  • Indeed, I ended up blocking them on xbox and reporting them to xbox and on dbd with screen shots, but as always nothing will get done about it, again I think the therapy would help

Is this the whole conversation? If so, they sure are reaching with their replies. I had some vile slurs thrown at me from other “teammates”. I have chat turned off now.

No there was alot more to it, some stuff I can't put on here because of the disgusting nature of what he put, truly vile creature he was.

  • Had the same thing apart from I was a survivor in game with them, 1 got tunneled out the second (the one who has been messaging me) stayed on the basement and got hooked. He's sent me some truly disgusting messages apparently because im a woman I am so horrible that I would falsely accuse a man of Grape and so on and I'm that type of woman, apparently I'm a killer main too, selfish survivor for doing 2 gens, taking a hook, healing my team mates, getting people off hook and finally by biggest crime..... finding hatch and taking it. According to him I should have thrown myself at the killer out of pride and honor for my team mates.....

  • But next match i pip???? What is going on?

    Snapchat-524243118.jpg

  • Well its 23.16 here and I usually don't have a problem at all finding matches but tonight nothing

  • Or bond might as well go the whole hog

  • Let me make this clear as an xbox series x owner..... you now own a console that is as powerful as a PC...... your frame rates are the same....

Not as many people have the xbox series x also how many of them actually play dbd. So matchmaking without crossplay is going to take forever.

Its not fair pitting xbox one users against xbox series x players they are not the same console with the same frame rates. If anyone says well they are both xbox.... yes but you are basically putting xbox one consoles up against a next gen console that has the same frame rates and powers as a pc. Take this from someone who does play cross platform with someone one an xbox one. They said the killer should have never hit someone as they were no where near them, I told them straight no... the killer was next to them

  • I always boop the snoot no matter what... my reward i usually die or some really angry ones tunnel me the joy

  • I have yet to find a lobby with cross play turned off, I still wanna play with my friend as they have an xbox one so cross platform it is for me

  • @bm33 said:

That's pretty ridiculous. Guess it's the way to force crossplay on the console players that turned it off to avoid playing with PC. 😒

I figured it's because the next gen consoles are considered on par with a pc now so would not be fare putting the serier x against the xbox one

  • You do realise that to use a key you have to do all thr gens when all 5 are left..... if not the hatch will only spawn when you have at least 3 gens done if there are two of you left. So your logic is incorrect you can't just walk into a match, do one gen and all get out

  • @Almo said:

Because, unfortunately, it is impossible to tell server-side whether the game crashed or the player pulled the plug.

As a long-time multi-player gamer, I know how bad this feels. Crashes get reported to us, and we prioritize looking for fixes for these issues. My apologies for the crashes you have experienced. But please know that we care and are working on fixing them.

Or Maybe just maybe stop working on new cosmetics, DLCs and actually work on the game itself. I mean as an xbox player being able to play the new maps without constant frame drops, game glitches and these DC errors would be great. Maybe then I would start spending money on the game again

  • Please god yes! I had a killer tunnle me and said sorry the bill usually runs with a 4 stack so I thought you played with him since you got him off the hook... I wanted to make sure I took them out

  • Honesty, on xbox rather frequent, I would say about 6 out of 10 matches the killer is tunneling or camping players. Its annoying because no one wants to play that way and it's no fun for anyone. The killer gets hardly any blood points and neither do we. I want a full game, hook me 3 times im more than happy to die, but don't catch me once and then sit and watch me struggle away or see me get take off a hook and actively go for me when the person who took me off toys to take a hit. Even more toxic is the face camping and then hitting you on the hook.... that really grinds my gears

  • We need more people like you on Xbox, all we get recently are extremely sweaty killers. The highlight of my week was a moonwalking myers

  • As a survivor no it does not hurt my feeling but it does annoy me, like why solo Q if you are gonna dc on your first down? Maybe dont play the game if you are gonna dc

  • Anyone noticed this? Or I guess just me

Agreed with this. It's how I play most matches. I used to try go for 4k's when I first started, but it felt more stressful than anything. Now, I just throw on some random perks, maybe a couple Add-Ons for killers and go nuts. If I lose, well I had fun and I got points anyways. Even survivors start to relax in the game when they see you just messing around with them. I've had some super sweats SWF teams literally go from world record time escapes to literally messing around with me. I guess it just depends more on how the players in the match act. Personally, I could care less if someone wanted to rush out the door or not, as long as I kept it fair and fun, I consider it a win.

I wish I came across more killers like you! All I seen to find is people who want to get the 4k in record time, face camp and tunnel of hook if you do manage to get off. I do love the game but tbh the amount of fun I have is less and less each game. I want to actually do something. I dont expect to escape every match but having the hope that we could escape would be good. Games recently we dont even have that

I think they mean that those events aren't meant to be fun for survivor not that survivor's aren't meant to be having fun. You could argue that every moment of the game should be fun for everyone involved but that's not possible and any attempt at it would probably be unhealthy for the game.

