How is toxicity a matter of opinion? Doesn't that make it a moot point and distort its definition into "something I personally dislike"?
Use this post as a prime example, some think it is some think it isn’t. Simple as that

You didn't answer the question.
I answered two of the three questions actually. I straight out said it’s not something you can be banned for and that it is not holding the game hostage if you try to down everyone then hook them. As for if it’s toxic, that is a matter of opinion and my opinion is it’s not. so now you have all 3 answers. I apologize if you are illiterate and hopefully using this forum will help you with basic reading comprehension. I personally do not run slug builds although I’ve seen streamers do it plenty and have thought about it because it becomes a new challenge in a sense for killers and survivors but I haven’t played much killer lately and when I do I’m just trying to get the last 3 adept trophies I need w the 3 newest killers. I Don’t see slug builds often as a survivor and enjoy it when I do because it’s kinda rare.

After having a losing streak as killer and seeing many survivors with BT/DS/Deliverance etc, I realized that these are all perks that revolve around the hooking mechanic. Knowing this, I decided to never hook survivors until everyone is slugged and/or have the survivors die from bleeding out, because those perks would never work unless I hook them. I started to see more success in my games, but after matches, survivors would start to call me toxic for not hooking them and keeping them slugged the entire match, and it was my "responsibility" to make the game fun.
Although I've been winning more matches for not hooking all survivors until they are all slugged, am I a toxic killer for doing this strategy? Is this a bannable/keeping the game hostage?
Perks I run:
- Hex Undying
- Hex Ruin
- Hex Haunted Ground / Deathbound
- Deerstalker
Truth is there are builds people use that that mainly focus on trying to slug everyone and win the match as fast as possible. Your perfectly fine don’t listen to the hater survivors most of them are 10x more toxic than this. you should be running better perks for what your trying to do. The plague perk that makes people scream nearby when you knock someone and the that makes survivors not able to see each other when they are down are very necessary. Trust me most survivors are salty no matter what you do as a killer if they die. I’d even recommend noed If your not running a one shot killer. I play more survivor than killer but don’t have a preference and it’s not something you can be banned for at all. Your not holding the game hostage your trying to knock them all and then sacrifice. Also rank is basically 100 percent meaningless in this game.

What you need to do is some research... Rank is no longer how they match make.... Rank is nothing but a cosmetic number to make you feel good and give you a simple goal to obtain.
Match making is now done in the background. As you play you gain and lose points for the good and bad things you do. This point system is what is now used for matchmaking. So you will be matched up with other players at or around your current skill level. This could be a rank 20 or a rank one.... It all is based off how you perform in the actual game... The more you play the better your matchmaking will be. You do not have access to see what your matchmaking ranking is so just play the best you can.
I don’t buy that for a second. If that’s the case everyone’s rank 20 skill wise lol

This is a good example of how bad the Killer emblem system is. You play well and your score shows it yet according to the game you didn't even meet the requirement to get a pip. I think what irritates me more about this bad emblem system is i can guarantee the player on 20k pipped and the player on 13k most likely black pipped.
Essentially the game is telling me i played roughly the same as that bottom player which is insane due to the drastic score difference. 1,900 score away from the max and to be honest if i did get that the game might have barely just given me a pip.
This is why Killers slug for the 4k, because it is potential their rank up can be easily robbed from them. If the devs fixed the emblem system so it's fair Killers wouldn't need to slug for the 4k
I only slug for the 4K when the team has attempted to troll me with sabs and or flashlights and usually it’s me looking for someone specifically doing one of those things. Or if I’m doing a challenge. I find more fun seeing who can find the hatch first and don’t really care about 1 getting out. Also the rankings are 100% meaningless. They don’t matter at all, no rewards and matchmaking is random af anyways. Idk why it’s so hard to give us some shards or auric cells based on our ranks every month and give us a reason for doing it. I’ve been red ranks on killer and survivor multiple times but it never feels rewarding whatsoever.

