what are they changing to fixated? i read the patch notes and it says
Fixated: Now works while healthy
is it still only works while healthy or does it now work while injured?
-
but if you wanna go there, this game isn't competitive, wasn't made to be either so sweating for the 4k or genrushing is really just a way to get people to hate you. Slugging isn't NECESSARY but it is certainly an amazing tactic that could help win matches, But like i said, this game is CASUAL, so there basically no reason to do it outside of needing pressure or just out of being a jerk
-
well, once ds and unbreakable are used, then you have no excuse to slug unless you need pressure
-
Slugging isn't really useful unless you need to negate ds, and even then unbreakable exists and thus can completely remove your pressure. Also its way better to just hook, as it puts progress into the sacrifice and gives more bp

I think the best solution to this whole problem is to not look at it as a problem.
Just let everyone play how they want and use and abuse whatever ppl feel like.
No hypocrisy required.
I'm kind of tired of the same post w different words w the following comments being the same argument.
Killer or survivor? Who are the toxic hypocrites...
Probably the one who comes to the forums to complain about the same exact thing that someone else complained about 5 post down.
i totally agree and the only reason i made this is to call people out for being hypocrites, not to talk about whats op or toxic

I'm getting real sick of people seeing BBQ and PGTW together and assuming that they're some sort of big power combo. If you're looking for the actual combo, it's PGTW/Thrilling Tremors. BBQ is pretty much just there for points - it has so much counterplay, and so many people automatically expect it, that it is probably one of the least useful tracking perks in terms of actual tracking.
you're right, i should've said that. i just said bbq because its used way more than thrilling tremors

@Bard said:
They aren't even close.
DS Unbreakable is an absolutely disgusting combo with no counterplay for the killer.
You either:
- Leave them alone, letting them work on gens for 60 seconds both times DS is ready
- Slug them, investing a ton of time for no pressure gain because Unbreakable
- Camp their slugged body, wasting EVEN MORE time and becoming vulnerable if they brought Soul Guard.
In case you haven't noticed... NONE of these are good for the killer. Unless you're a dipshit who can't hit the easiest skill check in the game, you are guaranteed 60 seconds of complete safety.
Meanwhile...
- Pop has tons of counterplay. Don't go down and feed the killer pop. Don't just randomly tap gens to let the killer multi-pop. Commit to gens to finish them before the killer can pop them. Use Repressed Alliance.
- BBQ isn't overpowered in the slightest. The only reason it's meta is for Blood Points, and if you're such a sadsack that you're gonna complain about the other side getting BLOODPOINTS, that's pathetic. To avoid the aura reading...
- Hide behind gens
- Hide in lockers
- Run Distortion
- Run Off The Record
- Change directions after 4 seconds
- Get within the minimum range
- Ruin Undying isn't even that strong. It's entirely possible to get rid of the hex, and even if you don't want to do that you can just do gens through it. If you pair up on a gen, you'll be able to finish gens quickly enough that even Blight usually won't make it in time to stop you, and even if he does, you can prevent Ruin from doing anything by having the second guy hide until Blight chases the first guy off, or you can run Repressed Alliance.
i wasn't talking about whether something is op or not, this is purely a post about how its hypocritical to use a build such as ruin/undying then complain about ds/unbreakable

I can tell you play this game at a low level if you think base gen speed is fine lol and it's also pretty clear you're a survivor main that's never rougher killer before
gens take 80 seconds to do without perks or items, that is enough time

i literally play them both equally and never saw gen speed as a problem, just as you sound like you only play killer at low ranks
-
and please just use your brains for a minute
First of all, no this is about power combos not "omg this is op"
Secondly, on another note, Balancing around high level play isn't really that good as ~70% of players are green to brown ranks so it would be stupid for you to balance a minority and expect it to effect a majority in a positive way
Thirdly, before anyone asks no i don't care what you use and how you use it i just think its a matter of hypocrisy to abuse a power combo then complain about another, nothing about balance

