ok thanks for the advice i will watch ... btw i agree with you that repeat wrong behavior is wrong as well in fact my first reaction is trying to play fair and report to authorities wrong behaviour according on the report form at the end of the game, but when you see that everyone else is not doing like this and they just behave in the most toxic way possible and that reporting is pointless suddenly a mantra stacks in your head : " HANG, CAMPER, TUNNEL & REPET"; the second think is : " FU all i never play this again ....".

Consequences of the first step : Toxic behav create more toxic behav in a endless loop of moodines that gonna make this game die

Consequences of the second step: fewer and fewer players gonna take killer role making matchmaking unbalanced and slowly make this game die

I get upset cause I like this game and I wish it continues for many years on and don´t finish like others.

PS: My solution for now is play till 09:00 PM and than quit

Wait a sec.. Do you play in asia or something? asian servers have the most of these trash behaviors.

Yeah, well, sadly, I used to enjoy this game a lot too but now my server is infested with a certain group of people.

Anyways, good luck with your future games. If you want to learn wraith, you can pm me here so I can add you on discord. I main wraith as a killer but I'm really bad with other killers so can't teach you much there.

  • @Sakurra said:

I'm a survivor main that used to play killer sometimes because I enjoyed it. Now it's very unfun. Yesterday I tunneled one guy and camped with insidious bubba lol. I got my "revenge". They are toxic with or without reason, anyway. Now I give them a reason to be.

Honestly, I'm not going to say anything much about this.

As much as 2 wrongs don't make a right but I don't blame you for camping and tunneling THAT SPECIFIC SURVIVOR if they BM you.

Sorry to hear your games are unfun. I really hope you get matched into better ones on your coming matches. Good luck!

This is a game, not justice/morality irl.

If you want to change a type of behavior, you need to first understand exactly why it is occurring, and then encourage the desired behavior while discouraging the undesired one.

    Think pragmatically.

If there is no incentive, no good reason encouraging players to play in less ruthlessly effective ways, why would they ever do it? Why should they? Your response is wrong, you need to give a little to get a little here. I disagree quite a bit with the op's proposed solution, but this is a core concept in design based thinking that is undeniably true.

Yeah so what if it's a game? So I can't use real life ways of handling things? If it seems to work in real life, I'm sure we can try it in a game as well.

If you're asking me to think of why killers are camping and tunneling, even when i play a 4 pax party game, my friends and I are all GENERALLY well mannered people. We don't do toxic things UNLESS they camp or tunnel us, yes, being toxic to a toxic person isn't right either, I know. What I'm trying to say here who are you to say that we surv mains started this whole back and forth toxic cycle? The killers started that bad behavior. Not us.

To fix that, add punishment to the bad behavior. Not reward them for behaving differently. If they don't behave toxic and stop camping/ tunneling THEN you add the incentives for not camping/tunneling. Your "why should I" logic is what makes the world more toxic.

If you see an old lady who falls on the road with heavy traffic. Are you just going to ask yourself "why should I help her?" It's the exact same thing here.

I'm not saying we're dogs but I've had experience training dogs and if you had any too, let me ask you...

Your dog has a habit of peeing and taking dumps on your bed. Are you going to wait till the dog stops doing it and reward it or punish the dog when it does the undesirable behavior? Again, the exact same logic.

You don't need to "get people to prestige". In fact, given that the "bonus drop rates" for higher tier addons is so small that it can't even be measured to show a tangible effect across hundreds of bloodwebs averaged out, it's actually in your best interest not to prestige at all. If they wanna incentivize it, they could do so easily.

There's no sense in refusing to consider changing a poorly designed system just bc it renders the systems built upon it redundant. Especially if those systems sole purpose for existing is to attempt to mitigate the original one's flaws.

    Your example is easy.

Say 10m is a balanced yet strong version of the effect you've designed. In the tierless system, you make the addon 8m. and let the "echoed" effect of not using any other addons, be 12m. A very strong version of that effect, but a gamble, since you forego any others.

There doesn't need to be any more nuance than that, and honestly? In practice, there isn't. No one uses the brown or yellow addons unless they've run out of Purples/Greens, or if they're like Demo and their only good addons are yellow/brown, and all the rest suck.

I mean people don't need to prestige but it does grant higher rewards so they need to rework that for killers since the only real thing that matters in rarity is addons. Offerings present a very minimal effect even in the purple tiers.

Aside from that, there's a better idea, that "echoed" thing. Nice idea there. You should have voiced your ideas first tho if you had one.

  • @ThatOneDemoPlayer said:

Camping and tunneling shouldn't be nerfed, Killers should be desensitized from using those tactics by rewarding them for not doing it. Also, making the timer go slower has been tried and was abused

Your idea here is that if people are not toxic, they should be rewarded. So doesn't that mean my government should give me pay raises because I didn't commit crimes my whole life? Nope. That logic is wrong.

Good behavior is good behavior. Good behavior is not "not displaying bad behavior". There's a difference.

Punish the bad, reward the good. Not reward the "didn't do bad things" and reward the good.

Abused how? If you camp, of course it will be abused. If you decide to wait right outside the range and proxy camp, people can just show you that they're unhooking but don't actually unhoook to make you come back so the timer gets slowed again. If you don't read the idea and think in depth first before you talk, please don't comment.

Addon tiers are fundamentally bad design already and should be removed.

There should only be 1 version of each type of addon, and all addons should be buffed or nerfed accordingly. Addon tiers only exist to pad out bloodwebs and keep people grinding BP for longer, growing a long term investment in playing the game, bc that incentivizes spending money on the game over time.

You could make a flimsy argument for their being 2 tiers of addons, with the 2nd tier being merely 50% strength or minor additional effect or w/e, to enable people to double down on a specific effect and allow build diversity in that regard, but since that concept is the same thing just applied to every existing addon, it doesn't need to be an additional tier of addons, it should just be something you get by default if you don't equip a 2nd addon, you'd automatically get this "echo" of the addon you do have equipped.

But they're prolly never gonna do that, so in the meantime, yeah the All Seeing nerf to 8m was also too harsh. Should've been to 10m.

Your idea of no tiers is a completely different ball game there.

There will be a problem of getting people to prestige 3 a killer because the addons are all same tier. So the bonus in rarity for prestige matters less.

How to price them, bloodweb them etc is another issue.

And then there's a variety issue and balancing issue. Sometimes you want an addon to give maybe a 10m effect. Placing 10m on 1 addon means that he can take another addon. Having tiers, you can make him take 2 addons to add up to 10m.

All that being said, I think the current tier thing is perfect, just that some effects need to be tweaked just a slight bit.

  • @DbDPlaya said:

This guy needs an immediate nerf, prior to his buff. It takes no brain to play him, spray and pray. Someone unhooking? Oh no problem not only will you down the saver but also down the unhooked survivor too. Also played at RPD, the map cucked us all (I was solo) on top of this annoying killer.

! WARNING WARNING YOU ARE A RED FLAG TO THE FORUM PEOPLE NOW !

Jokes aside, you will get bashed here for saying trickster is too strong. I 500% agree with you tho. I faced toxic tricksters in asia servers a lot so I get where you're coming from.

  • @enormous_bruh_moment said:

I agree. All Seeing nerf was ok, although don't get me wrong, going from 12m -> 8m is harsh, I think 10m would have been fine, but there's an irrational love for numbers to be multiples/increments of 4 balance be damned, so screw it. They wanted to nerf the addon, there's no way it can ever overperform now.

Most importantly however, the basekit nerf was completely unnecessary.

