I just miss the old Ruin/pop and DH/DS meta. Yeah it sucked ass, but I loved that ass. There was something about it that felt... Groovy... Back then at high ranks killer HAD to tunnel a homie, and the homie knew it was coming, but he had ways to deal with it. Unless it was basement bubba, or bodyblock hag. But even a rag tag buncha solos could thrawrt their evile plans and make a great escape, surviving is no longer the goal, getting out of the basement was. I genuinely miss that #########... Even on the receiving end. Both ends. Heh
On the other end while playing killer, you could try dumb builds sometimes sure, often times without tunneling(sometimes actually... well no there was that one time...) anyway, and sometimes those random hodgepodge builds would keep working... Up until the matchmaking sets you against the Korean Seal Team 69 (It was as if there were no Survivors in the US... or even south of the dang border!) I'd get ROLFSTOMPED by ping and flying Moon Runes in the end game screen as the words "ENTITY IS DISPLEASED" flies across the screen.
After all the changes and nerfs Something feels off. I think what we need is a few chapters where no perks are added, instead we get some perks reworked/"BaLaNcEd"

Iron Maiden rocks... But we all know Bruce and the bois like their money. I bet the crossover for BHVR wasn't cheap. Couldn't even afford themed chase music for the skins >,<
-
Having the option to play survivor in first person would be a blast in itself, and after all this time I'm surprised BHVR hasn't added it as a simple option, it would be more widely accessible to a wider audience than VR. If the setting is completely optional then it wouldn't need to be in any separate game modes or anything as it would be completely voluntary whether or not you want to get extra spooky. If it could be changed VIA the menu, so you could even change it back to Third-person during a match if it is too much to handle.
They could make it sort of like Rust, where there is a lock on how far you can turn your camera, and you can look further by pressing ALT, even while working on a gen. If anyone here does, or has played Rust, they'll know what I'm talking about.
You could still (probably) do the fancy foot work while running, it would be real discombobulating tho, which would kinda be the fun of it imho.

I feel like all your problems would be solved if you just called it something other than a wendigo.
This. There are a tons of monsters that share the same behaviors, and even stories in ancient Europe, a lot of which play out the same way (just gotta dig a bit)
However I will say this; "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery"
The Skinwalker as we call it, is a witch, specifically an evil shapeshifting witch. Shapeshifters (and witches) are in nearly all Indigenous American legends, in one shape or another (no pun intended) however unlike most southwest tribes, not all of them are evil.
You can find stories of shapeshifters all over the entire globe, its nowhere near close to being unique among indigenous American cultures. The monster we typically think about is closer to a wendigo (northeastern American), but at the same time also isn't. The deer skull monster is closer to some Slavic/Norse creatures, the goatman is a fine example of a legend that carried over, and happens to be the same thing as some Poncan, or Cherokee Deer Woman stories (there are more tribes of course but I'll just list these two). Completely different cultures, similar types of legends.
If you want a really cool innawoods type of creature, look no further than the Rougarou, which is French for werewolf, a creature told and seen in legends from Indigenous America, Greece, and Ancient Europe (Dogman sound familiar to anyone?)
There's also Bigfoot, which is the same thing as a troll, ogre, wildman, and giant in many old stories, these are just a few examples easily found in old European cultures.
There are more examples, you can even see the Bigfoot creature in old middle eastern cultures, the Succubus legend evolved from a Bigfoot like creature, it stole and ate men, they called it Sulawa. This legend is almost exactly the same as some pacific northwest American stories. Ancient Sumeria even has one; Enkidu, Gilgamesh's best friend, was a Wildman. He was made by the gods to humble Gilgamesh, but because Gilgamesh was part god, and therefore a giant himself, they were of equal strength. "There were giants in those days, and the days after that."
Australia, Russia, China, Japan, and even Korea have a Bigfoot type creature. The legend of Bigfoot has been told about since before humans painted on rocks, all over the globe. No one culture can own that jazz.
A multicultural society that walks on its own eggshells is doomed.

