Same issue here. Unlocked and claimed all Twitch Drops, yet none of them showed up on my account (neither the banner, charm, badge or the BP award).
-
It's a known bug and the devs are already working on a fix that should be out this Tuesday!
The original thread in Bug Reporting:@Killer_Queen said:
SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE:
PLATFORM: PS5
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED: I looked at my Quest progress for the 2v8 rewards and it only shows I completed 1 quest when I have completed 3.

Something to add here that I noticed: The completion quests were locked behind a "Starts in: 3 days" and only unlocked after I restarted DBD and I completed 3 quests before I restarted. So perhaps these completion quests were locked behind a 3-4 days timer by accident?

You can report daily chat messages and they never take action. I only remember being notified of them taking action in a few cases of insistent xenophobia and homophobia, it seems that death threats and calling your whole family is no big deal.
Yeah. I do understand that don't want to punish everything, as some of it could be banter or just rage in the moment after a losing-streak, but when someone just straight up confesses openly to just throwing matches left and right then perhaps something should be done.
-
Can confirm that this is still in the game (and also on PC)
This seems pretty huge, as I was able to get head pops WITHOUT a gen even being completed in all 6 of my matches where I tested this. This and Tampered Timer makes it near impossible for all survs to get their trap off, unless they rotate perfectly between boxes and even then can you make impossible for all survs to get their trap off with perks like Hex: Face the Darkness -

Well the most used Killer perk is apparently Pain Resonance and i find it incredibly overrated.
Pain Resonance removes 17,8 charges, or roughtly 18 seconds for each survivors hooked when a generator is at exactly 99%, which isn't going to happen a lot of the time, not to mention it being wasted by blowing up gens that are below 50%.
No Way Out gives 60 seconds, while technically a bit less than Pain Resonance max time saved on paper keep in mind that its 60 seconds no matter what, it can't be wasted like PR and you dont have to bother with the RNG of Scourge Hooks. I stick with No Way Out
Wait, doesn't pain res remove 20% of the total progress? I think you are talking about Pop Goes The Weasel where the time taken away is dependant on the gen's current progression.

Why would you play a stealth killer when the event give you the ability of a stealth killer? You are definitely far more lethal as a leatherface or a skull merchant who makes 0 noises than a ghostface.
Ghostface has that massively loud "woosh" sound effect when he is nearby that you can't get rid of this event, so it is obvious when he is near you.
The woosh sound effect feels off in this mode tbh. I can only hear it once he is in the vision range.
His undetectable may be useless, but his exposed power is definitely more powerful in this mode.
Ghostface's stalking range is still the same, so you are able to stalk people without even seeing them, meaning they cannot see you and are having a tough time revealing you. This means you don't have activate your power early to avoid detection by terror radius and just use it when you can hear a gen being worked on like 12 meters away from you or when you are trying to find survs that are hiding, making his power more consistent.
The only thing you have to do is find a gen that is being worked on, stalk from a save distance where they cannot see you and get often times free easy downs
Played him for like 12 matches already and it works wonders (although some of the survs were... below par when it comes to chase skills, since they do not have exhausts or WOO, so those I probably would have won regardless which killer I was playing)

Everyone loves this chapter it's just the fnaf people making a fuss again.
"Everyone" is putting it a little bit too nicely. There are a good amount if posts out there that went bananas the moment they saw that Chucky has a mega lunge with an ability that makes him undetectable and instantly called for nerfs, even though they haven't playtested the new chapter at all and those posts are currently turning into a hellfire of straight up insulting people over opinions.
Sure, the majority loves the Chapter, but there are still many posts out there that are straight up just made in bad faith towards people of varying opinions and are not putting the DBD community or the game in any good light.

Backfilling could have caused these things to happen, and that's usually due to lobby shopping. Without seeing the gameplay that's the best cause I can give.
That I know happened for sure on two of the games (the first two mainly), not sure about the other ones. Wish BHVR would change that and instead make it that it finds a person that fits the lobby at least somewhat in order to keep the balance.

