  • I'm quiting for a few reasons. Firstly it doesn't seem like the devs can really get anything right. And secondly swf parties are way too toxic. I wouldn't mind getting my ass outplayed by swf if they weren't complete ######### along the way. It's like a foreign concept to a survivor that they can outplay a killer without being a complete dick about it

If killer keeps getting neglected as much as it is, there won't be enough killers for the game to be playable by survivors. It's almost like alienating half of your playerbase by making one mode awful to play because of how survivor sided the game is isn't a good idea. I wonder why.

  • Thana, sloppy, and dying light work very well together on a killer like legion. Since he's all about injuring people they'll never be able to heal without wasting tons of time. Last perk could be whispers, bitter murmur, BBQ, or discordance depending on what you like. I prefer discordance with how bad auras are right now.

  • That's the problem. I don't think there's a single other MMR system in existence that completely ignores ranks.

Wouldn't you love to queue as a bronze in a game like league/overwatch/r6s and go against diamond/masters? That wouldn't be very fair now would it. Those games all have MMR systems too. Ignoring rank completely is not something you should expect from MMR

  • This is the only game I've seen where rank and MMR are entirely separate. Imagine queuing for ranked in league and you could get a challenger on the same team as a bronze because MMR isn't kept in check by rank

  • I watched otz get paired with nothing but survivors with a couple hundred hours multiple games in a row. Meanwhile, when I play killer I continuously get survivors with thousands of hours while performing badly.

So the better you do the easier the opponents get and the worse you do the harder? I really don't understand what BVHR was thinking

Yikes a foolish child using new lingo the wrong way and not understanding how developing a game works. If the game was as trash as it is it wouldn't be getting more and more popular. Until you can have a actual intelligent debate and understand how things work then come back. Maybe then we can have a proper debate instead of you being foolish.

"This is popular so it's good" is such a naive statement. And just because something is a good idea and can be enjoyable doesn't mean it can't have a lot of problems. You really are just way too biased on this subject.

Also, an intelligent debate? You don't actually break apart any of the things I said. You call me childish and call this a debate with no more than "game popular so it's good"

In our entire thread you've done little more than talk about how "good" the game is without addressing any problems I mentioned. You name call. And you make excuses for the dev team.

    The irony is amazing.

But what can I expect from someone who thinks "intelligence" is a response like "understand how things work"

  • I run spine chill, unbreakable, lithe, DS. I wanna drop DS for resilience but I need to get it on my main to t3 first and I've been spending on killers lol

The build is nice because you're quiet, and with resilience faster while injured. Spine chill + resilience vaulting Is always pretty nice

And spine chill not only is a great perk for helping you get away and hide early from a gen when the killer is coming but also the single handed best perk to counter stealth killers

Yes, for the 1st match at least. Enjoy it and relax.

"First match" no, this goes on for a while. Just watch otz's stream right now. A guy who is a great killer, plays often enough for an MMR system to work on him (in theory at least), and has thousands of hours is getting matched against baby survivors.

This lasts much longer than the first match

100% agree here. You have to play both sides to have some perspective on how things are in this game. Sure you can still main one side or the other, but you have to have decent hours on the other side before you go off complaining about something being OP or too easy

"Deathslinger has no counterplay" is only said by people who have literally never played deathslinger. They'd likely play the killer and get looped for all eternity and miss almost all of their shots.

I don't personally like playing him, but I sure as hell don't mind vsing him over a spirit, GF, and plenty of other better killers that take less skill to use.

This. Both are fine, one has a fairly easy counter and the other rarely comes into play.

How you aren't trusted is beyond me ngl.

A survivor should be happy to see noed. It means they didn't have to deal with a different, potentially more oppressive perk while they're working on gens. Imo I think it's a waste of a perk slot. If you're a half decent killer you just won't be playing around the idea that the survivors are going to power the exits. You have to be unsure of your own skills to take noed.

DS on the other hand I think needs one small change. If you're in a chase and hop in a locker it should either deactivate, or not work if the killer grabs you from the locker. (Out of chase is different, in chase it's just abused in this way) I play both sides about equal but I consider myself a killer main because I have more fun with it. DS is a necessary perk and I wouldnt try to say otherwise, but to make a survivor invincible for a minute because of a red box is a little absurd.

  • The fact that they implemented a system which locks the killer you're using before fixing this problem only speaks volumes on how negligent BVHR's development team is.