A lot of m1 killers end up in 3 gen situations not on purpose, but because they simply don't have anything else going for them other than the territory they've built, especially against good pugs or the occasional Seal Team Squads (most squads like doing dumb things, so lets not get into it). Skull Merchant is an outlier here in that she can do whatever. Lets ignore her for this.
Now suppose you have a Trapper, Hag, or Singularity, all with the same build, all with surge, corrupt, and 2 other random perks. After their setup, things are likely to escalate into either a snowball, or a 3-gen.
Even tho they may get some good surge value, odds are its in a compact area near their setup. If the survivors have any second-chance perks, such as unbreakable, MfT, plus those other 2 i can't remember off the top of my head, deadhard, Ect. Odds are one or two of those gens are going to get blocked, especially if its a good team VS a good killer.
Solution? Delete Skull Merchant.

I would love a Spirit/Nurse crossover skin, nurse would have the hair and bandages and look something like a banshee from Warcraft. Spirit would be a near lore accurate Irish banshee. Give Nurse a broken medieval sword, and Spirit a really long bread knife.

Thats the groovy part though! He can have a whole different animation/noise notification inspired by all sorts of stories.
Instead of a bell he'll use a different tool to turn invisible; The "Siwash Noodle"!
It comes directly from a story from the Chilliwack Tribe, in British Columbia. Here

idk if i would put the wraith as bigfoot but that's my opinion
If ye delve into the rabbit hole that is Sasquatch lore, Wraith becomes the perfect candidate.
From the ability to cloak with vibrations, to being tall, and slender as some are reported to be.
There is even a variety of Sasquatch in Afrika, such as Raka, or Otang. Perfect for Wraith according to his lore. (Well-known one, easy reading)
That isn't counting the possibly thousands of different versions from cultures around the globe and precontact Americas. Its groovy stuff that predates writing in some parts of the world.

If you mean that you’re having trouble with survivors who stealth, I relate. It’s not difficult to win against as much as it is frustrating, but because I’m blind and just enjoy chases the most it certainly gives me a hard time as killer.
Yeah thats pretty much it. I've never used detection perks aside from bbq on certain builds, and anytime I use whispers it janks me all up. I need a reverse spinechill >,<

The killrate argument is to prove that most Nurses are bad, nothing more.
The proof that Nurse is balanced is tournaments.
Remember when pre rework Freddy (the outrageously bad one) beat pre ner- I mean, rework Nurse in tournament? I remember. And Nurse was infinitely more powerful then. I think all the Nurse hate just boils down to bandwagoning and dead horse beating.

If 1k is considered a win to BHVR then every single silver rank and lower killer (even the new ones) are right where they belong with the red rank SWFs and Perfect Play Solos. Such is life.
And if we are to assume every survivor (and I mean EVERY survivor, every game, for reasons) who complains about a certain Banshee rip-off is correct, then all those MLG rank 1 survivors who dc every time they play DBD, because every game they somehow get Nurse. One of the least played, lowest kill count killers in the game, is somehow responsible for nearly every single loss in Red Rank Survivor DBD history and has absolutely no counter.
I kid you not I have not seen a Nurse in 2 weeks. I haven't even seen Spirit in 1 whole month! Maybe this rank reset will fix that.

so instead of 100 perks they will have to get only 97 in the bloodweb?
Nah you speed level the killer/surv, and instead of buying the same perk 3 times you only have to buy it once. With killer/ survivor specific perks already unlocked once you reach prestige 3. It makes prestige not suck as much. Its simple maths mayne.
-
These are all killer perks.
Medieval Justice!: If a survivor rescues another survivor within 16 meters of the killer, the rescued survivor is granted sprint burst for 5s. The Survivor that rescued the other Survivor is hindered for 10s, and has their aura is shown for 10/15/20s. Any friendly effects on the rescuer will not trigger during this time. This effect trumps all friendly perks.
Concussive Strikes!: Survivors that are given Deepwounds, or who are hit while suffering from Hemorrhage, or Mangled status effects are blinded for .2, .3, .5 seconds.
Swift Death!: The killer moves 2/3/5% faster when looking in the direction of a survivor whose aura is revealed.
Joke perk... or is it? HEX: BEWARE THE DOOT!: A Hex rooting its power in spook! Anytime a generator is completed, all survivors hear an *UNHOLY DOOT* After 2 generators are completed the hex activates! Any generator completed once the perk is active summons 3 little skeletons from the ground at all currently lit generator locations. They will find and attack Survivors for 1 health state, Survivors cannot be downed by the skeletons. The skeletons last for 60 seconds each, before being called back to the fog by the entities own Much Louder DOOT. When a survivor vaults a window, the skeletons collide with the window, exploding, blinding all within a 5 meter radius for 2 seconds! Skeletons will crawl over and under pallets, to continue chase! Survivors unlucky enough to be hit by the bones, suffer from hemorrhage and mangled status effects. A map-wide terror radius will appear during this time or until all skeletons are destroyed via colliding with windows or being kicked. Hex effect remain active until the related totem is destroyed.(these skeletons move at 100% speed) (maximum of 15 total skeletons will be summoned when the last generator is complete!).

