Since they added base kit bt, and the little speed boost, after unhook. The unhooked survivir tends to block fo their savior who is usually full health. I know some people dont like that fact and I di think its a bit odd and an unintended consequence of attemting antitunneling mechanics. Recently, Furtive Chase was buffed with the terror radius decrease, which did nothing. The devs realized this and CHANGED the perk immediately after the PTB. They announced it very recently. This is weird. I’m saying it’s weird because I distinctly remember the devs saying they have to expend a lotta time and resources to properly research, design, and look into perks, addons, and the like. Instead of showing the aura of the generator being repaired, why doesn't it just show the survivor, who is repairing the generator, their aura to all survivors? I guess the face of the perk is to make struggling more effective against the killer. But with a handful of maps what would be "difficult" becomes impossible. Especially with combined builds, forcing a death on the only hook in one corner of a map, or just bad map design in general inflated by map offerings being played(midwich and badham). I play at SEA region, if you play as solo survivor you will meet with a lot of player still using self care. Usually they pair with BotanyKnowledge because they realised SelfCare is too slow. The last time the player count was lower was in February of 2020. Obviously this doesn't mean the game is dead but it likely indicates a trend in the wrong direction. One year ago the game had an average of 38k players in September. This year the game had an average of 30k players in September. A MASSIVE decrease. My opinion is to keep the 4 bear traps (max amount) and have them activate for more reasons such as exit gates, waiting too long take of bear trap (like in the movies) , have adons for other smaller things like cleaning totems or failing to get the key from a jigsaw box. She is another killer I can't understand the counter to since one if I remain infected it means I'm permanently injured and make more noise. So why not use the pools well she then gets her power to injure survivors.
