  • I feel like the twins are still at the bottom of A tier and that Plague is before Wraith. I would also put Deathslinger between Hag & Freddy.

  • It does notify the survivor that they're exposed yes. It can still work to pressure people off a gen and maybe get a down if you carry someone and hook near a gen that is being worked on.

  • What is "being an idiot" is coming here just to say that.

Some people don't care about skins and want to support BHVR by not buying DLCs with them.

What can you do with shards then? Get bloodpoints for perks on your characters. It's not stupid, it's a currency spending choice.

  • I'm gonna upvote this just because of the dining sets joke. It's gold.

  • I feel like playing on console just makes it harder and take longer to master.

It's not unusable, but it's definitely a frustrating learning experience. You just have to grind a lot.

  • It's actually not any more rare than any other perk. There's just a lot of 'em.

BBQ is after all the only real decent perk that allows you to maximize your BP gains. Perks like Distressing and Beast of Prey (lol) only allow you to get to the maximum 8k faster. By that same logic, WGLF is also a rare perk in the shrine but survivors gain stacks and BP much less than killers so people mostly want BBQ.

You could also argue that WGLF is a free perk while BBQ is DLC but yeah.

  • If decisive strike allowed a survivor to pick themselves up like unbreakable while active it would be insanely busted.

Everybody and their mother would equip DS because why would they not? You can't pick 'em up, you can't slug 'em.

That is literally the most powerful combo: DS + unbreakable yet you want it on a single perk slot? Both these perks by themselves are not broken, the combination is. There isn't a single perk or game mechanic that could prevent a killer from tunneling if they want to. Unless they change the whole game and how things work, it's gonna keep being a thing.

You say killers don't need to use perks to tunnel and slug survivors but they actually do. If you tunnel vision on a single survivor, you better be prepared to face the consequences regarding the freedom the others have while you're busy. Hence, killer perks that could help with that.

  • The penalty for true gen rushing is that some of your teammates straight up die on hook.

Survivors just doing gens is by all means perfectly fine (yet very fast). Survivors not unhooking to complete gens, now that's gen rush.

  • I fail to see the issue here. It is a game after all.

I think this paired with infectious, mad grit, and BBQ will be one of the best combos

I would use infectious, BBQ, starstruck and iron maiden.

There is no hiding anywhere and someone WILL be either chased real quick or straight up downed from it.

Unless someone uses calm spirit. Then slap me on the wrist and call me Nancy I guess.

  • It has been proven times and times again through maths that self care even by itself DOES NOT waste time.

16s of 2 people healing is 32 virtual seconds on generator repairs + the danger of being grouped up.

32s of self healing is 32 seconds of generator repairs also but everyone else is free to act.

What wastes time is people being mad at other people for using self care & standing next to a healing survivor literally doing nothing, begging for the chance to heal their teammate. Why are you waiting my dude, get on with your life, get on a generator or go for a save.

The only time where you gain actual time from being healed by someone is if somehow the killer knows where everyone is and is coming OR the healer has a healing build (We'll make it, botany, desperate measures or autodidact for example)

Self care is only ever a waste of time if you keep using it after every hit or if you go in the corner of the map to do it. Just like some people getting unhooked then running to a corner before letting someone touch them. Ridiculous.

How is it better than what the devs are doing currently? Because this is what the devs are doing right now.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/DO1FV39PFWHG/igdtecm-0.jpeg

    Game. Set. Match.

This makes no sense, a lot of people like this new chapter.

I don't see where this is a decent conversation for anyone involved.

My point stands: this alien video is all fun & games until someone specifies it's better than what bhvr does when it's literally 99% their making.

Thats another thing. The devs say 'apply pressure', but thats basically saying be everywhere at once, which can't be done

Applying pressure just means downing survivors and keeping them injured & downed.

If someone is on a hook & you catch someone going for the save (running into them or them not being careful at all, I don't encourage camping) then the other survivors have to leave generators because their teammates are dying. Then ruins will do its job for you.

