  • Personal tie between Technician and Lithe. Lithe saved my butt so many times, but my favourite playstyle is sneaky, so I love sitting on a gen with iron will, technician, resilience and spine chill and just powering through while the killer is chasing somebody close to me and not noticing me at all.

Those are some awesome ideas. I know I'd love to see a couple implemented.

Funny enough, I think my favorite part of all your ideas is the mini event thing.

Maybe instead of every other weekend, there could be a mid season event, maybe even a double BP weekend or week, where the new game mode launches alongside that seasons hot fix or something.

That way it could be a fun event players can plan for, without running into choice paralysis too quickly.

Armello features rotating modes! Every Friday you have basically shorter rounds for quicker thinking and on Wednesday you have random rule changes. Both modes go alongside a "normal" multiplayer queue. I feel like this system could be a cool addition :)

  • Rank will be reworked, just a matter of time! :)

Ach man...

I swear to the holy entity itself, tome 3 better be about Adam Francis.

Not only do you SPIT in my FACE by letting Adam go 237 DAYS without an outfit, but you also give Jane, a survivor which came AFTER Adam and who had MULTIPLE OUTFITS a tome and an archive entry.

As a dedicated Adam main not only do I find this lack of support for one of YOUR ORIGINAL CREATIONS sad but also quite disturbing, I mean 237 days? are we going mad or something?

You guys better have something in store for my boy when tome 3 rolls around or the official Adam council will decide your fate (which is always to pebble)

"or the official Adam council will decide your fate (which is always to pebble)" made my day 😂 for the confusioooooon!

  • Unfortunately you just gotta grit your teeth through it and hope your next round will be more fun :( but it will pass again, I am sure.

  • Haven't played him as killer yet but I really got scared of the blast while playing survivor and I love it! Gives me a reason to be scared again (for a while) :p

  • There is a ton for me but the one that immediately comes to my mind right now is The Hills have Eyes 3. That weird tongue mutant thingy just ... bah.

  • Pretty hyped for Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2! Loved the old one, it's a bit crappy but it has character :)

Hope they get the release well done this time!

Elsewise, still playing a bit of Planet Zoo although my hype around that game is slowly going down

  • It's a known issue, devs are working on it :)

Witcher is on my todo list. Bonus points for it since it stars Henry Cavill (Biggest Celeb Crush).

    H E N R Y C A V I L L <3

have you seen him in The Tudors?

  • I talk to my plants and would say I am overall pretty attached to them

  • I second Dark! Wish I would have had a notepad with me during my first watch because it got so confusing and mindblowing :p

also, imo the Witcher series is really awesome!

I have a couple, I'll do a few for now.

You'll have no idea that you have rabies for months as you'll show no signs of it, once you find out you show symptoms, you cannot be saved, you will die.

You reach a delirium where you are in a fright and fear of water, you die slowly due to the virus growing in your brain, you die from a lack of water, you refuse to drink it, in the best case scenario, you end game yourself before the effects really kick in.

Go see a doctor immediately if you've been bitten, better safe than sorry.

The cellular make up in your eyes makes you see better in low contrasts light in the periphery (edges of outer ends of your eyes, away from the middle) vision.

The cells work so they have a lower activation, so in dark or quite minute monochromatic differences, you'll see much better at the corner of your eyes than your central vision rather than the middle which is wired to color and focus, complexity and analyzing.

So in thought, something out of the corner of your eye that disappears when you look at it, it might really be there.

RIP going to bed in a dark room now lol

Did you know that most retail shops send you counter-clockwise through the shelves since large parts of the population are right-handed and you feel more inclined to buy something when you can easily reach it with your strong hand?

  • LOL guys 😂

I meant Pen and Paper! The origin of all rpgs hahaha

I didn't know there was some weird orgy stuff related to that abbreviation 🤣

  • LaraVermillion is my gaming tag for over 10 years now.

Lara is my first name and Vermillion was, back in the day, my favourite Slipknot song :D Fun fact: Somewhere in Missouri lives a CEO that is really called Lara Vermillion. Wonder if she knows about me and my gaming history whenever she googles her own name 😂

  • aww, at first it read to me as if you guys would do a pnp session haha! That would be awesome with the DbD lore, too, I guess

  • I feel like the matchmaking is unforgiving to beginners either way, because when you start the game for the first time on the 13th of each month and might have some good rounds that gets you into the yellow ranks, you might get casual red rank survivors anyway and have a bad time. It's gotten better since when I started playing in December 2016, I remember ranking pretty fast in my first killer matches and then getting to a point in yellow-green ranks where I was constantly outplayed.

