  • A concurrent concern I see amongst killers is that 'gens' fly. In 2v8 we have seen survivors have to do more gens but for a reduced amount of time. This likely adds time overall as survivors have to travel across the map to do more gens, but also it pushes them into the path of the killer more often. Similarly, as park of Blood Moon we have seen different types of gens in the mix. Survivors have

  • I’ve had three matches today and two of them had some abysmal survivor play. One match a Sable (of course) decided to kill hers self on hook and the other two survivors just threw themselves at the killer. 4 gens undone. My third match none of the other three survivors touched a gen once, apart from me who solo did a gen. We spent 15 minutes just unhooking, healing and running round. Honestly

  • I was playing on decimated borgo and there was a new hill design - is was ‘S’ shaped and looked like it belonged to another map. It also lead straight into a window vault and had loads of random blue patches around it. Has anyone seen this? I was trying to get some more shots but I couldn’t. You can see the blue patches around the window vault at the back of the shot.

  • yesterday I had a match where Wesker picked me up but he wasn’t able to hook me. He carried me round until the end of the EGC - it came and went. The sacrifice to the entity sound played but I, the Wesker and the huntress were still in the match. I’ve seen someone else have this issue today on the DBD Facebook group. It’s pretty game breaking as it means matches can’t end.

  • There seems to be an increasing amount of instances bow where the game ignores the prompt to pull down a pallet or it just doesn’t appear at all. Similarly, I’ve seen multiple instances over the last few weeks where survivors have pulled a pallet down onto a killer carrying a survivor, the pallet has made the noise where it connects and yet the killer isn’t stunned and doesn’t drop the person the

  • As the title says, I think there needs to be a change in how Lethal works. I’m so tired of loading into matches and being almost instantly ######### slapped by high mobility killers like Nurse, Billy, Wesker etc. it’s really disheartening being chased and downed within the first 5-10 seconds of a match. I propose, rather than all survivors be highlighted to a killers at the start of the match.

  • BHVR have tried a lot of modifiers over the last year or so, but none have ever really mixed up the core gameplay too much. How would you feel about a Killer V Killer mode where 4 (or more) killers go against each other to take each other out? It’s something that would really break up the monotony of the game right now and I think it would be a good incentive for people who don’t usually play ki

  • if we are going to bring back chaos shuffle for a third time, can we please have some time, either during the loading screen or when the match loads in but before it starts, to read the description of the perks we have been given and what they do? There are so many perks in this game I either don’t have or don’t use and have no idea what they do. By the time I’ve read up on it someone can be

  • Timer icon still appears on screen, but the speed boost definitely doesn’t seem to be there. People who rescue me off the hook run at the same pace as me - it’s weird. However, if they get hit by the killer their haste is clearly visible. Am I missing something? Has off the hook haste always been slower and I’m only now just noticing?

  • then more strategic placement of resources needs to be factored in too. I personally don’t believe ‘RNG’ is much of a factor anymore as most of the more modern maps have near identical layouts. This is the layout of a cold wind map I’ve just had - no main building only the shack. The photos are taken from the same hook;

  • Serious question because when I watch streamers on PC they seem to be able to keep killers going at loops for ages without hits and downs. Similarly when running across the map and using line of sight blockers as much as possible etc killers seem to catch up to me a lot quicker than them. I’m talking like for like plays too and even mimicking what I see as ‘good chase technique’. A lot of the ti

  • How on Earth are there still three gens on the road in Haddonfield when the map is now the size of a postage stamp? This honestly needs looking at for rebalancing.

  • I’ve had a couple of matches now where hexes become active and no one seems to be able to find the totem to cleanse it, despite thorough searches.

  • If BHVR insist on making all the maps the size of postage stamps moving forward, with Mount Ormond being the most recent one to have shrunk in the wash, can we at least go back to having some of the OG aesthetic that made the game more more atmospheric? Thicker fog, daytime maps being reverted back to night time maps (never understood daytime maps in a game called Dead by DAYLIGHT) and moonlight

  • I took a break from DBD over the last week or so as I was expecting 2v8 to be phased out and thought it would be wise. I enjoyed 2v8 a lot for it more quick paced nature and streamlined perks etc. I know it’s still active but I decided I’ll go back to 1v4 as there’s only a few days left and everything is just so slow, arduous and monotonous in that mode now. Sure it’s nice to have some of the per

  • I had a match the other day when I got the hatch to escape - I was the last survivor and we had one gen left. When I jumped in the hatch, the doors powered which I thought was odd but i wasn’t really paying attention to the surrounding things as I was just happy to have found it. Yesterday, I got the hatch again and it was more visible this time. When I jumped in, the hatch closed behind me an