If they do stay on gens and leave them to die, that is precisely what is actual ''gen rushing'' (not saving your team to complete generators)

Applying pressure on survivors is done just by having quick chases & downs after downs. Not by going around patrolling gens.

When some random dude on the internet gives you better content than the devs.

How is this any better than what the devs are doing?

Whatever of a nice project this might be, it's really unpolished and looks janky.

It's really just the demogorgon's skeleton with a new model on top. Blight's rush animation with more turning rate and a silly hop through vaults that looks ridiculous even in first person. Sure the alien's model is really nice, I'll give you that. That's literally it though, everything in that video except the model has been made by BHVR and has been reused by this person to make it seem like something new.

  • These are actually very good ideas

Finally the game is balanced /s

jokes aside I think you’re being hacked. I was hacked by survivor at that map with same killer. Can’t unbind victor, permanent blind, etc...

I don't think that was a hack. It seems like it's the speed Charlotte is able to move at when waking from her idle state. Maybe the player got stuck with that speed permanently.

The Twins were after all (and might still be) very buggy.

  • Thanks for your answers

Except the dark secrets up there 👀

  • This is the mechanic that stresses me out the most and I think it gives free mindgames to the Spirit player.

I think it's neat & all though and I would not want it gone or changed. The most problematic part of Spirit is her phasing not having cues.

Gotta remember that this passive phasing, while interesting, uses two addons and Spirit has some that are much better options than these.

They don't even need to land on their feet, just leave the shoulder.

Maybe it's time to profit & play killer with Mad Grit, Agitation and Iron Grasp then.

Especially with Agitation in the shrine now xD

  • As some people said on here already, prove thyself is probably ran a lot because there's a recent rift challenge asking you to complete 12 generators. At first I thought it was as a team but when we got 5 gens done and I could only work on one, I was disappointed lol.

  • The Hag is the most scary killer for me. She's also really strong & I don't think I could survive against her.

Plus she would just eat me alive once I'm downed and I'd prefer just getting quickly killed instead thanks.

  • It says it stacks because if someone else uses Bloody Party Streamers for example then you'll get 200%

It also specifies ''Personal'' and that is why multiple cakes don't do anything.

  • Unbreakable..

Imo the actual amount of times survivors get to use this ''top tier perk'' is very low and it's not that good to run it all the time.

Don't get me wrong, if the killer slugs it can be of use once. But that's it right? Get slugged & use it once. I know you get the recovery speed still but then it doesn't change much if that's all that's left of it. Unless it's a tenacity & power struggle build, I just don't see it.

  • I got it with a pallet save.

As long as the survivor drops back on their feet, it counts.

So pallets, flashlights, head-on might count and of course wiggle... probably even a decisive strike used when you're close as well.

  • I don't get the point of these posts. There is enough negativity going around as is. Why not make a most successful thread instead?

The only thing this achieves is adding another little weight on the minds of devs who might read this or even mods that roam around.

  • It's random but once a perk has appeared it's gonna keep appearing in future bloodwebs until you buy it.

I make it a point to max out the perks I hate as quick as possible to get rid of them

  • @Baby_Victor said:

They are trying to get you to do different things on daily. You think I always play Plague? Nope, but my daily said I should and so had a lot of fun and played her a few more games.

Granted, survivors are all cookie cut clones, but maybe the experience might show that you don’t always have to play P3 Claudette to have a good game <_<

The point is more that getting to survive the whole game is already hard enough without the need to get to a gate and actually fully open it.

Quite often you'll either be in a chase, on a hook, just behind someone else or the killer will interrupt you at the gate and someone else will open it.

It's not like you can use the perk Wake Up!, that's a joke perk really.

  • Considering No Mither is a trash perk against any other killer other than maybe the plague, I wouldn't use it just for the 0.1% chance it's the twins..

  • I've never tried that start but it looks really efficient especially if you slap sloppy butcher and even nurse's calling in there. Legit hit & run strat.