Personally I think it would be cool to have a "beginners queue" or so, where you can't level further than a certain rank range for a certain time and you only get matched with other beginners. Of course SWF would be a problem in this queue, or beginners that get into a SWF with people that succeeded the beginner queue are excluded from beginner killers.

  • Devotion 2, Level 30.

Playing since 3 years but long breaks inbetween. I am happy I hit the 1k hours recently :3

  • They had once, a moonlight offering that made the map darker or lighter. Was removed about a year ago. It was also viable for killer :p

  • Working retail, so I came to hate pretty much the whole Christmas package. :(

Buuuut I love christmas/winter scented candles, cookies and "All I want for Christmas" by Mariah Carey. :'D

  • Could someone please draw them all as a Christmas collage for me? Such cute ideas :o

  • Or maybe a forgotten Greek soldier that fell during the wars back then, or had fun torturing war prisoners and shooting them for fun

He could have a Greek short sword for melee attacks

  • I would wish for a bow. I just happen to like them :D

The mechanic would be similar to Huntress throwing hatchets, I guess.

  • Erm taking a wild guess since I don't know anything about her but maybe that she is one hundred percent in love and would like to marry her dude?

At least that's similar to what my best friend posts when she is posting pics with her fiancee (different age group here though, middle twenties)

This topic is particularly interesting to me because I’ve got two different viewpoints from this in my household.

I played LoL for a few years, so I’ve gotten used to large amounts of salt and the like thrown my way, especially since jungle and support were my two favorite roles (aka the most common targets for “it’s YOUR fault I’m doing bad!” comments.). DbD is definitely nowhere near as toxic as LoL...I can count on one hand the number of times someone has said something in DbD that genuinely got to me, League players were vicious by comparison.

My wife on the other hand did not ever play LoL. She did play Overwatch for a while but never competitive, so she didn’t have much toxicity, relatively. It’s relatively easy to get to her in postgame chat or clearly taunting toxic behavior in game, and I don’t think it’s because she’s thin skinned, but rather she just doesn’t have the experience dealing with it that I do. It really does make a difference having the experience with it. As is I need to remind her she can close off the chat for a few games if she needs, or that it’s probably time to take a break.

The community isn’t as bad as people call it out to be, but it certainly isn’t a fountain of rainbows either. Certainly not my gold standard for good communities, but also not the worst I’ve been in.

Exactly how I meant to say it, but your wording hit on point :p

  • Personally, I would love playing Jason since Friday the 13th is one of my favourite slasher movie series. On the other hand, the Trapper was designed after him, to have a similar killer without the licensing issue, and I feel Jason wouldn't give the game much variety gameplay wise. The situation *could* be compared to Hillbilly and Bubba.

  • What I like about DbD is the fact that you only really have the post lobby chat to communicate with "the other side" and if they get insulting or you don't want to take it anymore in any way, you can just leave. Of course this action takes a little bit of self control since you need to be able to tell yourself a discussion wouldn't be worth it. Also, rounds are short so you "only" waste 15ish minutes on a round that sucked, compared to the 40+ minutes a regular LoL game takes.

    @Fibijean said:

Larger, competitive games like the ones you listed above do tend to have a higher level of "toxicity" simply because of the sheer size of their communities. That, and the fact that at least two of them are actual esports so people tend to take them a lot more seriously, especially in ranked play.

It's possible that the DBD community has a higher proportion of "toxic" players considering its relatively small size, but that is mainly because of the way the game is set up. Two opposing roles, with very different playstyles, meaning that most people favour one or the other. So there's a lot of "us versus them" going around. Also, because the roles are balanced individually and compete with one another, a buff to one is an indirect nerf to the other and vice-versa, which is why everyone gets so defensive and up-in-arms every time a change is made or even suggested.

People everywhere are jerks, but the game itself naturally doesn't do a lot to promote a wholesome and unified atmosphere.

In regard to the last sentence, you are right, it is the premise of this game since it is an uneven-sided game based on murder, so it needs a dark setting; and some people are mean just for the sake of it.

Its not that I don't want to play her its just I want to focus on leveling up my main killers without having to pour all me BP into her. Right now I'm level 38 with Hag and Ruin hasn't even shown up as a teachable yet. But all those BP I could of used to get my Oni to Prestige 1. Most games I've been getting gen rushed and placed with good survivors and SWF. So ive been aiming towards Ruin.