Thing is, some people want to play DBD and not be forced to deal with an event that gives survivors an extra healthstate for free.
The pumpkins and the rift deposit hastes are fine, since realistically you'll only use them for map mobility and not chase.
But the 30s endurance ontop of haste is too much and results in a frustrating killer experience.
I get your point, but if you make it that the event doesn't affect gameplay somehow in more ways than just simple small speedboost, then people will complain again that the event is "lacklustre" and "boring" and that the devs "don't do anything or copy paste previous events"
But yeah, we are still suffering from the fact that we only have one gamemode where both casuals and comp players have to play against each other, which none of the two like to, unless you love having really easy matches when playing for the win

"Our focus on winning is bad, esprcially when killers do. Why cant zhey chill and not kill me? ( let me escape)"
Its quite zhe hypocrisy and "us vs them" isnt a valid concern when the thread starts with it....
Where does the thread start with it? They gave an example on how people are sweating in their games against non-sweating players. If it would have been the other way round (survivors sweating against a non-sweating killer) it would have made no difference. Once again, they happen to notice it mainly on the survivor side.
They kept addressing that it is a COMMUNITY issue. Not once did they say that this is a killer issue...

I agree with your sentiment, but this type of thing is a cycle:
1.) Killer main plays a goofy build and gets destroyed; survivors have a fun or at least easy game.
2.) Killer main plays nurse or blight next game because they're irritated with how the last game went; survivors do not fun
Same thing applies the other way around. Why would I run 4 chest-searching perks when it's a very high probability that I'll get a Blight with alchemist ring and the 4 strongest perks on him?
It's gonna repeat like this endlessly unless the devs bring all kills and perks up to around the same par, which is basically an impossible feat.
Sadly, I have to agree with you there.
What I am still unsure about is what the developers want this game to be. Do they want it to be a competitive game or a fun game you play on the side?
Cause on the one hand we have SBMM and Community cups that would make it seem like they want it to be competitive.
On the other hand these community cups have their own set of rules not found in public games and SBMM is VERY lenient with it's soft cap and nothing stops you de-ranking on purpose to have easy matches and still get to Iri 1 grade.
I wish we could have a statement, cause as of right now, we have this 50/50 split of people sweating and people playing for fun and it's causing frustration for both of them.

No problem. Thanks for proving how entitled survivors are. “Play for my fun!!” 😭
Oh no! How entitled of a non-meta build using survivor to ask others to not hardcore sweat every game and try out new and fun builds! How dare they ask for more fun and variety!
Who is supposed to be the entitled one here?
Also how nice of you to make it an "Us vs them" argument. They complained about the community mindset, meaning everyone, killers AND survivors. They just happen to notice it more when playing survivor.

You would rather face skull merchants, knights, legions, camping bubbas, sweaty blights than wesker?
As a break from constantly facing the same killer? Sure.
They are irritating to play against, but still better imo than facing the literal same killer over and over.

True but really this just proves that Wesker's design is great. He is so fun to play that many people pick him but not overpowered like Nurse or Blight. We need more killers like Wesker. Killers one would actually want to play (unlike the last 2) and that don't feel awfully weak (*Singularity*).
That would also lead more variety when it comes to which killer you face.
Oh that I agree with, totally!
If more killers like Wesker existed, then the problem of him becoming boring to play against would vanish, as there would be a variety of killers being played against.

A new killer comes out with a nice/powerful chase power. some people get mad. An example being Wesker's unkillswitch.
A new killer comes out with a 3 gen. the majority gets mad. nobody wants to play an hour game, yet everyone wants to win.
A killer comes out with a boring/bad (unoptimized, etc.) power. some people get mad. people want to spend their money on a killer that is fun to play with and gets then worth at most to all MMR levels.
The problem with Wesker isn't his power. It's the fact that the majority of the games as surv are against Weskers.
A killer could have the most balanced power and people would still complain if they are versing them 24/7, as it would get boring or even frustrating to play against the same killer over and over.
-
Yeah, it is still bugged. Tried to complete it like 5 times and it would always fail, even if my input was correct.
-
The emblem system is also hit by this bug! I have sacrificed all 4 survivors in one game, yet the emblem system only gave me points for 3 of the 4 survivors (So 10 for hooking all survs at least once, 10 for 9 or more hooks and only 60 instead of 80 for 3 sacs even though I saced all 4)
-
Had the same issue. I have the daily challenge, played two games of Myers, in both games I T-Uped like 4-5 times, 0/4 progression on the challenge after the matches.

I agree. But is that whole ‘great skill’ bit still an argument people make in defense of her brokenness?
Some still use it, but most of the people I have seen in Nurse discussions would say that she doesn't take that much skill.