Honestly? Just report them. Theres chat logs for a reason. so if whatever you, and they say is true, will be found out if you send it in. Theres also sandbagging (which can be funny in the right circumstances) (I once killed a Meg with a Pebble) and working with the killer, both are reportable offenses.
Other than that just ignore the racists/liberals and dodge next time you see em.
No amount of reports or censorship is going to stop these sorts of people. Whether they're leftist nazis, or right-wing commies, they hate everyone.

Ghostface!
Brand New Camera: Nightshroud Cool down has been reduced by 50%. You can no longer expose survivors by stalking. After stalking a survivor that survivor's aura will be revealed for the duration of the stalk, hitting a survivor no longer removes stalk progress. "Noice"-The Ghost Face
Ancient Camera: When a survivor reveals you during chase, the Ghost Face, and the survivor that is being chased, are blinded for 2 seconds. Survivors that stun or blind the Ghost Face cause the Camera to momentarily explode, blinding any survivor within a 5-meter radius for 2 seconds. Attacking to break Nightshroud does not trigger this effect. "The camera isn't mine I swear"-The Ghost Face
Trapper!
Entities Jaws: Survivors caught by bear traps suffer from the broken status effect for 80 seconds and hindered for 10. (Basically, even if the trapper picks them up, or they get rescued, or escape, they will always suffer those effects)
Steel-Toe Boots: The Trapper is no longer stunned when stepping in his own traps, instead the trap is just disarmed. "Why didn't I think of this before?"- Trapper
Doctor!
Zues Lightning: Greatly Narrows the beam of Shock Therapy. Shock Therapy Damages survivors for 1 health state. Shock Therapy cool down is slightly increased. This addon Trumps other Addons
Zues Nova: When static blast makes a survivor scream, that survivor's aura is revealed for 2 seconds. Static Blast no longer inflicts Madness. "Come over here! I promise I will heal you!"-Ze Ubermench (medic mains rise up)
Wraith!
Vertebra Shackle(yur god damn right): Hitting a survivor with a surprise attack causes all injured survivors to scream and reveal their auras for 4 seconds.
Ethereal Bell: While the Wraith Uncloaks, illusions of himself begin uncloaking behind any injured survivors. "Who spiked my beer?"-Some guy probably
Hillbilly!
Glowing Fuel: When the Hillbilly begins his chainsaw sprint, illusions of himself sprint towards 2 randoms survivors, colliding with them and causing them to scream revealing their location for 3 seconds, if the Hillbilly stops his sprint early the illusions also vanish. The Hillbilly cannot see these illusions. These illusions share the Hillbillies Terror Radius (imagine the spooks)
Diamond Tipped Blades: Survivors hit by the Chainsaw are inflicted with Deep wounds and the Broken status effect until the next time they are downed. The Chainsaw no longer downs survivors.
Bubba!
Diamond tipped Blades: Same as Billy, because Chainsaws and all that jazz.
Spirit!
Auric Glass: When the Spirit comes out of Yamaoka's Haunting a false Spirits will appear behind the nearest 2 Survivors outside of a chase and strike at them, causing them to scream and reveal their location for 2 seconds. This false Spirit cannot damage survivors. (BOO!)
Ancient Mask: The spirits blood awakens and boils, after killing 2 survivors, if any generators are left standing, the next time the Spirit uses Yamaoka's Haunting she turns into the Oni for the rest of the Trial. Her perks, offerings, and Addons will be removed during this time. This addon trumps all other perks and addons.
Nurse!
Breath of Silence: After hitting a survivor with a successful blink, if you are undetectable your noises are also reduced by 90% until the next time you hit a survivor. This has a cool down of 5 seconds. (stelth)

