The main problem with the judgement is that they are an EXTREME long range killer. Along the lines of artist or knight or pinhead. That type of killer requires a skill level much higher than a basic m1 killer or a shorter range killer. You have to be able to predict survivor movement, you have to understand the map and zoning and how to work angles and tiles in a highly intuitive way. The judgem5 comments 120 views last activity

It just strikes me as an odd choice for a "community created killer" to end up creating a killer who's powers are some of the hardest to use in the entire game. When I first saw the concept design, I was super excited to main this killer and buy the cosmetics and everything. But when I see streamers who literally play this game for a living struggle to play this killer, it really makes me scrat10 comments 311 views last activity

And I say this because the counter to Jason, slowly crouch walking around the map, has got to be some of the most game dragging out mindless stuff since mending simulator legion. It's okay every once in a while, for a short duration, but when you have everybody in the match doing it, and Jason just holds his power until somebody reveals himself, the game gets boring as hell. Art belongs in dbd because he is a modern horror icon. And that's what dbd is about, bringing in horror movie icons. I would consider him more of a horror icon, for instance, than Vecna from Dungeons and Dragons. As far as not liking Art being in dbd because "he's too violent in what he does to adults" than how would one explain the exact same people wanting Pennywise the clown who literally e20 comments 651 views last activity

As someone who mainly plays survivor, I feel like what I do hasn't changed a lot in the past couple of years. But when I started trying to play killer again after a couple years of not playing it, that role has changed an awful lot. For the worse. I mean, it's bad. Really bad. I keep seeing bringing up the topic of "what if survivors could see who the killer is in the lobby?" And yes, dodging would be an issue. But nobody seems at all concerned that if survivors literally know who you are in the lobby, they can create their build around countering what your powers are as killer. Oh, it's a doctor? As someone who has quite a lot of hours in survivor, I can tell pretty early in a match if I'm going up against a killer who isn't on that kind of level. And I feel sorry for them if it's not an even match. I don't think, "ha ha ha terrible killer, ha ha I'm better you should uninstall." But I definitely get that vibe off my teammates. Especially when it's a match against some baby huntress and m13 comments 271 views last activity

If a bunch of people are struggling to play a game, I understand where the whole gamer advice of "get good," comes from. In a lot games, just putting in the practice and effort makes sense. But you can't really apply that kind of logic to dbd because dbd is a game where you can have literally a thousand hours in it and still be considered a noob. I think it would be cool if there was a modifier where five survivors spawn into a match. All survivors spawn at the furthest ends of the map away from one another. The survivor who spawns in with a knife in their hand (which they can hide) is the killer for the match. Killer has basekit powers similar to ghostfase. But with the ability to cage survivors after downing them. (Similar to pyramidhea1 comments 41 views last activity

Unless somebody is running an extremely fast killer like blight or ghoul, who can kick a gen and zip right after a survivor, I'm struggling to justify running gen kick perks. Which is a shame, because I use to get a lot of value out of perks like eruption and overcharge. Especially overcharge. I definitely feel like I'm at an mmr level where survivors could hit skill checks blind folded, so stuff18 comments 543 views last activity

As a soloq survivor, I lose matches all the time. It's not unusual to have a situation where almost everybody is death hook at four gens. Yet it never feels like a miserable defeat to me. It doesn't feel PERSONAL. I never get the feeling like the killer is doing things on purpose to get under my skin. But playing killer tonight after a long time of playing survivor really reminded me of what the13 comments 402 views last activity

I couldn't imagine being survivor in chaos shuffle and NOT expecting tunneling, slugging and campingI main survivor. And even I load up into every chaos shuffle match fully expecting there to be slugs, running back to hook and tunneling. Because it's chaos shuffle. The killer doesn't have a full slow down build, aura build, a complimentary build to their killer. So they're entire strategy they built around their killer and their unique powers/abilities is gone. To me, the new Vecna is lot like Pinhead or Pyramidhead. They are strong killers when played at a higher skill level. (And in Vecnas case, an understanding of survivor movement and map layout.) It's extremely difficult to learn their power in customs because bots are extremely good at dodging their attacks. So you end up missing tons of shots in public matches and survivors getting smug and cocky17 comments 551 views last activity

Regardless of what some streamers think, overzealous is not some super powerful gen perk that's gonna help you zip through gens. If anything, it's a massive time waster that can easily be canceled out by bad team mates or "totem goblin" teammates. Because it's one of those perks that highly depends on what your teammates are doing in order to flourish. Unless you're playing at a higher mmr level14 comments 672 views last activity

