dead hard cannot ever come back, the existance of that perk single handedly made the game worse. some perks that need to come back are spine chill, self care, decisive strike (what were they thinking?) and calm spirit which wasn't really good to begin with. Also the range for barbecue should be a fixed 40 m for tier 1 2 and 3, it's completely useless at tier 1

It's a PvP game, and Pinheads crutch on passive powers and information he does not earn. I understand that if the killer player wants to use his chains it's one of the more skillful things in the game. The fact is that you don't need them to easily 4k. He has the highest kill rate and it's because of his passive power. Passive powers don't belong in PvP games.
it does when the game is a 4v1
-
in my experience, she's harder than blight (who is not that hard) but easier than billy (hardest killer in the game by far)

The 2 on the top should get a add-on rework/nerf
yeah, I find it odd how the killers that are already good by default get the best addons while some less used killers like twins and pyramid head have bad addons
-
it's like night and day, new haddonfield is not as painful to play as killer, and the houses are not as strong. It's still a survivor sided map, but I guess it's not as big of a deal as eyrie or crows (the worst map ever designed for non mobility killers)

Title says all. Just curious if 5 perk slots for killer will balance against SWF or would it make it more of an issue?
no, balancing shouldn't be decided by perks, and killers should rely less on perks, that's the point of getting a basekit 2 tokens of stbfl and basekit BS tier 1 and basekit 1/10th of a PGTW, so that perks are less necessary

ads is the least of his problems. the sensitivity is what drives me off tbh. Huntress can keep her sensitivity, why can't he when he's less effective?

So merciless killer is almost imposible to get in red ranks as even small mistake or even effiently playing reduce your points in emblems. I just played game with pig trying to get the adept. I got 11 hooks and one died to trap. I didn't camp or tunnel. I carried one survivor to basement thought but then someone came to immediatelly rescue I downed her and put her there too. I left the basement but that unfortunately was enough that I lost points because I stayed close to hook. As other times I left hook immediatelly. So to get merciless killer you should let survivor rescue in front of you and not down them.
just play nurse with 4 gen slowdown perks and double distance addons
-
nurse doesn't need a rework, just some addon nerfs

Fearmonger defenders change my mind that its a crap of perk.
counters: aura reading perks such as bond, kindred, empathy, object of obsession, the one from jeff, windows of opportunity, and detective's hunch! that's a LOT of info you can deny, on top of it already hiding hooked survivors too
exhaustion perks. 90% of survivors have at least 1 equipped

Its not really about Killers being weak.
But just yesterday I had the thought - why is half of my Perk Build being gutted (DS and Iron Will) and the Nurse with Starstruck, purple Range and green Recharge is allowed to exist? Or Nurse in general is allowed to exist?
because fun

You don't know about the 99 do you :)
to keep your sprint burst 99 you are actively not doing gens, so you are sacrificing something to get an advantage in your next chase, which as a killer main, I am totally fine with! I mean if for every single time a survivor starts running super fast for 3 seconds it means they weren't doing gens, then I'll be happy about it imo
-
give him more turning control and another addon pass
-
I would much prefer survivors having a distance advantage at the start of the chase than a free health state that also gives you distance
-
oni and billy are on equal levels of me loving to go against them lol
-
the wraith because his tome lore is very tragic, touching and is also important to raise awareness of an issue that still happens in the world and most people turn a blind eye too. I personally don't enjoy playing wraith, maybe top 5 worst killers to play, but his lore, very unique looks and cosmetics + sound design gives him a special place in my heart
Also the Plague for the same reasons, her tome lore (and base lore too) are awesome and share an emotional story and her visual and sound design are awesome, I also really enjoy playing her!
-
in a game where SWF is meta and counters most killer powers and strategies leaving not a lot of counterplay, a killer like nurse is needed
-
freddy and sadako should trade spots
-
just an advice, get a 4 man stack, playing soloq is infuriating
-
maybe that would make sense back when her chapter dropped, but it's been over 6 months, everyone can have CoH by now

"I really dislike using my brain more as killer. I don't want to think about if a Survivor has dead hard and how to counter it. I just want to smash smash smash and never miss a hit. Let me do some mental gymnastics on how OP dead hard is without any counters so I can get dead hard nerfed to the ground.... And After that sprint burst... After that all exhaustion perks... Just all perks of survivors pls. Just let them be bots without pallets and only Z walls"
it's okay that dead hard can dodge basic attacks, but stuff like hatchets and being used for distance? how do you counter they just zooming to pallet when you otherwise would have hit them. Also there are 4 survivors, if they all have dead hard that's so much more time you spend in chases
-
I literally have not seen anyone use it in game
-
the difference is sprint burst doesn't make you invincible for pressing a button, and it requires you to either 99 or do a gen to use it

4,000 hours.
Simply. 4,000 hours.
You will find no excuse for me to pair a 700h player - and I am not mentioning that another survivor in the game had 400h - with another having as much time spent on a game.
4,000h.
I don't know if you realize the enormity of this.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2914344#Comment_2914344
A single tryhard build.
A survivor at 3 perks.
A single DS. Two DH. A single BT.
No offering/item for gen rush.
All SoloQ.
You have a very broad definition of a sweaty team.
dead hard equipped on anyone that isn't david king = tryhard 🗿
-
because it's very rewarding and takes no skill
-
so 3 survivors with sweaty builds went against a killer with a sweaty build? that's what mmr should be about anyway

I know there are millions of topics on this all the time. This isn't a blanket Boo flashlights. They're fine However I just played a game where I was. playing a game where I was getting insta blinded by a flashlight.
Even if I turn away in time. I get back to back blinded and I mean instantly not even a delay in it.
I get blinded when the survivor isn't even facing me. it felt like I was getting blind from behind and that shouldn't even be a thing.
I know there are counters to flashlights so don't get me wrong.
Look up. Didn't have time as soon as I saw the light I was blind,
use lightborn. when you're going for adepts you can't do that.
how is insta blinding a killer over and over again any fun?
a forced delay between blinds would be great or when you blind it takes more out of the flashlight charge.
flashlight don't need a nerf, firecrackers need massive buffs

how dare killers ask for an overpowered perk to be nerfed?

what exactly needs to be buffed about her tho?

