BHVR WE ARE NOT

YOUR BETA TESTERS !

We are players that have bought the game and we deserve quality. PTB is the platform where you can test your new features but the normal game should never be considered as a test playground.

We have paid the game, the full game to play it and enjoy it. So we deserve a few things :

  • that you listen to the community when we tell you something, but seeing the state of the game you don't listen much...
  • that everything works fine when you release a patch or a new feature
  • that you don't change our game experience with your tests

Hire Beta tester as developers were doing 20 years ago or use your PTB.

Your comment, which I replied to as the 2nd one down. Read the EULA of the game and a lot of things will become clearer.

It's actually true for a lot of things in life; if you actually use your eyeballs and read things become much clearer.

i suppose the eula is gonna say something about them having the right of doing that bla bla bla, it doesnt mean that is the correct thing to do, it is still just the product of lazy devs, plain and simple

Why exactly did you pay for the game though? Also the Game is even with the current matchmaking test in a perfectly playable condition... it’s not like matchmaking worked great when it’s rank based..

cause i was expecting a actuall fixed game, honestly, mmr being tested is the last of this game problems, dont tell me you forgot the twins chapter ? lmao, ppl that defend bhvr are into some heavy copium, holy #########

Every game has bugs. This is an unavoidable fact, and the foundation that DBD is built on makes it buggier than most.

that you don't change our game experience with your tests

It's a live game and, if you read the EULA (End User License Agreement) that you agreed to in order to play this game and must abide by the terms of to continue playing, you'd know that they can do or change whatever they want, whenever they want, as they see fit.

btw, "read the EULA" is that really the beach you wanna die ? LMFAOO as i said, the copium is real...

Comprehension though is an entirely different skill.

Sadly it seems (from my experience) most of the human race lack this.

  • But we all know good and well that PTBs aren't used for feedback, they're just a joke between the devs to watch us complain about stuff they already know they won't change no matter what we say

I don't know if it's my 1am brain after not sleeping properly for a month or your English just isn't great but I'm not entirely sure on what you mean so I'll try and interpret it in one of two ways:

Now either you're asking me if this is the hill I want to die on in which case, yes.

Or you're asking me if this is the beach I want to dye in which case, have you been to the Isle of Wight?! The coloured sand there is so cool so yes, I'd love to dye the entire beach.

Yeah and if you play the game you agree to it. If you don't like it then don't play the game, it's really not that deep.

In fact, it's about as deep as a paddling pool.

    In a drought.

    With a hose water ban.

    That hasn't been inflated.

And is buried in a hill.

    That someone is dying on.

I mean your method (of blindly agreeing to stuff without asking what you are agreeing to, then whining about it later) probably has some merit as well, not one I can see, but there has to be something beyond just stubbornness, right?

This western world society is pure madness.

Ppl are now fine testing things for companies without being paid.

Do you know htat beta tester was a job some years ago ?

And now you beta test things for the developers while it's you who have paid the game lol...

When the game is free, you can't say much and accept, but you have bought Dbd...

BHVR apologists are all over the community. People still consider it to be a "wittle innowcent indie compwany uwu" when it's obvious BHVR is taking a more corporate approach to DBD now. Can't wait until an actual competitor comes along so they have to actually try.

I'm so sorry you are being forced to play this game that you obviously do not enjoy playing. I mean you must be forced because you have not once said or even remotely implied that you enjoy playing it - which seems silly to willingly engage in an activity that you dislike so much.

You know what I wish they would do to improve DBD player experiences - create an ignore feature on these forums so I never have to see whiny posts by people who are forced to play this game...like you. Eyeroll.

But hey if you all agree to be sheeps, continue to do so.

So what, do you want to take over bhvr so they can do whatever you want? They test something that is impossible to test in the ptb, so the logical solution is to test it on the live servers. Because it might be annoying they decided the test will last 24 hours. If you don't like playing with the new sbm, then don't play for a day

Unfortunately, you haven't had enough hours into dbd to understand. Let me explain something, while I do agree there game is in a bad state, if the developers listen to us, it'll be in a worse state. An asymmetric horror game is a 1v4 game, that mean there are four times more survivors that killer. It's not exactly four times more, maybe just two times. What I'm trying to say is there are more survivors than killers which would destroy the game.

