Then BUFF THESE SECTION OF KILLERS.

NOT NERF SURVIVOR OR BUFF KILLER AS A WHOLE.

It's not that easy, or it could be, but I don't think survivors as a whole would not "enjoy" it. If we keep how easily it is to pop all gens in less than a few minutes, then the powers/abilities need to become more threatening if left unchecked or ignored without nerfing gen speeds. Unfortunately, that would require a major overhaul to many of our current killer roster and let's be honest a rework, let alone many of them, is not really going to happen. There are quite a bit of hex perks that can accomplish this, but due to spawn locations and the crutch some have with revealing their auras to survivors, make them unreliable.

Gen regression got nerfed BECAUSE everyone was using 4 gen-regression all the time 24/7.

Which lead to survivors using genrush 24/7.

The reason they havent stopped is because they play against kaneki who use 3 gen-regression with blood favour on maps that barely have a decent pallet count.

Why would a survivor who takes 120s to do a gen, not feel pressured to genrush more than they did before?.

Not like you already pushed away majority of casual from last years constant nerfs to soloq, but im sure this will give you alot more sweaty swfs as a result to nerfing them again.

Gen regression got nerfted due to that yes, but a majority of killers need those perks because their power doesn't help them in a chase in which leads to more time wasted trying to down a single survivor. This did lead to survivors using genrush 24/7, however with the nerfs to gen regression it has not stopped and ironically has been buffed. This has led to our current pool of meta killers that specialize in map mobility and can close out a chase relatively fast. The only other option is to slug, and we all know what's next on the chopping block.

There is not even a shortage casual players from the past years, soloq has been buffed in many ways I don't know where you are getting that. In fact, I would argue this is probably one of the most survivor friendly times for a long time even when not playing swf.

  • There are so many crutches now days for survivors it's really a skill issue if the survivors 3 gen themselves and even with that, there is only a limited amount of time you can regress the gens.

  • I mean it is a horror game so I fail to see the problem.

  • At this rate, they will probably revert hag back to how she was originally and could not move for about 3~5 sec when teleporting, to make things "fair".

  • Hit validation in general is a huge slap in the face for any m1 killer, worse still it will occasionally mess with ranged attacks, such as pyramid head. ever since they introduced it to the game it utterly ruined the game for killers. pallets are somewhat understandable, but out in the open? come on. it's just a band aide fix for a problem that still is there.

  • With all the ways to find totems and incentives to do so (inner strength) it is really the survivors fault for not doing bones

No, the little flash grenade sits in the middle of the gen like this

What you're talking about is the fuel cap that vibes there. If we compare the two images, we can see that there's space for the grenade and it's missing.

Well, then they should just add a model to it for both sides then. The perk is already overkill.

  • Isn't it that little thing sitting on top of the gen the blast mine? I know it's hard to see but maybe they could just increase the size of the model for it at least a little.

  • Powerful effects, but bad placements. they shouldn't be so obviously placed, especially with all the perks to find them.

  • "Gen Rushing" isn't a bad thing, I mean it's literally the objective for the survivors in the game. The issues lie in a lot of killers and perks that cannot pressure enough to keep them from completing objectives.

  • No, you cannot be banned for intentionally playing poorly, unless you take the game hostage.

  • "Hit Validation" and the occasional lag shuttering into a wall.

  • Pinhead's "Blink" is not a blink. He creates a portal where he controls a living chain from. He does not leave his location while channeling it. Nurse on the other hand literally moves through obstacles and can down through it.

  • Something like this could happen if we get a killer like Lady Midday

  • Distressing Huntress with BBQ.

Woops, I mean legion Doctor or Hag.

  • The best games for me is when I can provide more advantages to my team, but also similarly as killer.

  • I kinda feel the same too lately, it seems like every lobby I get with a survivor where more and more people are yellow ranks and yet I am red. but as a killer, I go against rank 1s. I think this poor matchmaking is the awful "hidden rank" system. what is the point of having a deceptive rank when you are being matchmade from another unknowable algorithm?

