What's to dislike about Adam?
his perks & overall aesthetic i guess. the only perk i actually like using from him is deliverance. also, that trench coat......π
-
probably curtain call. i love kate but don't really like clown, but also shattered bloodline brought spirit (who i love) and i also don't really like adam.
-
fr, they need to leave him alone bc i know for a FACT he isn't gonna receive any new chase music. and that's all i care about in a killer rework tbh

Then what are you asking for? A completely different perk? What's the point? New survivors will be added for new perks. If it was truly worthless like deja vu then I might agree. But boil over has it's place in the game. It is the only perk survivors have that make it more difficult for the killer to get you on a hook while being carried. Most of the time it is not going to stop you from being hooked. But it does waste some of the killers time and gives your team mates time to body block. It's not a meta perk and that's okay.
no dude, i'm just asking for the perk to be changed. at that point it would be like adding a new perk but it would just be easier to rework a perk they already have instead of having to like, implement a whole new perk which could take some time. the perk has barely any use and it's just a bad perk in general.

yes omgg

It would be my favorite map
imagine if survivors could interact w/ the attractions, that would be so fun

i hope it's original. if it's another killer that's an "ancestor" or "relative" to another killer we already have, i'm uninstalling lmao

A lot of people who use it also tend to be newer players and play against things like Iron Grasp. If they don't know much about the mechanics they would not really now the difference either.
It's also the reason I mentioned how it works to you.
i'm not a newer player. also i really don't wanna argue, not here, not now. it's 11:40 in the morning and i'm pressed.

Other then that sarcasm which is not really needed as I was just informing you. Quite a bit of people tend to think it increases the wiggle bar speed for some reason.
i already know what the perk does. i see how people think that but they should read the effects carefully. wiggling effects and wiggle speed are two different things

definitely remake. the scene where erin hotwires the van is π

You know it's only affecting the wiggle movement making the killer have to fight more right? It's not affecting the wiggle bar in any shape or form. Literally just for making the killer bump into more stuff.
no really, what else would it do?

Not gonna lie, it'd be great if you guys cared even HALF this much about killers suggesting their perks to be reworked or buffed..
some killer perks do need to be changed and i bet multiple people are discussing that in their own threads.
-
@Dreamnomad said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1009583#Comment_1009583
You're right in that I didn't read the thread. I just skimmed it though and I still stand by my response. You are simply wrong if you think it should make it easier to wiggle out of the killer's grasp. There are times where hooks aren't very close. Having one perk shouldn't give survivor's completely safe zones to run to knowing the killer can't drag them far enough before they wiggle free. That isn't balanced. It's another thing altogether if the survivors actually put in the time and effort of breaking hooks. That comes at a real cost of loss progression on generators.
yeah i know. i don't see how people are concluding i'm asking for survivors to get a free escape each time. i'm not. the perk is so bad that it REQUIRES a rework in order to be somewhat viable. different effects.

That is not SO needed ATM
true but it could be an idea for the future. imagine hearing carnival music play and lights flicker/change color as you're getting chased next to a ferris wheel that moves on its own.
-

The chase music would be the best
yessss. i can also see him getting a map & realm that's completely revolved around him as well, instead of a single map that's 3/4 disturbed ward w/ a chapel & 1/4 of a carnival that really isn't anything.
-
@Dreamnomad said:
It doesn't need a rework. The only thing it needs is to extend the range that killers can't see hook auras. That would increase it's value without making it broken.
oh my god.... have you not read what i've been saying... i still can't believe people think that's a reasonable buff.
-
@Eye66 said:
They could maybe do Chucky if Tiffany would appear for carrying survivors since she's in a human body, he could pull out the amulet and transform. I think they have a slightly better shot at getting 2009 reboot Jason than jason classic due to the legal morass that may be looser towards the reboots like freddy was. 2009 Jason is way more proactive and fits dbd better IMO, plus never made it into the F13TH game
2009 jason is the best jason for any horror game, point blank period lol
his ability could allow him to be stealthy & immobilizing but in a way we've never seen before.

yeah just rework it completely. really don't see how people are commenting "just buff the numbers" like that's gonna do sumπΉ
-
survivor:
default survivor: kate
cosmetics: anything from jane & kate tbh
event: feng or ace's new year cosmetics
killer:
default killer: nurse and plague
cosmetics: anything from spirit
event: hallowed blight plague

definitely clown bc he's complete trash atm lmao
also circus music would be cool as his chase theme or sum like that

@Salty_Pearl said:
Boil Over should have speed up wiggling speed like Breakout does.
i mean, that 20% that breakout gives you isn't even fast enough. maybe give the perk a 20% bonus to wiggle speed, the same wiggling effect values from before and increase the aura range a tiny bit more (4 meters, 6 max). then the perk could be okay.

Since when is the entity AIDING the survivors during the trials?
oh true, i mean.. i don't have a response.
-
why would you nerf surge??? you said buff but still gave it an increased cooldown? just make the 40s cooldown across all tiers & increase the range.
if you're gonna give BS that extra effect, add a cooldown of, let's say, 30s, then allow it to decrease its cooldown when leveling it up. the 20% faster break speed can be across all tiers.
-
@NMCKE said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/120184/can-the-devs-just-rework-boil-over
OP and @LordGlint
I was thinking Boil Over should be a perk that makes the killer take longer to hook you (which can waste valuable time).
Boil Over
You wiggle 30%/25%/20% slower than normal.
When in the killer's grasp, all hooks within 32 meters from where you was picked up at are blocked by the Entity and their auras cannot be seen by the killer.
This will guarantee it takes the killer approximately 9 seconds to reach a hook, but to balance this out, it also takes you 20 seconds to wiggle free. Combine this with Flip-flop to give you 50% free wiggle progress (fully recovered), and this can be very nasty (the killer has 1 second of leeway.
dang, i really like your suggestion. although the reduced wiggle speed made me cringe lol
my idea was something like this
Boil Over:
If a killer picks you up within 3m of a hook, that hook is instantly destroyed by The Entity.
Hook auras are obscured within a range of 36 meters.
Within a 12/14/16 meter range of a hook, your wiggle speed is increased by 3%.
this could be overkill, but:
After escaping the killer's grasp, the audible grunt is silenced completely.
how's that?