The point where the OP doesn't understand what a beta tester is, or the part where a lot of you want to pretend that every other online game has perfect matchmaking that they've never experimented with while the game was live? Condescension does not a point make, if you don't like the game, either due to updates or any other reason, then just stop playing. Y'all act like you are being forced to participate, it's sad really.

I read it. It really isn't difficult. Most EULA will be broken into multiple sections (what you agree to, what the company agrees to, and an arbitration or other dispute agreement) just like a lease for rental property (which you should also always read) or cellphone agreement. Games are obviously way less important than either of those two examples, but it is still a good idea to read first. Refusing to read the agreement because you think nobody else does is absolutely stupid.

Why would you agree to something without knowing what you agreed to? Hell the main reason I don't use apple is that they can sue you or make your software stop working if you try to install the same sw on two different pieces of hardware. That's in the EULA for every piece of apple software. The iTunes EULA specifically states that they can remove music from the service at any time, and are not required to keep it available for those who actually purchased it or compensate them in any way. So you can buy an album, see it disappear from your library, and have no recourse because you already agreed that could happen.

    Get it?

Yes, the matchmaking in other online games is clearly way better than the one you get in DbD even though they often use the ELO system for team based matchmaking which cannot work as ELO is designed for 1v1.

A BETA tester is someone in charge to test a product before its release. So when you are on the PTB testing the next DLC, you are a beta tester.

And when you are testing new unfinished features on the live servers, you are also a beta tester.

So if you like being someone paying for games and ending up by playing an unfinished game for years because BHVR is constantly bringing new things ant at the same time breaking other things, be it but you can't come here and tell everyone who disagree to continue to be sheeps and accept it or to stop to play the game.

Not really... what i see on this forum is that killers voice is much much more present and in 4 years on DbD, developers have listened the killers way more than the survivors to a point where the real kill rate is around 85% atm (check the statistic thread from the guy who has played 500 trials).

Yes let's test the new matchmaking on a sample size that's probably not even a tenth of a percent of the total.

PTB maybe ? 4 years they are talking about this new matchmaking, it will never happen, do you understand this ? You want to know why ? Because they don't know how to evaluate a good survivor or killer.

A killer tunnelnig and camping getting 4k against soloQ survivors will be considered a great player.

A soloQ survivor tunneled during the 5 gens to death that couldn't do anything but running, getting 10k will be considered a bad survivor.

No one plays normal on the PTB. People disconnect, when they don´t get matched against the new killer or when they are not on the new map (when there is one). You would get a ton of useless data, which would result in a faulty MMR on release.

Would you honestly prefer, that they just launched the MMR without testing it?

So you think the best way to test a crossplay matchmaking system is to do so on an environment that is PC only? That is actually funnier than anything else you've said so far, except when you call someone a sheep, that always makes me giggle, as it's good to see some slang is still in highschools across the world decades after it started.

As someone who used to be an angsty teen and has friends who are still angsty teens we are nowhere near as bad as the Oldies yelling at clouds

When weak ppl are trying to mirror their life problems on others... sad really.

When the killer camps and tunnels and gets a 4K they either played strategically well or the survivors they were matched against played bad. The hidden rank will not be evaluated just by one single match and chances are they get matched against enough SWFs so I don’t know why you would even bring soloQ into this..

and a soloQ survivor that gets tunneled but keeps the killer busy for 5 gens won’t just get a bad score just because they die in the end. Why would you even assume that? that’s pretty much the old rank you are describing here..

Think a little bit outside the box. You are pretty much assuming the hidden score will solely be based on kills/deaths or even BP or old rank and nothing more..

Yet here you are, still continuing to do so.

    1 country ? LOL

You are smooth man, as most of the guys on this forum, totally brainwashed and impossible to think out of the box. The society, company or whatever tells you to think their way and that's what you are doing without thinking by yourself.

You are a sheep. That's all.

    A sheep? No.

    Cow? More like it.

Coming from me this is unbelievably ironic but please, grow up
