Is there any sort of advantage when playing with Crossplay off?
In my opinion? Yes. No crossplay means no PC users. Mouse & keyboard controls are far superior. As a console user, I prefer playing against other players with the same handicaps; however, it always takes much longer for games in my experience.

PS4 Killer main..
Lobbies are painfully slow, especially with crossplay off.

His power just feels so pointless. If you hit them with the chain they break out so fast you can’t even catch up. It really feels useless
You aren't using chains effectively then.
The idea is to use the chains at jey moments during a chase, pallet loop, or window loop. Aimlessly chaining, especially in an area that has environmental obstacles that break chains, is pointless. Get better at judging the timing.
Best of luck.

I’m sorry but ######### pinhead he is the worst experience I’ve ever had in dbd I can’t figure him out I’ve caused more stress for myself than fun I can’t take it anymore I can’t play pinhead he’s ######### trash on console. I need help I need tips I’m ######### done.
He’s one of the worst ######### killers I’ve ever played in my life. I know trapper and legion are worse but I have more fun with them then pinhead I ######### hate him now with a burning passion. I can’t do it anymore please tell me what I’m doing wrong? I almost ######### bashed my controller through my ######### TV cause of pinhead
I do well with Pinhead with the right perks, addons, and map. If one of those is off, I may not do as well.
As for perks, unless I have Franklin's Demise and Hoarder I will not play Pinhead. His greatest strength for me is being able to keep pressure on survivors using chain hunt and the cube. Those two perks greatly help with that.
The other two perks are optional, but I always try to get BBQ. Helps with tracking, especially when you know they are searching for the cube. Often I'll see a survivor's aura with BBQ and the way and direction they run make it mostly obvious if they are heading towards the cube. I then prioritize them. Plus BPs, never enough BPs.
Last perk is totally up to you. I'm currently using Corrupt Intervention, but I'm not keen on it. Thinking about changing it to something that lasts more than two minutes.
As for Add-ons, my personal favourite is the Iridescent Lament Configuration (when chain hunt is inactive, survivors beyond 16m of the Lament Configuration cannot see its aura). That combined with Larry's Remains (Considerably increases the time it takes for survivors to solve the Lament Configuration) works wonders.
Engineer's Fang, Greasy Black Lens, Impaling Wire, Frank's Heart, and Torture Pillar are all good too. I do not like and I avoid any add-ons that mess with possessed chain speed, or turning. The reason is I try to avoid any turning when using possessed chain.
As for gameplay advice... Know when to use possessed chain. Don't bother using it if you absolutely can't make the shot. Tey to spawn the chain right on the survivor so you can immediately shoot and hit them without turning. Using possessed chain is jey to stopping a survivor from solving the cube as well. Keep practicing and remember to keep pressure on the cube bearer, but if they are too far away, and you're in a good chase, ignore the cube bearer and carry on your chase.
I do very well with this setup. Majority of my games are 4k merciless. I absolutely love Pinhead. Hope they don't nerf him.

I don't have Grind problem. It was problem when i had no perks. I don't know how about those people who want all character lvl 50 prestige lvl 3, but i highly recommend not to do it. Choose your MAIN survivor and MAIN killer and invest in it. Everything else is waste of BP.
All my survivors are P3 lvl 50 and most killers are p3 50.
Once they are all P3 50 new characters coming out won't bd much of a grind. Plus, the reason I started p3ng everybody was just because I'm a completionist.
Taken over 3 years playing the game off and on.

Pinhead has come to dead to by daylight. He is available in the hellraiser chapter DLC. I do not see the issue
The voice over, but you already knew that. YAAFRAIHYNAGKAYMADGRBBND.

Man they're not even out yet... We have no idea what these boons are going to do.
In defense of OP...
I can understand a concern for survivor related content. The game arguably favours survivors, and new content more often than not, ######### the game up.
I'm concerned too.

I was so ready for it too...
I wanted pinhead...
To come...

Long story short, taking a bet. I've got 3 days worth of attempts, and I'd like 5 challenges.
I hope to do killer at a later date:D
What are 5 hard survivor challenges you can think of that would require situatiomal awareness, understanding of the games core mechanics and other general challenges that require skill to complete. Hit me with your best shot
Any Engineer's Guild challenge... Due to it being glitched and impossible to complete.
-
I've been using BBQ, Hoarder, Franklin's Demise, and Corrupt Intervention.
I like how Hoarder and Franklin's works together. When I hit the cube holder, I pick up the cube, and carry on the chase. I almost never lose the chase. Plus, picking up the cube shows you all the survivors and they get chained, so the original cube holder doesn't really get much of an escape window.
I do want to change Corrupt Intervention fir something better, just not sure what yet.