I'm all for that. But there are some people who want the game to be even more unfun for killers.
luckily i'm not one of those people. i want the game to be balanced but that will never happen in an asymmetrical horror game. do you have any ideas on what the effects should be if it was reworked?
-
@DWolfAlpha said:

With tenacity, you can move immediately after being downed without the stun. With how often I've been able to get to 90 percent wiggle, that few seconds of crawl and recover goes a long way. Unless of course you go down right next to a hook.
the fact that bo has to require on another perk to have a slight impact..
-
@Mister_Holdout said:
Survivors need to understand that they aren't supposed to wiggle free very often. It should take a concerted effort, ie, breaking a hook or a full team body block.
A better solution would be to give the perk a new effect. Something that is useful without denying the killer a hook.
To reiterate, a survivor breaking free from the killer's grasp should be quite rare.
that.. that's what i'm saying. i don't know how it's not obvious. rework the perk completely and give it a new effect.
-
@LordGlint said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/993419#Comment_993419
Feel like the effect would have to be something else entirely then. Like I said, theyre not going to make a perk that can reliably get you off the killer's shoulders unconditionally. They could give it a different effect, but at that point...they might as well just make a different perk instead.
i mean, that would be a waste. they can keep a perk they already have and completely rework it instead of creating a whole new one. and i'd rather not have a perk like that.
imagine if boil over became s tier lol
-
@LordGlint said:
A killer SHOULD be able to get you to a hook unless your teammates can block for you or something. Equipping a perk shouldnt make you immune to hooks, or even close to it. If the perk was able to reliably let you escape the killer's grasp...it would be OP.
that's not my point. i'm saying that the perk needs to be reworked because its effects are so weak and they have no use at all.
-
@DWolfAlpha said:
It synergizes well with flip flop and unbreakable. Have you tried that? I also sometimes use tenacity with it.
yes, but it's still so situational! the killer is bound to pick you up right as you get downed (unless, yk there are survivors around that can stun you) which gives you no time to use those perks effectively.

They can't hear yes and no. The default chase music really covers most survivor's sounds, especially with Iron Will. However, with Demogorgon for example, it's easier to follow sound cues. Maybe this is intentional because survivors can hear Demo's footseps as well. Same with Oni. Same with Spirit when phasing, but Spirit is bollocks anyway.
regardless, most of the noises that killers emit cover up practically anything.
happy new year everybody <3
-
how ab a mode where survivors try to fix a vehicle & escape? i know it was the first concept of DBD and a little similar to F13 but that game is dead now and i think this would be a somewhat okay addition. i'd be totally up for a 2v8 mode tho <3

they didn't attack anybody. in fact, they were speaking facts. but that's none of my business <3

@ABannedCat said:
It would be logical really, and makes the atmosphere of the game more realistic.
And the best thing, survivor-mains cant cry about it being a nerf, because sound is so bad in this game, killers can't hear you anyway.
So its a win-win. Make it happen, devs.!
right? also thanks for the positive feedback. i felt like somebody was gonna say something negative about this but i guess not haha

Kinda agree.
I always like more BP, but i wouldn't mind it being bumped up for Survivors first.

Actually, NOED would probably be the worst choice.
It says for how long the Hex Totem is up, not how long the Hex Perk has.
NOED is only late-game, and it might reward you 0 additional BP if they cleanse all Totems before late-game.
yeah noed would probably be last on my hex farming build list.
i realize that this suggestion was not very good. ποΈ
-
yes! the struggle mechanic needs to be changed.
preferably holding the struggle button could be a simple solution and to be sacrificed you could let go, or instead, succeeding skill checks. but yes i agree with you :)

Going to modify your suggestion because many, including myself, don't like how scratch marks are spread apart β it's covering more area which makes it easy to spot at long range. π
Lightweight:
Scratch marks that you leave behind are visibly delayed to the killer by 1/2/3 seconds. Noises that you make while moving are reduced by 4/6/8 meters.
Basically, scratch marks that are less than 3 seconds old won't be visible to the killer. Then, once they become visible, the killer will only have 4 seconds left to track you before they fade away.
Remember, scratch marks only last for 7 seconds. ππ€
that sounds like a wayy better suggestion than what i came up with. :)

good. predator is already a bad perk and shouldn't be used unless it's for a gimmick/tracking build.

I don't think scratch marks spawning further apart promotes stealth. It makes them easy to see at a longer distance.

-
@NMCKE said:

For how long? π
it could probably look something like this
Predator:
Scratch marks left by survivors spawn considerably closer together. Uninjured survivors will leave behind scratch marks if they walk within 6/8/10 meters of you.
basically it can counter fixated, and probably lightweight.
Lightweight:
Scratch marks that you leave behind spawn considerably farther apart. Noises that you make while moving are reduced by 4/6/8 meters.
basically countering predator. it can also be used in a stealth build.
-
people like you need to stop clogging up the forums with these types of posts. accept the fact that keys and moris shouldn't be nerfed heavily. quit crying over something that happens infrequently.
