Momo winstreak lost at 1992

I think it's a good thing.

Winning so many matches in a row should never be possible.

I hope that blight gets nerf really soon.

I am playing mostly blight lately and I believe that this killer is too strong.

Same! I've never felt so incredibly helpless in helping my teammates.

Closest game I had, I was with my friends on RPD, and I was the chosen to be tunneled out first. The map is what helped us mostly, but still, never felt like such a weak link in my entire life.

I was the chosen on one of mine too, and was immediately deleted from the match. The other I managed longer but it was solely becuase it was Trickster's Delsuion, and he had three of us slugged at one point. The fourth guy playing it right was the only thing that kept the match going. I'm actually glad I was solo. I wouldn't have wanted to watch my friends get mowed down too. It's not as though there would have been a single chance of success anyway.

I mean isnt that his third close attempt? So i doubt Blight will get changed bc of it. Would be nice though.

On the other hand it shows that while its impossible for almost 8k people, top tier survivor can beat it (dont know how good the map was). So we also need matchmaking changes bc its pointless to play almost only matches where players are not equally skilled.

Not just this. Everytime time comp survs team together against Momo he loses with 3 to 4 man out. When its comp killer vs comp surv on the same level, the Swf takes advantage. The issues is that there are very few survivors who can compete on the same level as Momo playing Blight.

Too bad it needs almost 1900 matches to get one where the odds are more even for both sides.

Did you see Note match history? How his team was able to 4 man out 10 times in a row against every type of killer, even Nurse and others Blights? It more about comp vs casual than killer vs surv

We shouldn't be balancing a killer around what 1 player has accomplished with them. BHVR put out their stats last week and Blight wasn't even in the top 5 killers for Kill Rate in both High MMR and Broad MMR. This is very likely why blight gets passed over for changes. He's simply not overperforming according to their own stats.

Stats aren't everything though, in fact they can often be misleading. Everyone knows that Nurse has been the strongest killer in the game (or at least tied with Blight) for years, and yet she has a low kill rate because many new players try her and don't understand how her power works. The same can be said with Blight. That's not an excuse to leave these characters in their current state. No killer should be able to win nearly 2,000 matches in a row, even if they're hard to master.

While that is true, I feel like even Behavior has to know by now how strong Blight is. I think the real reason they don't give him any significant nerfs is because then it would just be Nurse in S tier, which would then even further highlight how strong SWF's can be. Nerfing Blight would cause a chain reaction that would invoke many more balance changes across the board, which would be a lot of work for Behavior that they don't feel like doing.

The stats are borderline useless. Unless something changed with this batch, any match with a DC is excluded from publicly released numbers. So imagine how many Blight, Nurse, and Ghoul matches were cut from the data. Consider just how many people probably DC from Momo's matches alone when he hard tunnels them at 5 gens.

I said the stats are cherry-picked data and thus not reliable. DCs in my killer matches happen when I'm absolutely going to win. If it's that way in most people's matches as well, then thousands and thousands of matches (that would almost all be killer wins) are missing from that information.

But yeah, they should consider DCs when making changes. If someone being hard tunneled DCs 35% of the time, or 18% of people DC against a Ghoul immediately, that's a huge indicator of player discontent, and discontent is important. There's no other way for people to show their displeasure at something in-game. It's not just about numbers. People won't play a game they find unenjoyable, no matter how perfect the numbers are.

Blight has been S-tier for like 6 years it would not ruin him if he was nerfed down to low A to B Tier

Blight wont be nerfed down as you think because he has huge support compare to many other killers, look at wesker he got trashed into pile of duck waste and there sint that huge support, just imagine blight if he would get some nerfs people would go mad.

Personaly I dont think blight needs massive nerfs just decreased his base speed to 110% and loose 2 tokes of his rush power when he breaks pallet with breaking animation (he loosees them when he breaks them with his m2 so no need to nerf his m2 more and 110% killers need strong powers), with these changes he would be still solid strong killer and more balanced so that person that plays him needs to know his power and cant just be very opressive with walking someone down with 115% speed.