  • Legion is a very strong killer. As long as you're consistently injuring survivors, it doesn't matter that you don't get too many downs. You stop the progress of the game from consistently having them heal each other (take sloppy butcher and thana) and if they don't heal and instead genrush only 1 hit to down them. :)

I main hag. She's just really good imo. Good at keeping hooks safe, good at 3 genning survivors, good at downing quick with proper trapping, failing a chase doesn't hurt you that much because you can just give up and trap better. And she's really good at stopping loops, if a survivor loops you somewhere drop a trap and if they see you do it they'll leave the loop if not you get a free hit when they run through it. This is really helpful on big window loops in crotus prenn asylum, haddonfield, and the deathslinger place

I've been really enjoying ghost face lately too, really good pressure on survivors even without slow down perks. Spine chill counters you pretty hard but half the survivors I see run it don't even use it properly

  • @APoipleTurtle said:

So you could be considered to TECHNICALLY be proxy-camping, as you never made it more than like 20m from the basement after hooking someone.

However, that entire clip is just screaming justified basement lurking. The survivors kept running you near the basement (bad idea), leaving scratchmarks near the entrance to the basement to indicate someone was nearby (bad idea), and their actions led to multiple survivors getting downed/hooked in the basement against a Bubba (bad idea).

So yes, you technically did proxy camp all of your basement hooks. But that was because you were making the correct decision to punish the poor plays of these survivors. Camping for no reason (outside of EGC) is pretty mean, but these guys gave plenty of reason not to stray away from the basement (heck, they wouldn't even lead you on a chase away from their incapacitated teammates).

As far as I'm concerned, you made the right calls in that situation and outplayed your opponents. Their salt is just some poor sportsmanship following their poor decisions in that match.

Proxy camping is a strategy that works well in a lot of cases though. Face camping will not work for you in 95% of cases (except like when exit gates are open) but proxy camping can really bait survivors and get you more hits downs and hooks. It sucks to deal with as a survivor, but to act like there aren't plenty of things survivors do to killers that killers hate would just be naive so I think it's 100% fair game. I proxy camp because it works really well most of the time. When I don't it's because its not working well so I change my style up that game.

What this man said, when i play swf literally the first call out is weather basement is in shack or main building so you know where not to be looping if your already injured, and you for damn sure dont go down anywhere near the basement if its a bubba because most are running agitation.

To be honest its kind of an understood rule between me and my friends that if you go down to a basement bubba and hes proxy camping that your dieing first hook and were just using your hook time to knock gens out asap.

Basement bubba is simply to strong to really make any plays unless bubba just straight up misplays.

Basement GF is really strong too. You can sit crouched on the stairs.

The way I'll play is sit there for a bit if I get someone in basement and normally at least one person comes. If no one actually comes in a short amount of time though I don't let survivors gen rush. Survivors don't realize I only camp when they reward me for it. I'll test how they play by checking early and if they don't get greedy for unhooks I don't camp.

  • "camping" has a bad connotation to it, but don't let it get to you. Survivors who think you're suppose to play the game a certain way so they can have fun are all stupid. If you cant do any camping or slugging then survivors shouldn't be gen rushing, 99ing, or looping you on any infinites/near infinites. The fact is both sides have scummy tactics. If you have 2 or 3 hooked in the basement, camp it. There's literally no reason not to camp that. It's a more important objective than your gens as long as you have more than 1 left before exit gates are powered.

Anyone who complains about the tactics you use but goes on to use equally scummy tactics on their end are just garbage players. Ignore them.

People have gotten mad at me for camping a hook when exit gates are open. But seriously, what the ######### else am I suppose to do? Tunnel someone and lose my kill? You follow your strongest objective and the most survivors.

Don't get me wrong, 12 hooking is nice. It gives loads of BP and makes survivors happier to play the game, but even in games where I 12 hook survivors will be extremely toxic in post game. Whether you play 100% fair or use some camping to push an advantage, there will be garbage toxic survivors that expect you to let them win.

Yes because I'm a moron for actually trying to attempt getting everybody out. You are so [BAD WORD] clever aren't you. You are probably one of these entitled face camping killers in the first place.

That is in fact what I said, only idiots try to unhook against face campers. That's not an opinion, that's just a fact. Any good player will tell you this.

  • Pretty sure ruin regresses the exit gate. I saw it spark once when ruin lasted that long.