It's a very small change to his numbers, that has a drastic affect on the range you can get hits with him in game. He has to now be completely up the ass of whoever he's chasing when he uncloaks, to get the hit. At this distance, lunges are practically unnecessary.

You'll never see any long lunges anymore since you have to uncloak when touching them, and you need that entire 1 second of speed or more to make up the distance they gain on you while uncloaking, so you can get to the point where your normal lunge can actually hit.

If you try to lunge during that 1 second of post-uncloak-speed to get the longer lunge, the effective distance is the same, or worse.

This was already Wraith's weakest point vs skilled survivors, but now? Now this means using his cloak in chase is distinctly no longer a viable tactic.

Basekit uncloaking already took forever. It still takes forever. The ability to hit those Michael Jordan at the end of Space Jam lunges out of cloak, was the only thing he had going for him in any chase. This change restricts his available playstyles/builds and makes Wraith much less consistent, interesting or enjoyable to play.

A little bit unrelated to your statement but I really wish they made all seeing tiers. So like...

Yellow all seeing addon - 6m

Green all seeing addon - 8m

Purple all seeing addon - 10m

So if we want to stack purple and green it becomes 18m and that stops you from using another add on.

so you say is just a mater of experience and is not tecnicalli impossible to catch 4 surv that are speaking to each other like: " the fkr is following me ahahah ... go on with the gen you have all time " so please explain how or just link a guide that explain this meanwile answer this : clikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclicclikclic is a legitimate way of playing?Bodyblocking? looping in front an open exit? why I shouldn´t report this? why no one as ever been banned for being so toxic? Do you realize that those behaviour are the base for camping and tunneling ?

I only have 2 words. Youtube. Ortz. I never said teabagging and clicking is ok. If it's deemed to be BM then it should stop. But the catching 4 survs part is a whole different story. Why are you even linking the 2 issues together?

By the way, your logic is 2 wrongs make a right. So next time if someone steals your girlfriend, you're going to steal someone else's girlfriend? Does the fact that someone did something "not ok" to you makes it ok for you to do the same to others?

You need to nerf the nurse because there is no point in playing against her at all

Bruh, I've juked good nurses. Nurse is more of a guessing game rather than I pick her so I lock in my win.

Surv: You see her charge her blink for some time so you think she goes far, you run back into her but what if she blinks on the floor and stays where she is? (Makes a move accordingly)

Nurse: Where is he going? What trick should I use here? Fake my direction? Double blink? Oh he's moving back into me! I'm sure he's faking it (Makes a move accordingly)

    rinse and repeat.

That's why I love nurse. It's constantly a battle of who guesses right and makes the right counterplay that determines whether you win or not.

I've been able to run some rank 1 nurses and I've also been completely smashed by some others, rank 1 or not. To me, that's the beauty of fair play. It's more about the player skills than the kit he or she has.

For someone trying to pose themselves as the bigger person thats a lot of insults you are using

and it was all sparked because I said you probably had the ability to learn to play around them better if you tried and had a little help from others, and you took it as an insult even though it wasn't intended to be

either way Im sure your gonna get you last word in but this is mine

Not trying to pose myself as the bigger person. I'm telling you to learn to read and understand others. Instead of saying things like "just learn to play better", go understand the problems I face. I didn't take it as an insult, I just find it gross that you understand nothing and want to give stupid comments. Kind of like a stranger butting into a conversation he has no place being in, understanding nothing about it, then giving a worthless comment that adds no value to the conversation. There is a difference between feeling insulted and disgusted, go learn.

Secondly, in my last reply, I did ask you to point out the part where I insulted you BEFORE MY LAST REPLY. You couldn't even find it and you want to act all high and mighty like "you win, I'm the bigger person" with your head held high? Jesus christ. Self entitled people... First you cry about how I insulted you and you couldn't even point out that part when I asked you to then now you act this way. COME ONNNNNN...

Kids, please grow up. Society hates this behavior.

My guy they don't even need to be at pallets I get them constantly just coming up to me and flashlighting me, when I pick survivors up there can be no one there and then all of sudden what do you know a survivor appears from thin air with a flashlight due to sprint burst making them get to me faster. or hopping out a locker or hiding in the reeds or something.

Then the pallets are mostly broken on every map shelter Woods is about the only decent pallet thing for killer due to the least number of pallets. Then Haddonfield let's discuss that fun little map. God loops everywhere. Oh let's talk about another fun set of maps badham preschool the breakable walls are useless most of the time they just open up worse loops and pallets are stupidly placed. The game the map crawling with pallets with a pallet every 2ft along with loops every 3ft. Ironworks of misery goes two ways on occasion killer sided and mostly survivor sided. The groaning store house the map with the most treacherous loop possible with with every window being broken and the breakable wall taking out one of them only. Then we have the workshop map can't remember the name but that's got more loops than anything in a small building. Yeah walls are there but again it opens more loops. Coldwind Farm the map where you lose a survivor in every area.

Let's talk about yamaoka maps where you can't see a thing for the plants and statues etc and broken loops. Especially the shrine map wow let's talk about the loops on the shrine. They are broken and killers have no chance. The swamp maps are exactly the same.

Enough about maps let's talk about some killer perks

Any hex - totem spawns are broken and are found very easily oh and let's not forget that survivors can bless hexes as well (broken). Retribution and haunted ground is the only perk which I dont have a problem with broken spawns for.

Pop goes the weasel: it doesn't feel like it does anything, it needs to be buffed so it takes more progress off or something.

Overcharge : most survivors hit it so thats a wasted perk

Fire up: its a waste of a perk slot and needs to be fully buffed

No way out - it's an OK little perk but needs to be slightly buffed to be a little longer

    Remember me - is okish

Bloodwarden - this needs to be buffed because it is crap really and very situational and you actually need to hook a survivor when the gates are opened which leave the risk wide open for them to disappear before it is even able to be used. My suggestion is that it activates as soon as the gate opens and last for a minute and then you can activate it again or extend it for 20/30 seconds if you jook someone.

Sloppy butcher is a wasted perk slot at the minute due to boon circle of healing

Unnerving presence the skill checks are quite regularly hit

Brutal is a good perk but you still need to actually catch the survivor

Agitation is good perk but you need to catch a survivor

    Predator - it's ok

    Bloodhound - is ok

Shadowborn - this perk is useless sometimes especially as it has the fall back of opening more weakness to flashlights

Enduring - is crap unless matched with brutal etc

Tinkerer is useless especially as by time you get to the gen unless the gen is really close to you.

    Stridor is actually useless now

Thanatophobia it doesn't seem to be effective whatsoever so needs to be buffed

    Nurses is fairly good

Stbfl - this is a good perk

Pwyf - this is crap and needs buffs

Dying light is about as useful as soggy toilet paper

Overwhelming presence it doesn't seem to be that effective

Monitor is only good on certain killers

Beast of prey needs to be majorly buffed it's useless same with territorial imperative

Knock out is good but relies on you actually downing quickly so you can look elsewhere even then it's nto too bad but survivors moan and say slugging op

BBQ is fairly good needs to be slightly longer lasting

    Franklin's is a good perk

    Hangmans trick is weak af

Surveillance is not worth the paper it's written unless running with ruin for the 2 minutes ruin stays up and even then you can't get there in time.

