Honestly in situations like that there's nothing you can do. I wouldn't have camped but i also wouldn't have walked across the map knowing they'd be close by

Im a killer main and no its no fun to gen rush but if a gen is in my face im gonna do it feel me? Honestly though the hatch is just a bad system all together because at BEST its a free win for survivor after a killer plays well. At worse you're laying on the ground slugged waiting to bleed out while your teammate and the killer look for it

Such bad grammar. I remember when intellectuals used to play this game.

Fair point and I'm not one for nerfing based off "fun" either. People need to look at certain things in a PvP competitive sense as far as actual balance goes.

One issue is that there is only one game mode of DBD. Casual players are mixed in with competitive players and this creates friction. Casuals just want to have fun while the competitives want to win in a balanced setting.

"Competitives" need to find a new hobby.

well, they do have community managers, whos literal job is to talk to players on the forums, twitter, reddit, and other such places. they cant read everything, obviously, but its still their job to talk to the community and relay information to the team.

But community managers aren't developers. Yet these threads all address the Devs.

    Priveleged?

It's in a company's best interest to listen to their customer's concerns and try to keep them happy. That's how a company makes money. Since the internet became widespread, companies started hiring people whose sole job it is to read customer feedback online.

They're a small company. I'm pretty sure their top priority isn't to have their development team sat reading all of your ranting posts on here. That's just not how business works. They already have a backlog of work, without hearing your complaints to pile on top of it. Perhaps the occasional constructive idea may bubble to the top, but don't expect them to be sat here diligently reading the forums.

I see that BHVR was successfully able to ignore the community's concerns over the time & difficulty of the Rift. So much so there is not a single thread on the first page any longer. All without ever making a statement.

Depressing. If anyone is listening BHVR please talk to us. I REALLY want to buy the premium pass but not if casual players can't finish it.

It's not BHVR's job to sit here reading every thread people post. You should feel privileged that they even provide a means for you to post your opinions on the official forums.

  • To have fun and enjoy the game?

    Because

    a) The duration length for pulling them off their hook onto your shoulders is so short and inconsistent — that is, reliant on capricious ping — that at least a safer measure for what should be an obvious down should happen.

    b) Think about it: You're in the worst possible spot imaginable. A brutal Killer is right behind you. You deserve to go down if you're going to make greedy or self-sacrificial saves.

    c) The Killer should not be attacking the bloody HOOKED survivor by accident when there is a body right next to them trying to save them. Imagine in Nightmare on Elm Street movie Freddy Kruger hooks a victim, then his obvious effect is to take down to rescuer, but misses and hits the hooked victim. Well then Freddy just looks like an idiot. Not scary! But with our controls, and with body blocking, it sometimes does happen that you miss a very clear, available, open target.

You'll have objections, but I will counter all of them. "Well, just hit them correctly!" Look above, bodaggit.

I hear you. But this adds an element of strategy to the game. People don't want the game to play out like a movie.

I was in a PS4 party with my friend, I'd get randomly lagged out and disconnected when playing with her, I thought it was for some reason, a character, perks, something, I would shut off my PS4 and turn it back on, reload the game, the works, nothing worked. What mattered was that I was helping her, I had fun with her and we joked about the night into late, around 3 or 4 I said goodnight to her, it didn't matter if I got disconnected as long as I was playing with her.

I would recommend a better internet provider.

I really wish leatherface wasn’t one of the worst killers. I will admit that I have a huge bias with him because I really love the “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” series and it’s what got me into horror and into DBD. But I cannot deny it that he is a weak killer even if he does have a power that can insta down survivors. The only thing he has going for him is some players will underestimate you sometimes cause they think leatherface players aren’t smart and his strong defensive ability, but killers play more offensive than defensive in this game. It’s so bad that people say his most powerful strategy is basement camping, but I don’t want to camp; I actually want to play the game. I just want him to be good. How would they do that I don’t know probably buff is rev speed or a tiny buff to his movement speed while revving up his chainsaw so he at least has somewhat of chance to catch up. I don’t think he should be god tier but at least give him something that puts him in mid tier at most.

If it's hard for you, I would recommend changing mains.

  • It would be good if the killer could place the totem in a spot of their choosing. Maybe they'd get 1 minute from the start of the match to put it down somewhere. It adds variety to every match and means survivors won't spawn practically right in front of it.

I now noticed a lot of negativity towards the spirit. But the question is why? Is it because she's good and has an actual snowball chance to take down a 4 stack SWF? She's not that over powered, she just has good mobility. She can't even get over a window while using her ability. Sure she has good tracking abilities, but there's good survivor perks to counter it. Iron will, so on and so on. She isn't even that oppressive... A good nurse is oppressive and any killer who's good at the killer can still win games.

So what's going to be next? Plague? Any killer that actually can do a decent job?

"You always ask me: why the sudden negativity..."

"ALL the DbD community HAS is negative thoughts!"

  • @Mochan said:

Lobby dodging is the exact same thing as offering dodging.

You're just biased, which is why you think it's okay for you to lobby dodge while it's not okay for survivors to offer dodge.

The only difference is killer can see it in the lobby so they can dodge "legit" at that point, survivors can't so the only option is to DC after offering screen.

It's really not... Because nobody loses offerings with lobby dodging.

  • Killers must have a pen and paper with them and note down who they have hooked so far. They must consult this paper and ensure all hits are distributed evenly amongst survivors, BEFORE starting a chase. Otherwise: TUNNELING!!

ghostface is my most enjoyable killer . i play only him like already 100 hours plus . i am even trying my best vs red ranks on him , even vs ooo users , but it always feel terrible and game is lost from start if u get breaken out . why ? because for long period of time i not only am m1 killer but it will reveal all that i am ghostface and it will be even harder because i cant use my power ,,,

few times i barely missed 2 k because of cooldown . if the power was even 5 second down it would be so much more enjoyable , Because for now i am more scared of survivors seeing me than they are scared of me aandddd i am not sure it should be like that ;/

I like ghost face too, but he kinda feels limited. NOED and MYC can give you exposed for free for 50%+ of the match.