The power role should always be the Killer. Period. That's the whole point of a 1v4. That's the whole point of this being a casual game and not a competitive game.
In a perfect match the survivors and killer would all be using perks, add-ons, items, and offerings. Without them it wouldn't be perfect. It only takes 2 survivors in a match playing well to ensure all 4 escape - that's not good. It only takes 1 - 2 person swf to completely negate a Killers existence, which is also very much not okay. Fungoose mentioned this on Sunday or Monday - you can go back and watch the streams.
DS never was intened, never was, and never will be an "anti-tunneling" perk. It is, inteneded, and forever will be a perk to "extend a chase". Which is also why it's being looked at to be - nerfed, because survivors have been abusing it for immunity and to get away with performing unsafe saves. Same with Unbreakable it's not a "anti-slug perk". Both of these perks are not required to balance the game. A perk that is required to balance the game is like a perk that slows down a primary objective that by default is too fast. For example. Gen speed. Lower base Gen repair speed, and they could remove all the regression perks from the game - and it would make no difference. How it is currently you have to use regression perks to slow the game down so the Killer has a chance to even be viable in the match. Do you have to take DS? No. You don't. There are more than enough pallets in the game for you to run the Killer for over 12 minutes (tested by Otz and OhTofu), and get out without being downed once. You don't need DS. Bad players need DS for the second chance escaping from hook, when they get caught in the first place. This is the same for Dead Hard, and Borrowed Time. Iron Will is a perk bad players use to be able to hide from the Killer mid chase, instead of learning how take advantage of Killer's blind spots. As another example.
i just love how you took the time and effort to explain to us that "killers should be more powerful" as if most matches aren't solos
and shitting on perks that give you an advantage is kinda idiotic like, oh wow the survs have ds/unbreakable means that they will win, or saying "you are bad because you use them" isn't a valid statement.
Killers should NOT be more powerful than survs because of balance, if you make it to where killers are more powerful then it would look more like a 1v1v1v1v1 than an actual 1v4
Also its technically considered 1v1 because survs must work as a team
nobody brought up dh, bt, and iron will
like those are all perks that have their counters

Killers use gen defense perks because base gen speed is unbalanced. So can't really call them hypocrites as they're pretty much forced to use them unless they want 5 minutes games. Survivors on the other hand can abuse the day unbreakable combo and up to 4 survivors can have this and sometimes you get hit by DS even though you didn't tunnel
gen speeds aren't unbalanced and using a very powerful perk combo and THEN complaining about ds/ub is hypocrisy.
Secondly, ds and ub isn't really that powerful. Like wow i got ds'd and now the chase is lengthened boo hoo

I have started to play doc for something new, but i have some questions for experienced doc users.
Is he viable without shock addons?
Are there any loops that you can't beat quickly using shock and should just instantly break?
i don't think he needs range addons but he does need addons in general, as without it, doctor is not as good, as madness effectively is worse than with addons
Also doc is amazing with his "Discipline", "Calm", and "Order" as "Discipline" is a must have because it helps you in a chase as well as rewarding you for good aim. "Calm" and "Order" is also must haves as it makes it helps you find survs with static blast and recovers it faster
and no "Restraint" is not as good as people think it is
The range addons are amazing but sub par when you are either good at predicting or being in range
Also the best perks with him is definitely Whispers (as it shows you when to use static blast) and Save the Best for Last (as it greatly benefits m1 killers)
As for loops, it all depends on what loop and tile you are in

Because it's effective at killing a single survivor, which makes it "not fun" for that survivor (in the sense that losing isn't fun, especially when your opponent constantly presses the advantage and you're either unwilling or unable to adapt). Regardless, it's not against the rules, so go ahead and do it. Maybe that survivor will learn to play more stealthily, but I doubt it.
getting chased to the point you can't do anything is unfun, its just as bad as genrushing
-
what perks do they have though

No perk build is toxic, you're all good.
Also, you pretty much run the same perks I run because I'm solo a lot of the time (except Detective's Hunch, I have one spot left to use a variety of different perks).

I have a lot on this I'd change lol
- Alex Toolbox should top.
- Green flashlight should be 2nd from top.
- Commodious should be 2nd from top.
- Green map should be 2nd from bottom.
- Rainbow map should be top.
- Purple key should be second from top.
- Ranger Medkit should be top.
- Alex's is very useless and only good on a sabo build
- yellow and green beemer's basically are the same just a smaller consumption rate
- commodious is the only toolbox thats viable rn
- green and pink maps basically are both useful but not amazing
- ^
- purple and pink keys do the same thing
- ranger medkits give you only two heals without addons or sc
- i made this as how good the items are by themselves and without addons or perks
- also just because its ultra rare doesnt mean its amazing
-