Make your choice I feel you need to see the aura of the survivor who saved for a few seconds

Bamboozle needs to be huffed to 33%

    Coulrophobia Is actually crap

    Spirit fury is alright

    Rancor is fairly good

    Discordance it's good for information

Mad grit this is a great little perk

Iron maiden again you need the aura

    Corrupt needs to last longer

    Infectious is alright

Dark devotion is alright and can be fun

    I'm all ears is good

    Thrilling is good

    Furtive chase is trash

Surge when triggers should include the effects of other perks like pop, overcharge etc

Claustrophobia that's a neat little perk

    Mind breaker is alright

Zanshin is good for what it is

    Blod echo is alright

    Nemesis is alright

    Gearhead is useless

    Dead man's switch is crap

    Forced penance is good

    Trail is good

    Deathbound is useless

    Dragons grip is fair

    Hoarder is pretty good

Oppression is good only when run with other perks and again needs tk include other perk effects

    Coup de grace is good

Starstruck I feel u need to see the auras of survivors in the radius

Lethal pursuer needs to last longer and needs to activate begin and end of game

    Hysteria is good

    Eruption is good

    Deadlock is good

Scourge hook is good but useless with boons activated

The new killers perks all look good but I fear they are gonna be nerfed to oblivion

I don't usually like to mention pros because I'm more

for casual players but if that's your argument, look

at ortz. almost every game he plays, he gets 4 kills.

Yes, there are ridiculous things about survs like the

boon totems for example, but the kind of nerfs you ask

for is only going to kill survivor fun and make it

    much easier for killers.

Pop weasel - 25% is already a decent amount. You're

asking for too much. You have no idea how painful for us

it is to see a gen almost done get kicked by pop

    and then get chased.

Fire up - You just don't know how to use it. I've seen

    pros wreck games with it.

No way out - uhhh... no. just no. Being helpless and

trapped in the game with less pallets to work with, if

the killer is even decent, he can get 2 or 3 kills here.

Bloodwarden - Again, you're asking for too much. During

the 1 min, you just have to catch 2 and then the whole

timer runs out and you get 4k just for having this perk.

Sloppy - I won't comment on this except that I have no

issues with boon totems at all when I play killer BUT

it's only because the survs in my server take full

    blast meta perks. 4DS, 4DH, 4UNBREAKABLE, etc, so I

    barely deal with boons.

Brutal - Then what do you expect? break the pallet and

surv gets damaged? of course you still have to catch him

Agitation - You sound like you want to win without

lifting a finger. I'm sorry for saying this but this

game may not be for you.

Predator - You joking? it's a useless perk and you say

    it's ok.

Tinkerer - You're missing the main point of this perk.

Key component is to point you where to go and stealth

you up to go there. If you're using it to defend gens

WITHOUT ALSO TAKING RUIN OR POP, then you're using

    this wrong.

Thanataphobia - Ok, this one I actually agree, I

think it should go back to the way it used to be.

PWYF - You sound like you put this perk on a nurse

and never blink. This is one of the good perks for

    killers.

Dying light - It's situational, unless you build and

play around this perk, don't use it. Don't call it

    useless either.

Overwhelming - It's very useful BUT most other perks

massively outclass this one. So again, agreed here.

    Monitor - Agreed.

Knock out - Yes, that's the way the perk functions and

it is already good. No idea why people cry slug so much.

slugging is a legit tactic. Not camping or tunnelling.

BBQ - No. Giving you a location and direction of surv

    gives you enough info already.

    Surveillance - Agree

Make your choice - Fair buff. Agreed.

Starstruck - No. Just no. This makes this perk downright

outclass infectious fright the way you buffed it. The

perk already has a heavy enough effect that makes people

unable to body block, now you want it to be informational

too? Asking for too much here.

Bamboozle - This perk is already balanced but to double

the speed? Damn, you love to ask for too much. You might

as well go download dbd hacks and get banned 2 days later.

    Iron Maiden - agree

    Corrupt interv - Agree

Surge - that's a total of 75% gen progress if it triggers

with pop. seriously stop asking for too much.

Lethal Pursuer - Last longer agree, activate at endgame,

    disagree.

Any other perks I didn't mention is either somewhat agree.

Or I don't have enough info about the perk by using or

    facing it.

I usually never have a issue landing that but around specific locations for loops it's impossible in some cases because of the loop length.

But having a 100% chance to remove the RBT is unacceptable, it should be 70%-80% with addons for 70% because as it stands I don't believe it's 25% because everytime I try to remove it it's usually the first two boxes and doesn't do much so the trap should activate immediately or the removal rate needs to be fairer to the pig, I personally would like to see a 70% base chance to remove the RBT, but with addons 60% chance as this is still favorable for the survivors and the killer.

I'm a surv main and out of 10 player with very good basics as a killer, only 50-60% of the lunges thrown at me actually hit. If your survs know how to mindgame it and where they can and can't mindgame it, it can really get quite hard to hit.

Again for the 100%, I have no issues with pig. I'm just suggesting something cause someone else has an issue with it. He said he doesn't want luck to be involved so I took out the luck factor and made it harder to remove the RBT

I also play as assassins, hang immediately on the hook of the survivor and go look for others that's all

Sigh.. Play more killers, bro. Then you'll understand what it feels like to face 4 DS 4 Unbreakables 4 dead hards and a mix of iron will, unbreakable, spine chill, borrowed time.

That scenario is what I face like 60-70% of my killer games and it's so damn irritating. To buff unbreakable the way you said would be unfair.

  • @Faulds said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2651466#Comment_2651466

If you make survivors go through 3 boxes scattered on the map, but they have to do them all... the pig could camp one and take the game hostage easily (i think). That's why i'd rather make the survivors go through 4 boxes out of 5 (of their own choice).

The pig could do that, yes, but he wouldn't camp 1 box to let 4 survivors freely do gens.

Orrr, another idea would be to make the boxes become "buttons" that you just walk up to and press, no need for the progress bar. Then you scatter like 10-15 buttons and the surv has to hit them all to get it off.

  • @Faulds said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2651448#Comment_2651448

Currently, the maximum number of boxes is 4 (add-ons don't change it anymore; since the add-on pass). And pig's problem is inconsistency. Some games, i can down survivors easily and someone dies with a head pop... an other game, i'm barely able to down people and they get their traps off really quick. Her current power is like playing with a power one game, and with no power the other... that shouldn't be a thing since your "skill" has no part in it.

In that case, another suggestion would be to reduce the number of boxes and make it so that you need to clear all in order to remove it. Wouldn't that be better?

  • @Kiikii said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2651444#Comment_2651444

Well currently there is a 25% chance per box it should be 20-40-60-80 per box up to that gives a 20% chance to fail.

That's quite underwhelming as a power considering how her duck and lunge power can be massively played around if you do it right.

  • @KateMain86 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2615846#Comment_2615846

No, but waiting a long time for a match isn't fun either so its probably in the interest of killer mains to show a little respect and have some honor when they play. Pissing off survivors so much that they don't feel like playing anymore is just going to hurt the game. Its one thing if its end game and you haven't got a kill yet but early in the match with 4-5 gens up? Its totally unacceptable. And many killers do it for such petty reasons too. As I said, I've had them do it simply because they didn't like the map offering. I mean come on... you're going to tunnel down survivors because you had to play on a map you didn't like? You have map offerings too you know.

Not replying to this specific message but just trying to ping you.

Bruh, don't bother posting things like "tunneling or camping needs to stop". Not here at least.