  • Haddonfield, is there any other better choice to hate? Though I am shocked to see people not liking the indoor maps, they are amazing for stealth plays.

  • Nurse can be amazing if she can predict your every move, honestly the best choice is to make your movements as erratic as possible so she cannot predict. Don't forget to not let her have line of sight because it makes the guessing game for her that much harder thus increasing your odds of escaping.

To top it off Nurse also is plagued with bugs, such as if she tried to use her second blink too quickly while using her first blink she may get stuck charging and fail to blink, or worse still there is a bug I think may be specific to the double blink add on where she falls through the ground (I think it's due to it trying to place her into a location she cannot be at such as in a rock). let's not get started on the random things she cannot blink through lol.

In the end it just takes some practice to outmaneuver her, but honestly I feel like she is one of the easier killers to evade compared to killers like Spirit.

  • I just don't understand how people we asking for basekit trickblades to double bounce trickblades nerf. Did we really need that second bounce? Did they at least lower the rarity to make it more common?

  • To be honest I feel like the winter season releases feel kinda rushed because they come right after the blight from October. I prefer the Spring releases because it's always something that is very Different. (Saw, Demise of the faithful, Chains of hate, sorta Spark of Madness)

  • Yea, it feels like that when I play killer too, though I am in red rank. I play killer then I'm playing against rank 1s but as survivor even in red ranks it's throwing in at least 1-2 rank 20s or somewhere else in the 15-20 ranks.

  • I like perks that create chaos and confusion such as Trail of Torment, Dark Devotion, Dragon's Grip, Deathbond over your typical regression perks. It's always fun catching people off guard with some killers they would not expect it.

  • That lady became an internet legend overnight

  • It could because he may have another perk that enables the Undetectable status besides shroud. He may have also attacked from stealth via another undetectable perk and then went in shroud after hook.

  • I know I'm quite late to the party, but to be honest I think that slinger is fine how he is and comparing him to Pyramid head is bad, since Pyramid head does almost everything slinger can do, but better.

Slinger moves slower than other killers, has a limited range for his skill, moves slower while aiming, projectile slower than a fully charged hachet, cannot hit through walls, has to slow down and reload after each shot, gets stunned if chain is broken and so on.

The only way I could see his aiming being "nerfed" is if they made a wind upc like huntress or clown which increases his range while holding down, up to Let's say 50% increase. The only problems with this is how quickly the chain may break.

  • Hex: Undying fixes a lot of totem woes and the new placements too. An Interesting thing with Hex: Undying is that if itself is cleansed, it just moves over to another dull totem. Basically all hexes just move to dull totems until all of them are destroyed.

Another interesting suggestion is to add a Killer offering that increases amount of totems that spawn in a match.

  • It could be that the "true survivors" do not exist and all they are are fragments of themselves, which is why they struggle to remember. The entity may do this to maximize the potential gains from their hope through the trials, what it feeds on.

  • somewhere between Zarina and Jeff

  • He is Argentinian, just a little pull from his lore "Ace Visconti is one charming guy. With his sharp Italian looks, grey-streaked hair and silver tongue, he could pass for an ageing 50's movies star. His heart has always belonged to the cards. From his roots as a poor boy in Argentina"

  • @BigBrainMegMain @coppersly I guess I'm not apart of the popular opinion with her cool down. Honestly I am pretty content with her cooldown and number of blinks. One Blink usually charges up during the time you are fatigued and the second usually finishes when they are in one blink range still.

With the nurse the first blink is usually to cover distance where as the second is to reposition if needed. I think if recall with every blink increases fatigue time? If you want to cover distance one blink is usually enough.

It has always been a game of prediction with with the nurse. Even if you lose line of sight of them there are only a couple probable outcomes they can do. For example, if they create distance during fatigue and go around a corner and hide until the nurse thinks they went ahead or they slip through a vault to avoid notice. If this happens often with a particular survivor it's best to blink along corners so that even if you go past them you still can get visual if you go by.