The mori thing would just be a better version of Devour Hope, as the survivors wouldn't be able to get rid of it,
Currently it already is a better verson of Devour, way better in fact. With it being reworked to be similar, the killer will still have to work for it. Devour games go 2 ways, it works or it doesn't.
-
I got simple SWF fixes and the jazz that they usually pack.
instead of giving survivors a penalty for working on gens together, give them speed bonuses. Give survivors the same or bigger debuffs for working on gens solo, they aren't all mechanics, and I'm sure fixing a engine is easier with help. Encourage surv to surv interaction. The biggest frustation killers have with SWF is not the tbagging, the flashlight clicking, in fact personally I enjoy playing against those sort, I actually get to chase and hit dudes. No, the worst are the hide and seek type, the ones that know how to loop, when, and where to hide, split up, play like its a damn tournament, they waste so much of a killers time just finding and hitting 1 survivor can cost a whole game, and if you didn't bring a solid detection perk you are literally screwed, especially if the one you find is the one they want you to find or has sprint burst, you might as well have not played the game.
Just rework OoO, make it so it: doesn't light up at all when its active or if the killer is facing you. Make it so the killer can see the OoO user AT ALL TIMES whether the Survivor is looking at them or not. Give it some real drawbacks.
Rework keys: they only work for 1 survivor, once he/she uses it to dip thats it, the hatch closes without triggering EGC, the other survs will either need be carrying another key or hope they find one or finish them gens. It will still open anyway if theres 1 survivor left of course. Once a surv leaves their team behind via hatch, instead of bonus/survival points, they just get the sole survivor bonus and half the survival points from escaping, the ultimate selfish act.
Make moris' a token type deal where you need 5 hooks to activate it.
DS is simple as hell, it deactivates if they perform the following actions: doing gens, bones, healing, and jumping into a locker. Ez pz problem solved.
Noed sucks, and if you happen across a Nancy with a map you will never need worry about a hex ever again (that Nancy might also be a special kinda useless that makes baby Blendettes look good. But at least the Nancy does bones)
Also buff Insidious, that bug we had for 2 days where it would activate it immediately once you stopped moving made it a solid C+ tier perk, shudderwalking up to dudes or stopping mid chase at a gen with progress was the funniest shiet ever, many pooped pants were collected. Although it made every killer I played feel like scratch mirror myers without the aura reading... Shudderwalking is slow work... All the gens just flew right over my head. Spooks were totally worth the 2 days of depipping tho.

You do realize most content creators have thousands of hours, meaning its their skill that wins the game, right?
Content creators also tend to not post their losses... Otzdarva has had a lot of hella bad games let me tell you. Hell they all get roflstomped throughout the day, they just manage to black pip and stay in reds, thats where the skill lies, its not about killin once you reach rank 1, its about getting that black pip.

HEX: BEWARE THE DOOT!: A Hex rooting its power in spook! "how dare survivors have perks and try to use them"
which killer perks do everyone hate again? and complain about nonstop?
the difference is the survivor perks are designed as defensive perks and are being used offensively just to be toxic where as the killer perks exist for the sake of doing the killers objective
Also no matter what perk a killer brings, they still have to work for the down. Insta down doesn't make you immune to pallets, BT, DS, or DH (unless they lag) unless you're Bubba, or Nurse... But Nurse has fatigue and a CD so if she misses a blink shes fugged.

Not at the moment, no. Right now the game is using the old rank based matchmaking. Once the system is turned back on, it'll go back to tracking each killer individually.
This my be subjective but ever since the matchmaking was "turned off and on again" its been pretty solid. Will permanent/hidden ranks still be a thing in the future?
-
Theres people that think Pig is OP. Think about that for a second. If you took a Spirit with Stridor to an indoor map, brought spine chill, Iron will, which against stridor still reduces your sounds by 50% of their normal value, then that spirit is not going to know what the heck is going on. Spirit is not OP, statistics even show that. Mori's, Noed, all the charts say them things actually kinda suck.

