Yeah I do wish that if you fail a grab that it instead turns it into a basic attack hit. After all if you were close enough to do a grab with a left mouse button then, even if they weren't doing an action at that moment, you still should have been close enough for that mouse button press to be a basic attack that hit them. Having it revert to a total miss is just frustrating.
Its baffling that something as basic and simple as grabbing which is very important in the kit for killers hasn’t worked for so long

Tony Todd is a national treasure, I wouldn't be surprised if Candyman was chapter 18 or 19

While it would ideally be a chapter, I don't even think it needs to be one. I'd take a killer and some D class skins for survivors.
The foundation would be a great map tbh, Hawkins but creepier

Yeah, DBD is my favorite piece of media in terms of story. Having all these cool licences collide with some really unique new ones is amazing. Thats kinda why I'm always looking for an opportunity to talk about SCP in DBD lol.
same, loved horror films since I was a kid, and dbd has been my favorite game since release, seeing all the classic and iconic characters on the same roster is the best, I really like SCP too and I think it'd definitely fit as a chapter tbh

While that would be cool. SCP has strict policy on not using pre existing characters. The mass edit purged anything pop culture related that was trying to be an SCP. And that would interfere with the Creative Commons System SCP is trying its hardest to stick to (The only who doesn't fall under CC is 173, and thats because they're hands were tied.)
Very true but still a fun thought lol, universes interacting are amazing when done right

What about a cultist that transformed during the trial? They start out looking like a warlock or monk and by the end of the trial, maybe based on hooks, they evolve into a creature that resembles the entity?
a killer that transforms and evolves through the match would be great, Oni is the closest so far but one that REALLY changes form physically and ability wise would be very interesting

People suggest putting SCP into DBD but what about putting dbd into scp? The Entity would make an excellent SCP. A creature that traps people in it's reality. Forces them to do it's bidding. Encourages them to escape while snatching it away at the last moment to feed off their hope. It doesn't release them even after death. Good luck trying to contain that. Best they can do it quarantine the areas where it can grab people.
The most meta of meta situations, plot twist the entity is being contained by scp during the events of DBD we just can't see the outside realm

I personally have always liked the idea of a cultist, as there's many interesting way they could make a power from it.
I've been open and interested to see a cultist ever since the cult that worships the entity was mentioned in archives, a lot of potential with that one

Yes Jason ofc, he doesn't even need mentioning, I'll maybe add Pennywise with them, I think that would be full package
Agreed, I'd also take either version of IT tbh, I liked both 1990 mini-series and 2017 remake, maybe even both in form of skins to swap

I'd love a vampire that could cast bats over players to function as crows for the purposes of tracking and had a mist form that allows him to traverse pallets quicker as a loop-counter.

I like the idea of a killer that can summon AI enemies to also hunt survivors. My concept used SCPs.
That idea would be very interesting and unique, A SCP chapter would be nice (I was quite a fan of the game back in the day lol)

Fine as is, very powerful, I enjoy using him and facing him personally
-
Freddy is fine how he is, very powerful but not OP at all, and IMO he isn't boring to go against either
-
His Revealing mechanic is extremely inconsistent and buggy, but besides that with the address book and chewed pen along side the right and efficient build I'd say he's a higher tier killer and preforms really well when mastered.

I do try my best most of the time i only afk when i get really mad. I only made this post cause i had a horibble game against a swf and got really frustrated since i got matched with them 3 times in a row
SWFs are annoying, Not much to be done about them, I personally just accept the loss and keep trying to get atleast one of them if I can maybe even 2, I hate sweaty SWFS tho, sometimes it even makes me wanna quit killer for a long time, sucks especially since its easy to run into the same SWF over again and happens more often than one would expect
-
Sounds interesting, However I think it's a better option to try your best all the way till the end, there's been endless games where I got genrushed the first 4 or 3 gens but still managed to kill 2 or 3, you never know where it'll turn out even if you are losing badly, always try the best you can till the end IMO
-
Ghostface, he's fun to be and paranoia fuel for survivors if it's a good GF
-
Some nice changes, I've always would love the 1st one, should only lose shroud when interacting
-
I'd kill for H18 myers and maybe some thorn timeline representation (I liked thorn a tiny bit), I'd also love the scarecrow disguise for ghostface from scream 4