I approve this post. Toxic killers are just having fun, who cares if the survivors aren't? The devs are enablers of the gen rush hook and bait meta.
(the definition of a toxic killer is playing the objective how they choose to and not playing as requested by cry babies so that they can win)
Firstly, Toxicity isn't "killers having fun" it's using builds and playing in a way that's unfun to play against
Secondly, 1 killer vs 4 survivors, the fun of the 4 survs immediately outweigh the fun of the killer (and no i'm not saying to let survs escape but just to play in a was that's fun and fair to survs and yourself)
-
okay so you got up against a swf and decided to stoop to their level instead of just leaving and finding a new match, but instead of being smart you decided to post it on forums under a cringy title whilst only being able to muster 17k bp. You are really an entitled killer who believes every swf is a bully squad and ruin peoples fun. Not only that but instead of being the better person you posted it to a forum acting like you've erased swfs and saved the killer mains from bully squads. Not only did you stoop to their level, but you've become entitled yourself by bantering about being able to win against a swf.

Survivor perk: While on the hook your teammates gain these effects
15%/20%/25% repair rate and healing speed, and a 20% increase of the time it takes to go into struggle
and while in struggle your teammates gain 5% speed and a 25% unhook speed
after being unhooked, this perk has a 150 second cooldown, and you are afflicted with the broken status effect for 60 seconds
The repair rate and healing speed are not gained during struggle phase
Killer perk: Each time a survivor has been hit from healthy to injured gain a stack
Each stack gives you a 8% increase in vaulting, hooking, and breaking speeds
loose a stack once you hook a survivor
you can have up to 4/6/8 stacks at a time

I'm so insanely tired of this statement, especially when it comes to Borrowed Time and the new hook tech, as survivors can just run up to their teammate on the hook and get a free save completely unscathed in front of the killer's face.
well if the killer is near the survivor then ofc im gonna get use out of bt, and how annoying it must be to just hit them while saving, and then after they save

Don't forget a huge built-in survivor crutch. Oh no I did nothing the entire game and now my team mates are dead. Oh look a hatch!
oh yes the infamous hatch that literally rewards players for surviving or just plain luck. I couldn't imagine how much entitlement you must feel for not finding that one survivor who gets the hatch, or just the lack of you being able to see a square box that emits a loud sound and black mist

Before end of game? 2 gens are popping usualy before you catch first survivor. There is literaly no enough time until BHVR deletes stupidly fast gens.
did you forget corrupt, ruin/undying, the new thana, and new discordance which all slow down the game

noed really isn't that good anyway, especially considering that all gens have to be done and that you can just open exit then leave. Not only that, but getting one kill with noed is a loss considering if you did bad in the beginning, you're gonna do bad in the end
not to mention, 1 kill is still a loss for the killer

well you shouldn't get kills especially if you were trash, and good killers don't need noed as it's to the point that noed needs little to no skill to actually use it

I didn't read the entirety of your posts. It seemed..unnecessary given the subject matter. In any case, your second crash wasn't for 15 minutes, and your third wasn't for 30 minutes unless there were actual disconnects (intentional ones) in there somewhere.
It goes:
- 5 minutes
- 5 minutes
- 15 minutes
- 15 minutes
- 30 minutes
- 30 minutes
- 60 minutes
- 60 minutes
- etc etc.
not really considering i dced like 4 or 5 times this past couple three days and got a 6 hour dc penalty

if a streamer gets pissed off that easily then maybe they shouldn't play dbd

so her stereotype is that she's mysterious
-
so is there no Cheryl stereotypes?
-
But now what if survivors had their own little buffs that are different for each survivors? That would seem pretty cool

It seems pretty cool, but a penalty for running too much and a decrease in certain survivor's speed seems a little too excessive as a survivor already moves slower than a killer

So let me see if I got this right. You mean Object being gamebreaking in swf but not so much in soloq means it is fine?
Yes, mainly because the majority of players play solo queue and even then the cases of survivors using OoO is isolated. Also how it game breaking? In a swf they really don't need OoO as someone could just chase the killer and tell the other survivors everything that they see, or when its safe to do gens
-
It might be very strong in a swf, but it really has no use in solo queue and is pretty useless. It also might be strong, but it doesn't need a rework or a nerf because of how useless it is for the majority of players, especially the playerbase that mostly plays solo queue
