  • I play on PS4 and when a Freddy hits me, time itself will stop moving @_@

Same thing with sloppy butcher and similar things. Even ruin causes issues when the gen starts regressing. It's pretty terrible, especially when it happens to skillchecks and then you're supposed to time the powerpoint presentation right or else you get penalized.

  • I tried playing a few games of nurse on PS4 and to be honest it's been a blast even though it's hard.

I've had 4ks against green ranks and low purples (with the 1 or 2 red ranks) (I'm rank 11 myself) and I've been destroyed by red ranks.

I don't have shadowborn yet so I hope it pops up soon enough, I bought it in the shrine for nurse especially. Can't wait to get better at it! I would say it's entirely worth it to invest some time in her, but that's the thing, you HAVE to invest some time and if you give up, it'll be for nothing.

    Good luck!

N.B. You'll always have hopeless games that you would've lost even with another killer. The only full red ranks lobby I've got was against a SWF with a strode offering, OoO and some gen rushing items and perks (build to last.. wonder why lmao) so of course with my experience I didn't stand a chance, but the same would've happened with other killers so I didn't feel bad about my nurse plays.

  • That's unfortunate, thanks for the info though!

  • Using multiple objects in a SWF is bad sure enough, but I don't get that healing part. Does it really matter? I guess they played with resilience and healed when they knew you were coming towards them but even then.. the healing isn't faster and doing that meant they left blood on the ground. (I'm gonna assume they all had iron will)

You have an oni icon so I'll also assume they left a lot more blood orbs for you by not finishing the heals, but that's a stretch. It's just an icon.

Other than that yeah, it sucks and is very unfun to go against..

  • We don't know what's gonna be added. This is not about the little hook extra icons and probably something much bigger.

I know it spreads informations, but it's not the end of the world once you're used to it. Do you need to see your power icon all the time? No, every killer power as a sound playing when it's available I believe. Every information you need is at the top of the screen.

The little info you'd need to gather around your power icon would be hatchets for huntress, for example. Even then it's not a big deal imo

  • Everyone is hating on this UI but they said they changed it for features they plan on adding into the game later on.

There's a reason it's been changed and it's all a matter of getting used to the new one.

Not sure if it's just me, but I feel like Mettle of Man shouldn't have the penalty that reveals your aura afterwards — it's just unnecessary.

Perhaps Mettle of Man can be reworked into something that promotes healthy gameplay? It just doesn't seem like something you'd want to use because the requirement is very demanding.

It would be nice if the perk was reworked to discourage tunneling / camping, like DS but done better.

Would be nice if the aura reveal worked like OoO at least so that you know when the killer can see you. (heartbeat)

NOT saying you should also see the killer, I mean standing outside the terror radius reveals your aura after MoM procs.

  • I never tried that perk before. But I thought about trying it out; it just seems hard to trigger without a very high risk of dying even before it does. I'm not the best at looping but I figured it could be something like MoM, Iron Will, Self Care, Resilience and bringing a big medkit (to use the selfcare bonus & get back in the game much quicker).

99 the heal and maximise resilience procs on gens while being able to finish it off to take a protection hit or just not get into the dying state

I'd have to get much better at looping for this to work though.. I'm pretty bad.

  • Well if I patrol the whole map and nothing gets worked on ever, I'm gonna start checking corners, bushes and lockers.

If they didn't have crows it means they were interacting with objects. That mainly leaves only lockers so at one point you're bound to go down there once and it means both the survivors are gonna die. (Assuming they can't escape well if they play like that)

It's a dick move to try and hide like that, but then it could've been countered by whispers for example.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like it and I don't approve but is it deemed a bannable offense? Unsure.

  • I thought I was going crazy. Pretty often I'll corrupt purge at a survivor and then they scream in pain... and walk it off.

They can already be injured and everything and it still won't down them. (Not to be confused with borrowed time)

It's a real shame because I like this killer very much.

That is a good points haha I guess it is really only looking at while being hooked then. I dont think it is something they will ever change. It was more just something that I noticed.

True I completely forgot about being hooked haha. That's a valid point then; also I didn't know the timer stopped for other perks.