How can you close the Hatch when 4 Gens are up and 2 Survivors are alive?
But overall, IMO no player in the Trial should depip if one player DCs.
The order of events that had played out are a bit scrambled due to a lack of caffeine. Actually I'll just not try and say what happened, the screenshots are enough xD
-
@RakimSockem said:
If she got 18k BP with 4 gens still up, she definitely had to have done something. Hell she was probably carrying the team considering 2 people DCd and the one who died had 8k.
As far as someone DCing so someone else can get hatch, that clearly didn't happen in this match because according to your screenshot, there was someone on hook still after the 2 people had DCd. Hatch wasn't even spawned at that point so she just got lucky with the RNG god/goddess
Yeah I just edited that smol bit out, it was irrelevant to my post. Sorry about the confusion.

60 seconds of decisive strike is ridiculous, I hang a survivor, I go for another and I chase him, I hang him, his wounded friend comes and I throw him, I am going to pick him up and he still has ds. I find another survivor, I chase him, I hang him, so I hit another survivor twice and take it to the hook (I think it was a considerable time if you compare at how fast a generator is repaired) after that I go to a engine and I see that someone is repairing, I beat him up and he has ds ... I am extremely fast throwing to the ground survivors or the ds is ridiculously long?, at no time did I tunnel, I was in pursuit with other survivors and even hang them but the ds is still active? 60 is unfair, I understand that it lasts about 30 seconds to avoid in tunnel, but 60 seconds is a total abuse 🙄
It is more profitable as a killer to camp the survivors? making 12 hangs in less than 4 minutes is very hard in red/purple ranks. The survivor can be hung twice and continue in game and if you add that besides they have an extra 1 minute of invulnerability and the 5 generators can be repaired in less than 4 minutes is a clear injustice here 🤨