I know it sounds like I'm whining, but how is this actually fair? How am I supposed to improve when I get stomped on as killer all of the time. I could either wait in lobby as a survivor for 10 mins to find a game that goes terrible, or instantly find a game as killer against red rank/rank 1 survivors? I genuinely would like some advice in how to improve, other than just "get good" as I've played this game for 3 years and this has always happened to me
Camp, tunnel, Mori, NOED. Your welcome. Easy Kills. Survivors are going to be salty when they die regardless so you don’t need to handicap yourself and play by their rules. Their rules are designed to get easy 0k games. I gave up on being nice and friendly to ungrateful survivors that just talk trash even when you don’t do or run those things. I play a lot of survivor too and never cry about being killed at all. I’m a red rank survivor and most of the games that don’t have people doing or using those 4 things don’t get many kills if any and that’s a fact. I very rarely die if I’m not tunneled, moried, camped, and or hit with noed

One of the major reasons why killer is so imbalanced and weak is because of lack of a clear defined objective. Devs have stated that they supposedly try to balance for 2ks, but it's very easy to depip even with a 3k as shown below
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/303/BQ4IPBOJKYJN.jpg
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/801/F8Q0O42OVC38.jpg
If survivors' main objective is to do gens and escape and those award the most points and are the easiest way to pip, why is killing survivors not the main objective of the killer since the point system and the pip system does not reflect that?
Now you may bring up the point of hooking players and people suiciding on hook / dying on 1 hook, but that's the thing, the supposed point of the killer is to kill, and the devs have stated they're aiming for a 2k average, the point system and the pip system for killers does not reflect this at all.
Judging by the way the point system is set up for killer currently, the current objective for killers is to chase survivors, not kill them. I believe this is the main issue killers have, the devs have told the community that the objective of the killer is to kill, but they have balanced the game around the killer chasing survivors, not killing them.
I don’t even know why people care about rank at all, it’s so meaningless in this game. Absolutely no rewards and it doesn’t matter at all with matchmaking

End game screen confirmed I recieved twenty iridescent emblems and too many shards to count. Afterwards, the three other killers and ten survivors (I killed all 13) said, "Hey I really enjoyed watching you kick gens for twenty minutes while we were all picked off, one by one. These are the games I live for. Riveting." Just thought you all should know.

I just share it because I think some of the stuff people say is really funny, irrational, and illogical. It just baffles me sometimes so I share stories every now and then about salty players. It’s ridiculous that 2-3 gens finish after one chase unless the survivor your chasing is terrible and can’t do basic simple easy loops I play both sides and I’m not that great at survivor but even I can loop killers for 2-3 gens sometimes more off one chase. killer is 100 times harder And more frustrating to play. but it's not their fault they got farmed because you obviously were camping if you're able to get back to the hook in time
Sorry but no If a killer hooks someone then turns around to find another survivor instantly and they rush the hook injured and get downed before the unhook, that’s not camping that’s taking care of stupid survivors that want to rush in hurt and not even give the killers chance to walk away. Had the player ran away from the hook guess what? I still would have downed them and hooked them no matter where we were on the map. I actually let the last two leave because I actually feel sorry for the survivors that have to deal with imbeciles that dc and let themselves die early in the game for no real reason. These guys had 3 gens to go and still had a good chance of winning until that bs robbed the other two of any chance of escape

I play both killer and survivor pretty equally and survivor is so much easier and way more fun than killer most of the time. I’m not a toxic jerk either but that’s all I seem to play against as killer. These are the scummy babies that will write you crying when you kill them no matter how you play. It seems like survivors constantly write me crying over the most petty things imaginable. I never get hate messages from killers ever. I’m not even bad at killer but let’s be real as a killer you have to almost always play perfect to have a chance against a decent squad while as a survivor you can make multiple mistakes and not cost your team at all as long as your team is decent. mistakes as a survivor are nowhere near as devastating as simple killer mistakes can be. Over half of my killer games end with 3-4ks but its such a hassle most of the time that I barely enjoy it. As a survivor I survive around half the time but I don’t even care if I die at all, camp me tunnel me idc I won’t write you crying. The devs have tried to balance the game but it’s really hard when all everyone does is cry about everything on both sides. The problem is not a lot of people want to play killer anymore which is why the que times have been worse than ever for survivors until deathslinger came out. I’m sure they will get really bad again soon because at the end of the day killer just isn’t that fun.

