drop a pallet every 80 seconds?? Broken and would be a meta perk always used, they (killers) would always use it at the beginning of the game in the most safe, unless it has a strong downside, which would be not being able to break pallets anymore (only after survivor vault it), or else giving the survivors a perk to rebuild broken pallets every 80 seconds.
Anyway, zashin doesn't need that, there's nothing wrong with a strategic perk that has a solid effect and is better and much more used by few killers.
Downside you break pallets 25% slower

they could make this his terror radius and chase music
If this was his chase music then I would willingly forsake gens just to have epic chase music.

A simple buff that would be amazing. If a survivor gets hit while the chain is retracting, suffer a 5% hindered penalty for 8 seconds

Since survivors pretty much get a 100% bonus all the time there doesn’t currently seem to be any issues with attracting killers so instead I think it’d be a good way for both survivors to face a larger variety of killers and for killers to get some extra bloodpoints.
For example a popular killer like Nurse or Wesker might get no bonus but a killer like the Twins or Freddy who aren’t played very often might get 100%.
Finally the twins will get a 2% increase in pick rates!

It doesn't need to be killswitched, that's not what the killswitch is for. I do agree with adjusting it though.
The easiest fix imo is just making it 4% per token instead of 5%. The cooldowns will still be shorter than before all the way up to 7 tokens, and then about the same at 8. I wouldn't be against it having some kind of anti-camping measure as well.
Doing it your way would effectively bring it into balance.
Old version at max stacks has a 1.8 second cool down.
Current version has a 1.56 second cool down.
Your version has a 1.78 second cool down.

they can't reduce his m/s after vaulting because he would be like old legion, there wouldn't be any counter-play to his ability because you can't dodge m1 attacks since they're homing.
they should just allow him to use 2nd bound after vaulting a pallet. the survivor can side-step 2nd bound, so its fair. it would help him a lot in tile-sets. make him a high-tier killer with large skill-cap/skill-ceiling.
I agree with rest in regards charge time and recharge on his power being too long.
Edit: I still win like 70% of my games playing killer, its just that I wish wesker was based more on my killer play rather then survivor's mistakes at loops & poor gen efficiency.
Your raise a good point about the vault cool down. Hmm how about after a dash over a obstacle it gets Infected with the virus for 10 to 15 seconds to help build uroboros.
Basically it becomes a trade thing, do I keep looping and get infected quicker or do I run to the next loop and try to make distance?

She does have weaknesses but they are the kind of weaknesses most nurse players go out of their way to not deal with
Basekit nurse can struggle with big maps. Solution? Either range addons or map offerings that favour Nurse (Macmillan, Autohaven, Midwich). Or both.
Nurse is countered by breaking LOS/Stealth. Solution? Aura reading and tracking perks
Nurse can be countered by a good coordinated team. Solution? Bring 4 slowdown perks or a full snowball build with starstruck/agitation
HA everyone says breakbline of sight! But if you have nowhere with multiple walls then your screwed.
Nurse can be counter with good team coordination? Buddy have your forgotten rules don't apply to the nurse. A good nurse doesn't need crap to deal with teams. They die fast enough either way.
Bigaps can hurt her yes ill give you that but since the killer meta is massive gens defense that destroys survivors over. She kinda get a giant map pressure everything she downs someone.

In the open for sure, all you can really do is hug obstacles and hope she whiffs into it in situations like that
But it is at least possible. At least I think so I know some might not agree which is totally fine as we all have different experiences and ideas
All I've been getting tonight was sweaty nurse mains that kill everyone before the first gen popped.
In my second game tonight. I had a nurse use 1 perk, agitation and double blink speed recovery addons. That's it. We lost and not a single gen popped.
My point here being anybody can play nurse and be crap but those who play her too much just have a 1 sided slaughter fest and a jacked win rate.
We have mindgames and that's about it with nurse. No real big counter, no real big weakness. She's just a pure menace to play against and since that's all I've been getting Im just starting to go crazy with rage.