A Vampiric killer based off the Deceivers Nosgoth and the Legacy of Kain series!
A Mischievous Killer, able to debilitate survivors with his movements and presence! Power: Shadowrun, his inhuman hunger for blood fuels his strength, gaining mischievous power from stalking and injuring survivors. Injured survivors leave trails of blood that the deceiver can consume to fuel his strength, downed survivors can be drained of essence to change form and sate his thirst. The Deceiver starts the trial at crippled speeds, granted undetectable, it is able to move as survivors do, during this phase it can walk, sprint, vault, crouch, lean, stalk, and even interact with certain map objectives, albeit, in a mischievous manner.
Tampering with boxes, generators, and even pallets and windows, causing survivors that interact with these objects to suffer from either Exhausted (missing a skillcheck on a healing action after being hit by the Deceiver will cause the survivor to suffer from hemorrhage until fully healed), Blindness (missing a skillcheck on a tampered generator with actually blind a survivor), or Oblivious depending on the object during interaction, and for 5 seconds after interacting with them. Once a survivor interacts with an object it will remain tampered for 10 seconds.
Able to stalk his prey and learn their tactics, once stalked a survivors aura is shown for the duration (default duration is 30 seconds) (it takes 5 seconds to stalk a survivor) he can change his form into a marked survivor, downing the marked survivor hides their presence from their team, tamping with objects, performing destruction, and attack actions on anything that is not the marked survivor removes this disguise.
Consuming blood from injured survivors grants the Deceiver terror radius, short burst of speed, and slowly removes former abilities, aiding in the hunt for prey.
Once enough essence is consumed the Deceiver permanently changes form. Gaining much greater movement (114% to be precice), terror radius (24 meters), trading former abilities for new ones (can no longer vault obsticles, use mimic, or tamper with objects, but can still crouch). In this form the deciever no longer moves as a survivor, use Mimic, and can no longer tamper with objects. Intead it now stalks survivors in order to use his new ability: Shadowstep, quickly closing gaps in chases in order to strike down prey.
The Deceiver can use Shadowstep to move at inhuman speeds into a marked survivor Within a Range of 13-16 meters give or take. The Victim Must Be Within Line of sight. Once hit, the mark is removed, and the deciver must either give chase to stalk again, or finish running down its prey. Counters would include, early game pressure, healing a lot, spinechill, and comms, also running in straight lines.
Addons include stuff and things that does jazz like:
Faster stalking.
Greater speed at which he consumes essence.
Amount of essence consumed.
Instant downing after using Shadowstep at a certain distance.
Outright killing a survivor after they've been completely drained, stalked (it will take 15 seconds of stalking to kill a survivor this way), and downed using Shadowstep.
(to change form it takes the equivalent of getting two survivors at 3rd hook, depending on the addons and how often they heal, thats could nearly 9-12 hits and a lot of chasing if they don't heal).
Using his Shadowstep ability to go through walls at the cost of distance.
Ability to read auras after stalking (in his evolved state).
Or trading his new abilities altogether in order to keep certain stealth abilities (undetectable while crouching, and stalking survivors to reveal their auras for the stalks duration) at the cost of half his speed (putting him at 107% movement).
We could also give Ghost Face an addon that reveals auras instead of exposes for the duration, or Busted Camera addon that blinds both him, and the survivor that blinds or stuns him, seemed like a funny one. The number of times I've blinded myself with firecrackers is too dang high!
I'm bad with words, but also... (RIP Nosgoth, Rocket League did you dirty)
Eyyy just got done tinkin about the perksEdgy Perk Name #1: If a survivor breaks chase, the next time that survivor performs a cooperative interaction their location is revealed for 2, 4, and 6 seconds per level of perk. This can only happen once per survivor every 30, 21, and 16 seconds respectively.Edgy Perk Name #2: If a survivor remains injured for more than 60, 45, and 30 seconds per level of perk, the next time they perform an action for more than 12, 9, and 5 seconds respectively, they will emit your terror radius as if you were on top of them, the injured survivor afflicted will not be aware of this terror radius. Survivors performing cooperative actions afflicted by the terror radius perform 3% slower per survivor. Idk maybe.Edgy Perk Name #3: After hooking a survivor, any survivor not performing any action objective (gens, totems, healing, searching dem boxes, ect.) will immediately and brutally be raped by the entity. Scream, revealing their location for 2, 4, and 6 seconds per level of perk. For those do nothin' Blendettes that are shitting in the tall grass. -
For a well rounded and generally great setup with most addons, and if you have the perks unlocked,
Corrupt Intervention: it gives you trap setup time, and is generally a very good perk, build your web, and they will never leave it.
Nurses Calling or Monitor and Abuse: both are interchangeable IMO, and incredibly strong on her.
Save The Best For Last, no Hag can go without it (depending on addons), its probably her strongest perk.
Dark Devotion, it causes chaos, no terror radius, and if you end up going against an Object of Obsession user it will completely counter them.
(your greatest weakness apart from flashlights, is OoO ,and SWF, being able to call out your positioning hurts like hell, and smart survivors will even bait traps to deny hits after setting them off, STBFL and Dark Devotion slays in these situations because they are practically throwing themselves at you and not doing generators, you just need the right perks to capitalize on it)
If you don't have those perks, the basegame perks along with Hags own perks are great in many combinations, a really fun one (if you setup fast enough) is the Hex defense build, grab any addons (Mint rag is usually best, but if they are smart they'll make you teleport to it to force a CD while they cleanse the other totems, so be wary of that) Hex: Thrill of The Hunt, it'll let you know if someones touching the bones. Hex: Devour Hope, once active you will slay, defend it with your life and watch out for them Nancy players, they cheeki. Deerstalker, they will end up swarming either the totems, or the hooks, this will help in those situations. Sloppy Butcher or Hex: Ruin, both are good for slowing the game down, one keeps them injured longer, the other slows the gens once things get rolling, but using Ruin means you have 3 totems to protect instead of 2.
If you happen to bring ruin in any sorta build, it works best with a ton of pressure, since Hag has a harder time creating that on her own early on in a match, its best to always keep at least 1 survivor slugged when given the opportunity until you get a kill, this will force all but 1 survivor off of the generators/ precious bones.
As far as addons go, depending on the build, they all kick ass in any sort of combination, just experiment and pick what feels best, I personally like the range and aura addons. I do recommend if you use Water Logged Shoe, that you also use Scarred Hand along with it, great for basement builds.