I just want to put it out there that I 500% agree with you on the fact that it needs to stop but posting it here only riles up the angry mob who loves to follow the crowd and say things like "this game is already so surv sided it's unfair for killers boo hoo" "maybe you just need to get good so killers cannot catch you boo hoo"

80% of the community in this forum are self entitled people who only tell you that you're wrong without providing reasons or trying to iron the logic out. They provide zero constructive criticism with zero solutions telling you why you are wrong and then add a "git gud" like that's a solution. If git gud was a solution then the whole world would be millionares and the only problem would be finding people to do the farming on the fields.

i thought they reduced the number of boxes from 6 (with add-ons) to 4 specifically because bad rng would prevent a survivor from being able to remove the trap. So i don't think that they will back-track on that. About her ambush and her stealth, compare it to wraith and demo... you'll see how lackluster it is in game.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2651434#Comment_2651434

I thought about an add-on iridescent that would do that... but on second thought, if you can pair it with current video tape: it might be too oppressive.

I'm not sure about previous versions but so far all my games with the current version of pig has been fair. I think it's 5 boxes now.

I don't really have a problem with her tho, I'm only suggesting the change because someone else(you) is facing an issue and I always try my best to provide balanced solutions.

  • Oh... Well then it's a matter of experience and how many hours you're willing to put in per day. I'm a surv main but I do play killers from time to time. I'm not willing to invest more than 2-3 hours of my time per day usually. So, yes, I'll never get as good as the pros but I can still do decently well. Maybe you're just unlucky with who you meet.

  • @Kiikii said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/295862/pig-needs-a-rework

There only should be a 80% chance to remove the RBT so there is a fairness and all traps set in the head should not be reliant on gens so they should automatically activate.

80% chance is a bit much. People would usually get it on first try, if not, the second try. That's quite useless as a power. I don't suggest removing the part about the thing being reliant on gens tho.

First, doing that means when you knock someone down after all 5 gens, your RBT becomes an in built "blood warden" and the killer only needs to check the disarm boxes instead of checking those PLUS gens.

Second, removing that part grants the pig an ability too much pressure IF she is decent, not giving survivors enough room to make choice other than "I got RBT on me, must remove it now" and the teammates can just continue doing gens.

As you know from my post, I'm not a fan of one trick pony playstyles. Generally, both sides should be given at least 2 choices to make for every situation. To me that opens up room for counterplay from either side which makes it more fair.

  • @Faulds said:

The fact that your main power is luck based is so bad... because it doesn't depend ont the player's skill, since it depends on the player's luck. I think that making 5 jigsaw boxes spawn, and force the survivor to do 4 boxes out of 5 (of his own choice to prevent box camping) would definitely make the pig better.

And talking about the ambush, i tried the new add-on that increased your speed and your charge time. The charge time penalty is stupid and have no reason to be there. But i think that increasing the ambush dash speed would make this power way more usable. I'm so sad, as a pig main, to compare her power to Demo... cause i had such a blast using his power on every loop. I would love to see pig able to do that as well.

As much as this game is generally surv sided, pig is already fair in my opinion. The trap massively slows down gen progress because the survs have to move around the map just to take the trap off. The fact that she can squat and hide her terror radius makes her very hard to detect already. On top of that she has a super long lunge when she uses ambush. IF you really want to change pig... Here's my suggestion:

I won't touch the crouch, stealth, lunge kit.

Put more boxes to interact with for survivors to disarm reverse bear traps on the map. maybe 7 or 8 of them.

Chance to remove trap: 10-15% + 5% for each fail attempt

Traps always come off on the last possible try.

    Sound fair?

All day I've ran into 3/4 flashlights, bodyblocking survivors, two keys, adrenaline, crappy dead hard. Easily abused loops. Nerf them how can you not see that survivors are broken. Killers have like 1% chance of succeeding with survivors having the other 99% most often than not 4 man escapes. Nothing stops this crap camping subsides it a bit but we should not need to camp or tunnel to succeed. The devs are actively promoting camping and tunneling. Please sort the survivors out.

Calm down buddy, it all comes with experience. Yes, this game is surv sided but it's not as bad as the majority makes it sound. Us survs have to deal with unfair things too, REFERING TO ASIA SERVERS BEFORE ANYONE WHINES ABOUT KILLERS BEING FAIR.

I suggest you switch up killers from time to time and use different playstyles/perks. For example...

If you think flashes are an issue, you could go more sluggy, use knockout and don't hook so often, go for 4 downs. (Yes, easier said than done, I know) If not that, then the obvious lightborn but I don't use it cause lightborn is far too situational to eat a perk slot.

If you think loops are an issue, get better at killers that have a way around loops like huntress or nemesis. OR use brutal strength and bamboozle.

If you think dead hard is an issue, make sure you touch them before clicking your m1. More often than not, they have no time to react.

There's a lot more things you can work with to really help you out. It's inevitable that you fight teams that make gens fly, in fact, you'll face them 80% of the time, at least in asia servers where I'm stuck. As for bodyblocking, that's a legit tactic because they work in teams of 4. Doing that is just teamwork.

Camping and tunneling is a way to win, I will not deny that, BUT it's unethical in my opinion because they suck the fun out of someone's game so I hope you'll never develop that habit.

    Good luck on future games!

Would love to discuss but since you kept up the ad hominem all you get is this short retort

No someone isn't the victim for pointing out you decided to start insulting them because they didn't agree with you and that is a 100% not the right move to do so since all it does is, ruin discussion and won't make people agree with you, if you don't like someone's assumptions you can just tell them what they don't know without having to insult them for not knowing what they never knew in the first place.

Oh yes forgot to mention, there is a guy called k0reant3a who disagreed with me as well but I talked to him nicely because he knew to carry himself like a proper adult instead of kids telling me things like, "you're just bad at the game" "git gud" "don't ask for nerf because you're bad at the game". All without even so much as a 5% of an understanding of the unfair things I had to deal with and every detail of my post.

You can't expect people to talk to you nicely if you don't try and understand them when they speak and then you start shooting comments that are off topic/misaligned with what the other party is saying/insults/etc. Maybe your parents always talked to you nicely and pampered you no matter how much a demon child you were to them, but you can't carry such behavior into society. That's just unacceptable. Makes you a self-entitled person.

Anyway, go learn a thing or two from k0reant3a.

"Don't you think I've already tried placing things between me and trickster? The difference between taking 6 or 8 knives is that when I drop a pallet, I get damaged. With 8 knives to take a health state, I end up taking 7 knives when dropping pallets, some space to breathe then drop a health state. It's not called a senseless nerf because you haven't met tricksters doing that to you 3-4 games in a row. Either insta downing or damaging you when you drop pallets. That's the whole reason I don't complain about huntress because it's about mind gaming whereas for the trickster you have no space to breathe even when you do the right things. Think before talking please, that's not called being senseless.

I'm aware of what zombies are attracted to. So you expect me to waste pallets to kill them? So you expect me to take diversion every game? So you expect me to not utilize PTS when I can just because I face nemesis? Do you think before talking at all? Are you even in the asia servers where these things are bigger problems than other servers? If you don't understand why people have certain opinions, instead of following the majority in terms of opinion and only caring about your own games, learn to make things fair for everyone.

Don't you think I've tried asking before? Why do you keep assuming I didn't try to learn to play around it? You don't experience the things I do and we have different time availability. The solution is either I put in a ton of hours a day to learn certain techniques or a rebalancing happens. I think the former would be quite ridiculous to ask for from a working adult in a "rat race" country.

Let me put this into perspective for you. Since you say "why don't you ask how to counter instead of asking for nerfs", then picture this. You learnt boxing for a month and now your coach is asking you to fight Mayweather tomorrow. You fight and lose badly. Wouldn't you be asking your coach to give you an easier opponent in future rather than going around asking how you can beat Mayweather? Solution for you to learn is simple, either you put in the hours IF YOU EVEN HAVE THE TIME to get as good as Mayweather then fight him, or you fight at the level you want to be at. Same case here, buddy. Think before you talk."