This was a badham, They got 4 and a half gens done before I got a down and my power.
I then played out of my mind and barley got 2 dead and regressed all the gens.
Then someone dcd, allowing one to escape and I get a black pip and 2 kills to my record.
This isn't bannable and survivors do it every game.
This can literally guarantee at least 1 escapes almost every game and hasn't been fixed, despite having been brought to attention multiple times.
DC penalties dont fix this as good survivors can do it the once or twice they lose a day.
So please explain to me again how you dont favor survivors?

Survivors have to work hard as hell . The fact that you got that many just says how big of an impact the toolbox rework had. It forces people to work together to get any impactful progress done to the gens. But they didn’t slow down killers at all. You’re complaining about DC’ing and whatnot when you gotta think from a survivors perspective that it can be really rough on them when you combine lag and some of these OP killer abilities that just make it nearly impossible to dodge attacks or get the stun off when you need to. Not to mention these killers have exposed or charged attacks that down in one hit. It’s hard not to DC when you feel you weren’t given a solid chance to play. You complain about something they have to fix so survivors can’t just get stomped out of the game so fast. A lot of the time I’m sitting there thinking I was well through a vault and then I go down, turn the camera behind me the killer is still on the other side of the vault. It’s bs sometimes and yet here you are thinking only of yourself. Each of these 4 survivors are real people too and if it’s not a 4K for these people they get frustrated. 4Ks shouldn’t be happening consistently yet they are for most killers. I love the games concept, but tbh I’d love to see variety in objectives for survivors with the objectives spread out a little bit more. I dislike the fact that generators are so close together and how there are so many things that screw me over while playing it that it’s more often than not just not fun playing survivor. I actually don’t understand why DS isn’t a longer stun particularly because 5 seconds isn’t long enough to cover the scratch marks staying on the map for 7 seconds when running away from the killer. the killer is just getting gonna track you down again and back on the hook you go 🤨 whether you get 0,1,2,3 or 4 kills as a killer you should feel satisfied with that. You still accrue a handsome amount of points for all your interactions with survivors so why is it that 4Ks are Or should be a consistent and expected thing? Everyone’s happy if they scored well and escaping is part of scoring well for survivors. It’s not everything, but it being a viable option is something important to keeping survivor players happy. I mean, nobody wants to play a game where they just get smashed on every match because the game is too well designed in preventing players from actually playing if you’re somebody with a brain as a killer, last I checked almost everyone has one. trappers traps are a good example of preventing people from playing because you have like a zero chance of getting out of them yourself. Or that there’s not a better way to discourage hook baiters, tunnelers or campers (because it seems killers losing out on points while doing this apparently isn’t a good enough reason to not do this kinda thing) even though it IS a legit strategy. There have to be better counters in place for this kinda thing because tbh it seems kinda weak. All in all I disagree I think you did better than average and you should be happy with that. I just don’t think the game is fair play on survivors end right now because of the laggy hits from killers which makes vaulting feel like certain death 100% of the time once getting to the other side. I just think it can be too easy for killers to get all 4. A more balanced game is where killer tried his butt off and got only 1-3 consistently. 4Ks shouldn’t really be a thing. So complaining about anything when clearly you’ve terminated 3 people is so mind blowing to me. Think about those people that get hit off early in the game, might as well DC because you have the ability to do your job too soon by not giving them a chance to play even though they took the time to queue up and go through all those loading and readying up screens too. Idk, I honestly don’t give a damn if I make it out as long as I got to play and work on things and have a chance to make an impact on the team. But of course DC is gonna happen if you don’t let that happen. I mean ######### one of the survivors practically spawn in next to the killer. 😂😂😂 enough said
-
Ya they are doing a great job of killing their player base. Maybe the goal is to have all the killers completely stop playing so that there’s only survivors waiting to find matches. If that’s what the goal is then yes they’ve been killin it. Devs have caved in on so many changes that barely anyone wants to play killer anymore. Survivors are so toxic and poor sports that people get tired of it and play something better. Their current rank system is what they were forced to do because not enough killers can reach or care to reach red ranks. But all it’s doing is forcing newer killers to not want to play because they rarely get a fair match.