I think Ruin was her level 40 teachable, so you're almost done :)

Also, twistedmonkey is kind of right. I barely play Ruin on any killer since most survivors recognise you've got the perk early on, spend one minute or two looking for it or simply working through the gens and then it's done and you "wasted" a perk slot (most Hexes are wasting perk slots, imo). Depending on your playtime and experience, killer will become easier while playing. Of course Ruin and other meta perks are a viable help until you've reached the point that you are good enough without them. I also understand that you feel as if you are wasting BP on her. But one day you might also enjoy playing her and be happy that you've leveled her so far already :)

Dunno, PS4 doesn't give that info. But I just reached Devotion 8, so maybe that gives a rough idea?

Consulted some of my friends and they said roughly 300-400 hours per devotion! So I guess congrats! :p

(but that's not an official number of course and varies by different factors)

  • Claudette for her love of plants! I am a crazy plant momma too, got around 20 different ones in my apartment.

  • Yeah, I feel like the hype for LY died down a bit. Might have been a pressure tool 1-2 years ago, but right now, especially since F13 got abandoned, DbD pretty much stands alone in this niche imo

  • No memes at hand, but get well soon and happy thanksgiving! <3

  • Well done! It's looking so lovely cute ;o also, great work on the textures!

  • I'd say I get about 70%. But greatly depends on how my day went and in which "mode" my brain is. I feel like I hit them better when NOT focussing on them.

And I also like to play Blendette with Stake out :'D

  • I feel like we could use new unbound perks, but available for shards maximum, yes

  • It's been four years since I last watched that movie, but this Halloween I was talking about it with some friends, so it came back to my mind: NekRomantik, and its successor.

It's a German low budget movie made in the late 80s, so don't expect great effects or a soundtrack NOT containing crazy synthies :D Also, it is highly disgusting and a (bit?) disturbing, but if you're into that kind of gross horror I definitely recommend it. I have a tough love/hate relationship with that movie.

I also watched Flatliners on Netflix recently and it is really well done psychological horror. Also highly recommend ^-^(and not as hard to stomach as NekRomantik :'D)

  • yep, I really don't like the dark red font over the black background. But you can click the dots of your browser menu and select "View desktop version", it helped me a lot.

  • Worked as a confectioner for a while. We stored our flour in the basement. I was sent to pick one up. It was 4 AM and I was still deadly tired, so I took a nap standing in the basement and leaning on the bag of flour. Glad I woke up again after a few minutes or else my colleagues might have started looking for me and it would have gotten embarrassing 😂

  • The list is long.

My first "horror game" was L4D2 when I was 13 years old. I was starting the Dead Center map and was too afraid to open the first door because a zombie was banging at it. Took me 5 minutes of prep talk to go through and hit him with my fireaxe.

Next is The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. Bleak Falls Barrows. The first time you enter a draugr dungeon in that game. I knew something was gonna happen in that one long corridor, but I litterally screamed when that daugr stood up and had to pause my game for a while. I still get heart attacks when I have to play draugr crypts :'D

I could go on and on, I really get scared easily and often, which is funny since I love horror games and movies and feel like I should be hardened by now, buuuut I gotta share the best moment with you: A freaking mummy. In Sims 3: World adventures 😂 It just opened the sarcophagus and I was like "NOPE"

  • I love the many awesome people I met through this game and the hundreds of hours I enjoyed playing and talking with them :)

  • Double BT escapes. One is hooked, gets unhooked with BT, unhooker gets hooked, gets unhooked by the unhooked with BT, both tank hits for each other and get out xd

Combine with dead hard and see lots of confused killers

  • This happened when I was still under 100 hours of gameplay and learning the ropes as survivor. An SWF friend saved me from a camping Billy and let me run before him so he could tank a hit or juke him away if he revved the chainsaw. There was one pallet a few metres away from the open exit gate and billy was chasing us. My friend told me in TeamSpeak that he had the plan of dropping the pallet into the oncoming chainsaw attack and I should pass through it before him and head straight out. Bit I was so adrenaline kicked IRL that I immediately dropped the pallet, my friend running straight into it and billy sawing him from behind.

I still feel bad about this although it's been over two years now ._.

  • She screamed in pain, not knowing why such a vicious being was on this earth ... Or was it even the same earth?

  • She ran for miles and miles and was weary like a cow lead to the slaughter when she tripped over a stone and fell, her scream cutting through the silence of the night.

  • To her side, she heard a rustle and saw the eyes of the creature again, staring at her, a threatening grin appearing underneath them.

  • The girl wondered where those flashbacks from people dying on hooks and trying to save each other came from.

  • What a nice idea! Fellow artist here, I really share your struggle with breaking free of using the same colours. Maybe it is time I try something like this myself 😊

    I wish for a wraith in palette c #44 :)