And let me tell you why. Dead by Daylight, regardless of their plans to this that or another, has really lied to us and taken our money. They're not an MMO pump and dump scam. They DO consistently try to find ways to make people happy with the game, even though the community erupts into chaos whenever the least little change gets brought up. There are games that will do you way worse than dbd. An8 comments 311 views last activity

If 2v8 were a permanent mode, I would never play 1v4 again. I enjoy everything about 2v8, from the challenge of evading two separate killers to the chaos of so many survivors running around and tons of stuff going on all at once. 1v4 just feels so tiny and mundane by comparison. To me, it's the closest mode that feels like a more casual experience. Because with all the chaos and fun of 2v8, I rea11 comments 271 views last activity

One of the absolute worst ways to balance dbd, in regards to keeping new players and improving the experience of the AVERAGE player, would be to focus on feedback from players that are at the absolute height of the player skill set. Because their experience in the game on a daily basis is going to be miles away from what most players are going to be experiencing. This is because dead by daylight is not the kind of game where the average player is going to be some 5k hour pro who plays the game like they're a comp player. The average (read MOST) newer and casual players are what many people in the fandom would call "bad players." People who don't play the game in the smartest way humanly possible. Farm. That's the easiest way to get survivors "comfortable enough" to actually kick pumpkins and mess around with the void. But farm with a plan and a purpose. I bring corrupt intervention, merciless storm, overcharge and deadlock to pump the breaks on gens long enough that multiple survivors might wander into the void. Other than that, I do chase, kick generators (to get overcharge) but I don't16 comments 311 views last activity

I know a lot of people talk about how overly competitive dbd is. But out of all of the online multi-player games I've played, it's probably one of the least toxic, competitive games in my experience. The pvp and war players in New World Aeturnum make Dead By Daylight look like Monopoly Go by comparison. (And players in New World can switch on their mic whenever they want to and tell you off. I still feel like the extra pallets change is going to benefit survivors in higher mmr more than some in lower mmr. Because more experienced survivors will often loop and save resources and chain tiles, so they're going to get a whole lot more use out of the extra pallets. As opposed to lower mmr/less experienced survivors who, instead of looping, will just contune to hold forward and throw down6 comments 34 views last activity

Given the most likely theories surrounding the new killer, such as the idea that she might be able to seperate her head from her body and float after survivors, I have to wonder if her ability is some kind of mix of twins and Draculas bat form. Which is interesting because the twins kit heavily leans towards slugging. And now we have the anti slug changes coming. Could It possibly be that new ki0 comments 42 views last activity

I have a lot of thoughts on the anti tunnel and anti slug changes. Some positive and some concerns. For the most part, I think not as much will change in the lower MMR on the survivor side. Where survivors tend to be more scared of the killer and are off hiding in a corner somewhere after an unhook. But I do think that higher MMR survivors are going to use these changes to play as aggressively as5 comments 111 views last activity

As someone who is absolute trash at the particular killers you have to choose from in 2v8, I wish I had the option to get paired up with a bot killer instead of a real person. I hate letting anybody down or having another killer immediately DC if they see me miss a shot or get spun. (Yes the latter has actually happened.) As someone who plays a lot of custom games against bots as killer, I think it would be cool if I could choose the outfits the bots survivors get to wear. After all, I already get to choose their perks, items and add ons. Getting to pick out their cosmetics from my collection would add a more interactive and engaging element to the bots. There are also cosmetics that I really like on characters I1 comments 201 views last activity

I want to start out by saying that, although I enjoyed the new fantastic four, I can't help but feel that it could have been a much better film. I think there are mainly three mistakes that were made with it, that hurt it overall: No Doom as an important recurring figure throughout the film. That's the biggest mistake. There are some villains that put butts in theater seats and some that don't.0 comments 32 views last activity

I have mixed feelings about the possibility of seeing other people's perks in the loading lobby. On the one hand, I'm always looking for ways to be a better teammate. And knowing what other play styles other people are going to be using would help me to better understand them in the match. It would also give me a better idea of the tone of the match going in. I think there a two reasons why there would never be a super casual mode in DBD. The main reason of course would be the effect of killer wait times in regular mode. That's always a consideration in adding any "really interesting" mode that might over compete with regular q. The secondary reason is because DBD is simply too competitive for many people and nobody would respect it. If you ever want19 comments 401 views last activity