I'm really always hype for every new chapter, the art department does such a ######### good job creating the characters and bringing them to life through their animations, character models and various cosmetics, and the team working on creating lore and developing story does a great job for every character too.
That being said I'm gonna have to put my vote on Oni, I like him much better now in retrospect than I did when he first released because on release all I was thinking about was that he wasn't too unique. Aside from the killer themselves, I'm always most excited for the next really unique killer power, and all the other options listed have that.
Ghostface
Was a stealth killer that had to actually stay stealthy and out of line of sight to use his ability, which was a perma reduced terror radius which didn't sacrifice movement speed / visibility (cough Pig) or immediate punish potential (cough Wraith). Ghostface's chapter also released the Undetectable status effect and the oblivious status effect, both of which are great, but the former of which directly stopped OoO (and other aura revealing perk) abuse which really hurt stealth killers.
Demogorgon
Was the first deliberately non-human killer and introduced the concept of portals, being able to teleport from one part of the map to a previously setup portal somewhere else. This also came with brief periods of undetectable and moments where you could take advantage of the killer instinct mechanic. All backed up behind this long range charge shot attack called Shred which helped him be more viable in chases.
Deathslinger
Was a badass western cowboy armed with a harpoon gun fixed to a chain that reels the struggling bodies of resisting survivors toward him. That's pretty ######### epic and I don't think needs more elaboration or explanation
The Oni
But the Oni? The Oni had basically a slightly tweaked version of Hillbilly's chainsaw... Nothing super completely brand new in his kit, most everything in there were mechanics we had already seen repurposed into a new character and it kinda made me less hype won't lie. It was only after I saw some more gameplay of (I think it was Tru3ta1ent) him on PTB or something using the ability through a jungle gym, sliding against walls and eventually landing an instadown with a flick around a corner that I finally thought "Hold up, this guy is really something new with some serious potential". Hadn't really made up my mind on the character until after I got my hands on him though post release and got to experience what it was like firsthand, now he's on my list of favorite killers.
P.s.
Ghostface was hype, wym.
But for all you naysayers who voted Ghostface I just can't get on board with that, it was the absolutely most hype I had ever been for any chapter (or paragraph) ever. I remember watching the trailer over, and over, and over, taking multiple screenshots of how he waved and jumped at the camera with a bloody knife, sending those screenshots to friends, even people who didn't play DBD. I had been rooting for this character to make it into the game for three bloody years, posting threads, commenting on threads, suffering all the ######### who said "Oh, Ghostface isn't scary" or "Oh, Ghostface is just a normal human with no supernatural powers or strengths" and "if he made it in, he'd probably suck" but he finally made it in and moreover he's the most viable stealth killer in the goddamn game leagues over The Pig, Wraith, Myers, whoever. SO WHO'S LAUGHING NOW #########???
That person Mathieu Cote described in the Ghostface behind the scenes when he said "If you take any random people out there and you ask what's their list of the top ten killers in the world of horror- Ghostface is gonna be somewhere in there". That guy was me with Ghostface at #1 favorite killer babyyy let's go~
Sure, the reveal that there would be no woodsboro high school map or Scream survivor (everybody out there voting for Sidney but I wanted to see Randy Meeks in there over everyone) was a bit of a let down, but with the climate towards Ghostface at the time people weren't sure if he'd make it in at all. People knew his license was split between the mask and the character so people in the community were thinking "there's no way the dev team can get both, and if they can't get both I wouldn't want him in at all" so I was extremely happy to see those leaks and even more so when I saw the official trailer drop soon after. Plus, let's be honest I was not rooting for a scream chapter for as hard and as long I was to see a scream survivor. I was doing it to see the man himself Ghostface silently stalking his victims before a knife comes out of nowhere to "Gut them like a fish".
That's just me though.
Good points, Only thing I like about oni is his amazing character design, but gameplay wise and impact I just find him extremely lack lustered, Ghostface is my favorite killer personally as I am a huge scream fan, the lack of content never bothered me (I mainly play killer) plus I love his cosmetics and references to fun world products and mask that exist it's all very creative, I enjoy GF a lot