The article above was my reply to you before you cried "person attack boohoo". point out to me the personal attack part, or did you choose to take things personally?

Read again. I did tell you what you claimed not to know. I don't know if you skipped paragraphs or your level of comprehension is below basic levels. That's not my fault either way. You take things personally and cry "personal insults!" when there were none. Is that how you win any debates in life? Maybe with your parents when you're a child, yes, but not in the real world. Up to this point, the only personal attack, which was quite a minor one at that is me calling you a kid because you're really behaving like one.

You aren't fighting mayweather you are fighting trickster a debatably easy killer to loop in most parts of most maps just know whats strong against him and use it to waste a large portion of his time if he commits to you, some strong loops include, long walls, shack pallet gyms, high wall loops, these are all some common tiles and loops that show up on almost every map and if you use them you can very effecitvely buy a lot of time, notice how I said buy time and not live forever, that is because the design of the game is for the killer to always be able to eventually catch and down you if they commit long enough before survivor objectives are finished, just understand it is part of the design for you to not be able to outrun and outloop the killer forever especially if you are both on the same skill level because the game is a 1v4 and if a killer can't even win a 1v1 then they can't really even play the game and trickster is designed to be stronger in the 1v1 than the 1v4 as shown in his decent power but low capability to win games compared to some killers who also have decent 1v1 but better 1v4

You aren't fighting mayweather you are being pestered by an ai (which thats its design) that you could just use a single pallet against so you can get value from one of your perks

Also your common sense isn't my common sense I don't know specifically everything that you know or don't know or what you have done because frankly im just not you, expecting a stranger who doesn't know who you are to know everything about you perfectly is just way too much to ask for someone just trying to say it isn't actually that bad, but since you are gonna start using ad hominem because I don't perfectly agree with you or know you inside and out and all of your dbd experience I see no point in continuing to discuss with you

The mayweather part was just an analogy dude, completely different sports.

I'm done trying to convince you, you don't play on asian servers and havent seen what I have. Whatever you tell me his counters are, I've tried them and for the most part, I can juke some tricksters and some blights. I'm talking about those that know how to use him to the full extent and I have no room for counterplay. I don't know how many times I need to say this for you to understand. Anyway, I'm not doubting that it's easy for you ON YOUR SERVER but until you try my servers, it's very clear that none of us will budge so let's stop this argument here.

Buddy, I never said you should know me inside out. You made an assumption about me. The difference here is you're placing a "guilty" tag on me before knowing my side of the story and what I'm asking you to do is find out and understand other people before you claim "instead of whining on forums, why not go ask for tips to beat trickster?" Multiple times have I mentioned the fact that I have and I know the general counters. Did you read? No you didn't. Did you assume that I suck at the game, I didn't ask, I'm not willing to learn, etc.? yes you did. So when you don't read and you make assumptions about people, is that my fault? No, but you clearly seem to think so and try to victimize yourself to make me look like the bad guy. Boo hoo kid, grow up.

yeah isn't that what I said? Right now the killers can choose to risk for slugging and making more pressure or hook but your changes means they will lose for sure if they don't hook, which is unfair for killers. Try to understand both sides, buddy, calm down and take a back seat then observe.

There’s nothing fair about being able to run a killer for that long, especially if you take the additional time in account to pick a survivor up and carry them to a hook. Assuming there are no flashlight/pallet saves, hook sabotages or other shenanigans that’s just 1 out of 12 hooks.

Meanwhile an efficient survivor team can easily do 2-3 generators out of 5 in that time frame alone.

People like you need to get into your thick skulls that it’s a 1v4 and that killers like Trickster being able to down someone out of position quickly in a 1v1 is the only thing he has. He has no map pressure, his 1v4 is abysmal.

"Nothing fair about running a killer for that long" but did I say NERF ALL KILLERS? no I said nerf those with very little counterplay for casual players. Learn to read and get that through your thick skull instead of using that line on me. Also READ. ASIA SERVER. MY PROPOSED CHANGES ARE FOR ASIA SERVER WHILST MINIMIZING DAMAGE DONE TO EVERYONE ELSE. Maybe you are just too dumb to comprehend that part but I just said it again for your sake.

Yes this game is survivor sided in general but to have games where survivors stand ZERO CHANCE UNLESS ALL 4 PLAYERS ARE PRO LEVEL, that's called unfair.

Stop making comments just to follow the flow and look cool. Learn to read and understand other people. Until you learn that life skill, you will never be a leader.

At high level of play you rarely see camping but you do see proxy camping which is a strat a lot of killers use because gens can go quick depending on how efficient the team is

I mean well yeah, you're not wrong there but proxy camping has ethical limits as well. A very special category of people in the asia servers walk around checking the same cupboards, checking behind the same walls, both being done like 10m away from the hook. That's still proxy camping and annoying to deal with. Most people in asia servers that proxy camp do it VERY unethically and that's mainly why I have a problem with it. Not sure about other servers tho.

Even without pallets most loops are over 20 meters long and still beneficial to survivors skilled survivors usually with DH or Lithe or Sprint Burst who got caught can easily break the distance to find another loop safer or the whole team can sometimes purposely body block take a hook for one who can't making it much harder to get the job done oh. That last gen popped now he is sure to lose you 99% that door does it regress? No. Even though it's a killers territory. How odd 🤔 does the entity favor survivors? 🤔 well at least we got no way out for the survivors who can hopefully hook 4 people. Before, DH, DS, BT, body blocking, odd how the killer can literally be pushed aside from the target, who knew a huge man such as Myers, Trapper, could be pushed aside by a small girl such as Claudette.

Ok, seems to me that you're a little too inexperienced and you're complaining about that. I've fought 4 rank 1s before and still won. I fought effecient teams before and still won. There are so many issues right now which are making DbD one of the most unfun games you could play currently, especially for killers. Here's a quick list of things which are adding to the dirtpile which is the killer experience right now.

    1. Dead Hard still being abused for distance or as Mettle of Man 2.0 due to the hit validation rework.
    2. Boon Totems (mostly Circle of Healing) invalidating any pressure the killer is applying. Sloppy Butcher in particular is completely worthless now.
    3. MMR isn't working, survivors still vastly outclass the killer in terms of rank and skill. No hope of winning.
    4. DDOS attacks crippling the connection of killers. I had that happen to me today, it was absolutely dreadful.
    5. Recent surge of hackers who keep finding new exploits just to make the game even worse.
    6. Too many survivor sided maps, trying to down any decent survivor will cost you 2 gens at least.
    7. Only a handful of viable killers, the rest is borderline unplayable against genrush squads. Nemesis for instance gives survivors an additional health state and speedburst.

Now I haven't experienced the basegame back in 2016 but I dare say we're on our way to reliving the dreadful balance of these days if the devs don't do something about the current state of killers soon. It's truly unplayable.

It's a bit much to be saying it's not playable for killer. I main wraith and constantly do well with him with the occasional 4 people pro parties that completely smash me. Survivors have certain unfair things for them as well. Try to consider both sides.

There's no point in discussing with you when you're nerfing Killers because you don't like them. There's nothing wrong about these Killers and you only want them nerfed due to selfish reasons.

Nemesis isn't op, nor Trickster or Blight. There's no reason to nerf them. They're fine, maybe not fun to play against but they are not unfair.

These 3 Killers require you to play differently. For Nemesis, you gotta take his Zombies into account and avoid them, which you don't want to. You want them nerfed because "unfair"

Trickster, loop loops with high walls and he can't do much.

Blight, play safe and pre drop pallets, be ready to dodge his flicks and techs.