Hmm. That’s the number I remember, too. But wasn’t there something off or different about her that made her kill rate misleading? It may have been linked to the notion that playing her required great skill. She just wasn’t/isn’t really viewed or weighted like other killers.
I don't personally think that she takes great skill, but she certainly doesn't play like your average M1 killer. You don't "loop" around stuff by holding W, you use her power as the main way of ending chases and sometimes to traverse the map more quickly, which can take a good while to get used to, which is I why I believe the main reason why Nurse has the lowest winrate is cause of the first games one plays as her. You will not get a good or even decent kill rate in the beginning as her, but it will for sure pop off after you get used to her power.

Considering Pinhead was at the top of the kill bracket with Pig not far behind, I'm going to say it's extremely likely that most of the player base isn't good at the game and its inflating the kill rate to make killers look better than they actually are with competent players.
I actually agree on that that it's not too bad and most of it is coming from survs who are quick to give up on hook if they get downed first OR certain killers who over-perform at the moment (Blight with his best addons for instance), but certainly not the killer role itself. I would love to see some buffs for Pig and Myers, especially since I love Myers power, but I would also like to see changes to Blights addons and Nurse.
It's all about knowing what is currently over-performing and under-performing, which BHVR, has a hard time figuring out.

Is Nurse’s kill rate really so low? I thought her killer rate, while the lowest of all killers, was just a few points below 50%. It’s not like it was 20% or something; it was actually pretty good…
I only remember a statistic they released a good while back where her kill rate was around 47% or so, the only killer with a kill rate less than 50%. It may have not been that bad, but when you compare it to the other killers, who all had a kill rate above 50%, some even reaching 60%, it is still significant.

no your wrong. killers need a buff, almost all killers are a joke to loop with the obvious exceptions being nurse, spirit ect
61% kill rate...
-
@MrPenguin said:
Yikes, all the people trying to use borked statistics as an actual counter argument.
Guess we better nerf Pig, Myers, and Pinhead and Buff Nurse since that's the same data pool their getting the kill rate from.
It is still concerning though. Killer mains would scream as well if it said "61% escape rate" instead.
It's all about causation and what you do with the stats. The main reason why Nurse is so low is cause one is probably going to have a really bad time the first times they play her, which is why her kill rate was the lowest in the stats.
Ofc, 61% COULD say that most survs are just bad, need to "git gud" and are low MMR , but it COULD also mean that the killer role is currently too powerful or dominate in certain areas a little too much.

How is June/July relevant? People came back for the anniversary and tried the new changes and left again just like they do every year.
When I say stagnant I am referring to year over year growth, which is true. The player base is always in flux month to month so it's certainly not actually stagnant like the Grim Pantry.
My point is more about the fact that despite having some of the biggest releases and meta shifts over the last 2 years, DbD is still in pretty much and hasn't grown in 2 years. I'd much rather they make proper changes to the game and if they did, I am sure they would see better player retention.
What stats site are you using? That doesn't look like Steam Charts.
I am using Steam DB https://steamdb.info/app/381210/graphs/
I just literally explained why June/July is relevant? It's where the big meta patch was literally released. I know the anniversary happened as well, but people stayed for the changes mostly (as seen by the 80% increase which was the anniversary PLUS the changes and the drop being "only" 30% in July which was the anniversary ending, but a good amount stayed for the changes and probably a good amount of them are new players)
There are definitely new players arriving BUT also players leaving or taking breaks due to sometimes this game having it's fair share of bad moments. I myself have taken a break from this game at some point due to it becoming stale and came back due to, you guessed it, the big meta patch.
Just cause the current players are not growing, doesn't mean that the community is not growing.
-
@ByeByeQ said:
If the game is in such a good spot and BHVR continues to make good changes, where is the growth?
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/YDZE37YERV1R/image.png
We just had a huge chapter drop preceded by the biggest meta shift in DbD history, yet the game is stagnant.
Sorry to interrupt you all snorting rails of copium. Carry on.
It's like you said, the biggest meta shift, which caused A LOT of survivor players (especially solo players) to take a break, due to them feeling like the game has turned into a "killer-favoured" game.
The avg. escape rate of all survs together is 39%, tunneling is at an all time high due to DS being nerfed and even the basekit BT not really helping (especially against STBFL users), Nurse and Blight('s addons) still being unchanged after people making big discussions about them and how their powers/addons are problematic.
What I am seeing is not a "stagnant" player base but a base that shifted in both directions very fast: Lots of players leaving due to the changes, lots of players coming in due to the chapter (and coming back due to the changes).
Also, very convenient of you to not show the June/July stats, as this is the time period where said balance changes were announced and implemented and the stats speak for themselves:

Dark theory increases movement speed by 0.02m/s.
Those scenarios are non-existent to ultra rare
Isn't it 0.08m/s, since that would be 2% of 4.00m/s (the running speed of survivors)?
But I would still agree that the amount is so low that it helps in like 1% of matches for like one miss on a vault.