@SenatorAcadia said:
More experienced players might know why this is a bad idea but it seems to me that in my journey to level 16 as killer I seem to be:
A: Playing a lot of survivors way above my rank (I guess that is match making)
B: Watching everyone wasting time in the exits waiting for me to eventually get there just so they can bounce up and down pointing like idiots until I try to hit them and they run out.
Seems to be that the exit gate is like the paint in basketball. If you are in there for more than 3 seconds (or however long it takes to run across it) then you should get booted back to outside the door, maybe some number of meters outside.
When I play survivor (I got to rank 13 so far) if the door is unlocked I either go back in (if someone is hooked) or run out.
Is there a point reason to hang around? I know that getting run around, hit by people jumping out of lockers, blinded at every palette, and then teased at the end seems like a bad look for the game. No killers means no games and if you are being made to feel like a jerk it seems like a serious flaw. I know EGC was put in because of what Survivors used to do, but can you enforce sportsmanship using code?
I look forward to your thoughts!
@Peanits said:
I don't think this would necessarily solve anything. Someone might just heal in there for points because it's safe. If they really wanted to taunt you, they could sit just outside the gate and teabag, then run when you get close. You'd have the same thing happen, just in a different place.
I think the best solution would be a forfeit option as a killer when the gates are powered even when kicked open and no one is on a hook. Forfeit with no penalty instead of holding up killers from being able to start another match when there is always plenty of survivors waiting for a match. As a killer I don’t care about extra blood-points for an extra hit or two at the gate and I doubt there are very many killers that do. Even when I kick the gate open then walk away and leave my controller afk it still takes the survivors every second of the end game collapse to leave 100 percent of the time.

Why would a window block quicker when it is SWF? How would them being SWF need to stop them vaulting a window? Why would they need less pallets because they are SWF? It is just a really odd demand. Being SWF doesn't mean they can run you better.
There are a lot of SWF groups out there who are just playing for fun with a wide range of ranks and abilities who get beat by killers regularly. Those people should be punished because sometimes you come up against a good co-ordinated team?
I agree. I stomp most swf groups into the ground anyways. Usually if I lose it’s because I made multiple mistakes or I’m just trying to do something specific like a challenge or ritual

Hangman's Trick still doesn't seem all that impressive on the PTB and I say that Surveillance is one of the most underrated perks in the game, and not many people expect it.
If you know how to use Pig and either play Dash add-ons or mix Ambush and normal attacks, then she can be quite terrifying.

Bubba is a bad killer because he is badly designed. He was rushed and half his addons do nothing for his characters. Bubba isn't a bad killer in his own right; he's just straight broken. He needs a rework.
The Pig, however, was once a competent and strategic killer who had a threatening power, who is now reduced to a glorified slow-down killer.
My point was simply bubba is worst than pig even with his one shot. I play a lot of bubba and you have to be flawless to even have a slim chance of winning against a decent team. Maybe an insta down dash attack would be to strong for pig but it would be awesome as an ultra rare add on. The pig has a cool concept and she can definitely wreak havoc at times but she’s also easy to win against especially at higher ranks. Her power slows down survivors but not nearly enough. I feel like she could use a few buffs maybe 5 key boxes from the start but extend the timer a little. Let her start with 1 more trap. Make boxes take a little longer. The pig is one of my favorite killers to play as and to play against but she could use some small buffs without a complete rework.

Find a survivor on a gen completely oblivious, enter shoulder grab animation for it to suddenly cancel and now im stuck in limbo and the survivor is already 15 meters away.
Even basic animation and latency priority has to prioritize survivors over killers even though killers are the ones making the decision to shoulder grab instead of going for a normal hit LUL
This happened to me twice in one match last night. I grabbed someone who was dead on hook that was vaulting a pallet straight into me and got stuck in the animation for a few seconds then at the end of the match two survivors were trying to body block so when I hooked the person I was carrying one of them immediately went for the save and I once again got stuck in the grab animation for a few seconds which was enough to let them all get to the gate. Completely ruined and screwed me out o f a good match. Literally got 0 kills when it was looking like a 3-4K game before the first grab glitch

Is no one going to mention the fact the bubba is much worse than the pig even with his one shot? If they wanted to make the pig really strong make her dash one shot. Problem solved even tho survivors would not go for that at all and cry OP