  • @SteelDragon said:

for context see this video by Tru3talent

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3seF7dtTXA

2:20 seconds into a red ranks game, with NO RUIN but he does have PoP, 3 gens are done with a 4th at 75% completion. this proves that gens either need to be nerfed or a new objective needs to be added to the game to slow the game down further. now it was without ruin but when the game balance is to a point where if you don't run ruin you can have a game like this then it is a problem, then you are building a loadout with only 3 perks not 4. unlike people who run adrenaline they CHOOSE to run 3 perks for most of the game, this is either run 3 perks or your games can end in a shorter time than it took you to find a game lobby.

    *Too

    But I agree.

Dear salty killers when you DC because they are SWF you aren't going to get better doing this and you are not doing yourself any favors. You just make the game easier for the survivors to win. and the bps of the survivors suffer. Plus you just end up looking like a POS.

This happens very rarely. Vs survivor disconnects, which you'll see every other match, at least.

So why is it..despite tons and I mean TONS.. of community feedback and ideas...trapper is so far on the back burner to be fixed up?...how hard is it..to give him 1 more trap..help him rearm traps without picking them up..and use lockers to reload them..so I dont have to waste 3 gens just getting a grid just so it can be disarmed and I'm forced 5o pick them BACK up...and arm them somewhere else..trapper is one of the most desired killers for improvements to my knowledge so why on earth is he lower priority than other killers who are less in need of help??..I just want to play a killer without feeling like im freaking handicapped ffs

You've clearly never worked in technology. You don't just do stuff because you want to. And the Devs don't decide the priority of work.

######### are you talking about? Are you alright lad?

You're seeing green from all of your toxicity... You're moaning about crucial game mechanics, it's just so boring to hear this over and over again. It always happens after a salty survivor has just lost a match and comes here to rant about it. Meanwhile they teabag everytime they've won a match by pallet looping for 10 minutes.

  • @NoShinyPony said:

@HatCreature Correct, there wouldn't be any unhooking anymore and everything that's related to it. No small changes.

Bloodpoints and Emblem points aside, you would also have to work on the balancing, because with respawning, survivors wouldn't need time anymore to go for unhooks.

It would change the game significantly and as I wrote above, I have no idea whether the majority of players would like to have such big changes.

Indeed. The game encourages tunneling. The quicker you take a survivor out, the slower the other survivors' game progression becomes. If you evenly distributed those 12 hooks it can take to kill everyone (24 hits), the odds of the killer downing everyone, before all generators complete, are significantly lowered.

  • @justarandy said:

So, you play solo. Someone got caught early. Mori offering was used. Killer has noed aswell.

    Unhooking -> tunnel and mori

Not unhooking and focusing gens to punish that -> get rofl stomped by noed

Not unhooking but also not focusing gens before all totems are destroyed to counter noed -> killer will catch and camp another one, maybe even 2 and he might find hatch first and its gg.

Seriously, sometimes I encounter those Killers and not a single strategy works. It's nearly fool safe for the killer to win.

"So you play solo" - well first of all, it's a team game. You're not meant to be able to win the game on your own... If a team works well together, the killer simply has no chance.

After "Stanger Things" became part of the Entity's Realm, could "SCP" universe became part of it too?

As far, as I know, at the moment, original english SCP wiki and all (or at least most) materials there are protected by "Creative Commons License" (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/).

@Peanits @not_Queen If it is possible, could you tell if there is any possibility that SCP related characters are ever going to make it into the Entity's Realm. Thank you for any reply!

There'd be a lot of hate if creative commons work was commercialised, as an expansion to a game.

**Very minor, nonspecific spoilers for Stranger Things ahead, as should be clear from a post discussing the lore of a character from it.**

I'm not a fan of Stranger Things, but I forced myself to sit through it about a month ago when it was glaringly obvious this was the next chapter.

However, with the full announcement of the Demogorgon's power today, putting aside my dislike of the series, the power is just... dull.

We have a creature that comes from another dimension. It's controlled by a god-like being that completely dominates the minds of it's victims and can destroy them at will. The creatures in the dimension seem to spread infection that can grow more of themselves within the bodies of victims.

And it's power? It can dig holes.

Yeah, open and shut holes, oblivious when closing them, it has merits, but it's just such a generic power for a creature with so much potential.

The entire series revolves around the upside-down, a dimension accessed through gateways. The generators could have spawned split between the two dimensions, increasing the time survivors take to find them, confusing them about what choices are right, a more physical separation than Freddy's dreamworld. However the only hint of the upside-down is a blue overlay during certain interactions with basically no impact.

I'm not saying he might not be fun, or strong, (that largely remains to be seen and relies on how the pounce feels to use) I'm just saying for the potential this chapter could have brought, solid meh.

It feels like a weak version of Freddy's ability, that can even be disabled by survivors. And his main attack is basically the Pig's charge attack, but with a notification (a roar?) before it happens?

I've had killers carry me nearly half way around the map and I still can't wiggle out. The devs have made it so if you are about to wiggle out as soon as you're hooked the hooking goes through rather than wiggling out of the killers grasp. Today I managed to fill my wiggle bar BEFORE the killer hooks me and I still didn't get to escape. There is simply not enough space between hooks to make wiggling worth while even with Boil Over. Killers get the advantage every time unless they are blinded or stunned by a pallet.

    https://youtu.be/R2FytEgS3yE

You need to ask yourself why the killer has to carry you so far in the first place.