Whatever you said, I've already tried. You don't even play in asia servers and you're calling me selfish? You don't mind keeping the way the game is at the expanse of other communities not having fun. I proposed something to make things more fair for us while also minimizing the damage done to your server, if not I would have said nerf bubba, 1 shot down too op, nerf this nerf that too op. OPOPOP.

If you're too sore just because I'm saying nerf ONLY THE UNFAIR THINGS, then sure, you win, I'm selfish.

If you were educated enough to read, you'd be seeing things like I play in asia server, different community. I played in Aussie servers before and had no issues there. I've already tried to play around them. I'm speaking for casual players. But no, you chose to be uneducated and make arguments based off your selective reading just because the other people seem to think that way or your community is comfortable where it is so no need to think about asia servers.

Oh America seems to be doing fine as a country! No need to solve problems like hunger in Africa! No one else should complain about their problems because America is fine! <<< This is the kind of mindset you portray and you call me selfish. Nice.

  • Yes, I understand that it's stressful on killers. I do play killers too and I find it way harder compared to survivors. The thing I'm more focused on is making the game more fun for BOTH PARTIES to play. In this post, I'm just saying that since camping doesn't progress the killer much and it also kills the fun of the camped person, it's somewhat considered griefing. So my point here is camping is not ok because one party gets to "have fun" and the other party doesn't because of that.

  • @ThatOneDemoPlayer said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2649062#Comment_2649062

Trickster was definitely nerfed. His 1v4 got removed from the game, which is what matters in dbd, not a strong 1v1. Your changes wouldn't rebalance him at all, it's more of a nerf. You're nerfing his 1v1 with almost no compensation while buffing his movement speed by 0.1 meters. That's nothing.

Blight is not unfair. He's a fairer version of Nurse in every aspect. His 1v1 is good but counterable, if you're going to nerf him, nerf Alchemist Ring to only grant 3 Rushes after a successful hit. His base kit is fine otherwise.

Zombies are not too strong. Ask anyone on the forums and they'll say the zombies get stuck in corners atleast twice every game. They did something? You're unlucky. Adapt.

This whole post is about you not trying to adapt to Killers. All of the Killers you mentioned are easy to outplay and are average (below average in Trickster's case, top tier in Blight's case) at best. The game shouldn't be balanced around casual Survivors, it's why, like I said, so many Killers get unnecessary nerfs like the Killers in your post

First off, let me clarify, do you even play in the asia servers and experience what I do? Judging from the way you make your arguments, you play in a server with a way nicer community, correct me if I'm wrong.

    Next the killers,

For trickster, how is dropping a pallet and getting damaged for it a nerf to trickster? Don't even talk about open maps where 2 health states get taken from me in 5 seconds, BUT I GET DAMAGED FROM LOOPING RIGHT AND DROPPING A PALLET. If he respects and I don't drop it, he walks through and hits me anyway. If he respects and sees me dropping it, he lays 6 daggers into me. Then what am I supposed to do? I drop it, I get hit. I don't drop it, I get hit anyway. Windows aren't any different by the way. Where is the counter play?

For blight, how is he fair? Nurse is a stronger killer but you don't see me complaning about her do you? I get team wiped 3-5 minutes into the game by nurses from time to time and I never once complained about that. You can mind game a nurse anywhere but for a good blight, even within most loops, they can still hit me while I'm looping properly. If I can't juke them on loops then where do I juke them? How is that fair?

For the zombies, are you even reading? Everything I wrote about the zombies was their presence on the map. They cover so many areas that I can't even fix gens properly. On top of nerfing them I did propose other buffs, didn't I? All you can see is the nerfs because you're sore and can't take it that I'm nerfing ANY KILLER AT ALL. I'm not nerfing them all buddy, just these 3 really unfair ones.

If you want to put it in such a light that makes it seem like I refuse to adapt. Then why do you sound like you refuse to adapt to killer nerfs as well? Because the game is surv sided like so many people claim?? You keep expecting people to adapt to things no matter how unfair they are instead of adapting to things yourself. I am proposing changes to UNFAIR KILLERS, ONLY 3 OF THEM SO FAR. Did you hear me say nerf spirit? I was even fine with the spirit before the nerf. Did you hear me say nerf nurse? Nerf bubba? nerf billy? nerf trapper? No. None at all. So it's ok for things to be unfair in favour of killers but we surv mains can't ask for JUST THE UNFAIR PARTS to be balanced? Here's an example of what you're doing, your company isn't doing well and the boss takes home less money compared to your pay. It's ok for him to physically and verbally abuse you? Start thinking for others, buddy, not just your own community.

  • @Maliken said:

If you can run decent or good killers for up to 1 minute 30 seconds on a chase as you claim, then you’re in no position to call for nerfs for these killers.

You don't read, do you? running 1 min 30 seconds etc is in normal games where there are ethical and fair killers. The 3 killers mentioned in this discussion is the ones I deem unfair and I can't even run them for 20 seconds. Do you think before speaking?

Tricksters room for counter play is using proper spacing and putting stuff between you and the killer, just like huntress

the difference between the two is the windows of opportunity they need between the two killers, trickster can make the most out of small windows by building up damage and huntress benefits from larger windows but can't build up damage

they both have their own counterplay but neither of them is the weakest killer since they have a power to help them down survivors in a chase but something to note their is no counterplay in the open, you need to find ways to put stuff between you and the killer or be healthy and use the speed boost from perks or being injured to give yourself that distance or run in advance, that is the best way to counter trickster and its honestly not way too hard

If trickster doesn't have room for counterplay at 6 knives he wouldn't have room for counterplay at 8 that would need a whole rework from what it is now so it would be a senseless nerf

You can kill zombies with pallets, lead them away, or blind them to stun them, zombies have counterplay but they are indeed there to waste some of the survivors time and give the killer a way to tier up without survivors, they have plenty of ways to counter but most important is to know how they function which can make it a lot easier to counter them

for example zombies are attracted to noise notifications, meaning failed skillchecks, unhooks, discordance procs, fish perk, and pebble are all ways that zombies can be attracted to a location and if they see a survivor when going to that location they will go after you, knowing little things like this can help you play smarter against the nemesis such as not pairing up on gens to prevent discordance from attracting zombies, it feels you just need to try harder to counter them or just use a pallet to kill them for 45 seconds

The zombies are just fine they just require more mindful play and getting to know them a bit better also there is only 2 zombies not 3

None of these things really need changes they just need more mindful play on your behalf, which as you are hopefully suggesting you should be capable of if you tried. Rather than talking about nerfing them why don't you try asking others how to play around them better since that is seemingly what you are really asking here with these nerfs

Don't you think I've already tried placing things between me and trickster?

Think before you talk.

These don't sound like the best changes even for causal players, if you are a casual player you probably won't have a high enough mmr to face many good blights so its unlikely a casual player would want changes it more sounds like a player who isn't casual but doesn't want to learn how to play against a killer

Trickster changes to make him into old trickster but with slightly higher movespeed, throwspeed but less knives but it takes more knives to injure just doesn't sounds fun

Nemesis change is just confusing, does it make 1 zombie that always knows where survivors are or just 1 zombie thats just slightly better than current zombies which sounds like a massive nerf because current zombies aren't the best and usually get stuck so now with all your eggs in one basket a single stuck zombie across the map isn't that fun

Overall I can't see these being changes that would make the game better

It's not that I don't want to learn how to play against those killers. If that's the case then I won't even be able to run a single killer. I can run a nurse just fine and I can't run tricksters. See how ironic that is since you guys love to call nurse the strongest and trickster the weakest? If you don't play on asian servers you will never understand.

