Slenderman.
Everyone seems to want him, but no one knows his story. Therefore, no one seems to realize that it's NOT a killer.
So nothing to do in DBD.
-
I distinguish Teabagging for politeness (one or two slow squats) from Teabagging for humiliation (spam). The same thought applies to the nod of the killer's head.
-
She went completely silent in endgame chat.
Surprising.
Every time I've blocked and killed a Survivor inside the Exit Door compound has resulted in a flurry of insults in the ending chat. Because it's well known, it's the killer's fault if you don't decide to leave when you can.
-
We will soon be blamed for playing the new killer of the new chapter. It's getting worse.
-
In principle, I do not want to tunnel. It doesn't amuse me in SoloQ, so I don't do it as a killer.
However, right now almost every one of my games has a Survivor that forces bodyblock with BT from being unhooked.
After a while, I want to be nice, but not stupid. I tunnel to death from there.

But what if we buff those killers instead of making any killers slightly above the bottom of B tier overly oppressive.
Also, like,my friend plays tons of Onryo and constantly 4Ks. She's not hard either. I just like Oni/PH/Huntress because they're mechanically fun.
Well, surely your friend is better than me. I can't put hundreds of hours into this game and I don't want to continually play the same meta perks. If I want to play, I don't know, with Bloodhunt, I want to be able to hit at least 2k without breaking a sweat which was impossible for me before.
-
You play Oni and Executioner. Good. Two A tier killers.
Let me have a little fun with Trapper, Clown or Onryō. I don't want the old DH.
-
My first three games after the update were against three SWF that abused the bodyblock and the Deliverance + BT combo in the end game, sprinkled with t-bags all the way.
Well done BHVR.
-
Yeaaaah... The return of bullying by the SWF.
Being able to play any killer with any build without breaking a sweat didn't last long.

Solo there is just as bad, but true.
I only play single player and have never had the issues everyone mentions. I hardly meet anyone, to be completely honest. PvE is often more difficult for me.
-
Only DH annoys me. To the point that I don't want to play the game anymore until it's fixed.
BT, DS, UB... it's rare that these perks can get on my nerves.

I didn't say the killer would be bad in this scenario, they just weren't able to pressure gens, and noed would give a massive helping hand especially when paired with remember me or no way out.
At high MMR, NOED is mandatory on some weak Killers. What you are describing is an End Game build, often completed by Blood Warden. This is exactly what I use with my Trapper. Explain to me OBJECTIVELY how I can win a game with such a weak and slow killer without NOED to make it easier to apply my End Game build against a high MMR SWF ?
Don't answer, it's not possible.
-
Play Sea of Thieves instead.
-
It's not so much the toxic behavior that bothers me, in general. Rather the lack of sanctions or means of response behind.
IRL, someone who spends ~10mn trying to piss me off, or even insult me, during any game or sport will often suffer physical consequences that will put them in their place. IG, I can't do anything, BHVR can't do anything, and I can only suffer what kids would never dare to do IRL.
Long live the end of anonymity on the Internet.
-
That some people get a reality out of their heads once and for all: we don't all want to be "good". Some just want to play original builds, have long games, not have to sweat and especially not to be bullied by the winning side. We don't all have a "problem", so to speak, with the hard-earned victory. It's a game. A GAME. And the MMR prevents this view of things.
My best memories in this game are from low MMR or old green ranks. As soon as we climb, it's just hell and I don't want to play this game anymore. I have NOTHING to gain from being a God in this game. No money, no reputation, no title.
So yeah, without going to wish for "baby" opponents, I want opponents as casual as me. What MMR definitely does not offer me.
-
Just as annoying as having a little ######### that spends its time click-click, T-bag, emote spam. Camp is then extremely relaxing and satisfying.
-
Play how you want. You start a game to have fun, YOU. Not for Survivors. Stop always taking their complaints into consideration.
I really like playing Myers Scratched Mirror on Lery or RPD. Some Survivors thank me for being cool in the game, others insult me for being scared or bored.
I do not care. I play how I want.
-
DS only annoys me when he allows the team toxic to escape during the EGC through the coordination of his SWF. Otherwise, I hardly ever trigger it.
DH much bothers me and I hope his nerve happen during the anniversary.
-
Everything would already be better if there were real sanctions, even for so little. Man is thus made, an eternal immature child who behaves correctly only under threat. In a game or IRL, same fight. See what a lax policy looks like with DBD.
-
I never say anything.
Problem solved.
-
Leatherface, Twins, Spirit.
-
Old maps.
Before, you couldn't see anything, it was foggy, almost dreamlike. The cards had a vibe. We were in the Fog.
Now ? Coldwin Farm is in broad daylight.
-
Trapper is part of my mains. I like not to necessarily chase and wait for survivors to fall into the traps I try to place in unlikely places. With an End Game build, this killer is enjoyable.
Myers is really boring, though. Just an M1 killer who needs to stand still to charge an extremely basic power.
-
Killer failed his main objective which is kill survivors before gens are done.
I don't understand this tendency, especially present among Survivors, to believe that the game is over when the 5th generator is finished. Because she is not.
The Survivor's objective is to escape. The Killer's objective is to sacrifice the Survivors before they escape.
Repairing the generators is just one step in the Survivor's escape process. But it does not mark its success. Survivors still need to open at least one of the two exit doors. The killer can still sacrifice them during this phase.
Stop believing that the repair of the 5 generators sign the victory of the Survivors.
-
When a killer isn't camping, he's T-bag at the exit doors. Just keep that fact in mind.
-
Thanatophobia is also correct on the Nurse. Of course, you have to know how to play the Nurse for that, because you have to be able to quickly hit several Survivors.
-
BBQ doesn't seem to work for me either. A little frustrating during a Bloodhunt.

