I know what your thinking. Your going to tell me, "To keep up with the gens speeds" or "So I can fix my mistakes with the press of a button." Fair answer but I have another question. Does it ever get boring? To me it does. Don't get me wrong I can understand it but doesn't ever get bland? To be honest I think I would've stopped using ds if it wasn't for the occasional tunnel. Would've stopped using corrupt if it weren't for the fact three gens can be popped right off the bat. I think the increase in meta was due to sbmm forcing a completive mindset. Cant blame it all on it though. Meta was a thing even before sbmm. As of recently I've started using more perks for fun with the sprinkle of meta. Been enjoying the game more. The build I've been using is balanced landing because at least one exhaustion perk would be nice, any means necessary because I find it funny to reset a pallet just to stun the killer again, pebble because pebble, and borrowed time because well I don't need to explain. The goal of this discussion is to understand what everyone's reason is for using meta. I'm expecting a few obvious answers but I'm hoping there is more to it then just that. I personally don't have a problem with it but it can't be very fun to use the same thing over and over again... right? I've used my fair share of meta as I'm sure you have as well. This post is starting to drag on so ill let you comment as you well. That is all thank you.

It's possible you might've ran into more cheaters, since not all of them are super obvious with their cheats, like the auto-dead hard thing.

oh no, nonononono. is this, high mmr?

To be completely honest, I think I would still try and continue playing it regardless of the problems it has and will have later. Though the game can get stale from time to time there will still be tons of killers to play as and against with my friends. The game to me has been fairly fun over the past year of me playing and I genuinely love the game and I always find myself coming back. Plus, there are things I haven't tried and achievements that I haven't earned yet. Until all has been done or played I think I would keep playing. Yes as I said the game gets a little stale but there will always be something for me to do. I love this game and hope that it doesn't die down. I would love to hear your thoughts if this were to ever happened.

uhm, just play with my friends and hope it doesnt turn into cod zombies, if i was a developer, i would ignore this and continue making spaghetti code and more issues!

Yes I said it, he takes no skill and is perhaps the most braindead killer in DBD. Let’s go over a few reasons why.

    • He’s a 4.6 movement speed Killer with with arguably the best base kit power and mobility in the game.
    • He’s Anti-Loop because of the exploits he can do in game to get hits that should not be possible.
    • He has some of the most broken add-ons in the game.

I just don’t understand how the devs haven’t done anything about him yet to be honest. You can’t sit here and tell me “he takes skill” or anything similar to that. Because looking down at an object before rushing and flicking your mouse just is Soo hard right? And that’s not even explaining his busted add-ons…. Whats that? You hit a survivor with your power and they made good distance on you? Don’t mind it cause your alchemist ring and blighted crow will let you catch up and down them again in about 4 seconds. Yup a whole 2 health states in the span of 10 seconds just cause of 1 add-on. What’s that? Your tinkerer went off? Don’t worry just rush to the gen in no time and let ruin take care of it. What’s that? You can’t hit a survivor with your power at a loop or tile? Don’t worry just point your head down at the wall or an object before you rush and you can slide away and flick. Wash, rinse, and repeat. Good Job BHVR.

😂 nice joke bro, quite laughable

  • i dont know, like how you prove you didnt get auric shells? also, when i made the post i got my bubba shards so the devs are deffo reading into this. thank you dudes and dudettes!

  • @BirdSpirit said:

I don't think it's dependent on being on steam or epic. It's just BHVR failing miserably like with everything else.

ah, something we can agree on. but to be honest alot of people havent gotten their shards yet and i think there should be something like "have you gotten your bubba shards yet?" if no, then a tutorial is shown for them to be able to show proof of no shards given.

  • @FriendlyBubba said:

No skill, one button press required. Avoiding all hits and gaining distance then there it goes the survivor escapes and goes for round 2 and another 5 minutes chase. It's even more ridiculous if they dead hard next to a window and completely avoid your attack.

Remove the invincibility and give Dead Hard a short distance.

bruh you cant be losing.. just give em a boo and they are scared

So when a new alien born from the surv stomach will mori him? I think that the mori will be alien holding the survivor while a facehugger appear infect him and a Alien baby born from his stomach and leave.

yea, like a built in mori for the alien to get more drones

Bubba hasn't received any changes since patch 4.1.0. Yet his pick rate has been on the rise in recent months (in my games anyway). Is it just because he's good at face-camping? I feel like he started becoming more common when Boons were introduced. So now many Killers feel they have to resort to camping instead of spreading the damage. What do you think?

    Why not?

So, I'm going to lay out my own position first so nobody's engaging under false pretences- while I don't think NOED is necessarily "fine", I think that it is by no means OP, unfair, or unhealthy. I think it's a mediocre, inconsistent perk that provides very little value at a point in the game where you're running up against the clock to actually use that value.

But... that is not the overriding opinion of the community. The community seems pretty split, and a lot of people seem to think NOED is unfair and/or unhealthy. I've never seen a good argument as to why, so that's what I'm asking for here! If you think NOED is unfair, unhealthy, or OP, tell me why!