As for the survivor side it's definitely efficient. It makes it harder to loop if a killer is undetectable because they don't even need to mindgame by moonwalking etc and can take routes you wouldn't know about in a couple maps.

I would say tho that around the mid and late game the survivors will know what kind of plays you're going for and will try to listen more for Charlotte's footsteps & breathing. Since she's got that metal clanking on her back she's also easier to spot.

It won't work multiple times off generators but like I said if you slap nurse's or other detection perks and go the long way around, you can surprise people most the time.

Lmaooo literally. I was playing with a friend earlier and I found a hex totem during chase but I could not for the life of me figure out how to give her the right directions. That totem didn't get cleansed for the rest of the match.

I think a lot of people over hype how strong comms usually is (not its max potential because that's god tier but 90% of players can't give directions for #########)

"I'm being chased around hum.. walls? There's walls definitely. Also trees. I see a rock, yeah a couple rocks. No I don't think that's your gen- OH MY GOD I'M SO SORRY RUN"

  • You can always turn off post game chat and get on with your life. Object is also tempting me and I only play solo queue most the time.

I wouldn't even be able to relay info correctly.. like I don't know what building is near that side!!

"The killer is heeeeeh.... far from me?"

  • If you're solo queuing you'll never know how many totems were broken by your teammates.

Maybe you broke 4 and figured you know what, surely someone else broke this last one that I can't find.

    Nope.

Maybe you didn't want to specifically search for them & broke one or two because you saw this Nancy had a map and figured hell she's surely using inner strenght and is gonna break a few.

    Nope.

Cherry on top: you won't know the killer has noed until it's too late for someone.

Even if you had friends to play with, unless you're a full group of 4 and keep track of it, you might be surprised by the last standing totem nobody found or forgot about because James here said he broke 3 when in fact it was 2 and James has had one two many drinks before booting up the game.

If anything we should blame James.

I understand what you’re saying, maybe with his knives he has the ability to risk chucking them at u then risking a whiff if a survivor 360’s or jukes you know what I mean? At first glance to me it just seems like he has a build that would somewhat punish toxic SWF groups if u get what I mean

If you mean survivors grouping up and trying to bodyblock or mess around, no it won't really shut it down.

He's 4.4 and has to land 8 blades for a single health state. They might be fast but that's a long time for a single health state. If SWFs that are efficient go against this killer, they won't group up and simply trafe from left to right.

They'll go to the nearest jungle gym or simple wall and shut down the trickster entirely. Since the blades don't stay in a survivor for a long time he can't even pressure someone coming for a slug without commiting and leaving said slug anyway.

  • His overall potential is extremely lackluster. He doesn't actually accomplish anything remotely as good as huntress or even deathslinger.

I don't ever see how oppressive he could be except at low height loops which huntress already excels at.

  • I'm just trying to figure out his presumed bug. It doesn't.

I have all the perks on kate, so I was using for the people, unbreakable, WGLF and botany knowledge. with a yellow medkit with a speed addon, meaning with the kit, I could get someone up in like 5 seconds.

the medkt, WGLF and botany knowledge just didn't end up mattering fpr the challenge... XD

That might be why you never got it if you never actually equipped Empathy x'D!!

I'm not saying don't do anything, you speak as if the only thing I would have said is go around the map.

tunneling isn't fun but it's also a strategy

it's very simple what I'm trying to say. The same goes for both sides. got the message?

I didn't ''get the message'' because your message is not shared properly.

Don't act all high up there.

  • It doesn't change anything for anyone except the person DCing. Survivors have already lost their teammate, you got the kill..

They lose their bloodpoints & get a short queuing ban.

  • The absolute rule would be to give back some teabags when a fellow survivor teabags you to say hi or thank you.

    Absolute.

  • For reference vast vaulting would be the survivor jumping above the window with one arm.

Medium vaulting can be quick with a vault build but it has the survivor climbing with their knees bent.

The prerequisites for a fast vault are quite precise so I'm pretty sure such a bug would be reported a lot..