  • I don't see how that's holding the game hostage... it's actually just throwing I believe.

  • I guess it's not gonna happen because you technically are still using the haste effect right?

I mean... crawling 7% faster is laughable but it's happening... wow you're going places bud, zooming around.

  • I always wanna punch Leatherface. There is NEVER a time where this killer doesn't piss me off.

Coming at you all HAEUUHUEUEUEHHUHUHHHHHHHHHHHAAAH- and then one-hit downing your soul.

I can't stand this killer and damn I want him to suffer. He's sooo so so so annoyingly annoying.

I only like his name because it's fun to say ''Bubba''. Remove his name and I'll punch him.

  • I think it could be worse. I don't play killer often for now but when it happens, I tell myself well they could have gotten a lot more distance but they chose to stay so they could blind me. The main reason to blind a killer is so they drop a survivor anyway so... use all that battery on my animation-locked bum my dude, couldn't care less.

  • I personally have my crossplay feature checked and grayed out so I cannot opt out of it, literally cannot do it.

It kind of sucks to have an option for crossplay even appearing on my screen when I can't decide what I want.

And before someone asks me, yes I tried looking at the options in a party and by myself. It's got nothing to do with others.

People sometimes forget that a lot of what makes many Killers strong is exploiting mechanics in a way that probably wasn't part of the Devs original design concept.

Hag/Twins- Using your power to essentially face camp while multitasking the other Survivors.

Spirit- Standing still for free hits because Survivors can't tell when you're using your power.

Pyramid Head- Using your power to tunnel through Decisive. Using power to hit both Survivors on unhooks.

Demo/Pig- Exploiting the "basic attack" mechanic to have permanent 8 stacks on STBL.

Huntress- Hitting Survivors with close range hatchets because the cooldown is less than a standard M1.

Wraith- Using your hitbox mechanics in cloak to push Survivors into corners or out of pallet dropping range.

Ghost Face- Using the broken stealth reveal mechanics to expose Survivors that are looking directly at you.

Any others you can think of? It's funny that all these exploits of Killers were probably complete oversights by the Devs originally and they slowly just became "features" that were part of their overall balance. Remove most of these things and a lot of these Killers would become trash tier.

I don't think any of these things are exploits and it's just how killers can utilize their powers to the maximum.

Hag/Twins- Their power is basically being at two places at once. This is why there's at least a minimal distance from hooks at which you can release Victor and why it takes longer to return to Charlotte from her dormant state.

Spirit- Standing still is just mind gaming. The survivor can still decide to start walking to the side and keep/increase the distance between them and the killer if she wasn't actually phasing. It's not really more of a free hit than actually using their power. This is like faking to break pallets.

Pyramid Head- His power is all about avoiding to pick up a survivor. Of course it would counter a perk that is about being picked up. Hitting two survivors in one ability usage is just as fine. You can bait the punishment, stop the unhooking, avoid the hit and then unhook while PH has his cooldown between uses. Leatherface can also down multiple people in one ability use, it's similar.

Demo/Pig- I think the way they can avoid to lose tokens is fair. The cooldown of missed abilities (for these two) is much more punishing than basic attack misses. If they choose to risk ONLY using their abilities on the obsession rather than just hit them, it's up to them.

Huntress- Hitting Survivors with close range hatchets is actually hard to do without experience because of the FOV. It's beneficial, sure. But much more easily said than done, believe me.

Wraith- Bodyblocking is a thing with every killer (windows, pallets etc.) it just so happens the wraith is harder to see (not really invisible) while trying to do that. Up to the survivor to take a better look around them... it's basically the lowest killer on everyone's tier list.

Ghost Face- Now yes, this killer's ability is bugged. No doubt about it. Is it really unfair? If the survivor spots ghostface first, they shouldn't get exposed and have a chance to reveal him anyway. In a chase, well, I believe he's slowed when using it so whatever. It's like Myers.

I don't believe anything here is a stretch imo. These aren't ''exploits'' as much as mechanics in the game a player can use to their advantage whenever possible. Mind gaming and outplaying your opponent is a part of PvP games.

You have 9 posts, that doesn't surprise me.