Since the Ruin change, NOED has become part of the killer meta now, whether people like it or not. I never used to use it but I have to now since there is no early game slowdown anymore.
Since it has become part of the meta, I think that survivors should not be allowed to harrass killers who use it. Saying "get good" is not a solution.
I JUST played against a streamer and watched their stream after the game and I of course was listening to what they were saying, and I don't think it should be allowed anymore.
They typed in the chat that I should not use NOED and that I camped. I didn't camp, they were just very cocky with saves and being altruistic. (I was Pig).
The streamer kept saying how toxic I was and how killers that use NOED have no skills. News flash to them: NOED didn't activate until the 2nd last person DC'D and I closed the nearby hatch. I wouldn't have needed it. NOED in this round was just a precaution that I didn't have to use because I had the skill to kill everyone else before the end game.
And to explain the alleged camping: like I said, I would stay nearby since the survivors were already near when I hooked someone and why would I walk to the other side of the map when I know someone is near? I wouldn't stand within view of the hooked person. I also had STBFL so getting the unhooker was easy.
What are your thoughts on this? I'm tired of people saying that I'm toxic for daring to equip NOED to make themselves feel better.
I’ve had so many 3-4K games where noed never even activated and people still write me messages saying these things. To many times to count. I usually only use noed for challenges or if I don’t have anything better to use on whatever killer I might be playing but most of the time it has no impact on my games. It’s a great starter perk for sure due to the horrible match making

@RayrafLPP said:
If a survivor DCs after a fast down the game is over. You can either farm with the other 3 or just end the game as aoon as possible. But thats not fun for both sides.
So killers should be able to end the game if a survivor has DCd before. Maybe a minute time to do so after the dc. All harvested points should be granted and everyone safety pips.
This shouldnt be an option gor survivors because then swfs could abuse it.
But if a survivor has already DCd i guess the others wouldnt complain if the game was over without punishment.
Maybe a vote should be initiated so let’s say the killers vote is mandatory to start it and at least 2 of the survivors have to vote yes to disband like the game normally would when someone dcs during the loading screen. That way everyone keeps everything and no pips are gained or lost

This is the answer.
If you didn't cleanse HG then Noed would never have activated after cleansing the other 3 dulls.
I could have sworn both haunted grounds stayed lit the whole game and that you could get everyone exposed twice in a single match. Was this changed at some point?
-

Cleansing one HG turns the other dull
That makes sense, was it always this way? I remembered it not doing that for some reason

As far as I am aware that's how it works, because i've had matches the same as this. Haunted grounds = 3 totems lit at the start. There were times when I did 2 dull totems, and still ran into NOED in the end game.
Haunted grounds only lights 2 totems. I destroyed one of them and I destroyed 3 dull totems which is 4 total. The last totem should have been lit as the second haunted ground. So how does that work? Does that become noed or does it become noed plus haunted ground?

One of the chief complaints is that generators get done too fast and people think NOED is toxic, although I disagree with NOED being toxic. Why don't people use bitter murmurs as a way to see where the survivors are? I've been a survivor main for a long time and am still pretty new to playing killer, and it seems like a useful perk when gens are being done so quickly. To me bitter murmurs is a must have. Its great on killers who can fast travel, such as freddy, nurse, and billy. I also find it works great with doctor if you use his static blast strategically.
I think it will be a mainstay in my arsenal.
Bitter Murmur is not a terrible starter perk when you don’t have a lot of options being that it’s not a teachable but there are a lot better options overall. With doctor I personally like using discordance, overcharge, BBQ and chili and either pop goes the weasel or distressing. Distressing gives his blast a huge radius and extra bloodpoints. Unnerving presence isn’t bad either especially in a 3 gen strat with overcharge. Discordance, tinkerer, and surveillance are much better than murmur because they help you track before the gens are done vs afterwards. The reason I like discordance the most is it usually shows you where to go as soon as the match starts because most of the time survivors spawn together and hop on the same gen. Every time discordance activates it immediately shows you where at least half the survivors are. Usually I will give up on a chase if I don’t see it ending quick enough to interrupt the survivors that are on a gen together. Even if you don’t make it to the gen before they finish its still better to show up as they finish vs waiting till they are done to even know they are there.