I don't doubt that the old trickster isn't much of a fun thing to play but with the way he is now, he can either touch me, throw 12 daggers and I go down or wait till I reach a pallet that I MUST drop, he respects and hits 6 daggers then rinse and repeat. Where is the room for counter play? That's even less fun for survs to deal with especially like 2 minutes into the game.

As for the nemesis part, yes, the pathing needs to change so they don't get stuck, very much agreed there BUT I have had games where I spend 5 minutes looking for a good gen to do before even touching a gen. Go to one gen, guarded by zombie, go to next gen, fix fix fix, zombie comes, I let go, Ruin takes effect. Find another gen, fix fix fix. killer comes for me, chase and get hooked. Unhooked, go find gen, zombie guarding, find another gen, another zombie guarding. How is that not unfair? In all these cases, it's just picking the killer that sets the killer at a massive advantage, not the skill of the player. Sometimes I even go to maps that I reach a loop and a zombie is waiting there so I have to leave that loop and that specific loop takes me like 30 or so seconds to reach the next decent loop, in which, killer gets free hit. When I reach the next loop, another zombie waits there and the same thing happens. Again, point here is that killer literally has to just pick that killer and profit from it so much that it becomes unfair. My proposed change to nemesis is to make them better tools to nemesis by changing their pathing so they don't get stuck and MAYYYYYBE walk a bit faster BUT reduce the amount of presence and area control they have within each map.

Call me whatever you want, I know I am a decent casual player, both for surv and killer. On average I can run a decent killer for about 1 minute and 30 seconds, a good killer for maybe 40 secs to a minute and I ever ran new killers for the entire 5 gens so I know I qualify as a decent casual player. And don't ask me to learn to run rank 1s for 5 gens, I don't have that much time like streamers do just to get better at the game to that extent.

    Of course I´m casula i have a work and a life i can´t be 8 to 12h a day on this game

Which map has 50+ pallets bro? The most I heard is 26 pallets in a map and they are spread out. That's why pros do things like creating dead zones and manipulating chase paths.

About the camping thing, first off, I have had games where the killer catches and face camps the first person he catches. By the time the person dies, we just open the gates and 3 escapes. Camping is a bad strat for killers to win and not only that, the more important thing is that campers suck out the fun for another player, which I think is "unethical". To win or have fun or have fun by winning, you do it at the expanse of another person's fun. So why do it? Of course that wouldn't be ok. How would you feel if someone else did that to you?

Ok I think I need to rephrase. Yes while the game is surv sided IN GENERAL, there are very unfair things survs have to deal with as well, such as the trickster issue I mentioned in the previous comment.

Just calm down and gain more experience and you'll realise that unless you fight all rank 1 bully squads, it aien't that bad like you described. I'm a wraith main for killer side and I manage to do decent constantly. Either gain experience or change a killer with a different playstyle.

this motivates the killers to immediately hang on the hook and look for the next survivors and not leave them bored on the ground

I get your point but as mentioned, killers already have a hard time. If you're a casual killer player like myself, you'd understand. To buff unbreakable the way you said it should means that you're taking away another of the killer's already limited number of options to generate pressure. This part of the game already fair. To buff it again without a nerf is the unfair thing.

  • @ThatOneDemoPlayer said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/295359/changes-to-killers

Trickster wasn't buffed, he got nerfed, no reason to nerf him even further.

Blight isn't an issue, if you think he's uncounterable, you just gotta git gud.

Nemesis never had 3 Zombies, he only has 2 that get stuck in a corner 9/10 matches. If they actually did something and you couldn't do gens, then they somehow managed to do their jobs.

The game is almost always being balanced for casuals, it's why so many Killers are bad and get nerfed for no reason (Pinhead, Billy, Slinger, Pig).

First let's talk about trickster.. Nerfed how? by letting him eat 1 health state with 6 daggers? By buffing his movement speed when throwing daggers since his release? That's not a nerf at all. I'm proposing a rebalance to him, not just nerfing him. You make an invalid point here.

Next, we move on to blight. I'm tired of people saying "to achieve this or that, you simply need to git gud". Why are you not the CEO of apple? GIT GUD. why are you not the richest man on earth, GIT GUD. See how ridiculous you sound? Instead of brushing things away, solve problems and find solutions. That's a real life lesson for you. Yes, you can down me in 2 bounces, you may or may not be a super good blight but isn't that my point? As tough as he is to use, when you know how to use him, it becomes so unfair for us to fight him.

Lastly the zombies, as mentioned in earlier comments, I have seen 2 zombies at one corner guarding gens, got frustrated and ran to the other side of the map only to find another zombie waiting there for me. MULTIPLE TIMES. Yes, maybe I got my facts wrong because I didn't research enough about him but my point here is that it's way too strong, especially for something a killer doesn't have to do himself. Killer just has to put on ruin and play nemesis and he can automatically pressure 3-4 gens at once. That's the unfair part.

And I don't know if you read my post and comments to other people but I will repeat here. Pros have the skillset to counter anything thrown at them. You give Ortz a killer that walks at 4.1m/s with a weak ability, I guarantee you he will find a way to make it work. Likewise with the other streamers who does mainly survivors. Many changes results in CASUAL players suffering and that's why I'm proposing this change to balance things and solve problems for us while trying not to turn the pro's gameplay too much.

Also, I'm not saying nerf every single killer. Just the unfair ones. I get teamwiped by good nurses here and there but I don't complain about nurses because the whole thing is about mind gaming each other, again to reiterate my point, space to counterplay one another.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2646711#Comment_2646711

But you forget that there are casual killers, and nerfing every killer into casual mode makes that experience very unfun. There are mechanics in these killers that people who decide to practice them can learn and get good at. Blights are downing you because they practice these mechanics. If you are a "Casual survivor" you are probably getting down my blight in 2 bounces or less. You just have bad games agaisnt blight and want a nerf so you see less of him. Nerfing pretty strong killers just makes more play out of super strong killers like nurse. Be careful what you wish for because you get everything that comes with it.

My friend, I do sometimes play killer and I am a wraith main. Can get my 4k here and there with the exception of the occasional god runners and god teams. With a basic skillset like mine as a killer, I still have a fighting chance even with the "weakest killer in the game". My idea is that survivors all run at the same speed and do the same thing but for killers, I can just pick a really strong one and the survivors will have zero fun the entire game.

I'm not out there to smash the killer's gameplay, don't get me wrong. I'm just looking to nerf killers with little room for counterplay to make it more fair for casual survs who don't have the skillset to counter every single thing.

Take league of legends and dota for example. There are heroes that counter each other in terms of base kit. But playstyle and choice of items can win the disadvantaged ones the game.

Then now if you look back at dbd, trickster for example. I just have to get good at one single trick and keep rinsing and repeating it then the survs have no way to win or have fun.

Hope you can understand where I'm coming from.

  • @Pacciani said:

I have found this in "ask to the community" section:

"Why does every map have 50+ pallets? Why does every map have more and more junk stacking higher and higher that no killer can see over any longer? Why are the maps smaller? Why do the survivors all play with Dead hard and its not been nerfed? Why did Ebony Mori's get nerfed? Why did they implement the SBMM despite everyone in their community crying for them not to kill their game like other online games have with such an update? Why do the devs say in interviews that the game is intended to be stressful for the killer player?

Why do the survivor players ( especially the twitch streames ) have to be so terribly toxic by tea bagging every killer who did or didn't camp, or tunnel them? Why does every survivor have some form of ,self satisfying, unwritten rulebook of killer conduct, then cry at the end of the match about how the killer broke those rules to get a 4 k?