  • Would it be possible to tweak some of Lara’s noises: Her hook scream is unbearable - far too loud compared to her other noises and goes on for much longer than some other survivors. It’s quite grating. She’s got an alternate scream that is far more palatable. When she is infected by the plague she coughs non stop. Other survivors are slightly more intermittent . I find the Plague hard to go

  • This started with Fractured Cow shed which had all of its useful windows blocked off in the main building and has now spread. There have been three windows blocked up in Haddonfield which have been replaced with ridiculously unsafe alternatives e.g the house with the generator which has had the window behind it sealed only to be replaced by a really unsafe pallet and massive holes put in the wall

  • The current trend at BHVR seems to be to go from one extreme to the other. We've gone from too many strong gyms to having loads of really pointless ones (for survivors). I'm talking about the ones that are three-five sets of walls that run vertically and all parallel to each other. There's often one vault in all of them and often no pallets to use. They're really annoying as they offer no use t

  • I personally feel so. We have done glaring issues with map design at the moment. Some maps that have been through the realm beyond, despite being visually improved, have lost a lost their great DBD atmosphere. They also seem to lose a lot of their variety when they're redone. Badham and the swamps are still yet to see any work but you can just tell they'll be full of dead zones and we will come f

  • Seriously in recent weeks it's gotten beyod he pale. Survivor looping you too long? DC. Too many gens done too quickly? DC. The gates are powered? DC. Between this and the tunnelling and slugging going on right now the game is an absolute state. The DC issue is definitely more of a daytime issue, but it's getting rediculous. At least run a solid end game build or something to bring it back; like

  • Is there a server issue or something today or are killers just getting salty? I've had 8 disconnect today at varying points of the match and varying levels of success. All different killers and different users. Are we really this against an event? It's the only change I can see recently accounting for this behaviour.

  • They seem to have been made more stupid or something lately. I've had a string of matches where one person DCs; normally this doesn't bother me as bots on the whole haven't been too bad. However over the last few days I've encountered some corkers; bots who refuse to heal, none of them seem to touch a gen at all anymore and even more annoying is they seem to make a beeline for other survivors whe

  • Hi all. I was recently gifted an iMac and was surprised to see that there is no Mac OS support for DBD. I play my Xbox version through XCloud which isn't perfect but fine. How come there has never been a Mac version? Just our of curiosity.

  • Is it even still a thing? BHVR said they were introducing the feature to avoid getting the same maps in close rotation, but it seems to have gotten worse. Yesterday I played for a few hours after a week or so away and I legitimately got Mother's Dwelling, Gas Heaven and Pale Rose on rotation endlessly. I got Lérys twice due to offerings and one natural trip to Dead Dawg, but literally nothing els

  • I'm not sure if anyone else is having a shocking time today but the game is borderline unplayable for me on Xbox. I've had 5 matches disconnect from the loading screen claiming the match was cancelled, three matches where one person DCs - one of which was a survivor and ended the match for all of us with no BP for anyone. I've had two relatively normal matches but my god have I had to wait for

  • As with the title, what in your opinion, do you think the devs should do to improve the experience of DBD this year?
10 comments 131 views last activity
  • This is an idea I've been thinking about recently to switch up the game whilst keeping true to the experience- it could possibly be a new mode rather than a replacement. It is inspired somewhat by the way Friday the 13th worked, which I played before I moved over to DBD. Whilst I enjoy DBD I do think F13 had some more variety to it that could be an inspiration moving forward e.g. more objectives

  • I very rarely use items these days and as such doing the blood web feels a bit pointless - I only really bother with it to level up my perks when I move to a new survivor for an aesthetic change so I think items could potentially do with a shake up. Items can also extend to in game mechanics/offerings for the purpose of the discussion. Item / Change / Rationale Green Key / Remove it comp

  • For a while now, I've been having some issues.. Firstly, and most consistently when I pull a palate down, the game pushes me to the far side of the pallate to perform the action. This often pushes you closer to the killer, sometimes it stuns them and you can vault over which is not ideal as you still lose escape time, but better than the alternative which gives the killer a free hit. • The mobile app, surpsingly, has some interesting and useful design choices, in my opinion, over the PC and console version. For example, I'd like to see the swipe to run continuously function brought over in the form of a toggle to run, quite like other functions that have had this treatment already. Also, the mobile version has a visible representation of the terror radius in the form o

  • I've had RPD2.0 East Wing twice so far today and I'm struggling to understand why it was changed.. I'm a fan of RE so playing RPD was fine for me cause I knew the layout. I actually liked some additions BHVR made over the official one. However I appreciate for survivors is was confusing to navigate and for killers it was unpleasant as it was too large. When they announced the wings I thought

  • "Into the fog" used to be the series strap line, even as recent as the RE chapter. I stumbled across a video of old gameplay today and I forgot how different the game used to look. Sure its had a graphic update, but I don't think it's been 100% for the best. I forgot how much fog there used to be as standard and it gave the game a much creepier vibe. Some maps these days like New Haddonfield also

  • Has anyone else noticed a MASSIVE increase in the use of THANA since the recent update? I'm seeing it currently in about 95% of matches and I personally think its having a massive impact considering the mid chapter changes; especially when it coupled with the likes of Corrupt or Dead Man's Switch. What are people's opinions?