Can we see ghosts IRL? Sometimes, usually just swamp gas.
Can we hear ghosts IRL? Sometimes.
Do they kill people IRL? Rarely, usually just swamp gas, its very common in the desert.
Is it terrifying for me to play against? Yes.
Is it fun as heckin heck? Hell yeah it is.
Do I want her to mori me because it gives me chub? Absolutely, that could just be desert swamp gas talking though.
Prayer beads already got nerfed and so did her vault animation, now she ain't as scary, and her vault is a goblin hop that induces laughter. She used to make people guess, it was a mind game the killer was in charge of, if they knew what they were doing. You don't need spinechill or iron will, just run. Run to the pallet, sit there a sec, then run away to a window, works 75% of the time.
Because the killer can't afford to chase you forever, you need to waste as much time as possible. A dedicated chase however, against a killer like Spirit or Nurse, will never last forver, but with Deadhard, BT, and unbreakables on your team, you can make a chase last long enough for 3 gens to get done if your team is smart, and since they will be forced to slug or proxy camp because of that, BT and unbreakable comepletely destroy them, its sad really, image 4 good loopers, they don't even need to be SWF, just have common sense.
LOS blockers and windows are your friends in the chase against spirit, nurse now too because she cant tap the blink button to go through simple windows or walls anymore because of some bug. (unless it is intentional, in which case BHVR I beg you please reconsider.) (Banshee skin for Nurse when?)
Nurse was nerfed to the ground with a CD. She was the absolute most balanced killer without addons before her everything was reworked. Omega blink still can rock socks, but only if you land those damn blinks, otherwise its dead blink zones, and just dead blinks, with 75% ground vision and a CD on top of it. I honestly rarely see spirit, so I don't know why she gets so much flak. I've seen Spirit and Billy maybe once in 2 weeks, 1 leatherface, 4 doctors, 10 huntresses, 2 trappers, 3 ghostfaces, 1 mikey, 1 pig, no freddies, 1 clown (I have a childhood hatred for Clowns so the Clown can get deleted for all I care) 1 legion, and no nurses (Please play nurse for the love of god and bring a mori. I want her to choke me) And not one of those Huntresses had Iri heads either. Starting to believe them Iri posts to just be bandwaggon spam.
-
I only see an Iri huntress once in a blue moon so I don't mind it at all, terrifying playing against it, gotta keep on them toes. On pc so the playerbase is a bit bigger, maybe its the only killer that can get kills on console without a bunch fps issues and anxiety? I played both, let me tell you, pc is so much better than console for many reasons.

It's not the killer that's the problem, it's how they're used.
Like, seriously. Rubbing against someone with a chainsaw is just unfair and unfun. And saying that I'm "out of position" is just bullsh*t. Holding a chainsaw for THAT LONG isn't any measure of skill or error.
Same goes for Hags who trap-camp. It's LAZY and dumb.
So, yeah. All killers are fair base, but certain add-ons and perk combinations just make them stupid to go against.
Hag... Trap Camp?! What?... You mean placing a trap at the hook? The best way to find a new survivor? Keeping valuable pressure up? Getting a free slug if the injured doesn't get body blocked by the unhooker? I had a game as hag with 2 Yui OoOs, a bearded blue dwight with OoO, and a Blendette, 2 Decisive Strikes, 2 unbreakables, 2 BTs, one of them did that machine gun flashlight click thing, they ran through the traps at the right distance to prevent a hit, they tried the gen in your face sprint burst/sabo bully shenanigans.
You know what happened? The gens still got done, there was 3 of them that did near absolute jack, and the gens still got done, I had that whole team injured and "pressured" throughout the whole match, and those things still popped like pop-rocks, I killed them all, let the entity take the Blendette because the hooks near the gate were used for the others. The only reason I won that game at the end with 3 damn OoOs was because I placed a trap at hooks. Most stressful game of my life, got the 4k, and you know what else I got? Brutal killer. Because I looked at the time and the game lasted about 7 minutes. Gens done, hatch and gates closed and I got brutal killer for fighting through the dongs and slapping 3 Yui on some hooks and letting the Entity have his Blendy. Those survivors were probably laughing their asses off the whole time while I was sitting behind a screen shaking with murderous anxiety like a stressed out ravenous old hag that was let out of a basement for the first time in years (pun absolutely intended)