  • Okay, this is such a dumb thing to say. There are unfair things all sides do. Survivors should be allowed to 99 and gen rush as long as killers can camp and slug. They're the 2 staple scummy strategies on both sides. The fact is, in many situations these strategies can work wonderfully. So taking away a scummy strategy that works well from one side isn't quite fair if the other is left untouched.

Devour hope is a hit or miss with if it gets cleansed, but if it does make it to 3 tokens, it will probably make it to 5 too (if you hide it). And they dont just have to be injured, he also wants to be able to use shred and chainsaws and corrupt purge, making it very easy to hide, too easy.

I still see no problems with the expose status being hidden here. Why should the survivor have that information before at least one of them gets hit by it?

I'd be perfectly fine with one survivor getting hit and then the mark going on everyone's screen. This could mean any hit including cp, shred, etc. The only way to hide it could be hitting someone if they're already injured, and with a m1 if you think that'd be more balanced. I think a variation of this would be a lot better than how it works now.

Exposed with things like t3 Myers or ghost face should remain as is and notify them when they're exposed.

The thing that really sucks with how theexposed status works is iron maiden. It's such a cool perk but it's so god damn useless for what it's designed to do because any decent survivor knows if they're exposed after leaving a locker it's probably that perk. That perk is so bad for the simple fact it gives the survivor its own counterplay thanks to the status hud

Thinking that a dev team doesnt test for bugs or anything like that is foolish. Have you not took the time to see how many people are actually working on dbd last I checked there wasnt that many as triple a title games. There are always going to be bugs its just with how small the dev team is it takes time. If you cant accept the fact that it takes time then just simply don't play the game or get over the bugs and continue on with the game. The game has had bugs since Day 1 and will always have bugs either it be sound bugs visual or gameplay breaking.

Simping for your favorite developers huh. No arguments you make on this topic can be considered legitimate with a bias that big. People are allowed to enjoy a game and see it's shortcomings. If you can't see that, that's your own problem.

  • @Wubalubadubdub03 said:

Killer main here. Survivors already find both hex perks you mentioned annoying, and this would obviously buff both of them.

Devour Hope in particular shouldnt be changed because you would just hide it until you mori someone, extremely unfun for a survivor and probably a little broken.

I do find it annoying that it reveals devour on injured and m2 hits, but the perks is fine balance wise so you cant just buff it.

    "Just hide it until Mori"

Let's go over the perks requirements. In order to Mori you need 5 tokens. For exposed it's 3. You'd need 2 more hooks without revealing you have the 3 tokens already, and you'd also need to be lucky that the survivors don't just find the hex because 90% of the time it's in an easy to spot location. So you need 2 more downs and hooks on already injured survivors AND you need to have good rng for totem location. I'm not going to agree or disagree with this buff they want on exposed, but what I do have to say is "just hiding the exposed" isn't THAT easy. It still thought from the killer.

Devour hope is a hex. Not many people run it for that reason. It can be strong, but it's not that strong. More than half of your games you don't even get the exposed effect. Most of the games you do get the effect you down 1 survivor and they find the hex. It's so rare you actually are able to make any realistic use from this hex. To make it easier to hide that you're using it would be pretty fair, as is there's no reason to take it over so many other perks unless you're going for a very specific build on like demo

  • @ZephanUnbound said:

I'd say it's a viable tactic at the end of the game, if you're playing a mouse 1 killer and don't have NOED. If you don't stay right on the hook, somebody will save them for sure, and they'll probably have borrowed time which will allow them to all escape through the exit gate. Camping super closer to hook mid game though? That's pretty cheap imo.

That's not even true though, it depends on the generator layout. I've had a map where there were 3 gens really far away and all the others were super close. Hooked one survivor around the closeby gens. Patrolled that area somewhat camping, and I just let the survivors take those 3 gens. This lead to a game where the survivors quite literally couldn't win. Sometimes deciding to kill a survivor early and letting the others get certain gens is a strategy that benefits you (though it's not one you can use often as it depends a lot on rng)

for one I don’t know where to /could not find by googling, a video that proclaims any kind of camping penalty implemented for killers.

even if one were to be installed it can’t be the survivors abusing it if it was the right kind of penalty. That doesn’t make any sense. It’s a simple as - if the killer is within the radius of the hooked survivor for X amount of time, the killer receives the penalty UNLESS there is another survivor within the same radius. There. Done.

