Has anyone been seeing more M1 killers since the SB nerf?
I've been seeing a lot of Jasons, Ghouls, Judgements, and Blights. No Trappers, no Pigs, no Wraiths. Wow turns out nerfing survivors instead of buffing weaker killers backfired. Who could have seen that coming.

sb isnt the sole reason other killers are weaker. this post doesnt make much logical sense.
Why would you see more m1 killers after a basic balance change to an unrelated survivor perk…?
Because apparently SB was one of the reasons M1 killers weren't viable. Turns out everyone just wants to play with the overpowered killers.
Sure, but that's not why Sprint Burst was nerfed.
The perk was just too good, generally. It was too good against the weakest killers all the way up to some of the stronger killers, only a handful really got to ignore it.
SB is one of the reasons M1 killers are unpopular. The other one is, well, they're weaker than strong M2 killers in general. The SB nerf just brings them a little closer. It probably results in a few more games of M1 killers for you in a week, but not a whole lot more.
Pretty sure some of those are not m1s, but i see most of the killers most of the time.
Blight is an m2, same with jason.
Weird, people said that M1-Killers suffer because of Sprint Burst. Now Sprint Burst is irrelevant and all people still play their A- or S-Tier Killers.
But maybe you just misunderstood something on purpose again.
I don't want to be too rude here, but you know the actual reasons for things getting changed in the game aren't always one to one with random posts from internet complainers, right?
People say all kinds of things, that isn't evidence against or in favour of why any given change happened.
you know pallet density makes it harder for people to play m1 killers right?
Pretty high. M1-Killer is honestly only a buzzword, they throw it in to demand Nerfs, but nobody will suddenly start playing Bubba again if they have access to Blight, Ghoul, Jason, Dracula, Nurse, etc… There are so many strong Killers in the game and some of them even very simple to play, there is no need to play any M1-Killer, unless you really like the gameplay.
It's not even the SB nerf making them more viable, its celestial witness + STBFL lol
There's only 2 S tier killers which is blight and nurse which are hard to play as so not that many people play them so I don't think there's a high amount "of killer community who only play S tier" and they are unlikely to complain about this.
I've been seeing a few yeah. Like I've seen an equal amounts of Trapper to Judgement and more Pigs than Judgment. I saw a Freddy trying Celestial Witness.
When I havent been playing Judgment I've been trying out Celestial Witness+ Save The Best For Last combo myself. It's just the combo my m1 Krasue needed.
People play the killers they like, it's not always about strength and I don't think the percentage is that high, it was genuinely so unfair playing a killer with no mobility or a 4.4 killer and have a survivor get away for holding 2 buttons with no brain needed.
Doesn't matter that it's simple to play them, there's still things to get better on them and all killers have counter, if the person is bad at the game and plays a low skill killer then it's still easy to win against them.
Or they like the licence.
I mainly play m1 killers have about a 60/40 ratio on killer/survivor so hopefully this isn't considered bias.
Sprint Burst is still an amazing perk! It just no longer rewards you for doing nothing, I feel like after the nerf I saw a lot of the players who don't know how to use it properly stopped running it yet I still see people who are really good at the game get tons of value during my killer games. I myself have been running it with fixated and its still very strong, you just have to think a little more rather than a stealth killer sneaking up on you and getting 15s of distance.
I definitely don't think this perk got nerfed because of m1 killers, moreso because it is widely regarded as a top 3 perk if not the best perk in the game and eventually we should want to get to a point where all meta perks are no longer game breaking. So its a welcome change for me.
Plus there's still the skill required of 99ing a Sprint Burst mid chase, and you get plenty of value from that.
Edit: yes I see more m1 killers.
Sprint Burst was just part of the reason people don't really flock to M1 killers. Gen speeds, general survivor strength, map strength and pallet density and some other exhaustion perks are all contributing factors. Sprint Burst provided way too much value and ease of use for no downside other than not being able to stack exhaustion perks and Iron Will.
Killers won't suddenly be playing more Trapper grade characters now that SB has been nuked, just like Survivors won't be running crappy perks Cut Loose or Visionary. Players that want to win will always gravitate to the strongest stuff in the game. Now that SB is in the gutter, that's probably Lithe or Balanced Landing.
All the SB nerf did imo, was to make the perk substantially worse for most Survivors for no benefit to Killer at all. Most M1 Killers are still gonna be stuck in low MMR where their baby Meg will use SB to run into a dead zone and die immediately, anyway.
Oh well, at least we've still got on demand old school SB in 2V8. I'll be playing less Scout and more Escapist this time around just to get that old SB experience again.
There's literally only 2 S tier killers, look at any tier list and only blight + nurse is S tier (very rarely hillbilly as well, sometimes blight is in A tier because of the nerf), S tier means killers that are considered to be in S tier in a tier list. Ig anything that's stronger than balanced is S tier for you.
Nurse and blight are considered hard, playing on skill floor is different from actually being good at those killers and they're S tier only if the person is good at them, the skill gap is enormous between a skillful player and someone who can play them, there are killers much more popular killers than them.
Ig you just hate people having an opinion, I think your opinion is wrong and you think my opinion is wrong. One perk getting nerfed is not supposed to make people play some killers more, if they have a main they will play their main.
Okay you can disagree with people. But straight up saying something here is a lie.
Nurse is hard, if aura made her suddenly easier then in all honesty every aura perk would be nerfed immediately.
The average player is not you. Most players agree that nurse is not easy, and hard to express proper skill on.
Saying you find them not hard is different. But the average player picking up nurse won't suddenly become great by just applying aura perks on her.
I said the nurse part. Blight is not my target as honestly he is the easier of the two to master
I'm a bit late to the convo but ive actually been playing a lot of M1 killers after the SB nerf. To be exact - trapper, wraith, and Knight
i do love the combo ngl - using celestial + STBFL - makes M1 killers just more fun to play. Throw in Hex: NBM - and theyre 1/2 decent.
Still, I sincerely doubt I can ever manage to get any of my M1's to the same Kill Rate as my Dracula or my Nemesis - but M1's are generally more fun *most of the time
Does not equal "I don't find the nurse hard when I bring aura perks"
somehow i didnt even think of STBFL with that perk… Played a clown game with it right after reading this and it was pretty great
Tbf Ghoul is partially an m1 killer because the second hit has to be an m1. Tbh I don't think you meant m1 killers because plenty of m1 killers are very strong like Singularity, Spirit, and to a lesser extent Clown.
I think what you meant was weaker killers and it's kinda silly to think nerfing one perk would make them viable.
Can't say SB has ever been a reason for me to stop playing m1 killers. My 3 mains were alredy m2s with the exception of skull merchant. Which i occasionally still play her, would play her more if it weren't for the stealth activation change, it just feels more tedious for me as thats what i primarily played her for.
I honestly forgot sprint burst was nerfed lol
We shouldn't be ignoring the skill ceiling just because of casual players, that's not a good faith arguement.
What even is an M1 killer at this point.
Sadako for sure, but what about Doctor or Freddy? Are these your regular basic M1 killers on the level of Sadako or Pig or Ghostie?
Either way I am not playing a D tier M1 killer with no anti-loop with pallet density and bugged m1 lunges.
I can get down with Nurse on this a bit with muscle memory but l'm sorry Blight is not hard to play lol.