I find the game fun, i enjoy playing but I hate it when someone takes all the fun away trying to get an easy 4K.... how about going for max points instead. Why sit and face camp someone?

  • If its not meant to be fun for survivors then why are they even in the game???? Your telling me they created a game and intended for four out of the 5 playing to have a miserable time? Wow....

  • Can confirm, I DC for the first time every today (I dont dc as I don't see the point) but this killer slugged us all down and refused to hook anyone and was just watching us bleed out, so I had enough and through im not playing this, I aint laying on the floor for 4 mins while he taunts us all. So I DC....bam hit with my first penalty.... tbh I would take the 5 min time out that sit and watch him taunt us

  • They do the same thing to survivors.... its a pain on both sides but hey ho they like to make things challenging for us

Survivors who use stealth usually do get found last, agreed, but that doesn't mean it's a good strategy. If you're not moving quickly between gens you'll find yourself looking for hatch with 3 gens left every time because you didn't help your team enough during the match.

I agree that being more careful at the start of the match makes sense, but I still think it's a fine idea to run. If you just get right on a gen the killer is probably going to spawn far enough away that your scratch marks will be gone before they show up. Plus, ~75% of the time you won't get chased first and you'll wish you had gotten to a key gen quickly and maximized your progress on it.

The first chase is massively important to the outcome of the game, though, so if you can't run the killer well that would be a fair enough reason to be more cautious.

I tend to try and get into the middle of the map at the beginning and get that Gen done as most people tend to skirt the edge and i know killers know we do that. I do tend to run around the map alot moving from gen to gen and try to not get us in a 3 gen situation as I know once that happens it csn be game over very quickly

Information perks are awesome, but three of them is a little overkill. I personally always run Kindred (essential as a solo player, IMO), and Spine Chill is an excellent perk to prevent ambushes.

Your playstyle seems to be very much stealth at all costs, which is punishing you when you do get into chases. I'd suggest swapping out Dark Sense for Lithe, as that will help you escape chases and get back to stealthy play as soon as possible, as well as giving you a buffer of a few seconds at the start of the speed boost to look for a safer place to loop/hide instead of panicking and running into walls/corners.

The last perk would depend on how you typically play besides stealth/immersion. If you're altruistic and like to go for hook saves, Borrowed Time is excellent; if not, try a second-chance perk such as Decisive Strike (which you'll almost always get use out of, especially with the rise of tunnelling cross-play seems to be bringing). Urban Evasion just isn't too useful these days beyond memeing Neas.

    Just my $0.02

Advice Is always welcome from someone who has played longer than me, thank you. I shall take everyone's suggestions on board and try to mix it up a little in tonight's games 😁

U want to git gud as survivor? Bring OoO and let yourself get tunneled. Try to survive as long as possible, drop pallets left and right. Once you can stand for yourself long enough your next step is to be thoughtful of the pallet resources, try to use as less as possible. If you can stand a chase for 1+ minute and only drop 1 pallet at most you are pretty good

I Dispise OoO... only reason I do is 90% of the games im the obsession (why you so obsessed with me...🤣🤣 kill me now) I dont really fancy giving a killer a free kill and letting my team mates down. I only throw pallets when I really do need to, I go for saves when it's safe and so on. I feel im good at the game BUT no where near as good as some of the people out they. Alot of people say just keep playing, you will get better but i guess it never hurts to pick the brains of some of the better players out there

Listen, sound can tell you so much in this game. The Terror Radius even helps Survivor out as the louder it is, generally, the closer a Killer is.

Dont Stand still but don't run either. Unless you are being chased, you should never run or vault or drop a pallet. It gives the Killer clues of where you are. Whether a sound que or a trail of scratch marks.

Juke and dodge. Never run in a straight line. The number of times Ive gotten a survivor cause they went straight is insane.

Dont be a dick with the flashlight. Most Killers hate it. Its annoying. If youve dropped a pallet... Just get out. Run a ways then drop to a crouch if the killer is far enough a way. Leaves a scratch trail for us to follow until you drop and sneak away. Takes a few seconds for us Killers to break a pallet.

Above all remember... Not every Killer is a complete ass.

This has been advice from your friendly neighborhood Killer Main.

Thank You! I dont touch flashlights, I search a chest and one of those bad boys are in there I leave them there 🤣🤣 i have used them a few times for challanges I needed to do but that stuff is hard, so I dropped a pallet and did it while they were breaking it. I have managed to get to rank 5 with 4 pips.....sooo close to red ranks and then rank reset.... back to rank 9 lol

Sound is everything, Iron will is great for negating it. Learn to loop as well. Try not to become reliant on perks.

Thank you, i do try to loop as much as possible but I find myself doing the obvious..... running into walls or getting stuck on something 🤣🤣🤣 i know im not the best at the game but I do really enjoy it. I play killer a little but found myself playing less and less of killer once I started getting spammed with messages and party invites from SWF rainbow groups who i managed to down or kill.... they don't seem to like that

  • Yep i got stuck 3 separate times in the last 2 day, once with someone else, the other 2 on my own. Couldn't move at all no matter what I did. Im on xbox. Killer just took them as free hooks Also was watching a rather large streamer last night and he got the exact same thing, got stuck with someone else. (They were on pc) they managed to finally find a way out but got stuck there a few times trying to get out.