If I understand correctly the new DC penalties are to punish people that disconnect in a match simply because they don't like the way the match is going. The rationale is that disconnecting is unfair to the rest of the people in the match. I 100% agree this needed to be done.
I posted a thread yesterday about queue times on PS4 and had people started commenting on it how when they play killer and they get stuck in a lobby they don't like because of the amount of survivors with toolboxes or whatever reason they just dodge it. Toolboxes are part of the game. The rationale behind dodging in this situation is no different than the rationale of disconnecting in a match. They don't like something so they dodge. Dodging is still disconnecting. It's just done in the lobby instead of the match. It's just as unfair to the people you dodged as disconnecting in match. Sometimes it's more unfair because you may end up waiting 30 minutes or more for your lobby to fill again.
Why does lobby dodging get a free pass when it's done for exactly the same reason as disconnecting?
I got on last night on xbox trying to do survivor challenges and took almost an hour to play one match. I rarely bring items and just use what I find but between the errors, lobby dodges and dcs during the match loading it literally took 6 or 7 tries for me to get into a match. This match went like this for me. first one hooked, tunneled, mori, gg. Almost an hour waiting for 2 mins of game time lol

I try. Bubba with franklins bbq discordance and noed. Noed is for salt even though most of the time it rarely makes an impact on my matches anyways.

It's a pvp game. You are going to get salt and trash talk if communication is possible. I can't count the number of times back in the day in WoW that I've had people log over to my faction to hurl insults after they lost a fight. That kind of thing doesn't happen on steam if you close the chat window and decline friend requests. That's typical salt.
What do you see on the forums? A killer circle jerk of complaints about DS and BT, two completely avoidable perks, and gen times by the top 0.01% of survivors stacking every possible advantage in order to pump out gens asap.
There is the occasional complaint about a killer that is usually buried in seconds with whiny killers pretending they don't want to have easy 4ks every game.
You can literally say the exact same thing about ruin, noed, and that survivors act like they are suppose to all 4 escape every match. It goes both ways

@Feyd said:
OP is spot on. The whining killers just want to complain when they actually got outplayed for once. They had it so easy for so long that they are crushed by the weight of their own inadequacy and don't want to take the time to learn how to deal with it.
Survivors whine just as much if not more than killers from what I’ve seen. I can’t even get 1k half the time without someone crying about something and it’s almost always just poor sportsmanship. As a survivor killers rarely message me and when they do it’s almost always gg

I dont think youre a noob. But just like insidious, you know what you did. And also like insidious. Its just kinda frowned upon. The biggest part about noed people dont like is because in the situations that its a relevant (ie most games the generators are completed) is people have wasted a perk slot to not make you do any better but gate one person from possibly ranking up. Cause the only time noed gets any real value is when stupid survivors run back in. Or when the gates soawn close together and the killers patrolling them intensely. So all this perk effectively do is gatekeep in a really ######### manner. Noed is not a perk that compliments skill. Its a back up to ######### over who ever is unlucky enough to end up on the other side of your m1. Like i said earlier. Its not really good cause any sensable survivors will just leave while youre hooking them or crawl out if youre slugging. It doesnt really help a killer do anything except kill and usually only helps them get one kill. Which from what ive heard from killers, one kill isnt enough to pip up so once again reiterating. Youre wasting a perk slot that could help you do something, anything at all, to be a dick to one person. Which if you just got "gen rushed" like all the noed warriors argue for, one kill isnt going to compensate for the giant gap in what you need to rank up. I dont think its a good perk. I dont think it helps killers get better. I actually think it makes them worse since they wont ever learn to properly patrol gens in a time efficient way cause '######### it ill just get them with noed' it doesnt stop survivors 95 percent of the time it doesnt help at all. And it while youre scooping up the single kill you get. The survs are escaping so... Yeah. Theres that.
Why does ranking up matter if lvl 15 killers play red ranked survivors constantly? Usually when Ive used noed It never gets any effect because I get the 4K before it can activate or I down the last guy on the gate when they clearly weren’t going to get out anyways. This is why I stopped using it but I believe it’s a good perk for beginners.

If survivors weren’t op and toxic af all the time then maybe people would play more killer. Survivors generally try to be toxic bullies. They literally tell killers to uninstall the game all the time then wonder why people do so. I’ve experienced it a lot. O you have hex ruin uninstall your trash. Damm you only killed 1 guy and didnt tunnel. Your garbage delete it. You tunneled the guy that tried their hardest to annoy you all game, go back to fortnite. This is why I always tell killers gg when they do good instead of insulting them and also why I don’t tag at the gate just to be a douchebag

Or did they camp late game because they had little choice in the matter?