The penalty for camping is gen rushing. It's that simple.

If you instead decide to try and unhook against someone camping then the fault is your own.

If you aren't trying to rescue a team mate, you're a bit selfish. Punishing is a really cocky thing to say.

If you are trying to save a teammate against a face camper you're just a moron, plain and simple. Selfish has nothing to do with it. The only thing you need to try and unhook against a face camper is pure idiocy.

  • @Mister_xD said:

well, the explanation of that starts with the question "what is camping?" and already stops there, cause there is no clear definition to it.

ive seen many people get called camper / ive been called camper myself many, many times, even though they / i had no intention to camp and were / was just trespassing or doing normal killer stuff.

The 2 or 3 survivors going for the unhook that you know are there and aren't working on gens. You're a "camper" for following the objective and making the strongest most advantageous play. Dbd survivors are ######### mental sometimes.

  • @Azarath said:

Title says it all. Why is it allowed? Why is it even a strategy? (albeit not a good one). If the killer hooks you and proceeds to just stand there waiting for all eternity until you die, you're both just stuck there not playing the game at all. Sure the survivors can just rush the gens and get a free escape, but I really doubt the guy on the hook and the killer are both having fun with this play style. People bought the game to play an actual game and not sit there looking at their phones for 2 minutes

Edit: This post is calling out EARLY GAME CAMPING, not late game. It's understandable to everyone that the killer too needs his kills and punishes those that try to be brave and rescue. The hooked survivor earned their points, the killer has earned his points, everyone walks away with something gained. But when the killer hooks you early game and just sit there, it's a guaranteed depip. No chances to get chased, no chances to get creative, nothing.

Wow, are you crazy? You need to learn the difference between camping and face camping. Face camping is a bad strategy that loses you games. Under the right circumstances some forms of camping will win you many games.

Why is face camping allowed? Well because if it was something that got you banned, there would be loads of idiots that report for it against someone who was camping in a situation where camping was their best option. And then they'd get banned for playing killer in the way that benefitted them the most. Asking for camping to get bans is like asking for gen rushing to get bans. Fact is there is worse stuff out there, like the extreme toxicity on both sides. Killers unnecessarily slugging the last survivor just to be toxic. Survivors waiting at exits and tbagging till the killer shows. Survivors doing literally everything they can to just be a prick to the killer even after they have the option to escape.

In conclusion, when used properly camping is a very strong strategy whether you'd like to believe it or not. Face camping only loses you games due to genrushing. And asking for bans like this will only lead to innocent players getting banned.

Edit: I also thought of a case where face camping is the best strategy. Is there a survivor in your game that's looping the hell out of you and they're the one person you really just can't deal with? Face camp them. Sure it's scummy, but it's also a strategy that can win you the game. Giving up 1-2 gens to get rid of the best survivor early on.

Honestly thinking that devs dont test things before releasing hotfixes or patches is kinda dumb. You do realize they could have patched the one way to do the dc exploit and people found a work around to do it again right? Its just like in other games players find glitches and it gets patched then another method is found couple days later/

It's not dumb to think this. If they were really testing (or at least putting effort into testing) they would find these workarounds. That is quite literally why you test these things. Testing isn't done to make sure the already fixed problems are fixed. Testing is done to find new ones and fix them. Workarounds only exist because testing wasn't done properly or at all. Now if you're talking about workarounds for hacking, that's completely different as hackers are actively making ways to work around their system. But with bugs, the workarounds already exist. It's just that they didn't find these workarounds because they're either not testing enough or at all.

Edit: my point is, the ONLY reason these bad bugs exist is either lack of testing or lack of effort into fixing them. Bugs exist because of developers, not players. all players do is discover the bugs. It's the play testers jobs, quite literally their job to discover these bugs before the patch is released. This is what a play testers is paid to do. If you're going to defend someone not doing their job then your stupidity is beyond me.

Maybe I just sucked but considering how difficult it got to carry if you were far ahead compared to a few seasons earlier it just wasnt fun for me anymore and aphelios was just the tip of the stupid iceberg.