Two more worthless perks made even weaker
I find resurgence pretty useful, it's like everyone that unhooks you gets we'll make it
-
maybe increase it to like a 25% so that it removes a tiny bit more time off of it? I just don't see why you would use it over enduring, which saves you a full second

Dont think the vast majority of the playerbase likes going againts a Spirit or a Bubba.
A good Nurse is a pain to deal with but it feels so good when you juke her.
For Spirit or Bubba it never feels good no matter what happens.
Blight is also a high skill killer that has a lot of counters still.
Hag I personally find really fun to play and go againts since I love her jumpscare factor that always keeps you on edge and punishes mistakes you could have avoided easily.
Bubba is strong even without his camping that a lot of Bubbas rely on.
Spirit is the same old boring 50/50 where there's no skill involved but pure luck.
Oni I personally dont like going againts, but you can easily deny his power especially in the boon meta.
Artist is a killer I wish it wasn't released in the first place, her power is the embodiment of boring and unfun on both sides, her biggest strenght is zoning you in a corner with her crows with no escape,"fun gameplay" .
Make killers like Billy meta,I always have fun going againts Billys and feels the best when you juke them.
The argument of,killers are not supposed to be fun to go againts, yes it should, who wants to play a game where just playing it is unfun.
Both sides should be fun to play no matter how strong or weak a killer is.
There's strong killers I enjoy going againts as much as weak killers.
This is my tierlist of which killers are the most unfun or fun to play againts.
this list is so subjective, I for one HATE playing against hag and Freddy, but love playing against pinhead, oni, artist and I LOVE playing against a bubba that doesn't camp

Considering I can fully drain one guy, then find another for a bit of juice, then find a guy I haven't seen before and kill them instantly, leaving them with like 2k points in game....there has to be some restriction and changes.
isn't that more of a reason to nerf tombstone piece than to add a cap to base myers?

@Canas said:
I really tried to make her work but not even once in any of my games did I see a survivor affected by her condemnation power. What point is there in it existing if no one ever makes it into a critical state where she can mori someone? There need to be drastic changes in that area. At least turn it into Rancor with the ability to instadown and murder someone the moment the conditions are met.
Her secondary power (teleporting to tvs) is just an inferior version of the Freddy tp with the difference that she cannot tp directly to gens (the one objective you absolutely want to defend) and usually comes out in a way that you still can't see the objective. The way these televisions are set up really cripples their effectiveness and the fact that you cannot reuse them afterwards makes them even worse.
Her regular power (Demanifestation) hardly makes a difference either since survivors always seem to notice her approaching, I just can't get any surprise hits in. The lack of a speedup after reappearing also makes her a worse Wraith. You're still a 115% killer with no gapcloser or loop-shutdown.
The end-result is a killer with great aesthetics and a spooky theme but sadly with super-lackluster gameplay that doesn't affect survivor performance at all. Her hit and run style isn't even worth using since healing is completely out of control in the current metagame. Medkits as well as CoH invalidate any effort you put up. This killer is a low C-tier if you ask me.
I think she's very fun to play
-
stridor is pretty useless and l killers deserve their own chase theme. as for her power I think it's fine rn

@MikeyBoi said:
The twins are simply unfun to go against, literal slug fest and zero counterplay to victor.
there's actually way too much counterplay to Victor, not only can you dodge him like every other projectile, you can kick him, making it so that if you're good you only gotta dodge *once* unlike huntress which you gotta dodge from 5-7 times or trickster which you gotta dodge 44 times

I wanted to see other ppl opnions on this topic because as a killer main who already got P3 and all perks on every killer then followed Mathieu's advice (play something else) i can't really recommend this killer to others...
She is not really fun to play as she has nothing special other than being able to walk through survivors and teleporting feels really clunky because you can't really tell exactly where the TV is nor the side its facing and on top of that u cant even move your camera during the animation...
In the end she is just a M1 killer with no chase potential, no insta down and a long cooldown teleport that can be prevented by survivors, instantly removing any form of potential map pressure she might have.
I must say that im just playing her because she is new and i wanna P3 her and find the best build possible, however she is boring as clown, Freddy and Wraith are more interesting to play (even tho they are extremely bland too), and once i get there, i'll probably stay away from DbD until next chapter.
loving her! she's very fun
-
I unironically used to perform better at haddonfield than eyrie, it's just too big man
-
their play style is veeery different tho. the reason why spirit is strong is different from the reason why Sadako is strong
-
low mmr..

Stridor + spirit
or you could just increase the volume of your game and save yourself a perk slot?
-
the twins are the most unique killer and they have the lowest pick rate and most survivors say they don't like playing against them, they released very buggy and still feel extremely sluggish to play as, such as having to wait 7 seconds to switch to Charlotte after you down someone and victor exploding even when you are not on top of a object
-
the plague. her base lore is amazing and her tome is even better

predator, monstrous shrine, hangman's trick and arguably even cruel limits are more situational and less useful than bloodhound. bloodhound is at least useful at what it advertises itself as, a perk that allows you to track blood better, and it works for that. While Predator does not help you one bit