Oh, ok. Do they come with Salty Survivors and a Sniper Huntress?

Yes! Sometimes a Salty Huntress and Sniped Survivors too.

  • I have never seen that bug. Is it on the PTB or live version? Which map? Did it only happen while playing Oni?

  • If they were spamming it then they probably were medium vaulting. Maybe they had a vault build? It does a lot more difference than one might think. Also it's already punished; 1: It's predictable as hell. 2: The vault is blocked for a long time after 3 uses.

That would only have them avoid a hit on very safe windows and even then, it's not abusing the window & more like wasting it.

  • @Terro said:

Nah they just want survivors to take detours on their tasks, like killers should take detours too.

Yes why should killers go straight to generators they know are being worked on?

They should take their time, look at the sky & pray to the entity for... lore purposes.

  • @edgardot02 said:

I can't start chasing someone without knowing that the other survivors are making the generators farthest from me.

why survivors don't cleanse totems, why you don't go around the map to get to know it better, so you allow the killer to have fun too?

I have to hook 3 times each survivor and you don't want me to tunnel you? why do you have perks that give you second chances? do you think it's fun for the killer?

why SWF legal cheat with outside communication?

    Boring boring boring.

Why can't I work on gens without having a psycho killer running around killing my allies?

''Players should run around and wander with no purpose while I'M doing my objective so I have more chance to win.''

This cat & mouse game is boring! Survivors should stand still so I can feel more powerful.

I understand this post is laughing at the camping & tunneling post but these are legit strats (that are for sure unfun) while your own post is just saying you want people to do nothing. It has no value and quite frankly this is spam to me.

I actually found him kind of fun. I was really surprised. One survivor I know for a fact was decent because I went against them yesterday on the live servers, one was a potato. Not sure about the others. It would have been nice to test him further but these guys wanted a 3 minute gen rush and the endgame camp felt like it lasted longer than the main game. Handful of hooks all game, 3 kills at the end because they all wanted to play hero. BHVR will no doubt look at stats like that assume he's overperforming and give him a nerf after the ptb.

He felt kind of relaxing. There's no real pressure to aim a perfect shot like there is with Huntress or Deathslinger and I think that's the intention behind this guy, he's the less powerful but easier to play ranged killer. It's not too hard to get hits at some loops which is actually an advantage he has other huntress and slinger.

Considering a lot of people seem to agree on Trickster being super weak, I really doubt they would look at PTB stats (with no matchmaking, they know that) to nerf a killer. New chapters' weak killers receive buffs otherwise they would never sell. I know it took a while for the Wraith and they still should take a look at the Trapper but that's because they're free imo.

It would sell a lot more if not every streamer was saying that he's very weak and 1/10 power wise.

Overall it seems players agree he's very fun & designed well but he's still the weakest of killers right now.

  • Oppression would be better with Pop. It actually regresses gens across the map regardless of distance & can tell you specific gens that are worked on when the skillcheck is missed. Surge won't actually allow you to use Pop unless a survivor taps the gen or was working on it when Surge activated so you're depending on survivor plays to get value out of it.

I would def say Oppression over Surge. Surge works best with other regressing perks like Ruins imo

Lithe does nothing out in the open

Sb gains you distance but it can't be controlled and that distance could be meaningless

Nothing saves you from being hit in the middle of nowhere so why is this even a point to argue?

we are talking about good survivors here.

Lithe is a lot easier to use than balanced landing for example. It can be used at very unsafe pallets if you get a stun or just take a hit. This is what I meant by the middle of nowhere. Now in the absolute middle of nowhere deadhard doesn't help either. Sprint burst can be controlled by 99-ing your exhaustion and this is exactly what I specified in my post.

Being a good survivor doesn't mean dead hard is gonna work for you. It won't do more than a lithe would from loop to loop. Unless it's used to gain access to a god pallet, the killler can still get a hit by looping around after & the deadhard user is inevitably injured already.