you are lucky, i cant play horror games, i was able to beat RE 2(old one) but thats it, and dino crisys, thats it, im extremely afraid of even playing horror games, i just watch videos on youtube or read wikipedia, i wouldnt be able to play things like silent hill
At the beginning I could not even launch Slender more than 5 minutes without leaving the game when I had no headset and I was not in the dark, haha.
-
I would be almost jealous of the exaggerated reaction of some. I now have so many years of experience with the horror genre (movies, books, video games) that I feel absolutely nothing about jumpscare.
When I first got Sadako's, I just did "Meh..." and I was almost sad about it because it was good originality from the developers.

People keep saying this but at what strength level does SoloQ need to be at? Because the problem is that some killers just can't do anything against the strongest survivor strategies, looping and gen rush. They need tools to be able to combat that, because unless they drastically redesign the game thats always going to be a problem
Precisely... I believe that the game should be redesigned from the beginning. Even if it's impossible.
If Killers are too strong, SoloQ will be EVEN more unliveable than it is now and hardly anyone will want to play alone. If SoloQ becomes too strong or equal to SWF, there is still the problem 3 ~ 4 viable Killers, the rest must be lucky to 1k.
I'm really struggling to be positive about the future of the game as I only play SoloQ or Killer.
-
Make SoloQ viable first before you want to make all killers as strong as Nurse or Blight. SoloQ even makes Trapper OP based on teammates level.
-
Which ones do I like the most ?
Trapper : I love that feeling of watching the survivor run, or even T-bag, and then walk into the trap. Simply, it is one of the killers where the success of your plan is the most enjoyable.
Pig : Because we're gonna play a game.
Clown : nobody likes him, I love him. His laugh, his big belly and how he manages to be extremely boring with the blindness of his bottles.
Demogorgon : because Stranger Things.
Deathslinger : his laugh, and I love going fishing.
Trickster : it stinks of class with its animations.
Sadako : Because Ring.
-
Got it on my second try on Mother's Dwelling. I used the add-on to visualize the Leap target and the one to suppress Victor's screams, then just "camped" the hook with Victor at 10m. Survivors quickly understood what I was doing and played the game, I thank them.
-
I especially hate playing with Hillbilly and Leatherface. Oni doesn't amuse me either. Twins and Artist are abominably slow. Freddy is annoying because of the dream world. And I brain myself with Spirit when I use his power.
-
I got the Iri I Survivor two weeks ago, after two whole months of only playing Survivor SoloQ tryhard (Spoiler : I didn't have fun).
It was surely one of the worst experiences I've ever had in a video game. Without lying, I had less difficulty to finish Sekiro.
I sincerely wish you enormous courage.
-
I'm also interested in the answer. Can we have one ?

The post isn't about that why are you focusing on that ? You chosen to address that but not the tunneling and face camping that caused survivors to DC?
Because whatever you say on this forum, the killers will ALWAYS bring it all back to them.
Welcome to this forum where survivors are evil and always wrong and where killers are small, fragile, helpless things.

I tell you again you have to fully repair the gen by yourself. Regression stops your progress.
What ? Pain resonance resets progress, right ? So what ? I have to manage to repair a generator without any teammate coming and without the killer touching the generator ? If this is the case, it's really a crap design.
Because I repaired, from 0% to 100%, an generator ALONE.
And then, it's still written "for a TOTAL of 1 full repair". So what else ? BHVR can't write ?