Specifically I'm looking for a little more detail- I've seen people say, for instance, that NOED "gives unearned kills" or "rewards bad play", but never any explanation of why they think it does either of those. I do genuinely want to know the reasons behind thinking this way, this isn't a bad faith gesture, but I also will probably prod you for a little more explanation if something doesn't seem to make sense.

Let's try and keep it civil, though! No sense chiming in just to state that you don't think NOED is an unhealthy perk.

noed is not unfair, i personally, as a killer think it is a cheap way to get kills.

Just now I'd a Claudette who increases her movement speed the closer I come to her and I couldn't catch up with her. This is beyond ######### mental. This is how bad this game has become. I also had a match where Nea blocked me in a corner by doing a hooking hack or some ######### and I couldn't even damage her, her friend also decided to instantly repair gens and STILL they decided to put the match hostage so I am forced to leave the match and face a penalty.

I have uninstalled this game. I can't play killer with all the cheaters and lag. There is literally no point to use my valuable time on something that barely functions. Actually it's on life support with twigs and duct tape! Come on, be real, BHVR.

Honestly, ive never encountered a cheater, probably because I got the game on, puke epic games for free. and because i started like 4 or 3 months ago

  • @Malkhrim said:

God pallets, god windows, you name it. Why are there many still in the game? They make the kind of loop where your skill barely matters and a play on a tile involving then mostly can only go one way unless the killer has a power that hits through them. Not only is quite frustrating for the killer who can do nothing about them, it feels quite bland and boring too. The survivor vaults the window, the killer is forced to vault to chase. The survivor drops the pallet, the killer has to break it and then continue. If they don't, they either can't continue chasing trough that way or the loop becomes an infinite until the pallet is destroyed.

I will go further and say they're one of the reasons why Dead Hard often feels problematic and so many people hate it. If a survivor dead hards towards a pallet or window on any other loop, it wastes some of your time, but at least you have a chance of still getting them there by mindgaming. On god loops you can't mindgame or do anything but vault window/break pallet and resume, this becomes worse and gives the survivor a lot of distance and time for free... because they pressed E and that loop doesn't allow you to do anything about it.

There shouldn't be god windows in this game at all. Some of then were fixed in 2020, but some are still in the game. And god pallets, while I imagine having one or another in a map (like the one in the shack that usually goes down fast and the one at Midwich's corridor, a killer sided map) is helpful for new survivor players, there's no need for this game to have as many of them as it has today.

It doesn't help that many god loops are on already reworked maps. Groaning Storehouse has the arguably strongest loop in the game, Fractured Cowshed has strong pallets you can't mindgame and that create potential infinites when dropped, since survivors only get hit on them if they make a huge mistake. One of these pallets is on a HUGE tile that is really long on both sides and so low the survivors can see you 100% of the time. Crotus Prenn has some broken concrete walls with similar issues, so does Autohaven with the double car loops. And then there's The Game... don't even have to talk about that one.

And talking about non-reworked maps, depending on which window is open on Mother's Dwelling's main building, you can't do anything but vault and chase the survivor, who will just get to the other side and vault again. And of course, there's Haddonfield.

Why are there still SO MANY of these?

because survivors exist, john. you can still break pallets.

NOED and Dead hard are for beginners who don't understand how to play the game with experience. If you're an experienced survivor or killer you shouldn't be using these perks in the first place since these 2 perks make or break the game. Now NOED is weaker than Dead hard since it only works end game and also it can be EASILY DESTROYED with smart, experienced players. Dead hard you can't remove it permanently in the match. it can be used in so many ways that destroys the game, especially since maps are mostly unbalanced and lean towards survivors. People that USE dead hard AND are veteran players who play DbD 24/7 means they are just trying to piss the killer off. Shame on good survivors that USE dead hard and also shame on NOED. I hate these 2 perks in game but I mostly hate DEAD HARD since maps are ALREADY too much to deal with as the killer.

alright alright, enough with the screaming, but i think otherwise. dead hard is also easily counterable with a BOO and noed can easily be countered with a Cleenze. perks are perks and if you dont like them alright, but they are still perks and should be considered into the dbd family. Also just to piss off survivors NOED is great and unexpected, to piss off killers use clairvoyance, hella underrated perk. but fr you get mad at perks i dont think you should be playing. its an essential part of gameplay

It says right in the description current wiggle progress. The other version was 25% total wiggle progress.

Ah, i see my mistake. I will now delete my post and not rant.

  • @Brimp said:

No it got nerfed? They changed it so when you drop the survivor gets 33% of their CURRENT wiggle progress. So if they have 10% wiggle and you drop they only gain 3% wiggle. If you drop while they have 50% wiggle they only gain somewhere around 16% wiggle. And dropping at 75% wiggle progress causes them to escape instantly as 33% of 75 is 25.

    image.png

Im quite sure it says changed to *give* 33% wiggle progress.

  • im surprised that everyone knows the legion's fav songs or type of songs.

  • I like to imagine that oni's fav would just be his own chase music, my fav chase music ever next to the demogorgon.