Was my team overly immersive and it was really difficult for them to find us?
They get a gg
Was the Killer a rank 20 with no add-ons or perks and camped because they didn’t know any better?
They get a gg and I’ll let them kill me as well since the Devs should have had matchmaking fixed a long time ago.
Was it a basement Bubba and did my team ignore gens and keep throwing themselves at him in order to get the save?
They get a gg.
Really, the killer has to be super toxic for me to really not say gg. Since I really don’t find camping or tunneling toxic, I don’t really get mad. More often than not, I find Survivors are the ones that initiate toxic behavior during matches.
Now when I play killer, I’ll be more than happy to write GGEZ in chat if I demolished a sweaty SWF team that brought in red flashlights and multiple toolboxes. They either get enraged or remain silent, which makes me chuckle.
I usually try to be nice, but I’m not afraid to respond in kind when I’m mistreated.
Basement bubba lol I get so much salt for hooking someone in the basement and then protecting the hook when people rush down there before I can even leave the shack. Usually I get a double chainsaw hit and leave the person who was saved slugged but I still get salt because I guess if you jump down behind me before I even finish getting up the stairs all the way I’m suppose to let you get the unhook and let you both walk out and pretend I don’t see or hear anything

@BloodMoneyMerc said:
So everyone knows about the trick to getting past Trapper's traps just by dead harding over them. Not only is this unfair, it literally makes no logical sense. It is unfair because a survivor basically can completely ignore a trap & extend the chase they were just in. Trapper gets screwed because then he either has to take time to pick up his trap or has to find a different route to continue chase. Not only that, it would be physically impossible in real life to do this to a real bear trap. Dead hard is a dash forward, not a jump, so it doesn't make sense how they wouldn't still get trapped.
I know the ability grants a brief period of immunity to the survivor, but honestly that in itself is so stupid. In general, dead hard shouldn't even negate attacks as it makes zero sense. There are times where you go to hit a survivor & they dead hard either into you or through the area you're hitting at but dead hard trumps the attack registering. I get that is kinda the point of the perk, but in a real situation like this that would never be the case. Dash all you want, if you get hit with a weapon you're gonna get hit lol. Point of this thread is just that dead hard is a far-fetched perk concept.
P.S. I'm not saying Dead Hard is OP by any means. I kinda think it's crap because I just wait out everyone's dead hard anyways. The perk should be just about either trying to make the killer whiff or to reach a pallet/window faster in order to avoid being hit. There shouldn't be an invincibility factor to it that isn't logically correct.
When I play trapper the survivors glitching the traps placed on door switches so they can open the gate without disarming my traps is what annoys me.
-
Another thing to consider is the doctor has 2 challenges in the tome so a lot of people are probably playing him for those as well. I believe one has to do with his ability and one is for the overcharge perk. So anyone that doesn’t have the teachable overcharge would have to use doctor

If this game just dies. Let all this nerd rage leave your system. It's clear the majority aren't mature enough or care enough to just be nice or do different things. This game is worse than when I tried CS:GO after playing 1.6>CS:Source for years. Communities make and break a game. Even if this game sucks but the community was great? It would be tolerable. But when their game isn't in a great position and the community is even worse? You're literally just killing the game.
A house divided cannot stand, and we have more division than people coming together. We have more hate and saltiness than empathy and love. Many people play games as an outlet for their pain and to just try and escape and forget about it if only for a few moments. But what happens when the game you enjoy now becomes an addition and maybe even a catalyst?
If you want the game to survive, I'd advise you to find ways to ban toxic players. (Maybe Killers get speed buffs vs Survivors who are teabagging and if they teabag at the gates they depip. Make the punishment harsh.) And to find out what the biggest problems of the game are and throw all of your resources into that and not other add-ons or cosmetics or storyline. None of that will matter if the player base is leaving.
I play on the PS4. I don't nerd rage, I value my peace and do what I can to stay at peace. I don't play much survivor but when I do, I tell people up front I suck at skill checks and they should go to a different gen if they see me on one. Haha. I've been face camped, tunneled etc. I'm ok with it. It can be hard to win with 4* survivors, and if I know one person has one hook left, one more hit vs someone who's had 1 hook and healthy? I'll tunnel that last survivor to increase my chances of winning. (3 survivors left.) It's like an RPG game. You have all four of your characters on your side focus on one so that you can down the enemies quicker. Rather than you using all four to 1on1.
Sorry for being all over. I liked the game but also uninstalled (still watch online and see where the game is in forums) because it's the community that's hard to handle. I've got enough mental health issues, I don't need other players telling me to kill myself and to go buy razors and make friends with them. No one needs that rage/hatred/toxicity in their life.
I used to play on PS4 and now I play on xbox 1 and the difference in night and day. On PlayStation most of the messages I received were salt. On xbox I still get salt but I get way more ggs as a survivor and killer. I believe it’s because xbox is a lot more strict when it comes to name calling using and using profanity. Most of the time the salty ones get ignored anyways. This is why I like ghostface if a survivor is tea bagging at a gate I just do it back until they leave to show that it doesn’t bother me any. I’ll be teabagging during an entire chase with him if someone does it during a chase with me.