No it's to show playing PC doesn't make you better than console survivors. It's also to show crossplay is great and shouldn't be ignored because "console bad"

I just created this account recently. I come here often & I'm also on reddit quite a lot.

But then it's mostly about memes on reddit, I'll give you that.

  • I haven't seen many complaints about platforms/console players.

The only thing is certain killers are harder to master on console (aim-wise) and it's harder to '360' on console.

I feel like this post is more about stiring the pot if anything.

  • I've had a game where I was running Iron Will II on Bill, so of course the entire map still heard me coughing.

Then I got into a locker, became dead silent and when I came out I stayed hyper silent until I got chased for some reason.

Maybe there's a bug with locker muffling right now? Unsure

the thing with that is that its not their fault. Sony probably will never agree to do that. I agree with you 100%, however, the more reasonable solution would be to just enable MnK on consoles. Its already native and coded onto consoles, its up to the developer to allow it in their game. Behavior is quite simply CHOOSING not to do it for whatever reason.

They've said they're not enabling the use of MnK on console because it actually requires a U.I. overhaul.

I believe they might eventually work on that but have said this is not a pressing issue as it requires a lot of work to begin with.

  • I think that's purely an overlook/a bug.

I get the ends justify the means, but as killer in high ranks you feel FORCED to run specific perks in order to counter the ONLY survivor objective.

It's daunting, having countless perks that become useless because they don't influence the main objective.

Gotta run ruin/undying/corrupt just to keep this from happening on killer side.

Gotta play in swf, otherwise a solo survivor is vs 1 killer and 3 other survivors that like to run around the map aimless.

This game is "balanced" around swf. Solo survivors are at a massive disadvantage and killers are required to use the same perks every game.

    It's frustrating, daunting, not fun.

So... Don't try. Only go 10% effort on either side.

"Have fun, it's just a game"

    Loss after loss after loss.

Can only run meta as killer, can only swf as survivor.

    It suuuuuucckkks

You don't necessarily need to kill everyone to have fun. (unsure about how many points you can get without sacrifices)

You don't need to escape the trial alive to have fun (or even have max points)

So basically the fundamental fun in this game are chases. Chasing a survivor gives you a rush, getting chased gives you a rush. Hiding around and hearing the heartbeat and terror radius music, hoping the killer won't find you.

Catching a survivor off guard because you had a strategy they didn't think about.

Winning the game means nothing in a game where the same amount of points can be acquired by everyone in the same game. You don't necessarily need the last hook on someone or the 5k for escaping for points & you don't need these things to have fun.

It's a game after all, it's about fun. You can run whatever combination of perks you want. Finding something special & off meta that is gonna surprise both sides is a fun way to play the game.

  • The key nerf is probably gonna be an action that has to be completed before the hatch opens up with skill checks involved. Maybe it's quite fast to open but you get a hard skill check like DS/Overcharge and the key breaks if you miss.

I don't think it should ever limit the amount of survivors allowed to go through, or else they should of course remove the achievement.

  • I think it's funny how people feel like DS is ''60 seconds of invulnerability'' while it's literally;

''I can stun you once for the equivalent of a pallet stun & its break action... and I have a minute to do it.''

You don't have to leave the DS user alone for a minute you know. Just take it to the face & kill them after, simple.

Compare that to exhaustion perks that are active multiple times a game and DS basically doesn't even exist when equipped.

  • I think the fact they're so low on the tier list is because their power doesn't actually help down survivors.

If survivors stop healing against a legion then they'll just be powerless because really the mending mechanic isn't good enough of a power to begin with and you can tank hits when already injured.

The legion is like the plague is she didn't have the corrupt purge mechanic. A power that only allows you to injure without killing potential is not that great. It gives you movement speed and allows you to find more survivors in your terror radius but if you actually wanna start downing people you have to suffer the 4 second stun or get pallet-stunned.

I really like legion but I understand their tier list rating.

  • I think that's an overall console bug right now.

I play on PS4 and until recently I swore I heard chainsaws and stuff with the appropriate volume considering distance, but I just had a game where Billy was chasing someone and I heard a faraway chainsaw noise only to see them going right by me right afterwards.

Hope it gets fixed if it is indeed a bug.