But to the matter of fact which this thread is about, It really sucks about the dc penalty being gone again, although I understand why. I so dearly wished they had fixed their mistake and the bug with it, but I guess Billys add-on changes werent the only ones not making it into the patch :(

Did somebody say "200 years combined experience in video game development"? Because in steps Yone, you know yasuos brother with Yasuos passive, Q, Old evelynns ult on W, and zeds ult on his E. Whats his ult you ask? Well we watched a lot of anime and came up with a knock up aoe burst mix damage stun where Yone says "Nothing personal". Ressources? nah but he does do true damage as well as a mix of physical and magical

I've seen him get a Penta at level 1, and a Penta with only his ult.

It's been years since riot has released a champion at around 50% winrate. It's either abysmally bad or ridiculously good. Voli was awful when he was first reworked. Then they buffed him and for a short period he became the best jungler in the game.

Lillia I think is the one exception to riots bad game design. While her winrate is VERY low, she's not bad. She's just weird to play.

  • @SaltedSnow said:

Imo while the piece is strong, what they really need is a tell that lets survivors know myers is using them. Other than that, the pink is kinda meh, the purple is stronger but at the end of the day if you know Myers had them you'd be able to jump in a locker or something when you saw it.

If we're going to start showing survivors the stronger add ons a killer takes then killers should be given the exact same information on the survivors end. While we're at it, killers should be shown who is partied together in lobbies. Surviving with friends is much stronger than any add on, perk, or ability in the game.

I wouldn't be surprised. They disabled it before because streamers were being hit with the DC Timer Exploit, then they re-enable it and it's happening again - it's literally as though they test nothing whatsoever. Don't get me wrong, the game is so unique and is definitely enjoyable at times but all the bugs that have been lurking in the game for months, and all the bugs that keep popping up with every update is a ######### joke. But knowing the devs, they probably won't bother skipping a chapter to focus on fixing bugs.

The bugs have been lurking in this game for months? No no, that's wrong. They've been bad for years. Terrible bugs have plagued this game since it came out. Every time one bug was fixed another popped up. I really do love this game, it's unlike any other in it's genre (and was basically the thing that made this genre of survival horror so big) but the developers are so unacceptably negligent. Great idea of a game, but between badly implemented game design and a plethora of bugs since it came out, I get so frustrated with the game. I barely play it now because it's just not worth the time. Between insane toxicity on both sides, an awful community always begging for something to be nerfed, a never-ending conga line of bugs, and negligent developers that continue to release more and more killers that aren't really thought out and either op or useless perks, this game is just bad. I really want to enjoy playing it, the idea is there, it's a great idea. It's just so bad. It's a great game with basically nothing good about it. It's how I felt about rainbow six siege for a very long time, but compared to DBD, R6S is a perfect game with no bugs or balancing problems (and we know this to not be true)

The only example of this immense amount of negligence in a good game that I can think of is League of Legends as of late with the release of champions like yuumi or aphelios. Releasing things where you just look at the developers and think "what the ######### was the idea here" a permanently invulnerable champion and a champion with 48 different skills.

If you're getting randomly disconnected so often it's stacking check your files, your rig and submit a ticket. If they commit suicide killer still gets their BBQ stack and hook points.

Even if I get locked out for 15 minutes, an hour, whatever, my life doesn't depend on a game. I'm not gonna come here and cry because I can't play my game for FIFTEEN minutes. If it locks you out for more than that, like I said, complain. It's not normal. What I see is some dude whining over 5 minutes of downtime.

OP: comes to forums to talk about an annoying bug

    Some random: stop crying

Seriously though, what's not normal is getting as offended as you are about a post like this.

  • DBD has a very unhealthy community. Since it is killer vs survivors you're going to constantly find threads of "nerf this killer/perk it's too op" when that person has only had experience playing against it and never with it. Like the deathslinger is op argument, it's ridiculous. Everyone's in this "it needs to be nerfed" mindset. So instead of power creep we're seeing and endless line of nerfs on beloved killers and perks that just end up making the game more boring and frustrating. An example would be nurse. Her kit before was super fun to use, albeit really strong. She did need a nerf, yes. But they nerfed her in a such a way that unless you're a genius with her ability, she is the most insufferable killer to play as. The entire learning process is "well I'll never catch a survivor until I learn this ability because survivors literally outrun me" and the ability is clunky and weird to use. Yes, nurse is still very good in the right hands. But for people who don't have 1000 hours on nurse why would you pick nurse over literally anything else? Even against experienced nurses it's very easy to dodge now.