It definitely used to, though. It was removed a while after 2.2.0 released, but I can absolutely confirm that it used to affect locker opening speeds.
That for sure! In my footage I also open lockers really fast, so that was still in there even during the 6th anniversary event, but I thought that it still said so on the addon card itself. I will miss this great effect, it was really fun grabbing Dwights at hyper-speed out of a locker.
-
@supersonic853 said:
It did have a effect and a text to match including lockers. Any dev will tell you it was a "bugfix" but no it was stated in the description and had a in game effect. It was nerfed. That was all there is to it.
I just looked up footage of my recordings I made during the 6th anniversary event. Turns out it really did not say it on the card. I would have wished that they would have just written it on the card instead of removing the effect, since wraith is already in a mediocre spot and the "opening lockers faster" aspect was never EVER the strong point of the addon :/

Yea but your team won so you did your job.
But in the most boring way possible. Chase will always be the fun part of DBD and not (or barely) getting chased because the killer decides to tunnel someone out and ignore you is not a great feeling and just makes the game feel stale. Winning may be nice, but it is not a great feeling when you won by only holding M1 the entire time. It just doesn't feel rewarding.
-
@Tatt3dWon said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3055972#Comment_3055972
At some point the killer has to end up chasing everyone in most games so you will get your turn unless you have a god tier looper on your team. If the killer gets gen rushed then tunneling didn't work and your team wins.
I am guessing that those are just my games, but in my survivor games, WHEN someone is being tunneled, then it is either
- One guy being tunneled out fast, 2nd guy being tunneled out, other 2 being slugged for the 4k
- One guy loops for long enough for 3 gens or more to pop, 2nd guy gets camped until death and the other 2 escape
I rarely get games that someone gets tunneled and then the killer proceeds to stop tunneling or camping. Usually killers go all the way and tunnel or camp through everyone and I cannot really blame them. Already started it, might as well finish with it.
And yeah even though the tunnel didn't work if you only got 1 kill by tunneling, it still feels eh for the rest when all they had to do was hold M1, while the actual surv who did most of the hard work died.

Better than sitting on a gen all game. At least being chased you're in the action and gens you just sit there, press space, and look around for the killer.
But that is the case for the other 3 survivors. They are not being chased and it is just one surv being tunneled, so the other 3 have to sit on gens the entire time (or occasionally take a protec hit). Tunneling and camping ARE one of the reasons why survivors "gen-rush", cause the killer won't chase them and instead is focusing on one specific survivor until that survivor is dead.

The additional information request form at https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new allows you to file only one offender ID/name, so I guess you'll need to file two.
For the steam user you'll need his SteamID64 (the account number, not the name), for the Epic one you'll need his name (Just saying, in case you don't know. I wasn't sure until very recently myself).
If you don't know the SteamID64, this should help: https://www.steamidfinder.com/
Makes sense to create two since only one name can be entered. Then I will just create two and done it is.

that's oddly very defensive for a simple request to see if you did something to annoy that survivor
Maybe it is cause they are still pissed at what happened to them? Cause I would also write like that after getting griefed like that.
At worst they probably did something stupid that caused the Cybil to go down, but that doesn't mean that the Cybil can now freely work with the killer (which is the point of this post, to ask if this is bannable), especially with a game that looks more than winnable (2 gens remaining, 3 hooks total spread out across 3 survivors including the Élodie).

Making Bubba Clunky around hooks won’t fix his issues. It will make annoying to use
I did not see any complains when victor got the "anti-facecamping change". in fact, I saw a lot of agreements from other twin players that this was the right choice, since it did promote an unhealthy playstyle. Fact is that a facecamping bubba is an unhealthy thing to have for both sides, since the killer won't move and just waits to use his power while staring into the hooked survivors soul, while the other survivors need to hold M1 as best as they can until they are out the exit gates.
In return we could buff bubba in other aspects to make him better in chase or reduce the amount of punishment he gets for hitting an obstacle or make it easier to navigate around tight corners.
-
What I do not understand is that they did fix the "facecamping issue with victor" on Twins. When you are controlling victor, you cannot switch to charlotte while near a hooked survivor. You would need to place victor near a hook before hooking, which wasted a little bit of time and may give the survivors time for a flashlight save, pallet safe, etc. and even then, victor cannot insta down or hit multiple survivors.
So why do Twins have these restrictions, but bubba, who can deny or punish unhooks in front of the killer better than any other killer, has none? It's a little weird.
-
It's not like those people who are leaving also enjoyed the game at some point, but felt like they game fell off a lot for them and they want to give feedback to the devs as to WHY it fell of for them.
I know, normally stuff like this should go into the "feedback" section, but stuff in the feedback section just get ignored most of the time.