  • I may have missed this, so sorry if it has been discussed. But I notice the man who normally sits in the chair on the rift, who I understand is called The Observer, has gone and the scene is a mess. Has this been explained? I don't normally buy too much into the lore but thought this was interesting.

  • This is an idea for an anti-camping and (somewhat) anti-tunnelling Perk I've been thinking about based the premise of Pyramid Head's cage traps. Perk: Divine Intervention "Your resistance to pain and and will to survive has provoked an uncanny interest of The Entity who wants to see what you're capable of" When you have been hooked for 30/20/10 (commulative for time on the hook) seco

  • First of all I want to say that this is not an anti-killer post. I completely understand the point Corrupt Intervention plays in offering killers a more fair chance and having a good match and I fully support that mentality. I'm a survivor main and on the few occasions I do have a go at playing Killer the gens can pop so quickly I fully get why some killers get irritated and feel the need to

  • Something really needs to be done about killers knocking survivors down and not hooking them, running off rinsing and repeating until all survivors are down, then going for easy hooks. Combine that with the tunneling and camping craze combined with most killers now seeming to bring BBQ,Corrupt and No Way Out. Over the last two days the majority of matches has gone this way and at times It's

  • Seems WAY too OP, that's if it's not a hack of some sort. I've played multiple matches against Michaels now who can kill you instantly without even downing you. I don't know if this is a killer perk or a hack but I had one match where he killed all four people this way and it's getting dull. It seems to be an increasing thing. There are so many posts about easy survivor wins that need nerfs and t

  • There has been a lot of talk about killers getting frustrated over the speed at which gens pop and a lot of discussion over how that could be best resolved. The main idea by many seems to be to reduce the speed which I feel is a no-go. Doing a solo gen at the moment can take an age and is already on the verge of boring so to add more time to it would not be the right way to go. I propose enforci

  • This seems very sporadic and I'm not sure if it's a bug that needs reporting. I've just had a match on Lerys where we were there for no more than about 10 seconds before the killer DCd. When I got back to the lobby I'd lost my item. This has happened a few times and I don't understand the logic behind it, if it is indeed a choice not a bug, because it counts as an escape when the killer DCs so I

  • I think if you're downed and youre the last survivor your should either be able to heal out of the dying phase once or still use items. Ive had multiple matches now where the killer will down multiple people and wonder off. Whether to find others or perhaps to find the hatch. But it's rather boring if you crawl away and manage to evade the killer to have nothing to do but wait to bleed out. T

  • I quite like sprint burst in theory but in reality is a bit lacklustre. You either have to waste it or walk everywhere which is annoying. I think it would work better if you had to press the action button to activate SB when you feel you need it. However it should be offset by doubling the recovery time. Im sure many players, particularly killers, won't be fans of this but I'd be interested t

  • I've been experimenting with some new perks recently after getting too comfy with my go to ones. I tried having a go with boil over, amongst others, but even at purple level it seems entirely pointless. I've done about 20 matches with it over a few days and I've never once got past more than about 75% struggle before being hooked and that was a rare occurrence. Sacrifice hooks are often far

  • Over the past few weeks I've had a handful of matches that seems to not have a killer on them. I use Dark Sense as a perk so I get an idea of where and who the killer is once one gen is done. But there have been maps where this hasn't shown anything. Fair enough it could be Ghost/Michael or the Pig/ Wraith who are cloaked, but normally you will see them at least once when a gen has been done.

  • When playing a variety of matches I am noticing that once you use deliverance to unhook yourself once you try to run there is a bit of lag/pull back. The character will try to run then come to an almost stop as if you've ran into the corner of a wall or something before continuing to run again at full speed. I have noticed this only with Zarina Kassir but it is happening on a variety of maps.

  • Why do survivors try to unhook other survivors when the killer is still either very near or right there? It seems to be happening a lot lately and you can't even blame killers for taking the easy downs. Is there some technique here I'm missing because it's infuriating to get three people downed when it was avoidable.