First I'd like to say I'm a killer main. Second I'd like to say, DS is a very balanced perk right now. The only unfair thing about it is hopping in a locker for complete safety. There are a lot of killers out there that will just take this as a free down and hook for the survivor that just got rescued with now the only counter to this sort of tunneling being borrowed time. I will admit the borrowed time/DS combo is annoying, but there's nothing worse than going down at the hook you were just rescued at with no defense against the killer.

No, I'm not calling a game mechanic is an extra perk, I'm calling all these sound bugs an extra perk, they've been in game for SO long and the devs are probably not going to fix them, so why do need a loud ass chase music when its already too many chances to survivor to escape by muting their sounds? So many youtubers like Scott Jund , Otz, Truetalent , Jaee and ect. been talking and showing all these sound bugs, so I don't even know , how could you can't find them in your games.

So should I run a stridor to just counter the bug? And if you didn't know stridor can't counter this bug, survivors are still silent.

Run stridor just to counter a bug? No, stridor itself is a VERY powerful perk. Stridor and whispers together? Well now that's one of the best perk setups for detecting nearby survivors.

You don't understand the main problem, I'm ok with loud chase music but only if the sounds wouldn't be so broken as now, this is just not fair.

If the "main problem" has nothing to do with both the title and majority of your post, why the ######### are you complaining about chase music. Are you dumb or just ignorant?

  • The chase music literally exists to give the survivor a chance to stealth away. It functions as intended.

Your audio issues could be something as simple as the audio settings. Tons of people including myself have absolutely no issue with the audio. Also balanced landing isn't just about a quiet landing, it gives a burst of speed too.

So in conclusion. You're calling a mechanic that functions as intended as an "extra perk" and a bug that is probably just a problem with your audio settings "balanced landing"

Dude I'm a killer main and id have to have a gun pressed to my head to be this biased.

ayy lmao first sentence is devs telling you to git gud

Learning how to play the that you don't know how to play against is a common strategy in just about every game that includes character picks...

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Not a lot Ghostface is going to be able to do against that on Coldwind. Your best shot would be to proxy camp the first hook around a 3 gen, force hook trades, and play around Pop. 99 people for quick Exposed hits and harass them off the 3 gen. Even the 3 gen strat is rough because there are still too many linked safe tiles on the Coldwind series. But Ghostface can't win that game playing like Fair and Fun Killer bot.

Nobody can really win the game playing fair against a sweaty sfw team. And sweaty sfw teams don't deserve fairness because sfw itself is unfair.

  • @gatsby said:

I just played a game with ghost face on a Coldwind map and got completely gen rushed. Like oh my god there was nothing I could do absolutely zero counterplay. First three gens within the first minute.

And a Survivor has the audacity to tell me I have no map pressure. TAKE A LOOK AT THOSE BUILDS. No map pressure my butt. I had eight stacks of STBFL and was literally downing people as fast as physically possible on this Killer. I even had good add-ons.

Just stop. If you're literally gen rushing own up to it and don't blame the Killer for "no map pressure." Sit down.

I want to start off by saying I'm a killer main before anyone comments as if I'm saying this as a survivor main. Gen rushing is a legitimate tactic. To act like it's scummy would be like asking survivors to not do their job. Why wouldn't survivors gen rush if it wins them games? This is the big difference between gen rushing and face camping. Face camping does not win you games. It only opens you up to more losses which is why it's so scummy. Your sacrificing possible wins just to be scummy. That's not to say camping alone is bad. Camping, just like gen rushing can be a legitimate strategy when done properly. Survivors and killers both need to realize there are annoying strategies each side can use, but if they work as intended complaining about them only makes you look like trash because you're just complaining about what your enemy is literally suppose to be doing.

All this being said sfw is extremely unfair. It's like playing with wallhacks. Genrushing with sfw is extremely scummy just because of how inherently unfair sfw mode is. sfw has absolutely no place in a ranked mode. Rank 20 survivors could get rank 1 with a 4 man sfw easily.

Honestly, the average game time should be around 2-3 minutes longer than it currently is. I feel like it'd be much healthier for the game because yes, on certain maps, or certain tiles, you pretty much start with a 40% chance of winning that quickly diminishes depending on how you play the first minute of the game. But people used to defend infinites and call it a "survivor nerf" because they thought there should be areas where a killer is completely powerless sooooo.