First time using the forums in a while, but I wanted to bring attention to the devs a new way of playing Pinhead that was used against me and my friends. Keep in mind that while we aren't diehard survivor mains, we all probably come out to around 500 hours on survivor each, so we're not shabby.
The idea of the build is for Pinhead to run Hoarder and Franklin's Demise, along with addons that make the Lament Configuration take longer to solve. He plays the game like normal until he finds the survivor with the box using hoarder, then interrupts them from solving it using his addons and possessed chains. He will NOT teleport to it, which would cause the box to disappear. After interrupting the survivor, he hits them with franklin's, making them drop the box and allowing him to pick it up. He forcibly starts a chain hunt, then downs the survivor. The newly-started chain hunt FORCES the other players into picking up the box. Pinhead then goes to that survivor and begins the process anew. For good measure, he can also bring ruin and undying.
The problem with this build is that once pinhead gets a chain hunt going, survivors can no longer solve the box. Once they pick it up, chains will interrupt the solving process, giving Pinhead plenty of time to come over. Then he can just force survivors into multiple chain hunts over and over, until the game ends. I normally wouldn't post about a build that bothered me, but this felt like a special case. Usually when I lose to a gimmicky build as survivor, I understand that it was our fault for misplaying the situation. However, this build felt OPPRESSIVELY good; like, to the point where there was genuinely nothing we could do.
We couldn't do gens, we couldn't do totems, we couldn't heal. The chain hunts only ended when another survivor picked up the box, which would only last about 20 seconds before Pinhead was on top of them ready to start another hunt. I don't know how the devs could tweak this, but this build is something that should potentially be looked at. Maybe we just didn't have the right tools, or maybe it was a bad map for us (it wasn't, it was Crotus Prenn Asylum, which would've made him walk FAR to stop the box), but it was the first time a game of DBD has felt genuinely unwinnable. And mind you I have over 1200 hours so I've seen my fair share of bad situations.
Cry harder. I'm so sick of survivors constantly getting their way. The build is fine, I've had good and bad games using this build. It isn't as easy as you thinkvto grt to the box before it is solved.
Sidenote: Chains stops briefly to allow the cube holder to successfully solve it. Duh.

I hated twins so much I avoided leveling them for the perks clogging my bloodwebs.
Ever since Pinhead though, I leveled the twins, got hoarder on pinhead and generally do well.
Last night I had a chainhunt for nearly half the match. No gens were finished. Over 110k bps from that 1 game. Hoarder is my favourite perk now, it is glorious!

I guess nobody has information regarding this issue.

bump.

I'd just rather keys and moris be removed all together.
They both suck.

Is it
is it worse to be an offering than an item?
If I can't add an XP boost?
Absolutely.
Why can a survivor take a key and a cake, but a killer can't take a mori and pudding?
-
@Grandpa_Crack_Pipe said:
They used to be comparable levels of powerful.
Now, Moris are drastically overshadowed-- but not useless. I think you underestimate how nice it is to not have to worry about flashlights, pallet stuns, DS, Unbreakable, hook sabotages, or anything like that and just be able to get rid of the problem right then and there.
Hopefully they dunk on keys the same way they dunked on Moris soon.
Killer sacrifices an offering for a mori
Survivor sacrifices an item.
I'd rather have survivor pudding over a mori to avoid DS, or a flashlight.
-
How about no more killers or survivors.
How about they fix the current game?
-
Just attempted Tome VII - Level 4 - The Engineer's Guild.
Same as level 3, just 10 gens instead of 6.
Still does not register.

I sign in to check out the new matchmaking, and lo and behold nearly all of my PlayStation DLC is missing. Great job BHVR. Bugs just fill chapter after chapter, and it seems like you don't give a damn so long as we line your pockets. And if I can't get my DLC back, then you will have literally stolen money from me.
I own all killers except Pinhead, and the only survivors I don't own is Ash and Yun-Jin Lee. To say that I'm beyond livid is an understatement.
I only lost my Oni 😑

Honestly, by way of updates, this one isn't bad. Unless there is some major issue I'm unaware of, this release is pretty tame by way of bugs.
This update relocked oni for me and bugged my tome...

@wxnickxw said:
Tried it got merciless no achievement. Didn't try with no add ons. Not sure if that makes a difference or if it's a bug anyone know?
Cause I'm not sure if it should be a bug to be reported or if you just have to bring no add ons and no offerings
You must use all three of his unique perks. Just his 3, not a 4th.
Add ons and offerings are allowed.

i have reached the last page on that tome and there's a challenge named "the engineer's guild" which is the same name as a challenge in the previous page, i did exactly what it told me to do (repair gens with people) and it gave me no challenge progress! any idea what must be actually done to complete that challenge?
It's a bug. I'm on thr same tome, same challenge, but level 3. 6 gens instead of 10. It records no progress. It must be yet another bug... Shocker....

This game and the constant bugs just pisses me off.
I'm saying it... Behaviour is officially worse than Bethesda...

I am guessing if you bought him with shards you would have to go through the devs support system.
That's what a mod suggested in my thread.
I remember filing a report years ago only to be ignored, so I figure that's a dead end route.
I even called their office in Quebec and asked for help. The secretary hung up on me after being rather rude with me.
-
I lost my Oni. Paid for it with Iridescent shards, so I have no idea how to get him back.

you set the ps4 to home right? in system settings on the account? try restoring the database see what happens outside of that honestly idk .... think their has been some issue people losing there dlc that they need to fix
I saw that too, on the news pop up.
That post along with Pinhead not unlocking after I bought him, caused me to investigate.
I guess Pinhead is locked on my UK app due to a region lock, but that doesn't explain the missing Oni.
It's such an uncommon issue, so finding info on the web has been difficult. I'll try restoring the database if all else fails, but I doubt it'll work.
🤞

ps4 isnt region free sadly anticonsumer i know so yep you lost oni unless you had dbd on the uk account and bought him again :/ so due to region restrictions it will only work on the canadian account. locked on your canadian account weird try rebuild the database not long back a game of mine wouldnt show up that i owned it rebuilding the database fixed it
I had thought about that, but I never bought Oni on the PS store. I don't like buying cosmetics, so I spend iridescent shards on unlicensed DLC. I already have the shards, so sense spending real money. It doesn't show up as bought DLC, because I bought it on the ingame store for iridescent shards.
However, many hours were invested to unlock Oni and all other unlicensed characters. To lose them feels terrible.