Him and Ghostface will be nerfed soon. They are overperforming and not fun for survivors to go against because they can't adapt.
Meanwhile, killers need to adapt to ruins change, and aren't allowed to complain.
#logic
GF Doesn't deserve a nerf, the underperforming killers need buffs
-
- There is a small bps bonus the other 3 survivors and killer is gonna get for that DC
- No you don't need to report because of the time out corner we send people in now for DCing

We all know the Stranger Things chapter was the best chapter in the game. Huge hype, no one saw it coming. TWO survivors, new inside map, great killer.
But then Ghost Face was just... kinda dropped in. No survivor, no map, pretty mid-killer overall.
Why didn't they get the movie rights!?!?!?!?!?!?
I'd Kill for Sidney, A high school map, and a movie accurate looking Ghostface
That'd be the dream

@EnderloganYT said:
ghostface, despite being the great killer he is, was introduced too casually. instead of the "holy hell the got him! wOOOOOO" it was more "oh it's Ghostface. cool."
and also casually saying that there was no survivor or map felt off.
Agreed, as a huge scream fan, I was excited but for some reason he felt down-played when introduced to DBD, Instead of the next big deal for DBD like he shoulda been he felt more like a "oh cool another killer...........next chapter when?"
-
I think he's fun to face if they don't tunnel and camp, and on killer side I've still only been playing GF but I level my deathslinger for later
-
Yea Myers could use some slight buffs, however it won't be anytime soon cause there are plenty of other killers who need the help way more, Myers although he could use a few small buffs is actually in a very decent spot and if played right, very viable (That can't be said about some of the other killers who need help way more) so he's fine for now
-
GF’s is Mysterious and ominous, perfectly fits the character, it could even fit the movie counterpart
-
Hard question, Ive main both since their release, Id say both are worth it, myers has better perks and also his snowball potential with M&A + IF is scary strong, and GF in general has more strengths than master than myers does, if used right GF is easily most powerful stealth, but Are worth it, if you want fun and learn the game better, myers, If you want harder to use but more viable, go GF
-
Nemesis is it's better in every way counterpart, but furtive can be good against teams who catch on to your use of nemesis and counter it by early pallet drops and avoiding stuns, nemesis can be countered if careful enough but furtive can't, other than that furtive exist for no reason and nemesis is 100x better
-
Unless you break them VERY early on then they hardly need to come into play
-
There's only a small handful of killers that can consistently make use of it at all times, and even then it's just a scream not aura so the survivor could have left by the time you make your way to the scream, some survivors just stealth away from the scream, why would such a conditional perk need a cooldown? for most killers there are much better perks to fill a slot than infectious

this thread was made to talk about cypress memento moris being part of the base kit, not for you guys to argue about what gameplay mechanic was the most unbalancd.
I think it's safe to say mostly anyone would agree with you, If a survivor is last hook and already dead them being mori'd is a good idea, the killer gets to enjoy the animation and extra BPS from it, and it wouldn't change balance much due to the survivor being already dead on hook, I think its a very good idea and I'm surprised it hasn't already been a thing yet

I know that those niche situations exists. But it's not the right thing to delete a whole perk which makes the gameplay for survivors overall more enjoyable and hardcounters tunneling just so that some don't have to deal with those niche situations.
I agree, just brought em up cause tunneling isn't always the only reason, I think DS is fine as is and doesn't need any changes, most killers are just careless and don't play around it properly
-
@Frankie said:

Delete DS. Then you can delete the only counter to it. KEKW
Idk DS is annoying but it's also very easy to deal with I'd argue the only time its unfair is EGC if the survivors keep trading hooks
sometimes you can get hit with the back end of DS on those last few seconds after find a survivor again, and also the survivors who purposely get themselves cause with the last few seconds of DS, Tunneling is the main reason DS works but their are very niche situations where it happens (not that I think its OP or unfair just saying)
-
I haven't felt much difference lately, then again apparently his patch has a good few bugs and issues so it's possible that's one of them, sounds annoying to deal with if it is.
-
It's very early, only 2 days and also he's a fairly hard killer to use, those 2 factors make it hard to call him bad already, it's a matter of killer mains need time and even then on top of that he is a harder killer, some do good already but a lot need some time, all the NOED usage is because exposure perks are also extremely good on him
-
I'm a killer main and I'm also a Metalhead so I mean, guess its true heh
-
Easily Sloppy Butcher and Nurse's calling for me
-
Phantom killer (The Town That Dreaded sundown)
Leslie Vernon (Behind the mask the rise of Leslie Vernon)
Harry Warden (My Bloody Valentine)
One of the sadistic Teenagers (Eden lake)
Three finger (Wrong turn)
-
Ghostface, I 4k with him consistently and I've always found him quite fun, I was a myers main from around his release to GF's release, and for some reason when I go back to playing myers after GF, I can't ever do as good as I used to, but he's still fun so I consider myers one of those killers for me as well, I wanna learn billy better too cause he's fun and powerful
-
This tbh, I am a myers main and I will play other killers at times LITERALLY just because They average way more BPS than myers
-
imo Solo survivor is okay how it is, I like that it's more challenging as when in a SWF I find things 10x easier, yes it's annoying when your teammates are potatoes, yes it's annoying when you get tunneled and or camped, but that's just how games are there are many aspects that make playing a choir sometimes, ESPECIALLY in a team based game
-

And there are many variables in between all those numbers. Just because there are 4 DS's doesn't mean all of them get used. Also the chase is extended provided you are in a great spot... it's not always guaranteed you will extend the chase.
With the factor of many powerful loops, good builds with ds, the other teammates working on gens, and the killer you are playing as, One good DS at red ranks could be the end of you, let alone many of them
-
@Stitch7833 said:
So this is just a quick list of issues im having, not any bug`s or anything just thing i think should be looked into being changed. Obviously comment yourselves just hoping a dev will see and maybe shed some light on these
- Pipping issues as plague: some reason even if i do really well im not award the same sort of pip`s as i would if playing another killer, im not sure if its due to people not cleansing, puke downs or what but it`s a tad annoying.
- Matchmaking: dont always seem to be matching with the right ranks, i get that if it cant find a game close to your ranks it will find you the closest, but this raises the issue of lack of red rank killers (rank 1/2) as i`ll be in games with purple ranks
- Toolboxes: Still not sure why basic brown toolboxes moderately increase repair speed, it should only be slightly in my opinion, they're easily found and obtained. also think the actual % speeds that all toolboxes provide should be slightly lowered as 4 toolboxes become insanely strong.
- Pig traps: i feel the fact traps only stop ticking down when a chase begins can be unfair at times, you dont really have time to heal and get round to all the boxes avoiding the killer, more commonly you seem to have the choice of letting the killer down you easily because youre out positioned but need to get into a chase, or avoid the killer via stealth but the longer you avoid the killer the higher chance the trap will kill you even though moving/running is likely to let the killer get an easy down.
- Map size: maps like the temple of P or rotten fields seem extremely large compared to others and feel they should be shortened. (rotten fields may need 1/2 pallets more if making it smaller)
These are all common problems for most except pig, pig's traps are most of the time not a huge issues as some survivors will wait to pop gens and there are other survivors to focus on, and she has been nerfed a million times, if a pig really is tunneling and doing her best to keep YOU from boxes, then against a good team the pig has already lost once they have decided to do that
-

Not true, I played a game against a red rank trapper, he eat two DSs so they def do. The only time I will say that DS is really "OP" is EGC when the gates our open and they use to get away. Other than that DS is just a minor annoyance that delays the inevitable
All killers actively eat DS, however that is DIFFERENT from tunneling and what was implied, simply tunneling and purposely going for DS can be the death of you in alot of red rank games
-
@Blueberry said:
You have third person view, that is quite literally the counter to the situation you are describing.

ah, try to play without rank and pips in mind, you win some you lose some, and the grind always require you to struggle at first thats just how the game is cause survivors are way less dependant on perks than killer