The only thing I could think of is that you don't have 4 empty perk slots available. So they didn't code it to actually accept that has equipping 0 perks. You could maybe try to submit a bug report to see if they can fix this.
I will try with another survivor who has 4 perk slots.
Finally... later, because it largely cut me the desire to try this horror.
-
@Tiufal said:
You have to fully repair those gens by yourself.
That's what I did and I've already explained it. I can read a description of achievement, though.
-
I repaired one alone, which even suffered regression by Pain Resonance, and I almost repaired another alone, but helped by a teammate in the remaining 20%.
I'm pretty sure I checked all the boxes for achievement, but... What's more, I have 4 Iridescent Emblems, I don't see how I could do "better"...
-
Find a SWF. It will go faster than waiting for SoloQ or MMR to be improved by BHVR.

I never even said it’s completely out of question that you might be right. But maybe stop acting like your assumptions are god-spoken. You are just assuming and you are not even considering that their might be other factors than BHVR that could have lead to the state we now have.
and stop acting like you know everything when you actually stated that the Scream license was in DbD without a survivor or map.
and how in the world is the Stranger Things case proving that the contracts are in disfavour for BHVR? Renewal of licenses works just like that and if it’s not getting renewed it can’t be sold anymore obviously, otherwise, everything else stayed in the game and BHVR can also make balance changes etc for Demo.
I know very well that they only have the Ghostface costume, and that is enough to prove to me their incompetence in the management of licenses. They just crumbs instead of trying to offer something grand and respectful to each license.
Between the current state of the game and the catastrophic management of licenses, you really have to be naive to believe that BHVR knows what they are doing. And I repeat and will repeat it, the second chapter RE only serves to bring back the sheep of the first chapter who left from last August. BHVR is so deep abyss of incompetence that they can play on the ephemeral success of a chapter on license.
And yeah, I'll keep my divine words whether you like it or not. When we see the mess that is DBD, we can only regret that it is a studio as unqualified as BHVR that takes care of it.

Sorry. But no. You have exactly zero proof for this statement and you are just making destructive accusations against BHVR based on your assumptions and nothing more. You were not part of the negotiations, you haven’t seen anything of the contracts etc.
Excuse me for not idolizing your deities.
The Stranger Things case is enough to realize that the contracts are in permanent disfavour with BHVR, which proves that the negotiations are always only one way.
-
@Mooks said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2960233#Comment_2960233
It has nothing to do with me liking it or disagreeing with it.
you said that BHVR doesn’t properly know how to negotiate the use of a license but you don’t have any basis for this statement whatsoever and you are completely ignoring the fact that with these negotiations two sides are involved and BHVR has shown to bring in good licensed stuff and even renewing their existing licenses (except one) and even getting new content for almost all of them.
My job is precisely to negotiate acquisition contracts for companies. I certainly know this universe better than you. I am convinced that BHVR does not know how to negotiate the acquisition of licenses correctly or is too stingy to put the desired price. What justifies my thought that they prefer the ease with laxer licenses on exploitation.

Well, people like you that are only complaining (instead of giving constructive criticism) are still here and supporting the game as well.
You don't like it, so it's not constructive. Typical of people on a forum who can't stand being disagreed with.
-
@Mooks said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2960132#Comment_2960132
You don’t understand that this is not solely up to BHVR it seems. It depends heavily on the license holder and what they actually are willing to let BHVR do with their license. Stranger Things not being renewed is very likely mostly on Netflix, NOES having the remake version and not getting anything more is diente the license holder being very restrictive, Valve/whoever owns L4D are apparently not willing to get monetary gain from this licensing this Bill -and the rift outfit- being free and there is not a paid chapter.
So what ? We may have RE chapter every year because BHVR not properly known negotiate the use of a license and it's the only one that shows lax with them because it failed with RE : Resistance and it seeks a redemption ?
Well, between that and all of the game's current issues - which won't be fixed this year, you have to be naïve to believe - DBD will definitely need the RE fanbase to survive.
-
@Mooks said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2960097#Comment_2960097
That doesn’t really make any sense. You also really can’t generalize the RE fanbase as RE is one of the biggest horror videogame franchises and has a pretty diverse fanbase.. just say you don’t like RE and would have preferred something else but don’t try to justify it by making up stuff.
and they kinda teased with the new Realm that older killers without maps might get a new map within this realm as it’s pretty much an amalgamation of memories.
No, you don't understand or don't want to understand. What bothers me are the means implemented for a license that has ALREADY had its chapter (not to mention cosmetics) - when others have had almost nothing except a single character - in such a short period of time. And I haven't even mentioned the loss of Stranger Things.
Again, if you're happy, it'll make easy money for BHVR, but don't come asking me to be when it smacks of commercial ease.