  • it's usually best to take out the MVP player or weakest link as soon as you can in my opinion, however I wouldn't recommend ignoring anyone clearly out of position or not paying attention to their surroundings.

  • Do not doubt the power of audio denial through disfigured ear or grandma's heart lack of Terror Radius.

  • Though fortunately the major deadzones I've come across are far and few, however I think the more gamebreaking bug she has is when she tries charging the second blink about 10 times only to either auto blink a small distance or just go into fatigue. It can be frustrating when you are in hot pursuit of a survivor and suddenly her blinks randomly stop working.

  • I used to play her a lot when she first was released for about two to four months. Recently though I've picked her up again and honestly she doesn't feel all that bad, mind you she has a lot of teleport issues such as unable to blink through certain objects no matter how hard you charge, for example the tall side corners of hills or randomly the some beds in the Lerys map.

Overall she is still quite effective even with the two blinks and cool down, however I find a lot of her add ons just add handicaps. The disable blink, blink back, or situational double blink just feel horrible to use. I don't really use her matchbox or torn bookmark to comment on their effectiveness. I love her undetectable add on and nurses calling add on for free. I wonder if they could change an add on to add on-it blindness, hindered or mangled?

  • Where you pressing the reload button while hooking, use Oni's rage or blood absorption, or Demogorgon's portal?

  • @gatsby Me and a friend of mine have tested this bug and can confirm that it affects ALL vault locations which include a drop such as the ones shown in the above video.

So Currently ANY vault locations that have a drop will either:

    A. Cause you to shudder and fall (as tested on Lampkin Map basement house Dropdown vault 2nd floor.)

    B. Fail to Vault

I have submitted this bug report, which you should probably submit one as well with the two videos. In the mean time I suggest shelving legion or avoiding any of those vault locations.

  • @RockoRango I think it may be tied to secondary powers. usually when you play the nurse like me, you M2 to start charging up the blink as soon as the hook is finished. same thing with the clown reloading. I don't know if this is because of dedicated servers not being able to verify that the survivor have connected to hook or some other internal issue. It would be nice to test on a KYF though.

  • is it just that pallet? does it work on other pallets or maps? It could be specific to that location.

  • This bug has been around since at least October. I have yet to find the cause but it seems it has become more frequent recently.

Edit: can to specify what killer and what actions where you doing as the hooking sequence began? I had seen it happen with the clown, but personally I had it happen to me quite a bit as the nurse and pig. any specific map it appears on more often?

  • You would lose the power... However if the Obsession comes back into the game (such as from decisive strike, nemesis, for the people, etc) then the perk would return retaining it's current stack. The same is true for stack perks such as furtive chase and remember me.

  • Dark Devotion gives the obsession a terror radius when hit, reducing you own and making yourself undetectable. most perks or powers that interact with the terror radius will have an effect, even the doctors static blast.

  • I do like the idea, but I see them as making these secondary objectives tied to a new killer's power such as RBT boxes, plague's fountains or Freddy's clocks.

  • It seems to occur most frequently when going from the results screen to the bloodweb or archives.

  • @LemeTheMeme said:

With how the game has been going, no. The game is entirely RNG based, and any SWF group with good looping skills will outweight a killer with good pressure.

Did I mention that it's RNG BASED??????!!!!!! No competitive game should EVER be RNG based.

Magic: The Gathering is Technically RNG based and still holds competitive tournaments.

Though sadly I can't see DbD or any asymmetrical game holding any legit tournaments due to how hard they are to balance with both sides having an equal power level.

  • I like it. It combos well with Thrilling Tremors, dying light and thanatophobia. However this only makes the killers who lacked map pressure like the clown even weaker than they already were.

  • Finland, Scotland, Norway or Thailand for both Survivor or killer.

I would really like to see a Finnish Survivor or Killer the most, probably with the Ski map being set in the same realm.