  • @100PercentBPMain said:

ghoul is more balanced than this joke of a character. I don't care how much skill goes into blight.

Tbh he is especialy now like ghoul injures you faster compare to blight but he cant down you directly with his power and he lost his hit when vaulting with leap and survivors can vault into him so there is totaly clear counterplay that people can use so no more siruations where you camp pallet and you drop it and he vaulted and get you now you can just vault through him if you have some decent skill against him on timing (its deffinitely esier than know timing about bubbas tantrum end when you are in locker).

Blight can use his power to outplay loops way more than ghoul and mostly ghoul can cut you off or get close but he has time window where he cant down you so you can like make it back to pallet/window but blight if he doesnt miss his dash you are dead and his speed is superior.

Ghoul cant break palletr and instatly down you with his leaps or catch up there is some time because he looses part of his tokens but blight can absolutely do it and is probably best in it due to number of his dashes.

Ghoul is still strong but he is actualy weaker and has counterplay in revaulting into him where killer cant do nothing about it plus his hitbox on enviroment is now smaller so he can miss survivors more because he can aim more close to them and not triger their hitbox which is good thing for better ghoul players and worse for average ones that have worse time getting hits.

Blightis harder than ghoul but once you match him he in super strong, I know many will hate me for writing this and downvote it but its truth.

Yeah I don't get why this broken character still exists. Blight getting nerfed (and I mean an ACTUAL nerf rather than the slap on the wrists they keep giving him) has been so overdue.

  • blight needs to be 4.4 movement speed and he should not be able to stack speed addons, so speed stacks will be auto cancelled on him, and he should lose all of his tokens when he break pallets, this way blight will truly be skillful killer. and he wont be too much bs to deal with.

Are you saying that because his team was able to 4 man out 10 times, that therefore his couple thousand win streaks don’t actually matter? Wouldn’t it make more sense if SWF also had several thousand win steaks to be able to compare like this? If this sounds snarky it’s not meant to, tone can be hard to relay in text format. I'm just saying that players on that level can stomp most of other players. And when they go against each other they have a hard time. Probably if we get their match history as survivors there will be dozen or maybe hundred of wins due to how imbalanced the MMR is.

Invictus was running a winstreak with hundreds of wins as survivor, as Tofu SWF also did. We very good players get to get or master the top 2 killers in this game there is not much other players can do.

Blight should be 4,4 m/s speed base you wanna know why?

Best mobility on command but unlike ghoul he can injure you from it and down you plus he can play and outplay loops with it way more than kaneki, his power is stronger than spirits and has shorter cooldown by 5 seconds comparing 10 seconds power cooldown to 15 seonds cooldown power when the shorter one is stronger and faster so thats to his speed change with so good power still vast majority from his injures and downs come from use of his power than m1 so this wont hurt people playing him that much in skill and effort they had to put in him.

Second change I would make to blight is for him to loose 2 tokens after breaking pallet again why? Breaking pallet with rushes takes two one for unlocking ability to cause damage or break on second so now it will be even and I dont think it should be more charges/tokens because if you have 4,4 speed killer than you cant take away his power when survivor will just predrop and he will break and will be slower speed than regular m1 killer so 2 tokens is good number 4 seconds of recharge time + time (few seconds) of breaking action or power animation end after doing it with power.

Ofcourse I think it should be test first than applying good old devs Nerfhammer tactic here where they smash something (mostly killer) with so hard nerf that he becomes total mess to paly as like they did with skullmerchant, pig in the poast and many other characters or some perks, addons Im more for proper testing and I believe this will be achieved on blight who is by far the most Golden child in this game and devs were always super easy with his changes (nerfs we speak here).

For people thinking his power will be strong than yeah thats the point of the killer being 4,4 m/s or even slower than survivor speed aka the nurse like if you take killers ability (movement speed) that helps him in chase and map mobility than you must give him a good power to secure his chase potencial, good exsample is like spirit and henry (vecna for younger generations but for D&D fans just a imitation).