Even things that aren't true infinites can be insanely broken. The loop on crotus prenn asylum with the window vault in the building where a gen will often spawn too. It's way too safe and easy, plus it's a relatively long loop making it take SO much of the killers time. I'm a hag main so this loop really doesn't effect me as a killer but boy when I play survivor do I feel like a stinky piece of ######### for using it.

If you're against a trapper or hag the loop isn't great, and a good spirit might be able to outplayed there, but if you go down in this loop against any other killer it really doesn't speak to how good the killer is, it just speaks volumes on how bad that survivor is. There shouldn't be loops like this. Loops where it relies entirely on a survivor making a dumb mistake to get a hit. When I loop here often times on the 3rd go around killers will just give up the chase because of how unfair it is. Not only this, but if it was just one window that's fine. Get the survivor to use it enough to be blocked. But there's another identical section on the other side of the building! So you can loop that one until the other has become usable again.

Oi Me and my friends range from rank 4 to 16 and were all toxic its fun to play with friends and have the killer dc sometimes

So you have a good time solely with the idea that you're making someone else's time miserable? Not just playing the game to win but expressly to annoy the killer? You're actually a piece of #########.

  • @EuphoricBliss35 said:

This is an asymmetrical game. 1 v 4. Playing killer requires (1) time management (2) pressuring gens. That’s how you have to think. Your primary focus is not “hook survivors/kill survivors,” that’s just part of it. Complaining about perks, maps, buildings, fences, does not help you in a game with #1 or #2.

It’s about knowing when to abandon chase, which is a skill believe it or not. The person I’ve seen explain this most clearly is FunGoose. In terms of learning how to play killer in general, and the specifics of each killer, he’s one of the best teachers. I don’t really watch streams in general anymore, but food for thought if you’re struggling playing killer

Easiest way to beat a survivor who is better than you. Go after the weak link, hook them, bait the better one out for the rescue.

I can tell ur one of the people that say toolboxes r overpowered and gen rushing is to fast.

Gen rushing is actually completely fair and a necessary tactic against some killers. What's not fair is gen rushing in sfw parties. They have too much info and can complete gens waaay too fast because of this.

That being said sfw parties that use voice chat for the express reason of communication/transfer of information is extremely unfair.

Well, if you know you're not gonna get them all because they're strong loopers, might as well guarantee the ones you can get. Let the memelords complain in the post-game chat, but you can only do so much against a really strong team, especially since it also depends on the map you get, the killer you selected (and the combination of these two can dramatically swing the outcome towards or away from your favor) and all that good stuff.

Sometimes you just know you don't stand a chance, so take what you can get. If they don't like it, who cares?

Survivors that complain about a killers playstyle are so stupid. I understand hating actual face campers, but survivors act so entitled. They act like it's the killers job to let them win, and if the killer goes for anything other than a 12 hook they're a "tunnelling camping noob"

Survivor complaints in post game chat makes about as much sense as a killer crying about survivors progressing gens. Survivors literally ask killers to not do the thing that is their job.

Out of the 3K hours I have in this game I don’t know what else to say other than moris are unfun to go against, most of the killers 1 hook Mori and tunnel, it boosts killers egos through the roof, it either makes a match super short or super long. Not to mention this Subject is probably one of the most complained/most talked about on these forums other than keys and the occasional Decisive Strike.

If moris get reworked then sfw should be disabled. This is the single best add-on to punish toxic sfw players, and they absolutely deserve it.

  • @kate_best_girl said:

So everyone says if theres a loop you can't beat as a certain killer (IE huntress at a long wall) you should just abandon chase and let the survivor go but I don't understand how that helps the killer at all? Like survivors can just run back to the loop whenever they want so how does abandoning chase help?

Your goal as killer isnt "kill one survivor" it's preventing all survivors from escaping. The best way to do this is by not wasting time tunneling 1 or 2 people. If a chase is going to take too long just give it up and move on to the next couple survivors to prevent them from progressing gens.

  • Lockers are too safe for too many reasons... Being able to just take DS and jump in a locker completely safe is kind of insane too

I think DS is a necessary skill but you shouldn't be able to just avoid all confrontation because of a red box. DS should just not work in lockers. Timedlr continues as is. It would fix the problem in all ways. It wouldn't effect DS as it's intended to work but doesn't allow for survivors to get away for free unless the killer wants to wait a whole minute (which let's be honest, isn't realistic in ANY high rank game)
