely unhook. I never said it wasn't a strat but it is a TOXIC strat at that. If you can't think for both sides instead of being so biased, then keep your comments to yourself.

You can't honestly tell me that NOED is fair for Solo's

Noed is a perk that rewards killers massively for ignoring gens. It isn't fair in every way BUT killers, especially in my server where everyone is annoying and toxic, have to deal with 4DS 4DH 4 UNBREAKABLES, IRONWILL BT SPINECHILL ETC. very often. It's 4 perks and a kit vs 16 perks plus 4 items.

So honestly, yes, NOED's effect is unfair, but until the killers' life gets slightly easier, NOED should stay the same.

  • @Tsulan said:

How about we talk about a NOED buff instead?

Doesn´t sound fair, that survivors can eliminate the perk before it even spawns. More so with Boons that override the NOED mechanic.

NOED is already ridiculous enough especially if you don't remove it. That turns any killer into a "tier 3 myers" with a speed boost.

Yes, it can be stopped before it starts but only because the effect is so unfair and ridiculous. Buffing it is just making it more unfair.

AND BEFORE YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT DS, yes DS is ridiculous for killers to deal with too. I think for both sides.

Streamers also spend a lot of time in custom lobbies so course it's gonna be easier there are some public but mainly custom and most play survivor.

May be asking for too much but the killer side is getting unbearable an countless people are saying it. Even survivors. Also people are switching from killer to survivors cos its easier. The survivors queue time is getting ridiculous cos hardly anyone wants to play killer explain that.

Yes, that's why I said that you should balance it instead of swining it too much back to the killer's side. To me, it's still very managable on both side except for the occassional unfair things like DS for killers and playing against certain killers that can unfairly down you with no counters.

My suggest were to be played with. I'm just want the game slowed down and the gens to not be done in 5 minutes. Is it really too much to ask for me to actually have fun as killer other than going into a match and knowing I'm gonna lose 90% chance of it unless the survivors just maybe screw up.

Sorry but I don't see how that's asking for too much you clearly play more on survivor side. The game is broken for killer we may as well sit in a corner the whole match. Or better still the devs may as well give killers a toolbox and we can assist the survivors on the gens as we can't protect them properly.

If this game was broken for killers, streamers wouldn't be playing them. Yes, I lean more to survs because I main them and yes I AGREE THIS GAME IS SLIGHTLY SURV SIDED (Not heavily like many people claim it to be), but the game right now other than certain unfair parts, is not unplayable.

If you want the game to slow down, why not a whole other game mode where survs have to fix 8-10 gens with another map and maybe 3 exits etc? <<(Obviously this idea isn't going to work that easy) but yeah I don't know...

When I say you ask for too much, I don't mean that no, it cannot be done. I just mean like for example, enduring reduces stun duration by 50% and you want it to be 99%. That's asking for too much. You tip the scales into the side of the killer and it still remains unbalanced. What I try to do is keep it both sided.

In that first reply to you, I'm not saying you did ask for 99% on enduring but rather something unfair.

Read what you wrote about blood warden and no way out. If the killer took both of those perks, it's so easy to get 4k if you're even able to get a hit every minute (give and take). Try to consider every possible scenario before you suggest changes is what I'm saying.