To be fair, it is possible to at least outplay that in its basekit form, like
I've been able to successfully juke the 2nd blink after that 50/50, it's possible
Unless they have range addons, the added speed just makes it basically impossible unless you make them panic blink and swing wildly which was a weird pattern I noticed some Nurse players using range addons did, not quite sure what that's about.
But is very difficult to do it against nurse still
-
@SuzuKR said:
Nurse's basekit is perfectly balanced though.
I do agree on reworking range and Torn Bookmark. Recharge is fine though.
Not balanced. op, being able to phase through anything breaks the litteral game. What's the use of pallets anymore or right no use anymore. "Well just mindgame" ah yes the fabled 50 50 sight block prediction of death. She can just double back with one Blick and still hit ya. ",JUST RUN WITHOUT A PLAN!" GREAT WAY TO DIE IN 10 SECONDS.
There's killers that have counters and fair kits but to ignore every rule this game has beside downing and having to pick up survivors she is straight busted without add ons and a murder train with addons.
-
@Brokenbones said:

Just mindgame the nurse bro
No I'm not going to explain what that means, no I'm not going to remember that most Nurse's run aura reading perks so mindgaming them is impossible anyway because they have wallhacks
Although to be fair, the best way to mindgame a nurse is to just not know what you're doing. If I don't know what I'm doing, then surely the Nurse can't right
Yeah it's not like the nurse can just do a 50 50 prediction then double back with the second blink and get a free hit
-
@SuzuKR said:
This literally defeats the entire point of the power. Her basekit is balanced, range and 3 blink addons aren’t. You avoid Nurse’s hits by mindgaming her.
Yes mindgame the nurse on the 80% large open maps and the few close indoor ones.
Broken killer that needs a nerf rocket
-
@SuzuKR said:
She doesn’t need a nerf. With the exception of range addons and Torn Bookmark, she’s perfectly fine.
What you are asking for already exists in the form of Blight lmao.
She doesn't need a nerf??? The massive killer buffs have made her a menace. Blink hits have less cool down now and that allows for faster blinks. Slap gen defense with her and it's a no win situation, Your screwed, Dead.

There's no valid replacement for Self Care in solo queue. Solo queue players are severely restricted in the number of perk slots they can use and ever other healing perk highly favors using a second perk slot. CoH almost doesn't work without Small Game or a map. Same for Inner Strength, plus with Inner Strength, you are handicapped by another player destroying totems. Finally, Pharmacy really needs Ace in the Hole. You can run them without, but there's been games where I can't find a totem to bless, or someone has already plundered a chest.
If there was another single slot healing perk to replace it, it wouldn't matter, but Self Care nerf hurts solo-queue by a lot.
No valid replacement, then whats COH?
-
@SuzuKR said:
These are absolutely ridiculous insane nerfs LMAO.
You are literally asking for a 5.5s fatigue (4.5 into swing for +1) into 8s charge for a 13.5s downtime LMFAO.
M1 isn't even an issue.
Because her m2 is an issue. Thanks to massive killer buffs and survivor nerfs she's even deadlier than before

Yeah this system needs to go. Literally just tried a match on a completely new account, no matches played yet - very first match was a god tier blight, and my teammates sucked.
MMR totally works, I see why new player retention would suck. If I'm just starting out the game for the first time, and I get sweatfest killers right off the start every single match, I'd quickly uninstall and refund.
I've been through every rework of sbmm but it has alsways missed on some level of balance.
There's just too many factors in the game that the system can't detect but in your case where you just made a Brand New account to restart fresh and you get a pro right away.
That's not even good programming.
any player starts a game new, the system should pair other players who are just as new or slightly better so they can slowly grasp the game and grow. But throwing them into the fire leaves some horrid impressions.