When you go and play with a weaker build in the days of MMR I guess you can't really complain when you lose? But I would not take the game too too seriously. It's not balanced enough at all and it's heavily RNG depednant. Especially when the matches are so short who really cares? Test out something and if it doesn't work you can try something else 5 minutes later, or in your case 1 minute later haha.
That is not my point though. I am fine with losing, just hate it that you need DS and BT in almost every match in order to keep it fun and that people are insulting you when you don't.
-
@legrosporc69 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/304148/i-tried-using-a-fun-build
I dont think BT will help you if you get tunnel because its only good for the people you unhook. DS is nice if you are solo but that mistly because the other survivor cant do a safe unhook and dont run BT. I dont think you need those perk every game to counter the killer gameplay.
The perk you use had no synergie together so maybe a build around deception would be better like deception, quick and quiet, head on and another perk that can help you at anytime like DS or kindred.
With any means necessary you could have gone flip flop, power struggle and window of opportunity.
Honestly i think the only mistake you did is you had good perk but no good perk combo your are not playing the meta good perk alone wont carry you out of a pinch.
I think for killer its harder because the issue is the time it take for survivor to finish a game so they are kinda force to run slowdown perk unless you drop your mmr enough that you can meme around without worrying about the game to be over after 4 or 5 minute
I didn't say I put on BT against tunneling, but to help out other survivors if they are being camped (hence the "and have something for the camping").
I did escape, I did "win" some matches, I was able to use deception successfully and even power struggle, but I also had games where nothing worked and those games were mostly from a sweat game where they just tunnel you out of the game, no care about the decption, any means, etc.
I did use a power struggle build about a month ago and that went the same way, with me still escaping, but only because I know how to actually play survivor and not my perks giving me value.
And the games where I died and wasn't able to use almost any of the perks was because of A and above Tier killers giving it their all to get that 4k, which can feel ######### a survivor (especially as a solo surv), when you know that DS and BT could have helped in that situation, extending the game and maybe getting a fun deception use.
I guess what I want to say is that, there are games, where if you do not have DS or BT or an exhaust, the game can end for one really quick, regardless of their skill level, making me want to use BT/DS and such in every game, just for that not to happen, for the sake of me and my teammates, but that goes against what I want to do: try out new perks all together and not have DS/BT for once.
I guess I have to apologize to you all for talking so much nonsense. I just feel a little shaken up after trying out new perks, just to be met with insults and not having a lot of fun moments with these perks, since the killer or survivor just want to sweat the game out quickly and move on.

Nah I just find it absolutely hilarious that you get triggered by text written by strangers when you fully know it can go badly for you yet you still read it and get triggered when you could have just pressed continue and start the next match.
It's like you can't stop someone from staring into the abyss and that's funny to me.
That is cause I would expect the community to be grown up and actually not act like literal children over someone trying to use a fun build and not insulting them for it. Again, why even have the chat then if should EVERY TIME click on continue instantly according to what you said.
And I didn't wait and have a long useless conversation with trolls. I read the first thing, see if was an insult, a gg, a question, etc. and then decide if I should move on or stay. If it was an insult, I moved on, but it is still enough to kill the mood.
Sorry that I expect people to not insult me for trying something different and not use the ye old bt, ds, coh, dh build :P

I like the implication that you got killed a minute into the game and stayed until end game chat just to get triggered by text written by strangers end game lol.
Why is it now wrong to watch those matches till the end? I want to see how these games play out still, since sometimes, fun stuff can happen to teammates. Then why have the end game chat at all if I shouldn't care about it, since it is from "strangers" anyway?

Are sure it is cause of imbalance? Cause I played a few survivor matches yesterday and all of them were with a waiting time of around 20 seconds.
There are other variables as well that determine the waiting time like MMR, time you are playing at and your location.
What I noticed is that from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. all my survivor queues are, like I mentioned, around 20 seconds, but at night it goes up to 2 minutes.