  • Ok so DS and unbreakable, I cant say much on them as I dont use either, but if a killer can slug all 4 men in a match within the first 3 minutes of the game then yes there should be a counter for that otherwise why would survivors play? Killers could literally do that every match if they wanted to and what survivors just have to lay on the ground waiting to die.... yeah because that seems fair

It is much appreciated by the community. To be honest, as others have said, I’m not sure a MMR is going to work. Having a hidden system isn’t going to work. Removing rank that isn’t tied to MMR won’t work. What’s determined to be playing well is subjective.

Perhaps expanding the ranking system would work better? Keep Ranks 20-1. But once someone hits Rank 1, they enter a new secondary ranking system, can no longer be matched with Ranks 20-5, and that can further separate people based on skill. Not necessarily for matchmaking (at least not right away).

anyways, thanks for turning off the system. 🤝

The idea of a second ranking system once they hit rank one sounds great to me, it would stop alot of the sweat for people trying to rank up but not being able to

  • Oh the same hand, what about toxic high rank killers? Was in a solo match and the Billy slugged everyone down within the first 5 minutes of the game..... there are faults on both sides.

I don't see anything bad, but new ones will appear. There should be no toxic players in the game. You know that most teams are involved in bullying killers. At the same time, it is often difficult for players to win alone. swf is a 99% toxicity that affects the entire community. Why are you ignoring this problem?

I agree slightly. I just played a solo match and I got hooked, the gens were all done and what did I get a sweaty red rank SWF tbagging me while I was on the hook and refusing to get me off of it because and I quote "i tried to kill his team mates" funny i remember saving 2 of them, cleansing totems, doing gens and taking the killer for a run...... some SWF players are extra toxic and basically just enjoy everyone's fun

  • I dont believe that is correct, on PC you can actually type out a reason for reporting and give extra information. Xbox you cant

  • Played about 20 matches in the last 3 days.... all I get is rank 1 killers I have been playing 3 months tops and have about 300 hours in the game. Should I be really impressed or something because I am being matched with people who have thousands of hours in the game? I'm a rank 7.....all I know is this MMR is making me not want to play at all

  • There is something very wrong with the MMR then as my son started playing brand new to the game, first game he got.... all red rank 1 survivor's was bullied mercilessly and then got a message saying get gud kid...... his first match EVER. TOXIC! Second match was purple ranks and 1 yellow rank, again game over super quick BUT at least one person who was a purple rank messaged him and apologised, said they didn't realise he was new to the game and said how broken match making was. MMR in theory is good, in practice its ruining the game for people

    @AVoiceOfReason So exactly right.🤗

The only thing I won't do is say GG if it wasn't a GG. That being said - I also won't say anything. :-)

I especially like : " If someone gets tunneled and you don't even try to help get the killer off of them then that's on you guys, not the killer. You're a team. Help each other." *20 thumbs up. Help each other.

@Laurab84 I totally get where you're coming from. This is where hook suicide is handy. First hook? Teammates not coming? Killer Camping etc. Hook Suicide and move to the next match.

    Seriously.

There is no point in staying in a game that is miserable straight out of the gate with no indication it will improve... but... always let your team try to help first though. It's only fair. 😘😁

I understand what you are saying but again, how do you combat playing say 4 games in a row, your new to the game and you get face camped each time. Are you really going to pick that game up and play it again? Highly doubt it. The game is bad enough with match making right now never mind people being overly toxic. I play both sides so I understand both sides. What i dont understand is how anyone can try and promote toxic game play. Sorry but I actually want to pip up and by gen rushing you cant as a survivor qnd by face camping as a killer you can't. The game in meant to be enjoyable, and the way described above is not

If the killer wants to kill 1 person, it's their choice. Same as survivors completing all gens in 3 minutes when a killer is trying. No sympathy for either side. If you don't like it, play killer your way. Stop trying to force your play style on someone else.

I Play killer.... and survivor..... i don't face came, I don't gen rush.... i play the game. No tunnelling, no slugging, no taunting the killer or constantly clicking the flashlight. At the end of the match always say GG regardless if the survivors are toxic or not. What i will say is that if killers play the way you are suggesting above say goodbye to new players. No one wants to deal with constant toxic survivors or killer. My son started playing this game as killer, hes a rank 20 and got a full group of red rank survivors being toxic on his first game, second game yet again, purple ranks that were being toxic. At least at the end of the game they had the decency to apologise because they realised he was new to the game. Your just trying to breed a toxic game style that everyone hates.

  • Ok so if what your saying is correct we have a killer that downs and hooks someone, facecamps them the entire match while the rest of the gens are completed? Doors are opened and they get out...... i don't see any fun in that at all, 1 person is sacrificed for the sake of 1 dying. Sorry but I want to play a match that lasts longer than 5 minutes