I've been playing straight ~12h a day (enjoying my vacation :) ) for the past few days or so, and most of it were with sadako. I'm loving her ptb changes but she's still underwhelming and the changes do little to nothing to help her level the play field.
These are suggestions that could be prototyped and changed in the future:
A - Changes we need.
B - Changes that are my deep rhoughts
A) Much needed changes:
- While demanifested she SHOULD NOT start a chase with any survivor, or continue the chase she's in. (these could imply in complications with the emblem system but could be worked around).
- While demanifested, give her a 10% haste speed. this should turn her into a 5.0 killer. This will allow her to close gaps faster while in chase and could use the extra speed to go towards generators that had their tv turned off. While manifesting, the change from 125% to 115% should be smooth, to prevent motion sickness. turning into a 115% completely when 100% manifested.
- She should not be penalized while manifesting, REMOVE the movement penalty please.
- Bloody Fingernails should be Basekit (more 50% time of speed burst after teleporting out of a TV). This will help to use it to patrol/chase.
B) Some more changes I would make personally, but we could live without:
- Allow her to be undetectable for 1s after manifesting, to help with mindgames.
- Reduce the sound she makes while demanifested. The lullaby should be it, she should not have a noise that allows people to know EXACTLY where you are comming from. (ex: Huntress) even if that means increased Lullaby radius.
This would turn her into a very balanced killer that will pair her strength with survivors. She will have a fair fight having more tools to handle her chases and gen patrol. She's AMAZING at map patrolling, but she's very very poor at chases. Translating to very long chases and enough time to finish all gens before we even have a chance to turn the game around.
@kaskader said:
Completely agree with the changes.
Sadako sadly feels like downgraded wraith which is also sad considering that wraith is a laughable killer after unreasonable nerf.
She needs a buff.
She will get buffed In either 3 yo 4 months or a year from now. But if I know these devs like I do, they will never add anything else to her kit and just play with her numbers and add on and call it buffs.
P.s. they will also nerf her best add-ons and make her crap ones meemy and call it good.

I agree that it's unfair. The system soft caps players at a certain point, meaning god tier players on both sides are rounded down for matchmaking purposes. Couple that with the fact that the system widens the match range in favor of queue times, and you end up with a mess.
For simplicity's sake, god tier Huntress is rounded down to 1900. Survivors A and B are good matches at 1800ish. But the game can't find any other survivors at that MMR, so it eventually takes a 1500 MMR player and a 1400 MMR player. It's a terrible match and a waste of everyone's time, but BHVR is adamant that players would rather be miserable in game than watching youtube in queue.
I would also like to point out that player moral has dropped a lot since sbmm and how the devs have stated this system will stay.
Players hate it and devs just don't care anymore.

@[Deleted User] said:
I couldn't be less satisfied with it on the solo survivor side. It's not matching me with teammates anywhere close to my skill level. It's every freaking game at this point. My teammates drop like flies and then I get in a chase that lasts for at least a minute as I wonder how in the world everyone was going down so fast. Even when they're not dropping left and right, they're throwing games by being wildly out of position. And it's not like I can "make a skilled play" to escape. I can't do 3 or 4 gens by myself in a 2v1 and then leave through the gate. This is unplayable.
So I will just use this as an example, I am a player of above average skill. I can hold my own fairly well but still need my team from time to time. Now how the hell does that skill level translate to going against coconutrts. A literal hatched throwing God.
Above average vs literal pro... gee that sounds FAIR.

This is just an extra comment for anyone who reads the post above I was using talk to text on my phone and we all know how reliable that can be sometimes.

To answer the first point you made here. The Designer in question was playing on his own stream, in his own time, not his work time and the person questioning him had been answered many times and was told to supply feedback on the forums. Badgering a designer on their own time, when they are not working is not acceptable and a pretty rude thing to do.
And the 2nd point there, that was also addressed in a post on Steam where Mathieu explained clearly about what he meant. He was not dismissing players concerns but making a valid point about when you get frustrated on something, it might also be time to take a break. (I got frustrated with Bloodborn and took a 4 month break before I was calm enough to play it again - Bloodborn is the game that makes me frustrated). It was not an attempt at being flippant.
We do listen to player feedback, however, listening and implementing things are two very different things. And game designers know more than we do with regards to what will work, what won't etc and which direction the game is going to take.
The LF masks have been something that's discussed for years, and the decision was taking to remove them to prevent them being used in a hateful manner. This is not about banning players who racially abuse others - as that is done also, it's about trying to remove the tools to make it easy for players to abuse others in this manner...I'm still surprised that people are opposed to this.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2739876#Comment_2739876
Yepp exactly, it had been in development for some time - it's not a quick thing to implement. It was tested heavily also before we were ready to announce it to the Community, we plan things months in advance and things can be worked on for quite some time before they appear in the game. So many departments are involved in each stage.
I'm just gonna nitpick 1 section, the reason we are opposed to the leatherback mask removal wasn't because of blackface primarily. Blackface can go, we don't need that. What we got pissy about was your guys choice to remove all the mask even though none of the other mask where being associated with racial hate.
You could of alt-f4 blackface and kept the others, problem solved but you guys chose the freaking nuclear option and got rid of it all.