Is every killer who gets a 4 k a trash killer, because they won a match??"

and there are much more so can some Dev answer to this?

Buddy, you sound to me like a casual killer main. While I agree with you on the "why must survivors bm/teabag/etc" part, I don't completely agree that this game is surv sided. You need to spare a thought for other casual surv mains as well. I know it's frustrating, and as a casual surv main myself, I somewhat feel the same way about killers. Why must they tunnel and camp and make it so not fun to play dbd anymore? It happens to much in the asia servers where I'm stuck in.

There are things unfair for us to deal with as well, like trickster. He only needs to hit 6 blades for a health state. I've had games where the killer knows how to use him and literally touches me and spam daggers, down me and move to my friend then do the same. 2 hooks within 2 minutes with very little counterplay options. Things like this are bigger problems that need to be fixed.

  • @Hunter_Main_322 said:

Remove the restriction to stand up 1 time per game

Increasingly, there are two types of killers (both toxic) camping or playing off the ground

    While both options tunnel survivors

Make it so that with this perk you can get up without restrictions

Then it would force the killer to hang the players on the hook.

Also, when there are 2 survivors left, the game turns into a dull hide and seek where the survivor has no goal and the killer who knocks down the survivor has an advantage, since you, with your hatch updates, did not leave a chance to the last and penultimate survivor

Have you ever spared a thought for killer players? It's already tough on them as it is. Some games they have to deal with 4 DS and that's already bad enough. On top of that, there's the occasional 1 or 2 unbreakables that's really annoying to deal with cause there's no way to see if someone has it until it happens. Sometimes you get 3 or 4 unbreakables that a killer slugs to create pressure but about 30 seconds later you realise you can't hit who you're chasing and all the pressure you created is now gone because of unbreakable. All that while 2 gens pop in your face.

If you want to make it an infinite thing, sure, but there has to be a nerf as well.

    Suggestion:

You can now fully recover from the ground

    You recover at -30% / -25% / -20% speed.

Even in this case, you can literally have someone 99 your recovery, put on soul guard and wait for the killer to come back so you can rub it in his face. And then there's the new boon totem coming to help you recover faster from dying state and let's you get up an infinite number of times. That's way too OP.

Before all the killer mains and noob killers lose their minds and start crying No One Escapes Death needs nerfed.

What NOED should be is Once the Doors are powered you get the exposed status if you are on Death hook. NOED doesn't help killers become better if all they run is NOED. They get looped all game long and only get two maybe three hooks all game long. Then bam let's get this guy on the hook and facecamp. It happens everytime a killer runs NOED. AND I MEAN EVEEY SINGLE TIME. Then they might get two or three kills because teammates try to get the survivor. but can't.

And before I hear killers cry about D Strike. Well the Devs nerfed D strike into the ground into basically being useless. NOED should get the same treatment.

If you are on deathhook then you get exposed once the exit gates are powered. Not this not even getting downed all game long, pop the last gen, still don't know I'm exposed until I'm half way to the guy on hook just to get hit once and oh look I'm exposed, and I'm just now finding out. These kinds of perks enable killers to continue to play bad.

Well, I hate noed too because I'm a survivor main and I agree with your viewpoints except that I don't think NOED should be nerfed, not directly at least. As of now, Jill's perk "counterforce" is a strong counterplay on noed if you clear all totems. Try to spare a thought for the killers.

    4v1 means that

4 perks and a skill has to fight 16 perks and 4 items. That has 2 health states and able to go on the hook twice each. I'm not saying this game is survivor sided or anything but can you imagine not nerfing DS and then the killer has to eat it 4 times? That's really unfair compared to a totem you can clear to rid the noed hex and an audible one at that OR just clear all totems during the game.

I hope you think in a "fair for everyone" standpoint.

I regret to inform you that I have been shamed and humiliated, and probably won't play this anymore.

Palewater Swamp, I was Nemesis. I did everything I could, I tried every trick to help myself here but it was all meaningless. At least three of them had Dead Hard and genrushed the absolute oblivion out of me. I was running Lethal Pursuer, BBQC, Spies from the Shadows, and NOED, because I just knew I was going to need serious help.

Not even NOED helped me. I was humiliated beyond belief, even standing in the exit gate was worthless because they all saved their Dead Hards for that precise moment. After the trial I was filled with nothing but shame, should I even be playing this game?

This game is not killer-sided, complain about NOED all you want but these Survivors are nasty. I don't even deserve to be salty, literally everything that happened was of my own incapability. I feel like I don't even deserve to play this game anymore after the stunt I just pulled.

Maybe the issue isn't with your skill as a killer. I suggest playing different styles. I don't know the full picture because I'm not you but here's my 2 cents worth

People say nurse and blight are top tier but for nurse, I mostly get 1-2 kills and blight, I usually get none.

People say wraith is the weakest killer in the game but I can somewhat do decently constantly(3 or 4 kills) even when fighting bully squads.

I get that it's rough but survivors have issues they need to face as well. Don't let that get you down and try different styles of killer. Experience on knowing what to do and how to find survivors is important and that can only come with time and the hours you put in. Other than that it's the style of the killer's kit

If you prefer stealth like I do, try ghostface, pig and wraith

If you prefer a more tactical playstyle like setups etc, trapper, hag, corrupt purge

If you prefer ranged, Huntress, trickster, deathslinger

If you prefer 1 shot killers, billy, bubba, myers

If you prefer basic attack runners, clown, doctor, pinface

If you like to shutdown loops, Huntress, trickster, executioner, nurse

Disclaimer: I speak from the viewpoints of casual players, so casual survs vs casual killers.

    Hope this helps.

If i use deli in basement i dont want to be forced to lose ds because im "not being tunneled" even though the killer right near me.

I'm a survivor main and I should be saying yes but I voted no to this. I'm all about making the game more fair.

Pros can counter anything thrown at them so I will speak for casual players. For casual killer players, it's already so hard to breathe when survs take the current DS. To have it buffed again, that would be quite unfair to killers. To put it into perspective on why I think so, let's do a bit of theory math here.

80 secs to solo fix a gen.

If 1 person gets chased, 3 people solo gens, 2 gens left.

In general, a casual player runs for about 30 seconds per health state. 2 health states is 60 seconds. Killer cleaning his weapon is about 5 seconds each so about 10 seconds. Hooking someone takes 10-15 seconds.

    Total of 80-85 seconds.

If you're facing good survivors, 2 gens should pop and the third will pop as you reach it. If not, you chase the person away, someone takes over and it pops anyway.

In a situation where DS would even matter to the killer, he has to tunnel the unhooked. Taking the est 15 seconds to wait out the borrowed time, 1 health state for 30 seconds and he goes down. Now the killer either...

1)picks him up and eats a DS and and chase the poor guy again then have the remaining 2 gens popped then his team comes take hits for him while the exit gates are opening

    or

    2) He slugs in fear of DS and the surv gets picked up by his teammates and needing to fear an additional perk called unbreakable and then the pressure he applied by tunneling gets nullified anyway.

Either of the 2 scenarios aren't fun for casual killers. If you face a really good killer, buffing DS wouldn't matter anyway. If your worry was on "what if I just got unhooked and I want to go unhook another person" then let me ask you.. Killer knocks you down and the person you unhooked starts running. Since the unhooked person was so close, don't you think the killer would chase the unhooked person and slug you to generate more pressure? Then your DS wouldn't have mattered anyway.

Yes, maybe it would matter in the case of a casual killer but it's already so hard for them to breathe as it is. Why make life tougher for them?

1 2 3
