Hatch rework imminent?
I had a match the other day when I got the hatch to escape - I was the last survivor and we had one gen left. When I jumped in the hatch, the doors powered which I thought was odd but i wasn’t really paying attention to the surrounding things as I was just happy to have found it.
Yesterday, I got the hatch again and it was more visible this time. When I jumped in, the hatch closed behind me and again the doors powered just as the and game screen (where your character is running) kicked in.
Is this a bug? Or do you think it’s indicative of a mechanic change for an impending rework? Perhaps going back to the hatch spawning earlier, but only for one person to use?

99% certain this is just a Bug. The Patch released with a lot of them, this is most likely one of them.
Seems like a big to me.
Would love to see something announced though. Hatch is sadly one of the outdated mechanics that does more harm than it helps.
Despite what many say, I'm convinced, that a better handling of the end game wour result in less stale situations and more fun overall.
There is no reason to announce anything with this Bug.
For a brief moment EGC starts before the game is over. Thats about it. The Bug has 0 impact and it is just people putting on their tinfoil hats that this might hint to a future change.

I meant that in general. I would love to see something announced in the near future, because slugging for the 4k is awful.
Almost certain that this is just a bug. Same with how Survivors can open gates without the "opening" animation being shown. Case in point:
I love Laras 1000-yards-stare as she focuses on the leaver to flick itself.
I feel like she has //seen// things 👀 She needs some bourbon after having been in the Entity's clutches after one week 😭
So, it was for the 8v2 in the end clearly. Not so much a ‘tin hat’ situation in the end.

OP's like "Do you think this bug could mean they're messing with the hatch mechanic?" which is a very understandable question, and the reply is "NOTHING is happening. It's just a bug. They aren't testing ANYTHING and you're stupid for even suggesting such a thing."
The bug could easily have been introduced because they messed with the hatch code for the 2v8 mode hatch with special rules. I don't think it's related to some hatch rework, but I don't think you have to treat people like they're stupid or delusional just for wondering why the hatch is behaving strangely.