Addons are thing too but if you touh fim in this way like this than its better to wait if it will work and than adjust addons than spam good old bhvr Nerfhammer and cause "nerf pig" moment again, isnt it?

I think making him 4,4 m/s and also lose tokens on pallet break would be overkill.

I said losing tokens on pallet break would be good, but kinda for different reason. My issue is that's kinda Blight's easy way to play him. Break pallet (especially with Brutal strength) and rush after survivor, I don't like that. It's simply too effective for how easy it is (like Ghoul).
Such change would be enough to force Blight players to use his power more. It's kinda like, you can as well use your tokens to mindgame, when you will lose them anyway on pallet break.

Just make him lose 2-3 tokens on manual pallet break and rework one, or both of his speed addons. That's easy and safe change.
4,4 m/s would result in another balancing nightmare.

Just reworking his speed addons would be good start, because there is big difference between double speed Blight and base speed Blight.

A friend of mine, who plays blight, says he should be 4.4m/s and i agree. But i also think his speed addons should be partially basekit (maybe 2 or 3% per rush) and then reworked into another thing.

With this in mind, blight could also lose some tokens after breaking a pallet to prevent the Break → Insta Rush situation

I can see one or the other. Both combined would feel really bad imo. I personally would rather see token loss.
4,4 m/s in mind that his rush speed would be equal or higher to current version.

Thing is making him lose tokens on pallet break while being 4,4 m/s would make him very frustrating to play as in my opinion. His power is not very good at short loops, where survivor can run around it quickly, which is also something where you can abuse 4,4 m/s killers a lot.
So you will have to brute force those loops and even after survivor drops pallet and you break it, you still can't use your power to catch up, which will give survivor time to reach possibly exactly same loop.

I think this is a good demonstration of just how common super coordinated teams that use voice comms, synergize perks, play sweaty, etc. really are. To hear some on the forum complaining about survivors you'd think they were going up against seal team six who blow through gens in seconds every other match, not every couple thousand matches.

Matchmaking is only part of the issue. I was put against momo twice in the last couple weeks, in both i was solo, and I am an extremely mid survivor. Like, I don't even have a good grip on pathing and utilizing tile layouts. I'm positive the criteria to be matched with him is being on the same server at the same times and getting a bad dice role. That or MMR is so incredibly bad at judging quality that it genuinely thinks my potato self belongs in the same bracket as this guy.

BUT there are teams who actively try to get matched with him. They spend all night in the queues stream sniping until they land him, and they still lose. He finally got beat by pro players who personally knew him, knew his build, knew how he played, and used comms to counter him. It took that level of planning and intention to stop him for just one match. That's how busted not only Blight is, but tunneling and slugging, since those are his primary methods.

Of course they should. It should obviously not be the deciding factor, but it should be taken into account. A good example for that was OG Legion - weak Killer overall, yet one of the most hated (Ghoul took the throne, so only "one of the most hated"). Based on strength alone there was no need to change Legion. But since they were incredible unfun to play against, changes happened.

If there would be a map where Killers would DC all the time, we would also see changes to this map. And rightfully so, since this is a game after all and both sides should have fun. If one side DCs often, it needs to be looked into why it is. Because, even if some people want to claim that, people DCing usually have a reason for it and are not only salty crybabies.

They are too strong and we all know it. They are much stronger than 80% of the roster.

Exactly. And it is sad that BHVR is refusing to do actual meaningful changes to them, most likely in fear of backlash. Because Ghoul and Blight are some of the favorite Killers of the playerbase (plus Blight seems to be BHVRs golden child, considering how ignored his strength is…). And Nurse is very hard to nerf, even tho you can do some things. But those are no excuses why basically every other Killer gets Nerfs and those three not. We had a full list of changes to Trickster, including some Nerfs and while I dont think that those Nerfs were a bad thing (since he got buffed in other aspects), it is honestly a Joke to think about nerfing ANY Killer when Nurse, Blight and Ghoul can exist as they are.