Its a multiplayer Horror game. What sets it apart from most is you can dedicate yourself to play as the monster. You can be the movie horror, get that groovy movie ending with the Lone Survivor. Naturally when you first pick up the game to play as survivor you want those spooks, the adrenaline, the fear, the chase, the better you get, the easier it is to run literal circles around the monster, the monster isn't some static bot that can be predictable, its a player. Eventually you can just dick with the monster without batting an eye, you will be having a laugh, but the guy on the other end trying to kill you is having the most frustrating time of his day because once a killer reaches greens, survivors become an ungodly painis in the anus to kill, and while not all are loop gods, those that are, and that are toxic, make you want to chase and kill them.
I typically play survivor to take a break from killer, have a laugh, and get murdered. Getting doc/spirit with a ebony, or noed, is fun for me, going against prenerf prayer beads was some damn exciting shiet. I also enjoy running baby killers around, show em the loops, then snackrifice myself because the gens typically get done and they only walk out with like 2 hooks, killers gotta eat too namsaiyan. I just don't mind getting murdered, I find it hilarious. Getting choked by Nurse is also damn kinky. More nurses need to bring Moris. I can't really relate to frustrated surv mains because what they find frustrating I find funny.
As a killer you want to feel powerful, deadly, threatening, but you only get that feeling below rank 13 when its the ez life. As a survivor you only feel scared when you first start out, then it just becomes either a cake walk or a shonky mess if you don't have the time or money invested into some perks. And since ranking up as surv only takes getting the gens done and getting the heck out, more baby survs are getting pulled in with frustrated high ranking murderous killers that will gladly roflstomp their heads in. With gens and getting the heck out being enough to rank up, the speeds it can get done by, they don't actually have to care anymore about altruism unless they are in it for points. With the plethora of information both sides get from each other, terror radius, heartbeat, red stain, extra loud chase music both sides feel, OoO, BBQ, whispers, spinechill, darksense, nurses calling, ect. it takes away much from the horror feel, the environment, the entity funk. The lack of a second obj, the repetitive and boring nature of holding m1 for 80 damn seconds with the current obj, and the complicated over saturated mess that is the rank and perk system, shiet just won't be a proper jump scaring, whats that dang hag planning horror game until both sides get stripped of their aura reading and sound notifications and a second obj gets put in.
A simple ez fix could be 2 perks, 1 for killer, and 1 for survivor. The killers perk will grant 50% bonus bloodpoints at the cost of recieving no noise or aura reading/notifications, so bbq can stack but won't grant the aura reading, such as gens exploding and unhooks and that good stuff. The survivors will grant 100% bloodpoints at the expense of all killers you face basically having undetectable, so OoO won't work, and spinechill will either become crucial, or you can wing it for more unpredictability. Think of it like putting on nightmare mode but with groovy bp that the survivor side desperately needs to make it more lax.

Keep it up, reminds me of The Wolfman. 11/10 would get mori'd by

Almost forgot the extra spooki image

You just described what they are planning on doing? Hiding the MMR though will piss a lot of people off and will hurt their "stream community" since they won't have any actual source of external validation. In all honesty, matchmaking is the least of our concerns. If they implement the system, they're not going to pair you with whom you should be paired with. They're going to pair you randomly, and if you get paired with a rank 20 killer and you do horrible....you'll lose a lot of invisible points. And if you do incredible vs the rank 20, you'll gain the smallest bump. They've already stated this is how it's going to be. So, who cares. What they arbitrarily decide to be "good" at the game may, or may not, actually line up with what the playerbase feels.
There are so many issues with this game, and until they take 3-6 months to fix bugs, ways to prevent bullying/stalling/slugging/tbagging/whatever...it's just gonna be the same ol' stuff. Queue times are a problem because of the number of players, that's it. That's why a lot of red ranks get paired with green rank killers, especially on console.
Killers need to slug nowadays to stall the game, otherwise it only lasts 5 minutes.

With the current ranking and matchmaking system, we are already kind of experiencing what it feels like to just match everyone together, no matter how skilled/experienced everybody is.
The only people that have fun in this scenario are those who enjoy stomping weaker players.
Having no ranks at all would worsen the situation. The right thing to do would be to take the time to come up with a good ranking system and then match players properly with each other. If then there is a lack of killers at the end of the day, the devs will have to make changes so that more people want to play killer.
Hours by K/D ratio, plain and simple imo.

Statistically speaking Nurse is the worst killer in the game. Both in pick rate and kills.
All because of that dirty CD on top of ground vision most of the game and "aim assist" which makes you smack barrels instead of meat.

Do you want an "I win" button with that too?
We want an actually terrifying killer that makes survivors get into the every man for himself mentality. The Lone Survivor movie ending. If the gates are open gtfo, that kinda jazz.