I think it would be cool if there were a limited series where each season was about an original dead by daylight killer before they are taken by the entity. Something in the ballpark of the Fear Street series on Netflix. One season could be Trapper. One season could be Legion. I want to start out by saying that when I look at dbd, I don't look at it like it's my own personal comfort horror game, I look at it like it's a business. Which it is. If I'm running a full hex build, I wish there was some way to go up to a hex in the game and see exactly which hex it is. Just like how survivors can go up to a boon and see what boon it is. With FNAF on the horizon, I think it's important to understand what that brings to the table in regards to DBD's future. It's a chance to grow. But an important part of understanding that reality is knowing that if dbd is a chain, soloq is absolutely the weakest link in the chain. It's without a doubt the weakest position in all of dbd. And is quite frankly a brutal place to be for newer players.38 comments 801 views last activity

And I'm saying this because, if you put the two games side by side, and compare them to the movie, the Until Dawn game has the core concepts of dbd with a few symbolic add ons from Until Dawn. It's practically dbd bones with an Until Dawn skin tacked on. The movie is about a group of survivors who have to escape while dying a gazillion times to different killers. My immediate response to seeing the update note for Pentimento was that I'm not shocked at this change, with Pinhead leaving and hex plaything becoming a "free perk" along with the looming prospect of tons of new players coming in from the fnaf fandom. I imagine the devs want to avoid a situation where a massive influx of players could potentially be hit with Pentimento and plaything. Hence why I13 comments 1,081 views last activity

When The Casting Of Frank Stone came out, I know a lot of people were scratching their heads about the different versions of Augustine, including the after credits scene. For those killers who, like me, enjoy testing out new killers in custom game mode, I've come up with a build for the survivor bots that makes going up against them easier to do. This is essentially playing dbd bots in "easy mode." I hover over the name of each bot, press down and then hit the edit bot option. Then I give each bot the same perks, scene partner, no mither, and invocation treachero0 comments 1,211 views last activity

I think one of the things that wears down a person playing dbd is just how fiercely competitive it can be. And how unrewarding it can be with so much focus on either escaping all the time or killing all the time. I think it would be great to add a mini game to dbd like a pinball game. You get a token for each trial that you complete, whether you escape or kill survivors wouldn't matter. You can t4 comments 41 views last activity

Back when I heard that Clive Barker had regained the rights to Pinhead, I wondered how that would work with Pinhead being in DBD. Yes, I'm aware of the other thing that went on with Pinhead, but I think the development with Barkers rights is probably the more pressing of the two things. After all, it's his sandbox and he gets to decide who plays in it. I do respect that, though the idea of having4 comments 964 views last activity

And let me explain why. I've never had a bot refuse to do gens, creep around the map and hide in lockers all game, wait for me to die so they could get the hatch, sandbag me so that I get hit and not them, become besties with the killer or send me a salty message after a game. I feel like the changes to Wake Up have awakened some of the debate around players who hide a lot during the match, which in turn leads to their teammates getting killed off sooner. So I had an idea of a mode that would heighten the chaos of DBD by letting both sides be extremely powerful. It's a 1v4 where there's six generators to be repaired. But everyone in the trial gets to use eight perks each. So it's double the power and unpredictability, making survivors somewhat near as powerful as killers can be. Add other objectives to DBD a long with doing generators. And give players enough BP to allow them to progress in the game a little, even if they don't escape or the survivors do gens super fast. I think it would be interesting to do an event that is like "killer fusion" where two original killers are combined to make a new killer, but with some form of both abilities. Or perhaps a new ability that is some kind of combination. For instance, Nurse/Huntress would have nurse's blink and huntress hatchets. The character would visually look like a combination of both characters, say nurses fac0 comments 41 views last activity

I've been giving it a lot of thought and I think the only thing that's going to cut down the whole "killing ones self on hook to go to another game" is to make it so that when someone dies, they become a ghost and are still in the trial. To make it to where you're butt doesn't leave the game until the trial is over, so you've either got to eat the dc or hang around the ghost realm. It could be li3 comments 92 views last activity

In the past couple of days, I've been having problems getting booted from games due to either the server crashing or I get a "must be connected to Internet to play" message. The main thing I hope for in the new year is getting to play as killer in custom matches and at least getting some BP or being able to complete challenges.