I don't see a problem with NOED. It makes the end game more fun for me as a survivor.
That is exactly how I feel. It raises the stakes and makes the end so much more exciting. Every time the gate gets powered and there’s 4 of us left and the killer hits someone and they don’t have it I get a bit disappointed
-
I get a lot of salt from survivors in this game over some of the dumbest things. I get more ggs than salt on xbox. When I was on PS4 it was the opposite probably because a lot of the people on xbox get their chat suspended or don’t want to get their chats suspended. I’m a super nice killer though, anytime I bring streamers I let everyone out so they can get 10k bloodpoints each off that alone and sometimes they still send me messages saying stuff like damm your garbage you should uninstall can’t even get 1 kill
-
I’ve had multiple people from different matches complain about me using noed on bubba in matches where the gates were never even powered. I basically used 3 perks in those matches and they still get salty just because he has a chainsaw already. I play survivor and killer equally and enjoy both. Honestly I like when the killer has noed it makes the end a lot more interesting and fun to me. I enjoyed playing against old ruin too because the games didn’t feel like they were over in 5 mins. Then again idc if a die in the game at all. I gladly sacrifice myself to help others survive all the time.

It depends on how statistics are taken depends on how woefully inaccurate they can be.
For example, the red rank killer kill rates only cared if the killer was red ranks. It did not care if the survivors the red rank killers were facing were yellow/beige ranks.
Now take that logic and apply to all of the red rank survivors in this match I had:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/569/UEOXBWGXJT8U.png
By the same logic, the survivors escaped and would increase their escape ratio on the statistics -- even though the killer was just a mere rank 16.
And that's how the kill rates were determined, using this same logic. And that's why they're crappy and flawed and shouldn't be used for any balance decisions or any kind of cognitive argument.
Hey those ranks look like every match I play on Xbox

Survivor escape rates are above 50% at red ranks, too.
Funny how statistics work, isn't it?
I thought they wanted it at 50 percent. People keep saying it’s above 50. What is above 50? 51? 52?

Billy is the one everyone will gun for next, Ive already seen it starting. then Freddy and ghostface then maybe Michael. Michael has to wait his turn.

Not like killer rank matters with matchmaking like this.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/784/TEVOME5TLAMR.png
May as well just paint every other color that's not beige with a red coat of paint if you're playing killer.
And then paint beige ranks with purple.
I recently started playing on xbox instead of PS4 so I had to start over and this is what I’ve been getting since rank 16. All purple and reds with occasionally green rank players when the game feels like being nice. I have no ruin because I’m not going to waste my bloodpoints leveling up hag for nothing with the super mega nerf coming. Almost every game I’ve played has resulted in 2-3 gens being finished before I get my first down or immediately after my first down. Can’t imagine actual new players enjoying this game at all because they probably have 1 gen left before their first hit if they even get a hit. I’m still good enough to get 2-4ks in most games with no perks or add-ons on whatever killer I feel like using but it’s pretty rough. Feel like noed is going to be needed now which I’ve never ran but I’m sure it will get butchered to nothing next. They will probably put a cool down on it or make it a one time use.
-
dont worry I’m sure noed will get the ruin treatment soon survivors don’t want the possibility of someone not escaping