Honestly, it might be incredibly smart
I've said this before with this process but I would wager that (at last) 75% of the Dead by Daylight playerbase has no idea all the hoops you have to do to "properly" report someone. So if all these people are flooding the report queue with reports on the super obvious hacker but not filling out the 30 minute paperwork, video evidence, blood of your first born, and showing BHVR that you can pat your head and rub your tummy for at least 30 seconds at the same time, that's taking BHVR resources away from going after the "properly" done reports.
It's kind of genius really. Or maybe I'm just giving them too much credit and they just know that BHVR has such a stupidly archaic report system that they can flaunt it as much as they want and they'll know it won't hurt them.
I'm positive most of the player base knows how to report players properly, but the process is just soooooooo loooooong to file a single report.

This always reminds me of those "discussions" where (usually) white people, try to argue that the N-Word is not Racist. Look, you might not think it is, but you also aren't the person who has centuries of painful history to be reminded of.
Do you argue with women whether or not randomly yelling "Hey Sexy!" (or many worse things) at them is sexual harassment? Do you argue with disabled people, using R*tard or a ton of other words isn't harmful, cause it might not have been the original intention of that word? Do you argue with non-white people, that they aren't allowed to see any kind of racial slurs are harmful, if there is any kind of chance, that the person using them didn't mean it? We can continue this with all kinds of marginalized folk, but I think you get the point.
Yes, a white person can have their opinions on racism discussions. We might also have useful things to add at times. But simply said: We are not the ones to decide if something is racist or not. Going "but not all black people think it's racist" has (with very rare exceptions) nothing to do with caring about those peoples opinions, but is about weaponizing their voices to support YOUR point.

no, it means you're not in a position to have a say in a decision that dictates whether something is racist or not because it's an issue that doesn't affect you or your demographic
Also to elaborate, yes I do get a say in decisions, we all do. This is a game and this is the fourms we're we all voice our opinions and make decisions. For you to try and exclude other because the matter affects blacks only and nobody else makes you hurt your point about racist than helping it.
Racist people will always exist but excluding people who aren't racist, people who want they're opinions and decisions, get told by somebody else that they need to be quiet because this issue doesn't relate to their skin color are being racist towards the non-racist.
At this point the blackface mask can be alt-f4
But don't deny people from weighing in on a subject.

You're talking about a black issue, as someone who presumably is not black. So no you don't have a say in the matter, yes I do have the privilege to do so because I am black. You don't have a say in black issues if you are not black. You can either you can show your support for progress handling them or be against it, period.
Wait wait wait, so you just want blind obedience from people about black issues but you don't want their thoughts or opinions because they are not black.
So because I'm not black means I don't get a opinion in this matter? I don't known, sounds like a dictator to me.

No, killer queue isn´t extremely long during the day in EU servers. I would know, because i play in the EU servers, during the day. The last week, the killer queue was never longer than 3 minutes. So again, i don´t know where you guys are sitting, that you get 20 minute queues. Is your cross play off?
Not sure, what you are trying to achieve with the rest of the phrase. Since i haven´t said anything about killers being weak. Maybe read again what i wrote.
I've found during the morning/afternoon there are more active killers than survivors but during the night there are more survivors than killers.
-
There will always be a racist person trying to hurt someone else, but I find it INCREDIBLY stupid, just ban the toxic racist from the game and keep the mask in. BEFORE anybody gets butthurt about it, i do not support any racist actions but for a company to just snap like a twig and make the rash decision to remove content from the game like it will fix anything.
Getting rid of masks are only a temporary solution, you'll still have killers that will target survivors of color and the harassment will still continue.
The best course of action is to just outright perma ban any hate/racist towards players.
-
Back when the game came out and we had 3/4 killers, the hooks actually looked differently depending on the killer that was selected. It was taken out because in gave survivors the ability to instantly identify the killer

I guess I should clarify how I see ranged attacks so you can see where I'm coming from.
All special abilities that can attack a survivor outside a killers m1 lunge range. That's how I see it as. I mean no disrespect towards you.