    For Nurse:

    • Movement Speed Reduction. Yes, she is already slower than a Survivor, but I think she should be a bit slower than she currently is. Because currently, if you make a Nurse miss their Blinks, you dont really get much distance while she is walking after you while recharging.
    • Reducing Cooldown on her Power so that she recharges her Blinks faster. This would incentivize to use the Blinks more often instead of walking down Survivors and using them when basically super safe. Would make it also less punishing for players to learn her, since you can try out her power more with less downside for missing a Blink.
    • Changing her Add Ons, you basically see Mangled and Lunge Duration all the time. I think especially the Mangled Add On is super dumb, since her synergy with Sloppy Butcher was removed, just to give her an Add On which does basically the same. And since an Add On is less of an investment than a Perk, she basically got buffed with that. Obviously other Add Ons should be buffed or made more useful to compensate for the Nerf of her most used Add Ons.

    For Blight:

    • He should be 4,4 m/s. Yes, this means that he will suck at some Loops where he cannot use his power. And this is completely fine IMO. One of the worst things about facing Blight is that he just is a M1-Killer without disadvantage if there is one of the few Loops where his power does not really work. And to be honest, there are other Killers who also have trouble with Loops and become M1-Killers, even if they have reduced Movement Speed.
    • He should lose Tokens when breaking Pallets. That Ghoul has this and not Blight is baffling. No idea how many Tokens he should use, but if you rushed and then do a Pallet Break, you usually have your Rushes back before or shortly after the Pallet is broken.
    • Speed Add-Ons should be nerfed but made Basekit (partially). This would make them weaker to use, but it would make Rushes better, which is fine IMO, especially if he gets two quite big Nerfs. Other Add Ons should also be looked at and buffed, because you basically only see Double Speed-Blight nowadays.

For both Killers those are reasonable changes. Yet BHVR refuses to do anything, simply because those are popular Killers and people keep on claiming that you need to keep those Killers in their current state, because otherwise Killers would not win against the best Survivors. So we keep Killers broken for Survivor Teams the Killer players will not encounter in 99,99% of the time. And what is the result? A person having almost 6.000 games full of 4Ks, while losing 3 times…

Lich's counterplay is: crouch against the skeletons unless he has the iri, then just dodge between them, also there is an item to see them, also also don't vault because he can guarantee hits this way.…

    See the difference?

Plus, Blight is quite difficult to pick up, not denying that one. Which means new players pick him up, expecting easy wins, and fail because they don't know how to use him.

Using stats as a reason to nerf/buff/change things is the worst way of balancing the game. If we would go by stats, Nurse would be buffed and Freddy would get nerfs.

LOL B-tier is over nerfing apparently meanwhile D tier killers would dream of reaching b tier all these convos with you cannot be Fr my guy

I think we need to take into account the difficulty of the killer and I believe Blight to be either one of, or the most difficult killer in DBD. Making him 4,4 m/s would give him that spot for sure…

Simple killers to play just can't be high tier, often kinda by default with design of their power (lack of mobility), but it also creates situation, where effectivness don't match difficulty, which is an issue in my opinion.
We have seen it with many killers in past, latest was probably buffed Clown. It was annoying to play against him, yet he was still worse than Nurse/Blight.

Same is when you have highly difficult killer with low effectiveness. We had this with overheat Billy. He was simply not worth put time into learning him.
I believe difficult killers should be strong, so player gets rewarded in putting effort into them.

Why would I put hundreds of hours into a killer just to get mediocre results, that doesn't make sense.

  • That whole "win"streak is nothing but crickets chirping. Unimpressive.

Let's put him against 10 different teams of four players each, who have no perk restrictions and can be on comms, and see if he can get 10 consecutive wins. In a custom game setting, of course.

    Then I"ll be decently impressed.
